aubrey griego Got my lashes done here in October, I’ve been meaning to leave a review but haven’t gotten around to it. She did a very good job and really does do great work, but I wanted a hybrid set, which is what I booked my appointment for, she gave me a volume set and didn’t ask me or tell me until she had already finished. There is a price difference there and I would have liked it if she had asked me if it I was ok with it first. Took her about 3 hours so I payed it anyway. A shame because I would have been a returning client had she communicated better.

Danielle Howard I am pretty particular about my lashes and Karen is the best listener, and provides the best lashes I have ever had! They also stay on and looking great between visits. The service and her demeanor are first rate. I highly recommend!!

Kimberly Brown Karen does amazing work! For years I went to Beverly Hills to get my lashes done and Karen is on that level but I think better. Her prices are great! I travel over an hour for her and it’s so worth it. I feel like a winner going to Karen. And she’s the sweetest, I love her and her work!

Valeria Ramos This was my first time here and I was a bit skeptical because the outside looks a little old. Well to my surprise on the inside it’s a very cute and clean place!! I love the feel and decoration they gave the place. There was no long wait time, they helped me right away. I’ve been to almost every nail shop in Kyle and this is my favorite one so far. I don’t know the lady’s name but she did an amazing job on my pedicure. She was fast, careful, and paid attention to detail. My feet look and feel absolutely beautiful! I don’t usually leave reviews but they deserve this one.

Jasmine Miller The price was good, but the quality was bad. She cut 2 of my cuticles. And then she did an uneven polish job on my thumb. When asked to fix it, she first pretended that she couldnt see it and then used a file to even it out. Which didnt work and now my top coat on my thumb is rough on that side. She was also rough with my thumb, (one of the ones she cut) when I politely asked her to fix it, so to spare my thumb more trauma I left with my thumb not fixed and undone. I also had nail art done. She tried, which I appreciate, but I wouldnt suggest going here if you want more than a simple coat. I also received a pedi. No complaints. My boyfriend also got a mani. His technician was different than mine. I wish I gotten their names, but his nails look good.

Laura Vassar I walked in for the first time and received a great pedicure and gel manicure. They were so nice, too!

Valerie Cajayon I went in for my first manicure/acrylic nails with a french tip. It was a great experience. The staff is friendly and while I was there, it was apparent that several of the others there were "regulars" and enjoyed coming. Binh worked on my nails and he was fantastic. Super kind, and friendly and my nails look amazing. They are fairly priced and overall just a pleasant experience. I will be back.

Friendly service. Theyre not overly all up in your business. Just a nice, quiet and relaxing experience. Quality gel Manicure & Pedicure for $60. You really cant beat that. Theyve earned my repeat business.

Brenda haas I was looking for a new nail place because the one I currently use is so far away from me. I was with the same group of ladies for seven years and I love them dearly and they always did a good job. So I was skeptical about trying a new one, but I had to. Once I was getting worked on for about 15 minutes and it turned out they were five of us that were there for the first time and it was a great conversation piece. The bar is so glorious to look at is so beautiful. It’s super clean as you can smell a hint of bleach. Every single person there who works there were super nice. I was gonna be skeptical about what kind of job that they were going And they did a great job. I never expected that on the first time. It was like they knew me and they knew exactly what I wanted. It’s a flawless job they did and I’m definitely gonna be going back there. They’re actually a little bit cheaper than other Nail places as well. Definitely recommend this is a five star visit and a five star establishment. Tina C None of the nail places in Kyle have ever been "great" until now! My boyfriend and I came in for pedicures, and I am so glad we did. This was the best pedicure Ive ever had! The chairs are new, comfy, with great massage settings. The order of how they do the pedicure is made so that you are relaxed the entire time. Danny did an excellent massage on my legs and feet. Most places barely massage feet anymore and he did anyone awesome job. We will come back for sure!!

Thea Adora Palima Close to my neighborhood and such a welcomed addition to the area! Its hard to find a nail salon in Kyle that is consistent in providing the same kind of service. I have high hopes that this place continues to be great! Very stylish, new, and clean interior! They are very nice and welcoming at the front and the nail technicians are very expeditious and efficient when I requested to be done within an hour. I highly recommend this place! It may be my new spot for my nails!

