Myiesha Young Absolutely love using this urgent care when our family need to be seen quickly. The staff are always quick, friendly and helpful. I would like to thank the receptionist today for going above and beyond making our little girl feel comfortable. She is always energetic, and has a great personality. To the amazing NP Rachel for being friendly and efficient. Also to Elle, MA for always having a smile and willing to help. This is a great location to visit if you need something quick.

Wolf pack From the moment I stepped in it was a pleasant experience. Everyone was so polite. They really took care of me. I was to get in and out about 30 minutes. I was so surprised. I received quality care. I will definitely be returning and letting family and friends know about them. A great place to go to. I had never experienced anything so great by going to this location.

Ashleigh Thompson I had a wonderful experience at this facility, thanks to the incredibly kind staff. Jacque, the concierge, genuinely made me feel welcomed, and Meghan, the provider, listened to my concerns with such compassion. I wasn’t kept waiting long, and I truly appreciated having the time to explain my symptoms without feeling rushed. The entire place is clean and well-organized, which added to my comfort. If you ever find yourself in need of urgent care, I highly recommend this supportive and caring environment.

bristo james My PA was great, the staff was great. Got in a lot faster than expected and was seen quickly. My only complaint is the patient portal app that is just terrible! It still won’t let me in or allow me to sign in as a new patient.

Rana Huwaidi Dr. Waters has truly changed my life. After suffering for over a year with burning and debilitating pain in my vaginal area, I felt hopeless. As a young woman, dealing with these symptoms was incredibly challenging, and multiple doctors dismissed my condition as cystitis, prescribing medications I would supposedly need for the rest of my life. However, through the will and mercy of God, I found Dr. Waters. Dr. Waters took a holistic approach to my treatment, guiding me to change my habits and providing me with the care I desperately needed. Today, I am feeling so much better and finally on a path to healing. I am beyond grateful for Dr. Waters expertise, compassion, and commitment to truly understanding my condition.

Nancy Griffin Dr. Alford has been my neurosurgeon for many, many years (2013 being the first surgery. I think.) He did 3 levels of cervical spine surgery as well as in L5/S1 fusion. His work is impeccable. He has an excellent bedside manner as well as a really nice sense of humor. As much as I appreciate Dr. Alford and his surgical precision, I wish I didnt have to have another surgery. Unfortunately, I have to have another cervical spine surgery. I wouldnt allow any other doctor to do the surgery. His support staff in the clinical setting are top-notch people. They are very well on top of things. They answer my silly questions happily. Honestly, I do not know anything about any other physician in the practice of the Fort Worth Brain and Spine Institute. If Dr. Alfords talents is any indication, I can only assume that all of the doctors in the practice are top-notch as well as all of the support teams. If you need any kind of neurosurgery, please consider Fort Worth Brain and Spine Institute.

Razonda Welch Dr. Lee was exceptionally open, compassionate, and forthright regarding my specific medical needs. Although I was not a candidate for the services offered at his office, Dr. Lee ensured that I received a referral to UTSW in Dallas. Remarkably, I received a call the following day to schedule an appointment for this Thursday, which is noteworthy given the high demand for services at their facility.

(96) Reviews Todd Cowan, MD:

