Danielle Hyer Ive had so many awful experiences with pediatricians that I was becoming skeptical. However weve been seeing Dr. Smith and hes fantastic with my 21 month old. I couldnt be happier with him and his staff! Every pediatric clinic was on a 3-6 month wait for new patients but I was able to get in almost immediately with them.

JoAnn Bruton I just left the hospital after having a graft put in for dialysis. Dr. Smith did the surgery in record time and the incisions are beautiful. I highly recommend him for any vascular needs.

John Simon First off, Dr. Smith is in a building that offers free valet parking. This is a big plus. Everyone at the practice was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I interacted with at least five different people over an hour and a half and all of them were courteous and seemed interested in doing whatever they could to ensure I was comfortable and understood what was happening. Dr. Smith was on time, very friendly and put me at ease immediately. He gave the impression of being confident and knowledgeable, and I felt very comfortable in his care.

Corretta Davis Dr. T. Smith was very kind and professional, I felt like he and his staff cared for me as a person not just a patient.I would refer Dr.Smith and his staff to friends and family.

Leah Zeiters I have had nothing but a grand experience. I have multi procedures here. Dr McCown has done both my shoulders. I needed tune up. I messaged in. Got response in excellent time. Got in in less than week. All Gods timing.

Maurice Blanton Dr McCown took the time to listen to me and answer all my questions and made me feel at ease about my knee replacement surgery. I loved that he took the time to pray with me. He is a great doctor, but even better person and yet humble.
5 /5
Carl Eckhardt I think the doctor is great and talented. His anesthesiologist is also kind and reassuring. The prep nurse had a happy disposition, and she really took the edge off of a scary situation. The post-op care through the MyApp app is disappointing at best. The daily questionnaire is inadequate to get the details, and the turnaround time slow enough to let you really suffer needlessly. I dont like that at all. No calls are returned, and the collected data is probably sent to a database of statistics. Social medicine has arrived. But other countries are better at it.
5 /5
Kimberly Gale If you ever get the chance to meet Dr McCown for any type of ortho problems you will feel blessed. He is very compasionate and his staff towards their patients. They explain everything in detail and will answer all your questions. They truly care about their patients.

Lynne Connatser My husband and I both have had knee replacement surgeries performed by Dr McCown. I’m seeing him now for my other knee which needs the same thing. I trust him. He listens well and answers any questions and concerns. He’s very kind and personable. He offers to pray with us before surgery which, to me, means he knows he’s not God.

I say, “Thank you” to everyone who works at UT HEALTH NORTH, for giving excellent Patient Care.” Yvonne Smith-Dorsey

Noelle Twombly My husband and I have been going to UT Tyler for many years and this is an excellent place to find a doctor. These doctors are finishing up their residency there at so you can establish care with any one of the newer residents for up to three years. All of the resident doctors we have had are very knowledgeable, compassionate, easy to relate to, and just know their stuff. Dont let the term "resident doctor" keep you from trying them out. They are stellar! Highly recommend!

G.U. Osuagwu I recently saw Dr Robert Tompkins in the Family Practice Clinic. As always, he was very thorough during his review and examination of my health status. He made me feel as an integral part of the process, and thereafter made appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans, including a follow-up in a couple of weeks. I came away satisfied with the care I received - both check-in, nursing, and physician care. They have my utmost respect.

jamie henderson I was in the er on December 26th 2024 for horrific right side abdominal pain. Nurses refused to listen to my husband and I on about how my veins blow. Even though through the years from er visits to surgeries they have always had to use a ultra sound machine to find my veins. Instead two different nurses tried to find my veins to put in an IV saying themselves they cant find a vein and still refused to find someone who could use the ultra sound machine. So I was sent home without a CT scan done still in horrific right abdominal pain. One of the nurses Rachel even snapped her glove in my husbands face as she was walking out the door. Very un professional and disrespectful. I would not recommend this er to anyone. If I could I would give them a negative zero on stars