Amber Hatch First time at this salon, was very nice. Front desk lady was a little cold but overall had a good time. The lines on the rainbows could have been cleaner, but Im overall very happy with our nails :)

Kindra Harrison Great experience. The people are always willing to help you reach maximum comfort. I always go for the pedicures. This time, I got some art on my big toe. I also came with my sister and mother. We asked for mushrooms. They talked amongst themselves to find the best artist. When she came and sat down, she wasnt sure, but executed beautifully. It was exactly what I wanted. My dad just passed away, and it was his favorite thing. So, for the fact they took time to get it right for all 3 of us, it really helped with our healing and self care. Melissa Green Best pedicure I’ve ever had. Big shout out to Tammy for putting in so much effort and time on my legs and feet. Upgrade your pedicure! The massage alone is worth it. I got the Platinum pedicure and it came with the works! She did not rush through it at all. Worth every penny. I also got a full set of acrylic for my engagement photos and they helped me with the design and everything. Absolutely the best all around. Earned a new loyal customer!

Anahi Villanueva Loved the atmosphere and tech’s attitudes. Austin did my pedi- she did leave dead skin under my feet after asking her to scrap it she said my feet were soft. Travis did my full- set. Great attitude but sadly my nails looked rushed. Lots of residue left. I asked for glitter and was told they ran out on my ring finger. Got these done 4 days ago.

Amara Davis I don’t think I’ll ever return. I came in because my regular nail technician didn’t have any availability before I needed to go out of town, and I remembered having the best pedicure of my life at Venice, so I decided to give it a try again. I arrived with a similar set of nails, just with about half an inch of new growth. I was charged $70, which I believe is outrageous. In the three or four times I’ve visited, I’ve noticed that the pricing is always inconsistent. When I sat down in the chair, I was quoted a price of $55. Being charged $50 for a fill, in my opinion is excessive. Since I already had short nails, I can understand the price if my nails were long and required restructuring for the appropriate length, but $50 is still unreasonable. Additionally, I wanted my nails cut down, and I was charged $5 for that. This seems like an unnecessary extra charge, especially since it took less than a minute to do with a drill for both hands. I also think $15 for a thin French manicure is a bit excessive. While the person who did my nails was very nice and did a great job, I originally requested someone specific who wasn’t available. I could sense that he was joking about me with someone else once I sat down in his chair. If I wasn’t offered some kind of compensation, I wouldn’t have any interest in returning.

Dixie Chavez The pedicure was nice and i decided to get a manicure because why not I was already there and things were going well. I got a basic manicure with gel and literally not even 24 hrs later four of my gel polished finger nails quite frankly came off throughout the day and I didn’t even notice. The service was good but the quality could have been better considering I spent over $100.

Katie Eiland Lily did a fantastic job on my nails! She did exactly what I asked for and made sure I was happy with my service! Definitely recommend. They sat me right away and was very attentive. I am very pleased with my experience at Venice Nail Spa.

Kori-ann Kobayashi Just got finished with a manicure set done by Bryan and I am so amazed with the results! I had come in previously and had an issue with the paint chipping on a gel manicure so I called and let them know what had happened and they asked me to come back to fix the issue. I thought it would be just a quick fix, unfortunately a few days later a couple other nails had the same issue so they scheduled me in quickly and went above and beyond to make my new nail dreams come true. I’ve gotten services here before which is why I so willingly came back. Lynn, Paige, Danny, and Bryan have been so incredible to work with! My sister introduced me to this establishment and I will continue coming here to get my nails done. Also, the front desk is always more than kind even when they’re busy. If you don’t have a nail place yet I highly suggest paying a visit, and even if you do it’s definitely worth checking out. And also for the clean freaks like myself, everything has always been really clean and sanitized. I love the integrity of this place and how much artistry and care is put into the services!!! The first 2 photos are my new nails, the others are more nail designs they’ve done in the past, including a kids set!!

April Gates Bryan took his time and made sure I was happy with the finished product. I have very thin nails so I get builder gel. He made sure to not drill much so as not to burn my nail beds. A+ service here. Glad I discovered them earlier this year.

Mariana Flores Im giving this establishment 3 stars because they were nice and accommodating to their guests. My complaint is my service. I just got my nails done 3 days ago and I already a nail on the verge of breaking (mind you this is a tip and its bending after curing it with hard gel…). I was also cut and I usually wouldn’t complain about a small little nic but my left thumb unfortunately suffered a pretty deep cut. I will personally not be coming here anymore, kinda disappointed with my service.

