jeremyah Taylor Hi,I’m jeremyah I’ve recently just had the gastric sleeve surgery In june. I am currently 2 weeks post op and feel great. I started my journey back in June of 2023 I was with the program for about 3 months till my parents decided not to go back for some reason it wasn’t until march of 2024 that I decided to go back being 399.79 lbs. I then realized I needed to go back and get that surgery if I wanted a better life in the future. So month by month I started to drop weight rapidly 25lbs the first month 20lbs the second. Then by the day of surgery I was 339lbs I felt like I was starting to get my life back on track. I am currently 322lbs since march and I am extremely proud of myself and how far I’ve come.I couldn’t have done this without my amazing nurses Regina, my nutritionist Hope, and most importantly Dr.O’connor. She is the reason this is all happening and I can’t thank her enough with the drive she gave me and the determination she always has a demeanor of when you walk into a room she will have a smile no matter what and she makes you feel comfortable like you’ve never been before. So I recommend after my story that’s not over yet. I tell anyone that is thinking about having this surgery to do it. Don’t be afraid or scared you have the most amazing and caring team by your side.

Taylor Foulger Dr Boston literally saved our son’s life! He had a T&A with another doctor, 6 days post op, he hemorrhaged. I rushed him to the CHRISTUS children’s ER. Everyone was very prompt. They dispatched Dr Boston and his Resident. His Resident visited us in the ER, told us to get ready for surgery to stop the bleeding. We were admitted after surgery. Literally everyone that worked on my son was absolutely incredible and very compassionate about the situation! Thank you Dr Boston and Resident!

hector casso Dr. Boston was very attentive and reassuring to both my son and I. His staff was helpful in reassuring my son that everything was fine and that we were just talking and that Dr. Boston was only assessing his current condition and offered Jack some stickers and a lollipop. Cindy Grynkiewicz-Mizani Laso is an absolute must. Heard about it from my family in TX, I live in SF, CA! I fell ill with Covid and a nasty cough during the holidays. Literally felt like I was dying and felt a little lost with next steps as I don’t have insurance yet. I tried Laso and was pleased on how quickly I was placed with a doctor and a solution! When picking up my prescription I was quoted over $80. With the RX card, I paid $32!!!!! Like it truly helped and I definitely recommend Laso. My pharmacist has never heard of Laso but compared it to goodrx. When I compared the prices, Laso was cheaper.

Not one time did he rush me as I explained to him what happened & is happening to me. Thank you for having Adrain as a part of your team. As the saying goes, “first impression is always the last impression.” So, in that being said this tells me that everyone else here is awesome like Adrain.

maggie bass Guillermo Portillo has been amazing since the day I met him. He made me feel very comfortable under his care. After my gallbladder removal I was amazed at his work. Very clean and I had no pain whatsoever after surgery. He knows what he is doing and he will take care of you. I am grateful he was available to do my surgery as I ended up needing it emergency removed because I wanted to wait it out. He advised me Id probably end up in the hospital needing it removed and he was 100% right. Im currently 3 weeks post operation and feel back to normal. No more gallbladder pain and even my acid reflux issues seem to have vanished. Im also able to finally eat again. Thank you and Id trust him to do it again a million times over. ☺️

Cari Hollis I saw Dr. Blackmon. He was nice and knowledgeable, however; i made my appointment specifically with Dr. Al-Hakeem. So that was my first frustration. Dr. Blackmon prescribed a medication that my insurance refused to cover, so my insurance, my pharmacy and myself tried to get in contact with their office for two and a half weeks with no returned messages. Then, my husband drove all the way to their office to talk to talk to them in person to get my medication figured out. At the office they promised they would send my prescription to another pharmacy that could cover it cheaper. After a few days i called the pharmacy to check on the status, to find out that they never call the prescription in. I then called the office back again and left another message, and now 3.5 weeks later, i still have never had a single phone call returned, and still dont have the medication i need. I have completely given up on this practice and will be trying elsewhere. Do not waste your time with them.