Kellen Reilly McFarland I’m not sure why writing bad reviews on Google is the only effective way to medically advocate for myself here. You would think you’d be able to simply make an appointment and be seen if you’ve been going to this place for over 2 years. Yet somehow, 2 years is not enough time to establish stable, consistent care. Cancelling one appointment and pushing it back a little bit would be fine. However my appointment kept getting pushed back and I was never notified. Why my appointment would be pushed back when I requested an earlier one, I’ll probably never know. The people who took my information and “will get back to me soon” are just as incompetent and lazy as the person who hung up on me when I was calling to ask why my appointment was pushed back another month with no notification. No explanation, no response, no apology. It’s been two weeks since my information was taken. Absolutely ridiculous Edit: it’s been well over two weeks. I’ve tried emailing several times asking why no one has contacted me yet. Still no response. Edit #2: it’s been three weeks now and I just received an email stating “we don’t know what happened.” I’m not surprised in the slightest that UT Health was quick to cancel my appointments and treat me like garbage when I tried to call to ask what happened, yet when a complaint is brought to their attention it takes at least three weeks for a single email. There’s no reason for this. Do better UT Health. Edit #3: I was called by the office to cancel another appointment. Not to discuss why my appointments keep getting cancelled or why I was never notified. It’s been four weeks since I was told “someone will call me shortly” about the godawful way I continue to be treated by UT Health. I told the person on the phone to not cancel my appointment several times until someone discusses this issue with me but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was cancelled anyway.

Brenda Riddlespurger UT Health North takes wonderful care of my aunt. She goes to the Hope Center for cancer care. The doctor, nurses and even the receptionists are the nicest people to work with. They always give us time and answer all questions in language that non-medical people can clearly understand. We truly appreciate all of them.

Kristina Laws I was in emergency room earlier this week. Dr. Joshua Stringer was treating me that day. Even though we all knew I was there with bad news . I had really good experience . I had nurses who checked up on me and talked to me about their personal lives . While I was waiting on my results. Dr. Stringer ran all the necessary tests. Before he came into my room and told me the most devastating news ever. He sat down next to me and explained to me what happened to me and why it happened to me. And he also told me his own experience which made me feel less alone in this situation. I could tell on his face that he cared and he reassured me that it wasn’t my fault. He also told me what to expect to feel after this news and if I feel like I need help to come back to him and he will take a good care of me and send me in the right direction. He also told what I can and can’t do for next couple weeks. When my nurse came to give me my discharge paperwork she cried with me and hugged me and she also took me out of different exit so i didn’t have walk through waiting area while processing devastating news. At that moment anything they said or did couldn’t make me feel better .Looking back they did everything they could in the situation I was in. And they took a good care of me. I know it’s been couple days since I have been in ER but I am starting to feel better . I got up today and got ready for the day. I took care of my 4 year old son . I took my dog to dog park and I cleaned everything and I even went back to the gym. I know I have long ways to go and heal but I am taking day by day. Just keep reminding myself that it wasn’t my fault and I didn’t do anything wrong and that was something I didn’t have control over.

Kim Cary Pathetic excuse for a medical organization. The endocrinology department is all but incapable. The assistants will not help handicap patients, will not supply them with proper equipment, and then point fingers like we are the bad guys. Come on. Do your job or pick a different job.

Robert Buess As for the hospital, I found the experience to be good overall (I am not personally a fan of going to the hospital). The staff especially the nurses were fantastic, my only negative would be the Dr. he is not someone that I will be using again, but that isnt what youre asking me to review. Overall hospital experience for being in a small town was very good.

Sandy Sudderth Everyone was extremely professional and did their best to make me comfortable while attending to my needs. This is from my first encounter with emergency room personnel, the nurses on the floor, all tests administered, the Dr assigned and Carmen from the kitchen staff who made sure I was feed well after a couple of hiccups in the beginning. By the way, the food was also excellent. Although, I hope I never have to be admitted again I know this is a great group who take their responsibilities seriously.

Grump Texas CHRISTUS Health WOW just needed some help from these people, and this GASTROLOGY clinic of Mother Frances could NOT take a ONE page copy via email or fax, print it to hand to my elderly parent! They said NO CANT do it; even though she is one of their patients! They will take your MONEY real fast, but not do one little thing to assist someone! IF, my parents didnt insist on using these people I would NOT!