Mackenzie Hughes I moved to Fort Worth about 3 years ago and needed to find a new doctor and my coworker suggested Dr. Todd Cowan. I haven’t had the best experience with pervious doctors so I wasn’t expecting much and was pretty anxious about the first visit. My first visit was with Meredith, she was and still is amazing!! She really listens when you talk she genuinely cares about what you are saying, she isn’t trying to rush you to get to the next patient or just prescribe you a bunch of medicine that will make you a zombie. You can tell that she genuinely cares and that was the first time I’ve ever felt really heard at a doctors office. And she is like that every time I see her she’s it’s just so kind and has a very calming and caring vibe. 10 out of 10 recommend!! My next visit was with Dr. Todd Cowan, again I was nervous because he’s the top dog in there, hands-down, the best doctor I have ever had. He is so friendly he’s funny, and he also listens and cares about every single one of his patients and he remembers you. that man is busy all the time but he’ll remember who you are and I think that’s pretty amazing. Again 10 out of 10 recommend Recently, I’ve started to see Laura, and Laura is absolutely amazing. She is so cheerful and easy to talk to. Any concerns that you have the will put your mind at ease, any question you have she’s going to have the answer for it, but she explains it in a way that doesn’t make it scary. She’s really made me start thinking about my family medical history and making sure that I am doing the right things to take care of myself and stay healthy and she also remembers everything you talked about last time I know that they have Notes in the system but she remembers little details again, you just feel very heard like someone is listening and cares. She just has a very bright energy when she walks in the room. She’s super easy to talk to, It doesn’t feel like you’re at the doctors. The entire staff from front desk is back office is amazing everyone is so friendly. This is the best experience I’ve ever had at a doctors office. I’ve referred a few friends here and they have had the same experience, and that speaks volumes. I know this is long, but if you’re looking for a doctor that actually cares about you. This is it!! 10 out of 10 across the board!!

Chuck Garrett Ive been a patient here for almost 30 years. If not a most caring and efficient Dr. and staff, I would have not remained nor referred so many friends over the years. Dr. Cowan is my kind of person and has had a great staff of PAs and Nurses over the years. Recently the time in the waiting room is almost nil. Thanks for keeping me healthy and well.
5 /5
Beth Skinner I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Cowan and his staff. He was recommended to us by a friend, and we are so grateful she recommended him! After being misdiagnosed by a previous doctor who wrote unnecessary prescriptions and gave out wrong diagnoses, Dr. Cowan was a breath of fresh air. He did not force prescriptions on us, was patient to listen to our concerns and was very good at explaining things to us. We love him and his staff is very courteous and helpful.

Rickey Mckay I have been seeing Dr. Cowan MD for around 25 to 30 years now. He is very serious about his patients health. He is the best doctor I have ever had treat me. He is easy to talk to very understanding and just a really great guy in general I do not think you could find a better doctor for your family practice provider than him just follow his advice and you will do well.

Joel Nabors My wife has been at this facility for several months now (three different admissions). The care she has received has been very good. Without mentioning names, from the nursing staff to the Techs to the respiratory department, the physical therapy & occupational therapy, and even the dietary department have all contributed greatly to her recovery. The attending doctors assigned to our case have been attentive, detailed, and caring. We have appreciated the balanced approach to healing and recovery. We have not only gleaned from the professionalism but also made new friends with several of these individuals.

Dyanna Espinoza Kindred is really a good place to go to when needing extra care. The staff was really friendly and care about you, and the reason why one is, there for, they make you as comfortable as possible and go out of there way to make you feel safe. Thank you for the great job in taking care of me.

Joann Rodriguez Ayala We stayed on the 2nd floor for over 2 weeks with my mom. Sam, Marcus and Douglas were AMAZING and the extra effort they put in to making my mom and I feel comfortable, safe and welcome deserves real acknowledgement (and a RAISE). It wouldnt have been the same stay without them and we are so appreciative and grateful for them. Overall however there is a sense of disconnect between departments, doctors and nurses. Seemingly simple questions couldnt get answered in a timely manner most days. There did not seem to be a huge sense of urgency with anything. I do feel however that this hospital is understaffed and lacking resources of all kinds which could be contributing to the situation.

Crystal Darden Came here after my husband suffered a massive stroke. He couldn’t speak the first 2 weeks we were here and they were pretty attentive. Of course there were some nurses that were not as good as the others. Overall they all did a good job taking care of him. We are very appreciative of all they have done for him. Night nurse Macy on the ICU floor was absolutely amazing! She takes pride in her job and really cares for her patients. Nurse tech Hilda on floor 2 was absolutely amazing. She remembered every time that my husbands left hip was in pain and she made sure that whoever was helping her change him knew as well and was careful with him. She did a very thorough job. Always made sure he was clean and comfortable! PT Mark and OT Jasmine were both so great. They always lightened the mood with their bright personalities. They also made sure my husband knew he was doing a good job. Latrella was another one that stood out to me. She made sure she stayed on my husband for his own good. She was very nice with it but she made sure he was doing what he needed to get moving around again.