Ursula Orozco Dr. Blackmon Jr. is professional, thorough, attentive, and sincere. I am a new patient and I am impressed. He covered all of my concerns in one visit. He did a thorough exam, went over all options and described procedures available for treatment. He read my chart prior to walking into the room so that I wouldn’t have to repeat everything I had already relayed to his MA. Also, his staff were great! Not rude or eager to go home (I believe I was the last patient). If you are in need of a new GYN doctor, see Dr. Blackman Jr.

Dr Barsness and her staff were so supportive and patient and walked all of us through the procedure and after care. My daughter felt confident and 5 months later she is thriving and a completely different young woman. Thank you Dr. Barsness for being amazing.

Glenda Words cannot fully express how grateful I am for this amazing person. She is truly the best. We came to her after years of uncertainty, not knowing what was wrong with my little brother. When we found out he had achalasia, we were overwhelmed and unsure of what to expect. This remarkable doctor reassured us every step of the way, explaining the procedure in detail and even drawing it out for us to help us understand exactly where the issue was and how she would address it. What truly touched us was her effort to communicate with my parents in Spanish, as they are not fluent in English. She took the time to provide a visual explanation, making sure we felt informed and at ease. I wish there were more doctors like her in the world. I was heartbroken to learn she wouldn’t be seeing my brother for his follow-up this year, and I deeply regret not taking the time to personally thank her for the incredible care she provided. She gave my little brother a second chance at life, and for that, we will forever be thankful. I hope this review reaches her, and one day I have the privilege of expressing in person how much her work has meant to our family. Keep up the amazing work—you are one of a kind, and the world needs more doctors like you!

Mike Lee I believe in angels. I believe there are those around us who help guide us, who teach us, coach us, believe in US,.. believe in you and the ability to heal, and recover! I believe that God places such angels in our lives when we need the love and care to help you and me when we have fallen, when we are broken, when we feel defeated, when we feel hopeless and when we are ill. Much like everyone else, Our story is complicated, but at Kindred we found the staff to take on our challenges. We found loving care, exceptional nurses, CNAs, PAs, support staff, Doctors, and specialists who all took part in the excellent care that my mother required. So it is not lightly that I express that at Kindred we found angels! I wish to name a few.. Chris (kenny rogers)! Sir, you are exceptional! Chris (RN & supervisor) exceptional care and managment! Andi, your knowledge and compassion are un matched! Sang, professional and proficient! Maria, caring and a warm heart! Lupe, professional and very knowledgeable! Zoey, (CNA) breath of fresh air and up lifting! Laura (reception area) welcoming and God loving! Prim, fastest nurse Ive ever met! Prim is a true gift from God! Dr Farrah, We presented quite the challenge but Dr Farrah did not flinch! In fact Dr. Farrah was the pivotal reason my mother began recovering! His expertise and medical knowledge proved to be the key in recovery and for that he and the entire staff at Kindred made our experience the best possible. Thank you to EVERYONE at Kindred! In times of need, may you all be as blessed and cared for as we have been. I believe in angels, and at Kindred we were fortunate enough to have met a few... With Love, respect and profound appreciation! The dude with the dog...

Will Thornton Absolutely the best experience you could hope for in a hospital . I especially love working with Hilda and Mark and Manual the aides who care for me with a joyful spirit. They truly care about me and it shows. I wish I could call out all the aides that I work with by name but I cant remember all of their names. Suffice it to say they have all been top flight. All of the nurses have been kind and caring and considerate and go the extra mile. This Im not prone to Pollyanna views on anything. But I like to give credit where its due. The last point I would make is a that the physical therapy offered by Matthew and the occupational therapy offered by Jessica is excellent. in the few days they worked with me Ive made more progress than I made in months in the last physical therapy I went through. Its only a couple weeks ago I couldnt even stand up. Now I can get out of bed by myself and Im able to take steps for about 17 ft. I have to rest in between but I can do it. This is the place to go.