John Valentine Update: I just got off the phone with an amazing young woman named Hannah who actually is The Patient Advocate. She was extremely pleasant and you could hear the compassion she legitimately has for patients. Im updating my formerly 2 star rating to a solid 4, due to Hannahs highly professional attitude. I am leaving what I previously wrote, but will adjust certain parts because of the Patient Advocate. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this is a combination of good and bad. I recently went to Christus Mother Francis emergency room to seek pain relief for my back, and got basically nothing but resistance. When I sought out to speak to their Patient advocate, I was instead given the run around, and told that they "dont have a patient advocate" (but yet I talked to one today). At this point, I was now upset and kindly asked the receptionist if "I called about 30 or 40 veterans to come down and help me advocate for myself, would someone in charge come out then. At this point the arrival of 2 armed security personnel showed up. The Sergeant who was very easy going, and extremely professional sat down with me and told me that the nurse in charge wanted to talk to me, to help find me a suitable outcome of my back pain and the frustration I was feeling. Unfortunately, that never happened. I was told she was speaking to another patient and by this time I was in severe pain and told the front desk receptionist that I was going to the ER and to please have the head nurse see me over there. A total of three different security officers (all of them very kind), assured me that my health was of the most importance to the hospital and that if I had anymore problems please let them know. Finally after waiting a while (the ER was completely full, as was the rooms in the back), I was brought back to a triage spot with a really cool nurse, but instead of just one doctor coming to talk to me, he was accompanied by 3 other people. None of them told me who they were and why they were in the room. One was the doctor, the other was the nurse, but as far as the other 3 people I had no clue who they were. It was almost like they were trying to intimidate me with a show of force. The doctor at first came off as pretty cocky. As we started to discuss what was going on with my back and had told him that the previous ER doctor hadnt even asked if maybe some type of trauma happened to my back (I was wearing my Purple Heart shirt, and told him I was a medically retired Master Sergeant for service in the Army) so youd think the doctor would have caught that and ask if Id been injured or did something, that had exacerbated my current back pain). The new doctor stated it wasnt customarily practice to investigate previous injuries of a patient, which no offense but arent they supposed to gather additional facts besides just X-Rays and CAT Scans. How this place calls itself an ER Department is beyond me. Theyre extremely rude and show no sympathy when it comes to handling a patient with pain, the funny thing is that in their pamphlet, on the first passage it states that patients are to expect proper pain management, needless to say they failed. Finally the Doctor and I had talked alone and he recommended some things to do and certain professional doctors that I should follow up with. In the end that ER doctor was immensely helpful to me and Im happy that I had him instead of the previous ER doctor. I strongly urge all patients to investigate and due their due diligence of ensuring this emergency department is the right one for you. Now I will say I had to be admitted here back in October for my gallbladder to be taken out, and everyone of the nurses and Surgeons are 5 star all the way. The hospital is great, but the ER department doctors need a lot of work, especially in the treatment of patients.

Miriam Shaffer This hospital has changed so much and not for the good. Professionalism is dead here. I’m here with my elderly parent, the nurses are indifferent and apathetic and the doctor is horrific. I’m thoroughly disgusted with this excuse of a place that is supposed to care for people. I’d give 0 stars….just deplorable!! 11/25/25 Came back today, the hospital has a skeleton crew and the nurse on staff didn’t seem to know anything about my father’s care. He didn’t receive dinner and it was like pulling teeth to get information from this nurse. I had to ask her to do things for him that should have been intuitive. Does she even work here??? This place is a mess!!

Allyson The day of my procedure went smoothly and I had about six different nurses that day. They were all super kind and professional! Ken M These people that work here are liers and thieves. Julie Roat is bad about calling adult protective services on you and filing a claim. My mom was still admitted in the hospital and was unable tomake the follow up appointment that they scheduled without us knowing about it. Then they also reported to APS that my mom had missed 12 appointments? Dont use these people find another clinic. They are only about the money not the patient.