Randi Kitchens Mixed emotions with Kindred. My dad was transferred to Encompass, which I am so thankful for so he was able to leave kindred. Personally felt that my dad could have been treated better under their care at times. I’ll never forget the time I walked in and he had been ringing his bell (nurse bed buttons were not working) and had been trying to get ice and water since 12pm. I had showed up about 4 pm and I myself had to walk to the nurse station and wait for a nurse to come see what I needed. He had absolutely nothing to drink. The many times his lien wasn’t changed, the times he had a bowl moment/ urine and was responsible for deposing of it himself in the trash can right next to his bed 85% of the time. Mind you he wasn’t not able to walk or get out of bed on his own. I’m thankful for a few things kindred did, the trach they did, and 3 ICU nurses who gave me some little bit of hope. & I think about those 3 everyday and can’t thank them enough for all they did and how well they communicated with me. The saddest part is I’ve never heard anything positive about kindred from the people i personally knew around me. Thought there is no way. Until i experienced it myself first hand. I know my father wasn’t the easier patient, but even the circumstances I understand why he felt and acted the way he did at times. I did report my issues to the chief clinical officer. I just hope in the future for future patients they will hear what I’ve said in this review and try to better moving forward. I know all healthcare workers have more than one patient to take care of & how challenging it can be. One last thing I want to point out- my dad constantly complained his bed was uncomfortable and was sitting on a board/ a hole in his bed. Nobody listened. The day he was transferred the sheets were removed and you could see the hole/ and feel how hard that spot was he was sitting on. I saw it with my own eyes. I personally thank kindred for most of the things they did- but I don’t think I would let my father go back if something were to happen in the future due to the few small but big to me that happened during his stay.

Sara Dunlap I got excellent care throughout my hospital stay. Everyone was kind and helpful and ensured that I had everything I needed and more. If any issues were identified by the monitor attached to me, someone was there to check on me and take care of it before I knew there was an issue. I felt like I got the best care possible and would highly recommend Texas Health Hospital Mansfield. I wish I had a list of all the nurses and techs so I could thank each one specifically. Nyeshea Skipwith was my day nurse for 3 days. She took excellent care of me. Im sure she had a full case load but she was there any time I needed her to take care of whatever I needed. She chased down doctors to get answers for me and helped me get information I needed, made sure I got medications when I needed them, and helped me with anything I needed. She checked on me often to make sure I was doing OK. I dont think anyone could have done a better job than she did.

Michelle Wafer This was my first visit, and I was very, very impressed. Everyone was nice and friendly with the exception of one person, but it didn’t make my experience any less than what it was. Doctor Harris was extremely nice and very informative. I will be a returning patient.

Angelia Clark I had an exceptional experience at Texas Health Hospital Mansfield. My OBGYN , Dr. DeShawndranique Gray and her surgical team were amazing. The Anesthesiologist was so good! I dont remember anything and felt no pain, even after the surgery! The staff was friendly and professional alleviating my apprehension and anxiety about my surgery. The hospital facilities were very clean. The team worked together cohesively to make sure that they started on schedule and everything proceeded as planned. I especially liked the status board in the lobby that kept my family updated on my progress. They were able to communicate updates to other family members and friends who were not present.

J. Nicolas Phillips The doctor and practitioner are both extremely competent and I know that they will always get me well. Storm Turner I don’t have anything good to say about the receptionists, both me and my sister had bad experiences with them. But the nurse practitioner Rebecca Wolverton is the best NP I have ever seen. She’s the only doctor/NP I’ve seen through the years (started seeing her in 2012 when she worked at another clinic) and I trust her wholeheartedly. Her kindness and patience through her work has literally changed my life and my overall health has never been better. She’s truly amazing and I recommend everyone in my personal life to go see her. 10 stars for her, she is the pinnacle of patient care. Edited my review to 3 stars cause the receptionists are just plain rude. No fault to the care specialists.

