She can handle any client and is amazingly personable. Her compassion for people makes her a great stylist that always ensures her clients are happy. Sage Smith This is the first haircut Ive had in a while that came out exactly as I wanted. Every little snip matters with short hair, and he basically brought back a style I hadnt even realized Id drifted away from over the years and missed. Angel is super flexible and got my requests down exactly.

Carmen Coldiron Absolutely love Ventana salon, I would never dream of going to another place! Angel has worked miracles on my hair from bright reds and orange to all black, he always hits it on the mark. I went to him with my hair really damaged and he used products to help repair it. I change my hair a lot and Im always confident in his abilities. Also, I always find it awkward at salons to try and find conversation, but Angel is funny and sociable, so my appointments are always fun.

Meredith M I love the staff here. Salon red is always helpful in working with my schedule . I drive in from an hour away because I wont let anyone else touch my hair. If there is ever a problem they are quick to listen to my needs and fix it. I have my favorites but reverting here is good at what they do and are very professional.

I do absolutely hate the chair I have to sit in for 3 hours do she gives me rolled up towels or cushions to sit on: In future I want them to upgrade chairs and have something more modern but I understand this isn’t any of her doing and the chairs were this way before she got there: No problem: we will be following her anywhere she goes to so the price is a small one to pay for her skills: She is the only person that has made my dreadlocks look amazing, really neat and tidy like I like them and allows me to give her feedback even if it doesn’t align with what she wanted to do (I.e. me suggesting she not use a Product only to find out later the product was badly needed to even hold my hair in place due to the curly hairs I have). Next time I’ll try to listen to her more but she allowed me to be in control and have autonomy of my body and head . Which is very important for folks with PTSD and anxiety. We need to Have control over parts of our life: she didn’t do a mean “I told you so” she simply said “ okay let’s go back to how we used to do it, is that cool?” It was a nice refreshing experience. Coming from who I used to go to (won’t mention names ) this is awesome to be able to give my stylist feedback and have it paid attention to . Thanks again Julez! Message me for my next appt slot! Lindsay Ehsai My grandma and I both call this our salon because these ladies are amazing. They actually become your friend and get to know you and remember things you said and ask you about it the next time. Their prices are better than most in the area. I recommend visiting these ladies. I used to see Melissa, but shes got an incredibly busy schedule covering for a coworker out to have a baby, so Ive seen Diane the last 2 times. Theyre both great! I do not have a preference between the two because I love them both!!! I havent been to the other ladies, but Im sure theyll do a great job as well!

Maria Guerrero Took my 7 year old who really wanted a specific haircut and color. He was asked along the way on how he wanted his cut and how he wanted the colors to look. He was nervous since it was a new look for him but very much appreciated being included. They gave him a special reveal for his final look and he absolutely loved it. She transformed my hair and made me look absolutely stunning. It was a LOT of work to correct the all the damage that had been done. I would HIGHLY recommend her. She was not the only one in the shop that was amazing. They all knew what they were doing. There was at least 5 ladies and every single one of them had the talent and skills to do an amazing job. Jennifer Sitton This place has me so stoked! I have been looking for a place to keep up with my v-style undercut and I definitely found it! The vibe is super chill and as soon as I walked in I was greeted and offered a water or beer while I waited. Moments later Abraham said he could take care of my cut and today it would be no easy feat. I had gone a year without trimming my long top length of my hair and the damage was extensive and I had let my v-style undercut grow out too long as well. A.b ( for short) did not seemed fazed by my mess at all. He was calm kind and asked all the right questions to make sure I was going to get the exact look I was wanting. I have only had 2 other haircuts in my life as good as this one and the ran between $100 and $300 each! A.b only charged me $38 and as I sit here loving how my hair looks and feel I need to send him more than my original tip of $22 because its worth way more! Vasquez Squad Im going to give it 5 stars based on customer service, the cleanliness of salon, friendly staff, quick response to my Google message, and Claudia doing such a good job and giving advice. The ONLY thing Ill say is she might have cut a way MORE than I wanted, and its taking some time to readjust to that. She washed, cut, and styled my hair. It feels much lighter, and rejuvenated at the least. Will more than likely go back to her when its time, but will make sure she doesnt chop off all my hair. Muchas gracias!

Matthew Hernandez Their booking site completely failed—I selected a date, and it sent me to a completely different one. I arrived at the barbershop and sat there for over 30 minutes before they finally admitted they couldn’t fit me in for hours. After wasting my time, they had the nerve to try upcharging me just to get my beard shaped later. Total incompetence and a complete disregard for customers’ time.