Ferguson Summer Dr. DeBerry was patient, understanding and made sure to explore and explain many options for my breast cancer treatments. I would love to give her 5 stars, but before my bilateral mastectomy, she told my husband she would call him when her aspect of the surgery was complete and failed to do so. He was super stressed after the 9 hour mark and finally heard from the reconstructive surgeon. She removed all signs of malignant and atypical cells and I’m 100% cancer free now. She is a no-nonsense, ambitious, and prominent woman.

(16) Reviews Cajas George MD:

Michelle Hernandez Dr Cajas is one of the best doctors I have meet. I wished all my children where delivered by him. I had a high risk pregnancy which caused me to have a fluke of blood clots in my lungs. People normally don’t survive that. I was 7 months along and he made sure that I made it to 38 weeks. He kept my anxiety low and answered all my questions. My delivery was amazing. I had to be put to sleep and I didn’t want blood if I needed it. After my C-Section I was able to go home in two days. No staples pulling or anything. My -Section didn’t hurt as bad as my last ones. Stop all pain medications in the hospital. I’m truly lucky for my son and I to be alive!! Now I go every year for my Pap smear and he always asks about my big bundle of joy. 9 years later.

Marcos Vargas Dr Cajas is an amazing doctor. He took his time with my fiancé answered all our questions. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be awkward having a male doctor for my fiancé, however he is very professional and calmed all our worries. The receptionist was very pleasant she greeted us upon signing in. The billing department answered all our questions and even took us to a private room to speak about our benefits.

Carrie San Miguel Dr Cajas performed my Ectopic pregnancy surgery and also inserted my Mirena IUD. Dr Cajas always had patience and made me feel comfortable and answered any questions we had at every follow up we had with him. I highly recommended him to anyone. 20.Dr. Henry Chen, MD

Chels Dr. Chen and his clinic are subpar at best, and that’s putting it politely. The clinic is very disorganized. The staff does not give appointment reminders and is very unsure of their insurance policies and coverage; be prepared to wait in the office at least an hour for your appointment, even if it’s not busy. There’s no sense of urgency and patient care for threatening issues such as: I had a UTI which I tested positive for on my first visit, the OBGYN office NEVER EVEN CALLED me to tell me I had this serious infection, I was not informed by them until until I came in for my second visit which was a month and a half later.. at that point my UTI had already escalated and had was treated by a local hospital ER. Dr. Chen tries to be funny, his lack of professionalism and tact made my husband and I feel VERY uncomfortable. As far as atmosphere, the office was NOT CLEAN. i.e. there were insects in the light fixtures, dirty tile floors, foul food odors, etc. The large tower skyscraper building is practically abandoned, outside from this particular clinic; the empty doctors suites of unused equipment makes the vibe eerie and gloom. Finally, the office is located downtown.. therefore, you have to PAY TO PARK by the hour, which is inconvenient as the office does not give you a heads up on the payment for parking for their patients, no vouchers for reimbursements are offered. In summary, This was not OBGYN my husband, and I have decided to go with for our baby, especially for the delivery..Not impressed and not returning after two visits of giving this clinic a try. Back on the hunt for a suitable OBGYN, which should feel easy after this bleak experience at Pea In The Pod.

helaina Condon-Heck If I could give ZERO stars, I would. HORRENDOUS, I mean HORRENDOUS experience. I am a patient person and I can stand to wait for the important things, but this is not about the wait time. This is about DOCTOR HENRY CHEN. Please, please, please do not go here. This doctor had the WORST behavior of a medical "professional" that I have ever seen. As a future nurse, I was BAFFLED and left in tears. The entire time this doctor degraded postpartum nurses on the phone because they asked to confirm a dosage. He called them the "Stupidest people on the planet" and proceeded to curse. EVERY OTHER WORD WAS A CURSE WORD. and youre about to give me a pap smear while Im PREGNANT!!!! Youre dealing with women at their most vulnerable time in their life and youre being so disrespectful it triggered my nausea. LITERALLY. Before he could even do the procedure, I said I was leaving, got dressed and walked out. I feel bad for the nurses who have to work with this JERK!!!! MOCKERY OF A GOOD DOCTOR. WHO GAVE YOU A LICENSE TO WORK AMONG PEOPLE. Utterly, utterly disgusting behavior. The nurses apologize PROFUSELY for his behavior, knowing that it was the reason for my leaving. They shredded my documents in front of me and I left crying because I was SHOCKED that a doctor could behave this way among new mothers. Whoever is writing these good reviews needs to reevaluate their definition of good medical care because really and truly, this was the worst experience of my life in a "medical" setting. DO BETTER OR LEAVE YOUR PRACTICE. YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN THIS POSITION MR.CHEN. You are unruly