Tiff Coffer I fell in love with this place when they helped save me from my kidney failure, and it went away. I was there for a week and they always tried to make sure I was comfortable, or as comfortable as you can be when you’re inpatient. Even later at outpatient doctors offices, there was one who I always enjoyed seeing. Dr. Dhanabalsamy was kind, intelligent and always listened and she cared for her patients and her loved ones. She was amazing and helped save me, and I have been grateful ever since. She might have moved to a different Texas Health office across the street, she still is with Texas Health,. Amie Varner I was asked upon entering what my symptoms were and told them. I also mentioned that I was 36 weeks pregnant and if this was where I needed to be, or if due to the pregnancy, I needed to go to the hospital. The nurse told me they can see me there. So I got checked in. Once checked in, the doctor came in and said due to the pregnancy I really should have gone to the hospital. This is frustrating since I’ve now already been checked in and had asked this question PRIOR to being checked in and was given a different response by the nurse. Their staff needs to be on the same page with medical advice. The doctor also did not exude confidence when checking all my vitals, but continued to tell me she wouldn’t know anything for sure unless she took an X ray (referring to if I have pneumonia or not). I know from experiencing the same thing with my son, that doctors (like my son’s pediatrician) can tell by listening to your lungs. But yes, it’s not black & white without an X-ray. Even still.. I appreciated the confidence my son’s pediatrician exuded when she listened to my son’s lungs several months ago and said he had pneumonia. She mentioned the X-ray thing too, but just out of obligation to tell me that. She continued with confidence in her assessment of pneumonia. The doctor at medical city ER white settlement did not exude confidence at all and kept pushing X-ray. We need doctors that exude more confidence and don’t try to push expensive medical practices on us due to being afraid of liability. After all that, before being released, (I opted not to get the X-ray), they had me fill out a bunch of forms. A form that asks my name & insurance, I totally understand. But they had me filling out forms that were asking where I work, what religion I am, and on & on. Number one, why do they need that info? Number two, I feel like absolute crap and you’re making me stay longer to answer what seem like completely irrelevant questions. Will my treatment and billing be different depending on where I work or what my religion is?? It shouldn’t be. This place is sketchy at best, and if at all possible, I highly recommend traveling a bit further to a different medical facility.

LaTonya Thompson I went to this This hospital today through emergency. And I was very impressed with the great service that I received. Everybody was SO nice and SO kind and professional to me. They treated me with the utmost respect, and they quickly assisted me. I was in and out in less than one hour. As a matter of fact, it only took them about 30 minutes to treat me and send my prescription to my pharmacy. I was very hesitant about coming there because I called emergency on yesterday, and I spoke with someone who was not very professional. But then I got transferred to a nurse named David, and he was so nice, kind, and professional. David was able to assist me over the phone and give me great advice. So, on today I decided to go in and the people were SO kind. I thought maybe I would get the negative person that I spoke with yesterday, but if she was there, I didnt notice. Also, I believe this hospital had a lot of negative reviews. But that was not my experience. I cant say enough about how well my visit went today. I was leary because I switched insurances, a this was the only hospital in my network, and it turned out to be very well. The physician who treated me through emergency name was Doctor Kyle. He was very knowledgeable and he had a solution very quickly. I highly recommended this hospital. I felt VERY comfortable coming there, and it was so nice and clean, and everyone was lovely.

Dee Embry I received the very best care I have ever received right here at Medical City Fort worth. I had two major back surgeries within 3 days of each other. The doctors the nurses the or staff anesthesiologist patient care everybody was right on top of everything at all times. Once the surgery was over and youre in your room all you do is push your button and they all come to help you right away. You dont have to wait 15 minutes they are there within a couple of minutes to see what you need and how they can assist you. Even the Care Tech patients and the housekeeping was so nice and always making sure you were well taken care of. If you ever have to be hospitalized or you need a back and spinal neck surgery please use Medical City of Fort worth. You will not be disappointed I promise that!!

Jasmine Victoriaaa This past Friday, I visited Medical City for a severe migraine. I was checked in and taken to a room in less than 15 minutes. The nurses and doctors were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient. They even followed up with me afterward. I had a great experience and felt much better when I left compared to when I arrived.