Aubree Sims This place sucks!!!! I was supposed to have my first appointment today. They send out a link with their address in it a day prior. So I pulled it up in maps on my iPhone. This address took me to the other side of town. So I call them and they say oh it’s an error on maps. A lot of patients tell us this. So why do you send that link or not give the proper directions in the text? I finally make it to the office a little after my scheduled time. They take my information and I sign basic paperwork and tell me to sit down. 5-10 minutes later they call me up and say I need to reschedule because I was late. Are you kidding me? You guys gave me the wrong address and you said it happens a lot. Why must I pay for your error. So I then ask when is your next available appointment. They say a whole month later. Screw this place. I won’t be returning.

Linn LeGrant Beware of this place. Went for an initial visit to Kyle Smith for primary care doctor. They checked my blood pressure and weighed me. Met with doctor and told him my med history. Set me up for bloodwork and referral to another doctor in their clinic. I then received a bill for $229 after insurance paid $145. When I asked my insurance why they did not pay for the whole bill, they said it had been coded on the claim as having provided me with treatment for my heart condition. When I complained to Christus that I had not been TREATED for anything, they said they would review the coding. After 60 days, I had to call them back and they said they would not recode the claim. I contacted the doctor who refused to help. They lied about treating me for heart disease and refused to correct their mistake. Now they say I am 90 days past due and are threatening to send my account to collection. These people are liers and thieves! Find anyplace else , these people are willing to do anything for some extra money.

Daniel Moiser David Hardy Was an absolutely great. Medical provider. I would still have him, if UT health wouldnt have purposely waited till he was on his own practice 90 days after he left U.T. The office employee called me to tell me after he had left u.T that he started his own practice and I asked. Why didnt you let me know so I could follow him to his practice. This will Surprise you in her response. She told him he u t was worried about all the patients going with him as he left. I have scoliosis and other serious medical illnesses. And now I was not able to get David Hardy because of the 90 days that I didnt know he had his own practice. There is no available spots. Also, they forgot to fill my medications. And I had withdrawals from some of my notifications. And it was horrible. They do not care about you.You are just a paycheck!!! I had david hardy 4 years!! He was a wonderful nurse practitioner. But u t health is an ongoing horrible medical facility. Please use Christus health system It is a completely night and difference. They actually care and youre not just a piece of paper at their system. I lost medicaid for sixty days because they would not fill out the paperwork stating my disability. So I had to make an appointment to go in to get them to fill out the paperwork because no one would take it off the fax machine to give us a david hardy the Doctor for 2 months. Office managers do not call you back. You never get any true help through the phone or through the app. Help this help someone. You can get David Hardy.Hes in white house and hes a really good nervous practitioner.

Chayton (Prsnl Gmail) Im editing this because of the reply. Ive had issues getting appointments and dealing with insurance denying and having to go back and forth between PCP and Walgreens for getting the same medicine. I know thats kinda how it is but what really helped is: -Theyre recovering from post pandemic wait times/getting in is faster now -physician is working with insurance to really help me get affordable medicine now -the new reception staff is more accommodating All in all, deserving of 5 stars if it continues like this for a year

Janet G Patient confidentiality is just ignored. Went in, one of the women up front yelled to another across the room while I was standing in front of her and announced to everyone about why I was there, my insurance status, and test results from before. The other yelled back what I needed to pay, and when it was time to due so, she looked annoyed about the fact she needed to run my card. That whole interaction was frustrating and embarrassing. The nurse who took care of me was great, it was just the front who were unprofessional.

The PT Journey Dr. Menard is by far the best doctor I have ever met with; She is always extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions and actually listens when I feel something is wrong. Other doctors can be a tad arrogant and refuse to hear you out when you know something is wrong until it is blatantly obvious to them. I have seen one other doctor here and wasnt a huge fan and honestly the rest of the staff seems good, nothing to complain about but nothing to brag about either, just the same as any other place I have been to. The fact I finally found a doctor I like and feel comfortable with and that I can just walk in and be seen so quickly and for free no less because Im a student is amazing. 10/10 recommend (but ask for Dr. Menard)

I walked in at this clinic to get looked at again and was looking for a primary care Dr. I was being checked out within 30minutes. Got the proper care needed with the correct medication the cold was knocked out within a couple of days. Very polite and friendly ppl And had me set up with a follow up within 2 weeks.