Priscilla Salazar Don’t agree with what I was being charged for my deductible was being told my policy did not change (it did in the new year I had a better policy was expecting deductible to be different was $1600) it made 0 sense. Only take cash or check. Wait times are 2 hrs MINIMUM. I had my two kiddos with Dr Chen I had Medicaid at the time was convenient as he was open Saturdays, no longer worked for me was no longer able to waste majority of day for a single appointment

Afkar Zaheer Unjust Accusations and Lack of Professionalism I am deeply disappointed and hurt by my recent experience at postpartum. After delivery, I was falsely accused of smacking my own baby—an accusation that is completely unfounded and untrue. Not only was this claim made without any evidence, but the staff also failed to conduct a proper investigation or listen to my side of the story. The lack of professionalism and empathy from the hospital staff was shocking. Instead of addressing the situation with care and diligence, they immediately jumped to conclusions, causing immense emotional distress. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially from a healthcare institution that is supposed to prioritize patient well-being and trust. I urge the hospital to review their protocols and ensure that such baseless accusations are not made in the future. No one should have to endure the humiliation and anxiety that comes with being falsely accused, especially in a place where they should feel safe and supported. Until significant changes are made, I cannot recommend this hospital to anyone. My trust in their ability to provide compassionate and fair care has been completely shattered. ---

Andraya Pass I had my first baby here, and as someone who struggles with a lot of anxiety, the staff made the experience so much easier and more comforting. I wish I could remember the name of the nurse who was there with me-she was absolutely fantastic. I didnt have much emotional support with me, but her kindness and presence, even just holding my hand when my boyfriend wasnt sure how to help, will forever be a memory I hold close to my heart. Thank you to all the amazing nurses and doctors who helped me have a safe and relaxing delivery. Im so grateful for everything you did for me and my baby

Bob Hewitt If I could give negative stars I would. My family member was admitted to the hospital after 13 hours in the ER. I left the ER at 3:00 am and was never notified that she was in a room or how she was doing. It took me 5 times to get through the proper nurse’s station to get any information. I later went to visit her and never saw the nurse. She was in the hospital for 4 nights and only received the basic treatment. She has dementia and was confused and combative toward the staff. They gave her heavy doses of medication to keep her calm. I went in the third day and she was so drugged, I thought I would lose her that day. They didn’t do any medical heart tests as they said she “told” them she didn’t any medical attention. My sister in law, has advanced dementia, poor vision and is almost deaf and wouldn’t be able to make a decision for herself. I got the daily run around of her condition. They didn’t administer her daily medications even though I gave them a complete drug list and brought in her medications. At the end they wanted to discharge her because they couldn’t help her medically. And after she was discharged, I noticed her wedding ring wasn’t on her finger which I’m sure someone took. She had that ring for almost 50 years. It was disgraceful how they treated her.

Gail Danforth My care was great on Friday, after my surgery. Thank you to Kate, the chatge nurse! Saturday was not so good. Also, the food on Saturday was terrible. Breakfast came around 10:30 and was cold. Lunch came around 2:30 and was a dry hamburger with 1 pkg of mayonnaise. This is Texas, we eat hamburgers with mustard. Time to be discharged and the nurse would not change a bloody dressing b/c of stitches (which Drs PA told me were inside). Bottom line: Friday everything was great. Saturday: it was not good.