Nancy McCain This trip was unique. I had excellent medical staff and treatment who were truly concerned about my overall health beyond the condition I was there about. I did get a surprise! My ride home went to sleep did not answer my calls. I was surprised when security informed me that I was required to leave hospital grounds. Make sure your ride is there with you because they do have a time limit on sitting in an empty waiting room. The hospital was kind enough to arrange a ride home for me when apprised of my situation.

Carrie Shamblin THIS IS MY SECOND TIME TO POST THIS REVIEW, THE FIRST TIME WAS MARCH 7,2025 AND IT DISAPPEARED. Dr. Melde is an excellent physician her nurses are amazing. This review is specifically for Chris Wilkins who was disrespectful of my privacy (violated HIPPA MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE TELLING ME SHE KNEW SHE WAS VIOLATING HIPPA)and my time. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and she made the choice to NOT allow me to be checked in because I refused to discuss my financial issues publicly in the waiting room. She threatened to not let me see my physician of choice because she is the office manager and I dared to ask for respect for my time and as a human being. She admitted they do not have a HIPPA protected area and continued to discuss private and personal information across the waiting room. I am currently waiting to hopefully see my physician for serious medical issues unsure if she will let let me be seen or if I will be forced to suffer my medical issues without the medication I need to survive. I have congestive heart failure, kidney failure and several other medical issues that are life threatening and Chris feels that yelling at me that she is the office manager and she wont let me see my doctor is appropriate. I was in tears the entire time I was there due to the out of control behavior and abuse of Chris Wilkins. I WILL CONTINUE TO REPOST THIS REVIEW EVERY SINGLE TIME IT IS DELETED.

Michael Serrano I took my daughter to emergency room at Medical City Alliance right after she was involved in an accident on I-35 NB. After signing her in at the emergency rooms front desk, within 5min she was being seen, then taken to another area and prepped for ct scan, right after that X-rays were done and blood was drawn. Waited a bit for results, results came back clear and we were done. Thanks for the quick service and making my daughter feel comfortable.

Bao Luu I was brought to this facility due to a heart attack. This medical team saved my life. I would like to express my appreciation to services I received during my stay. Everyone is so friendly and professional. Especially, the two nurses in ICU, Eva on day shift and other lady on night shift. They went way extra miles to provide me the best care I’ve ever had. Thank you, Medical City Alliance team.

S R ER was the worst experience. 5hrs without ever seeing a doctor or actually being offered anything for the pain and swelling in my knees, not even ice! When I finally saw a doctor, he was dismissive and seemed to laugh at the idea that my gluten issue could have anything to do with my bilaterally swollen knees I had to hobble in on. Then "Nurse I" was so rude. I asked for my discharge papers and she told me I was being rude and had been rude to the doctor, which I was not but explained I have to advocate for myself. Advocating for your own health is not being rude. I shouldnt be denied any care because a doctors only solution offered is something Ive already tried or would jeopardize my current health priority and directions from my doctor. If that in their opinion is rude, then they in my opinion are stupid.

L Karen “My Two Cents” Over the past four months, first my husband, and now I have needed urgent intervention for health care. In both of our cases we knew we would need diagnostic testing beyond what an urgent care clinic could provide. We chose Medical City Alliance and received exceptional care on both occasions. It’s always the staff that make or break an experience and we found the staff in every department to be good natured and attentive to details. The department is very busy, but functions incredibly efficiently and we were kept informed of our status all along the way. An ER visit is always going to be time-consuming and filled with anxiety. The staff here work well together managing the care and expectations of their patients.