Roman John Worst urgent care I have ever encountered. Nurses treat patients horribly. Girlfriend went after a car accident and was left at and told nothing was wrong. She told them her feet were numb since the wreck and they said your fine just go home. She received later test proving she had spinal damage and other issues. Gave her so much fentanyl she could not walk and then laughed at her for “not handling her shit”. Nursers wear AirPods at all times when talking to you.. I have heard similar from others. Do not go.

Abijah Russell I have been seeing a doctor over there for about 2yr now. So I recently had a issue at my job, I go to my Dr appointment and began to talk about what has happened so the Dr. said bring back paperwork and I did. Now, this Dr. I believe is just being his ugly old schizophrenia self. I had paperwork from the job that needed to be signed but the Dr. said he would not sign my paperwork. I had bills that need to be payed, and had no food waiting on this Mayonnaise monkey. So now thank God, I was seeing also another Dr and he sign them with no problem. Alexis Wallace My daughter just left this kill factory. She is severely dehydrated with kidney pain. They didnt give her fluids, nor antibiotics. They didnt give her any paperwork from the visit. They sent her out the door and then they closed for the day. The doctor (if its even a real doctor) is heartless and cruel. They informed my daughter that if she goes somewhere else, she will be charged a 500 dollar copay.

Stephen Worst service Ive ever received. My daughter was transferred from another Christus Clinic to this location to get a scan to confirm her appendix was inflamed. The Dr we saw never took her vitals, he just made her jump up and down and then said that he would not perform the scan and to come back if her pain got worse. We then received a bill for $1300 for "ER" services. Never coming back here again.

Jon Smithers Idk why this place has bad reviews. Been there twice for the same half-witted thing, both times everyone was super nice, professional, and caring. Both the nurse practitioner and the (I assume? Nurse) this time were great, good rapport, very friendly. Front desk staff was great, care was excellent. I was in and out in well under an hour. A+, no notes.

Courtney Hampton The bad reviews are quite accurate. We briefly met with Courtney once we arrived in which she was patient, accommodating and quite compassionate while dealing with my dad on a recent visit, but shortly afterwards we were appointed to Ashley McMichael for the majority of our visit and got quite the opposite, very little compassion, no patience, was really irritated when questions were asked regarding medication, unwelcoming demeanor, very little professionalism from Ms McMichael. Unfortunately we wont be returning to a establishment where youre viewed as a burden and not a patient and endure substandard treatment.

IN & OUT POWERSPORTS Ive been here 3 times in last two weeks with chest pain and trouble breathing... Dr Weber was fantastic first 2 visits. But I need to shed some light on Nurse David... this man gave me the relief i needed from the fight of anxiety that had taken control of me. This amazing man got down on his knees, took my hand, and prayed for me. I will tell you now, that interaction did something, because Im laying in bed for the first time in 3 weeks with relief and might actually get some sleep tonight. Amazing staff at this location. Thank you all, Sincerely, Matthew Rowan.

Amena Larson I don’t know why this location is getting bad reviews. We’ve been probably 10 times in total and have never had a bad experience. I get people complaining about the cost, but it’s an emergency room, that’s the same everywhere.

Katelyn Sepmoree I am incredibly grateful to have Dr. Everson as my doctor. She is truly the best—she takes the time to listen to all my concerns and makes sure I feel heard and understood. Her compassionate care and attentiveness have made a world of difference in my healthcare experience. I always feel comfortable during appointments, knowing I am in such capable and caring hands. I’m truly blessed to have her looking after my health.

Michaela Bielitz I was referred to this clinic by another doctor. I called to give them my information and asked for pricing for the specific service and visit needed. They said someone would have to call me back and when I had not heard from them after a couple of days I called again. They could not give me pricing for everything over the phone. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told I’d have to come in to the clinic for further explanation and that no one would call me back because I was not yet a patient. Absolutely shocked by this practice and situation. Horrible customer service.

