cynthia hawkins Did a great job with my nails using them for the first time! They turned out great and just the color I wanted inspired by my late grandma’s upcoming bday! Tommy made sure the color looked good on my skin tone and what I wanted! The shop looks beautiful with all the new chairs and equipment (and comfortable) definitely will miss Raymond and Anna but grateful to still have a great place to use each month! Try them out! Open 7 days now!

B Frazier Started using this place for pedicures when I moved here last year and I now have a toenail fungus I am having to treat with an RX. Yellow discoloration and white spots on the nail are indicators of this fungus -- apparently they are not cleaning their equipment as required. I have been getting pedicures my entire life and have never had this happen until I used this salon.

Jennifer I think they do a great job but unfortunately they now charge a processing fee for card payments. Im glad I noticed it when I went to check out and I had cash. There is no sign that I noticed about the fee or verbal communication about the fee.

Brandi Hurst The chairs are all situated in a circle, so it was a little inconvenient for chatting with my friend AND enjoying the massage, but we still had a great time and were quite happy with our pedicures. They were recommended and we will definitely be returning in the future!

Precision Paint and Body Took my 7y.o. Daughter here to have her nails done, for the first time ever. She had a very specific look she was wanting painted on her new nails and she even brought a picture of what she wanted. The lady that worked on my daughter’s nails did a great job and was very helpful and nice. Definitely hit the “nail” on the head!!

Keshia Wallace After a long week of work I was excited to get my nails done. I went to Modern Nails & Spa where I had a bad experience about three years ago and decided to not go back. I decided to give them another try when I saw my co-workers nails. She recommended Vicky. My first experience with her was ok. She was not friendly or talkative and that’s fine. I just wanted beautiful nails which I got after sitting in her chair for two hours. The design on four nails was not that difficult. The second time I brought my child with me and Vicky was rude to my child telling her to be still. All my child did was stand up and hit her table a little. I asked Vicky “Are you having a good day?” She said “Yes.” I left it at that. In between the first and second visit my co-worker advised me Vicky asked her “You friends with black girls?” Why does that matter? Asian hate is real too. Fast forward to yesterday. I went into Modern Nails and asked Vicky how many people she had and she said two. About 20-30 minutes later the man sitting to the right completely skipped over me and asked the lady who came in after me was she ready. She said “She was first.” He then said to me “Vicky said she doesn’t have time to do your nails today.” He then went right back to the woman who came in after me who was Caucasian and asked was she ready. She said again “But she was first.” Thank you to that lady for having morals and common courtesy. At that point I felt completely mistreated and discriminated against. Eventually after some debate I sat in someone’s chair. He advised me Vicky said that I never know what I want. So clearly they were talking about me in their language. Also the only thing I was not sure of the two times Vicky did my nails was the design. I knew I wanted matte. While she did the matte acrylic I would look for designs. By the time she would be basically done I would have a design ready. She just did not want to do my nails. I feel like they would never treat a Caucasian or fellow Asian like that because I saw it with my own eyes many times. I will never go back there. I encourage anyone who has had the same treatment to never go back. I know good nail techs are hard to find in Texarkana but that is unacceptable and morally wrong. I’m disgusted and traumatized. This happened to me in a room full of people. Modern Nails is not modern at all. The name should be changed. My nail tech did a poor job on my nails. As you can see around the cuticle the acrylic is not seamless which can cause lifting and possible nail fungus. This should have been $20, not $55. I was robbed. DO NOT GO HERE!

Mike Openroad We were in Texarkana (08/2018) for a wedding, and my wife, her sisters, mother, and niece went to Kelly Nail & Spa on Richmond Rd. for manicures…a girls’ day out on a Saturday afternoon. They reported that Kelly’s was clean, bright, and very busy. Staff were in graphic t-shirts, shorts, and sandals/flip-flops...for the most part, staff acted professional, but Kelly Nail & Spa did not feel like a professional shop. My wife got a manicure by Kelly (the owner), who was very nice, very attentive, and very thorough. One sister and her mother also purchased pedicures. They reported being satisfied with their manicures and pedicures, but they mentioned that their manicures and pedicures weren’t anything more nor anything less than other places they have been for beautification and relaxation. The other sister and my niece were not satisfied with their manicures, as they reported that the gentlemen attending to them seemed to be in a rush and unengaging. They reported that they did not get hand massages/lotion like the other three and were dissatisfied with the overall visit. Apparently, Kelly’s was very busy (Saturday afternoon), and instead of reporting a delay, they tried to push as many customers through as was possible…this cut down on customer service. Two of the ladies voted for three stars, two of the ladies voted for four stars, and the mother was undecisive and voted for 3.5 stars. All reported that they would try a different place the next time they were in Texarkana except my wife, who really enjoy Kelly’s (the owner) manicure.