I was going somewhere else in Austin, but I needed something closer to home and open on the weekends, as well as knowing how to do what I wanted done. Well, let me tell you! Not only she ignores what I said she goes on and says this style looks better but yet ignores the customers Hair Choice. And when I called her out on it that she cutes the top she says I didnt I cute the poofiness which aka the top of my head. Never again going back dont listen and trys to leave haircut messed up when customers trys to confront her she says no its fine perfect but its not.

Nicole Wade Ive been getting my hair done by Cyrell for the last six years and I will never let anyone other than Cyrell touch my hair. She definitely knows what shes doing and does everything she can to keep hair healthy. Before I met Cyrell, my hair was damaged by other stylists constantly. Jacob Carpenter Ben was the first hairstylist I met to take the time to teach me how to manage my wavy hair. He did an incredible job and you can tell hes passionate about his work.

Texas Ed I made a 12 noon appointment with Ben one week in advance. I arrived for the appointment 10 minutes early and Ben was not at the salon. I waited 5 to 10 minutes and he was a no show so I left. I received a text later that said he had "run an errand". This shows that he places little importance to punctuality. This was my first and last experience with this shop.

Shari Hulshof On recommendation from a neighbor, I set an appointment and was scheduled with Ben. I was so pleasantly surprised at the specificity of his approach! My hair is thinning and fine and his care suggestions were great! He steered me away from what I went in for, and came out with a precision haircut and a lovely coloring that has been very easy to maintain for the past 4 mornings! Ben is kind, engaging and has a good sense of humor as well as a broad knowledge of his craft!

Melanie Irish I was referred here by a friend. I got my hair cut here twice, and was very happy with how it came out. After that I started feeling like I didnt matter. When your appointment is blown off because a quick getaway is more important, and then you keep getting told that the schedule is booked and you have to wait. Meanwhile over a month has gone by and your hair keeps looking worse and worse. Then youre passed off to the other hairdressers. One of them gets back to you the next day saying, she is booked, and the other hairdresser never gets back to you at all. Please dont waste your time going here. Your business wont matter.

Millie Parash Be aware, extremely rude when answering the phone and in person: Obviously, an owner mindset wouldnt rudely hang up the phone **twice** scaring off future customers just because she said “she didn’t understand you”, and when you walk into the business, in disbelief that its the owner who answered you, confused by the 4.8 stars that took you to contact this business in the first place, she, who calls herself "the owner", realizing that you are the same person she mistreated on the phone a few minutes before, asks you to walk close to her so that the other customers do not hear what she just did to you, and when you refuse she asks you and your son **in the most humiliating way** to leave the place. That morning, my teenage son, a high school student, was looking for a walk-in haircut. The 4.8 stars recommending this business prompted us to make the first call, the second call, and our visit to the business in disbelief to alert the owners. In the current times we live in and thanks to the Internet, you cant act so mean to citizens of your community and get away with it hoping to maintain your high starts levels. I pray that whoever decides to approach this business will not be treated so badly. In our case, before calling, we did not get to read at the bottom of the “reviews” on this page where another person from our community also has complained of the same rudeness.

Vincent Newberry It’s a bummer that someone actually posted a 1 star review for this place for not taking walk ins, even without experiencing the 5+ star treatment you get when you do take the time to schedule an appointment. If you want a 1 star experience at a place that takes walk-in’s, please do that, but if you want a place run by a family that will treat you like family and you the time and attention you deserve and at a reasonable price… then go here. You’re not just another face and another dollar with Danny, Barbara and Jason or anyone else that works here, they treat you well, do a fantastic job and earn your repeat business for sure. Had the person that left a 1 star review scheduled an appointment they would have experienced it themselves. I am speaking as a long time customer.

Alex Great haircut from Jason, highly recommended if you want a budget friendly good haircut. They only accept cash but do have an ATM if needed. Also as of writing this review it is appointment only no walk ins.

bleesdo This place is great! Family owned and operated. Everyone is very nice. Vivian did an amazing job and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday is senior citizens discount(over age 60). Downtown location. During Covid restrictions, appointment only, but usually walk ins welcome.

Ivan Castro Great facility, be patient on the weekends and youll be rewarded with a good movie/Fresh Prince of Bel-Air episodes as well as a great cut. I personally go to Jason, his attention to detail is second to none, but all barbers are very capable. Small town feel,great staff, and enjoy some good laughs. I recommend coming early, and a nice tip for the hard work they put in.