Tori Pennell Went here for my first pregnancy and never had any issues even with a high risk pregnancy. Have been going here again for my second pregnancy and the doctor seeing me didn’t speak to me for more then 2 minutes, used a dirty Doppler on me, and did not check any concerns from my last visit while knowing I am a high risk again.

yaz From my personal experience thus far, things have been great. Dr. Everson was very thorough at my initial obgyn visit, very courteous and made sure to answer any questions I had concerning my health and babies health. Social worker Machelle was also very nice, and gave me recommendations regarding postpartum planning, and birthing classes. As well as recommendations for pediatricians at their other facilities once baby is born. Wait time wasn’t very long at all. Overall I would recommend this facility to friends and family in need of obgyn care.

Addison Palmer I brought in my sister for severe body pain, tremors, elevated heart rate, and chest pain/shortness of breath. She could barely walk without tears. They roomed us and sent in a doctor to tell us it was possibly strep due to her throat being sore. She got a strep test done today and it was negative. When brought to their attention that I felt like she wasn’t properly assessed for the symptoms that brought her in, they started belittling my concerns to the doctor and talking bad about my coming to talk with them. They only had one patient in the entire urgent care and that was my sister. Don’t go here if you are looking for “urgent” care.

charla Nations I love UT for my kids but Ill never go to this ER again. I had an abscessed tooth and couldnt get into my dentist. They treated me like i was a drug addict. I went in for help and got none. I went to christus ER and they helped me. I dont understand why UT couldnt help or why I was treated that way

Julia Lamberth Finished my appointment with Dr. Johnston and went outside to find my passenger side window shattered! Megan and Alyssa were so helpful in viewing security tapes to see what might have happened. Megan helped me clean up the glass and cover the window until we could make arrangements to have it fixed. Thank you ladies so much!!

Jennifer Blakeman This place was reprehensible with the way they treated my daughter. She went in having severe pain during a miscarriage. She was an emotional wreck (understandably) and the doctor was so condescending and rude. He had the nerve to say that there are interesting miscarriages and uninteresting miscarriages. Hers was uninteresting and she should have had it at home. Now this was an expected event since we found out the week before that baby had no heartbeat but the pain was more than she could handle, that is why she was there. The attitude from this doctor was uncalled for. Even if he isnt officially employed by UTHET (a locums) he should be terminated and reported to whatever agency that doctors use to get these jobs.

Jessica S. Vanderburg I brought my 10 year old daughter to the emergency room because she was having an allergic reaction. The team was so kind and caring. Beginning with the admitting clerk , to Renae, RN who brought us to triage and immediately notified the physician Dr. Anyanwu. We went straight to a room where Ashton, RN started an IV while talking and calming my daughter. The medications they administered worked pretty quickly and everyone was so compassionate, attentive, and understanding while they explained things to my daughter. 10/10 recommend this emergency department if you need care!

Tyler Transmission My wife had her first appointment this week they called her the next day told her that her blood work came back with something wrong that she had to come in and see the doctor the next morning, to get here early to do blood work, even confirmed appointment time to see the doctor, came in and got bloodwork after working all night that something was wrong after waiting for appointment with nurse practitioner was told no they just needed more blood work that she didnt need to see doctor, had my wife scared that something is wrong (she has had serious medical issues she has dealt with this year) Now we wait for another week wondering was the first nurse right that something is wrong or the second nurse is right that the blood work was the only thing, and its a week before they can get her in, very bad customer service, and we have heard several stories from different people

Moon In my opinion nurse practitioner donna jackson at the 2990 N. Broadway location is really bad at her job. Going to the doctors is already extremely stressful for me. What makes it even more painfully stressful are the difficult medical professionals, such as Jackson, that make their patients feel unheard, uncomfortable, and disrespected. I would not recommend going to see her if you are looking for a medical professional who cares, listens, and is organized. Fogle at the 214 E Houston location is a much better alternative and I highly recommend her!

randall possum Perla Lopez is the kindest and most caring doctor there has ever been. She has helped me with so many things. I have found there office staff to be kind. YOu can tell it is a very busy office and to see Perla I dont mind waiting. I think she is the only medical professional in tyler left that actually cares and will listen and take you seriously.