M. K. F. I enjoy going here. Always friendly and fast. The nail tech is very proficient in her skills. She is not like other salons that make you feel uncomfortable, like they are talking about you when they speak their native language amongst each other. She is very personable & focused only on you. The prices are very reasonable and the work done is the best! I wont go anywhere else now

Melissa “Missy” I normally go out of town to get my nails done, However I gave this place a try one day and now its my new nail salon! I pay less here then I did at my old salon. Yet I get more done and love the work. Its nice and clean. The only problem here is that they get super busy. So I highly recommend making an appointment. If your in San Marcos and want your nails done give them a try!

Cindy Kerner I was the only customer so she had time to do a good job but not what i got for 25.00 my pedi was rushed. she was rough. She asked me flie or clippers..i said file,she clipped my toe with clippers. Didnt get a professional job, my french pedi looked like a 2yr old did it..very dissatisfied and im so dumb to give her another try..this is my 4th and last visit to this lady. No more.

Symone Holmes Terrible !!!!!!! Do NOT GO HERE. REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE. She is unsanitary and very very rude. The lady who did my pedicure was very rude and rough plus my feet looked like my 5 year old sister painted my toe nails. I will never return . Dont waste your time or money going to this terrible establismnet.

Her attention to detail, especially with cuticle care, is top-notch, and my nails always look flawless. Jessica J. Watts I’ve been a loyal customer of Bobcat Nail & Spa for many years, and they never disappoint! Linh always takes great care of my pedicures and manicures. I get gel nails, and they consistently last three weeks or more. She can add fun designs for holidays (spiders for Halloween, snowflakes at Christmas). The salon is always very clean, and their attention to detail is unmatched. It’s no surprise they’ve won Best of Hays multiple times! I highly recommend calling or texting for an appointment since they stay busy. Support small. locally owned businesses and give them a try—you won’t be disappointed!

Mary Rupert DO NOT RECOMMEND! Guy drilled on my nails until they were like horseshoes. He ruined my nice long natural nails and argued w me when I showed him what he had done. He burned my nail beds many times. He obviously did not know what he was doing.

Connie Gandrud Peter is a fabulous nail tech. My dipped nails have never looked so good or received so many compliments. Mi gives a fabulous pedicure and massage . She is so kind and friendly.

Catherine Lazzaro I was faithfully coming here with a girl friend for over a year. We were always treated well, but I would go more consistently on my own. I stopped going when I saw the service decline, and the lady cut my foot once during a pedicure. I also contracted toe nail fungus from this place. I only trusted one of the sisters to do my eyebrows. Everyone else would do them unevenly. I wish I could write a more positive review but find somewhere else more sanitary.

I get my nails done in New Braunfels but I had somewhere to go in a hurry and needed to fix ONE nail, I asked if they could use any color similar (paint, dip, acrylic) anything just to make my nails look better for ONE night. Man at the front kept telling me they don’t do that color? I asked if I could just find a polish that kinda matched and he wouldn’t even let me past the front to look? My cousin came here once and told me how rude these people are and she just proved my point. I told them I would pay, whatever I needed to do and he still refused. No wonder this place has no stars

Nicole Leal Went to get my acrylics "soaked" off. And this is what I was left with. You can clearly see the WHITE POWDER LEFT ON MY NAILS He attempted to take off my acrylics with his own fingers which hurt. He kept trying to scrape it off ive never had my acrylics taken off and left like this !! To top it off I was looking around and there was old nails laying around AND THE DRILL PIECE HE WAS USING HE PUT IT IN MY BOWL WHERE MY NAILS WERE SOAKING. GROSS. IM SURE HE USED THAT ON SOMEONE ELSE AFTER ME. I was also charged $20 for a soak off.

Julissa Cardenas Please go somewhere else. They (the 3 main people) have been in the nail “spa” business for so long and still do terrible work. After almost 9 years of not going to them on 1/10 i went there to get a simple set done. I got a pedicure and it was okay, i had a nice conversation with the man doing my pedicure. He asked me about my new years I asked about his. A pleasant convo. I sit down to get my dip set and I’m seen a few red flags. The dip was just acrylic and it was moist to the point to were it was just oozing everywhere. He then proceeded to file them down and some parts of the nail were so wet the whole acrylic goo was coming off. My nails were all different shapes and when I mentioned them to him he said it was his bad eyesight. He filed my left hand then the right I’m starting to get nervous bc he’s nicked a few of my nail beds. Then I felt it a sharp pain I tried to pull my hand away and THIS MAN WILL NOT LET ME GO HE PULLS ME TOWARDS HIM TO GET ME TO SIT DOWN WHILE SAYING “I only cut you once” He was holding my pinky to stop the bleeding. It didn’t bleed but the cut was deep. I can’t even get my nails done now bc it needs to heal. Did I mentioned I was the only one there. I was so shocked I sat back down and he smiled and asked if I still wanted the design. I came to my senses and told him no that was leaving. Still payed them $100 for the pedicure and I guess a tip. (They wanted to charge 180 for labor) for them being there for over 10 years you would thing casual customer abuse wouldn’t be an issue. update: I got time today Its been almost year since I went to this establishment, the owner just got back this review and Im not going to be silenced. The nail set was done by one of the men that works there. Of course you know what salon it is its the only nails shop located in 1050 McKinley Pl Dr. My fiancé had to go talk to the staff afterwards because I was so shaken up. I went through something so ugly just for you to sit there and type have a nice day. This is not a fake review. I lived it. To the public go anywhere else but the Jb nails & spa in 1050 McKinley Dr next to PetSmart.