Glenna Schumann DO NOT TAKE ANYONE YOU LOVE OR YOURSELF HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE!!! They neglect you, lie to you, give medications not needed and that interact with one another, starve you, and then refuse to transfer you so they dont get caught being so negligent. So many of their staff needs to be fired. Most of the staff wont listen to you. They will try to transfer you out if your insurance isnt good enough but the minute they mess up, then they absolutely WONT let you transfer to another facility. The doctors and surgeons will lie to you, do unnecessary procedures on you, the nurses dont know what medications to not give with one another or give you meds you dont need, respiratory dept will refuse to give a COPD patients breathing treatments but in turn for them oxygen toxicity and collapse your lung with aggressive bi-pap breathing machines. The list goes on but if I can post pics with this review, Ill prove some of the things Im saying on here. I will never go to this hospital and Ill try everything I can to stop others from going to this hospital. My mom was in very good shape for her age and went for stomach cramps and came out in a body bag 6 weeks later from a botched surgery that all came apart a couple days later with her guts literally falling out of her body. Just to put her back under and did the whole thing again and did the mesh they told me they were going to do the first time. I dont want a payout for their neglect and medical malpractice they put my mother through, but the staff needs to be fired or shut the whole facility down if thats the quality of staff they keep on the payroll. They should be ashamed of themselves for the lack of knowledge, care, and concern they exhibit.

Crystal Johns Dr. Hantes is, without a doubt, one of the best doctors I’ve ever met. As a patient, experienced RN, and an NP student who has trained under him, I’ve seen firsthand just how knowledgeable, skilled, and detail-oriented he is. As a patient, I always felt completely comfortable and confident in his care. He listened to my concerns and made sure I understand all my options. As a student, I had the rare opportunity to see his expertise from the other side of the drape. His teaching has given me a much deeper understanding of women’s health, not just from a clinical perspective, but from a human one. I’ve watched patients come in nervous or embarrassed, and he has a way of putting them at ease. He explains each possible treatment and giving them the power to make informed choices about their health. That kind of care and respect is rare, and it’s something I’ll carry with me in my own practice. His team is just as incredible. Misty, Leann, and Diana are kind, welcoming, and truly skilled at what they do. From the front desk to the back office, they make sure everything runs smoothly while making patients feel valued and comfortable. Because of my experience with him, I refer all my female friends, family, and clients to Dr. Hantes without hesitation. He’s the best. I’m beyond grateful for both the care and education I’ve received from him!

Bernie J My brother came here a few months ago, after a long stay at another hospital. The staff here were incredibly compassionate, and helped us acclimate the first few days, after which we were always able to call up to the nursing station or administration with concerns or compliments. I really do credit them with how well he is doing now!

Willie Thomas Overall my experience here at kindred hospital was the best. The rehab gave exceptional care. I thought I was paralyzed but the rehab department gave me encouragement to develop my strength and now Im walking. The staff to highlight is Felipe,Ugo, Jan, Alice. All the techs. Tram, Karen and Maggie. I would recommend family and friends to come here for care.

Sonya Jenkins DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This place is a time warp from 1970s. The facility is very dated and looks like it has not been updated since 1970s. The doors do not close properly and they allow the room alarms to go off. The staff are weird and you should not leave your family member here alone. My husbands health demised while in their care. Laurel, sent me another patients medical history and said sorry and asked me to delete it. This is a direct violation of HIPPA and I believe she sent my husbands information over to the other intended party. I am filing a complaint with HIPPA. My family spent the night every night at this facility with my husband and we were in constant turmoil with the staff from turning him every two hours to allowing him to remain in a soiled bed for extended time. Other patients would scream out for help due to staff not answering the call button for them. One night I had to threatened to call the police to get staff to address my husbands medical need. This facility is a joke and you should not come there. My husbands Stage 3 pressure wound progressed to a stage 4 due to patient neglect from the staff. My husband was scheduled to transfer to the 2nd best rehab in the country for his condition but due to patient neglect; he is not eligible for the next level of care. Maria, the director of nutrition, has no empathy for your family. If you challenge her, she will yell and hang up on you. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. Steve and Amanda, returned a call that was left for the COO of that location. She sent me a certified letter, but did not have the decency to call me back. Amanda is very smug and disrespectful. I requested mediation and was told HIRE AN ATTORNEY and then you can go to mediation. I did not know it was unlawful to represent yourself anymore. I will be filing my complaint with the Texas Joint Commission about the patient neglect of my husband while under the care of the staff at this location. Amanda, lets see how smug you are to the Commission......