Karina V. Jazmine and Jerica are the best nail techs in San Marcos hands down. Ive been getting my nails done at studio bonita for about 5 years now and they never disappoint. They are meticulous on cleaning the cuticles and prepping the nail bed for application and my nails always last more than a month. Make sure you book an appointment ahead of time!

Eddie Garcia I’m in the NYC area and whenever I’m in TX I make it a point to stop by to have Beth cut my hair. She is the friendliest and funniest person that I know, so by the end of the service it feels like time flew by and you are catching up with a friend. It’s those special moments that make the trip to this location worth it. The cut is always on point and she gives her honest and professional opinion on the cut you want and will not just say yes to you. I know that I can trust her. Take a trip if you are in SA or Austin and if you are a local in San Marcos you found your new spot to go.

Sophia it was a great service but my DIP manicure lasted less than ONE WEEK ! its a very thin coating too and they added a gel top coat which changed the color. was excited but so disappointed now :((

Amaya Used to go here a lot and didn’t realize how over priced everything was until I went to a new place and spent half of what I usually spend here. They said they have a rewards program but I’ve spent hundreds of dollars here and have never received any rewards. My mom came to get her nails done here and spent $120 for mani and pedi to come out with her nails looking worse then when we came to get them done. As soon as leaving we did return to get them fixed but the staff was not pleasant nor apologized. I won’t be going here anymore.

Laila Jackson First off, I got a pedicure here and it was great. Don’t let the first sentence get you, my nails? HORRENDOUS. I was very clear on what I wanted, a French tip with an almond shape. He decided to go with dip powder (bad choice when needing fine lines.) and I stated almond 3 times and he still decided to go with square. I got 5 dollars off for shape yet the nails looked horrible. After two days my nails look disgusting and I cannot wait to get them done somewhere else. It’s embarrassing to even show others my nails I should be happy with what I recieved and I was very much unhappy with the service. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

Jasmine Ybarra I had gotten a pedicure A week prior to getting my nails done for my daughter 11 sister 11 and me and my son 8 , the owner still charged us full price so 70 each and gave me 10$ off for my son. We got gel nail polish which started coming off 9 days after. The total was 322 and I left a 30 dollar tip Fast forward I went back and requested sharp short stiletto nails. The older man did them awful. Only put 2 layers of powder and when asked for them to be sharper he didnt know how and started to get snappy and just filed my actual nail and made me bleed they arent even at all and look more almond. I had a date in 2 hrs so I didnt bother complaining but 3 days later my gel is soft and coming off. Awful.

Maddison Dittrich First I got cut when they were taking off my old tips. Then proceeded to put my cut finger in acetone and then used nail glue to glue my cut together. All I asked for was a dip French manicure, Kevin then proceeded to just put white tips on my nails and put who knows what on top of them. Didn’t ask what shape I wanted and his station had ants crawling all over it. I will not be going back. But the lady who did my friends nails turned out great so if you do go get anyone but Kevin.

Alicia Felix They greeted me nicely, asked me which services I was getting, sat me down and took 15-20 minutes to sit me at a station. They were busy so I expected a wait time. Hailey did a great job. She was very friendly and respectful. The service was quick, she was gentle with my cuticles, made my nails even and the atmosphere was calm. I got a refill a of acrylic with a solid gel polish and I’m very pleased with the service.

Bonnie Morgan Traveling through Texas, needed Gel Nails. I called Lauren ( asked a billion questions) but she knew exactly what I wanted. Blitz Valentine Nails turned out fine, on top. Underneath was a mess and had to fix them myself. The man was nice, but I did see a woman be turned away from a walk-in by saying "appointment only," but I was a walk-in as well. This was a second choice to proximity, and Im usually not picky with my nails and nail salons, but yikes