Monshayle Allison I hadnt had a pedicure in a few months and knew my feet needed work. I was the only one in the shop. He only touched the cuticles of my big toe and just sawed the rest of my toes. He just laid the hot towels, that were barely luke warm, over my feet and legs for a couple minutes. I didnt even feel any heat from the "hot" stones and he rubbed them across my legs so fast it was over before I knew it. Didnt feel any heat from those either. He just rushed through my feet as if there were other people waiting. For $55 I expected a better experience and some time taken to get rid of all the dead skin and buildup around my nail bed. One star is simply for the color because he didnt bother to massage my legs or feet worth anything.

Bermeshia Rives I been coming here since I was pregnant and this is by far the best nail shop I been to. I love the cleanliness, the fact that my services are never rushed… no matter how busy they are, the thoroughness and how polite they are and the peppermint pedicures with real herbs are my fave. I will continue coming and bringing my clients here.

Zoe Ebarb I wanted to like this place but my experience wasn’t the best. The lady who did my nails did not ask me what length, shape, or anything I wanted… There was acrylic goop (whatever you want to call it) under a few of my nails, she talked on the phone the entire time while rushing to get my nails done, ignored me when I pointed out mistakes that could’ve easily been fixed, & then charged me $50 for a refill. Not to mention, she turned away a customer when she was finishing my nails bc she was “way too busy” (there were no other customers). Nails don’t look terrible from the top though!

hali my service was horrible she did not listen at all she was in a really big rush and when she asked me how long i wanted them and i showed her she still cut them extremely short. let alone she hurt me multiple times and never stopped to make sure i was okay with what she was doing there is serval bumps and messed up places on my nails she had no experience with how to do nails correct. i got blue tips that look worse than my nails did before i do not recommend.

Tia Melendez My service was horrible bc they don’t listen. The gel polish was thick and the lamps don’t completely dry the polish. The polish was clearly moving around on my toe bed and they acted blind. My gel manicure lifted the next day. And I ended up with cellulitis in my hand bc she cut the cuticles back too far. When I called them to rectify the situation , the woman said that she was not responsible and anything that I get again I have to pay for. Please DO NOT use this nail shop.

NORMA WYATT One of the women was quite rude to me. Told me she would help me in 5 minutes. I was waiting 20 and then I went to the register and told then I had other places to go. They urged me to wait. I requested regular polish...not gel. I picked out a color but told them I didnt want get twice. First lady rudely yelled at me saying the box had both kinds of polish in it although the box clearly stated it was gel polish. Not sure what I really got. Paid only $5 less than my usual dipping powder cost. I wont return

Sadie Coleman Absolutely obsessed! I was seating around 5:45-6pm (they close at 7), however they did AMZING!!! These are my favorite nails I’ve ever gotten. I showed my nail tech a photo I found on pinterest and she replicated it perfectly, if not better. 10/10!

Amy wood Nails were everything I wanted, absolutely beautiful. A little pricey, $60 for full set, but done amazing job so I didnt mind. 2 days later just washing my hair I had 2 nails come off. By day 4 I had lost 5 nails and ended up having to take the others off cause I didnt have time to get them fixed. Ive religiously had my nails done every 2 weeks for the past 3 years and Ive never had nails pop off like this.

Gwyn Everett Bella nails is our go-to nail salon. They work fast but they do a great job. The nails hold up really well over time. If something goes wring-a chip or break-they work me in and fix it quick. They really value their customers. They do a really relaxing pedicure. They do a fantastic eyebrow wax. The value for your money is really high. They know us, how long weve been coming there. I cant say enough how great this place is. Its nice to get the vip treatment!!!

Margaret Jett Oh my goodness! They are so patient. In one week they fixed THREE broken fingernails. NOT their fault at all, but they fixed them. They did a great job! Ive been going there for nearly a year and they just keep doing better. Remember that if you go on the weekend they are wicked busy!!

Cayla Madaris I was traveling through on my way from Memphis to Austin and hit two other salons before this one. They were too busy at 930 for a walkin, so that was fine, but they werent very friendly other than to tell me no. This place was great, I felt welcomed as soon as I came in. They had an appointment at 1030 but said they could fit in a basic pedicure. Very nice people and great work.

J Jones I contacted Relax nail and spa about group pedicures for one of my friend’s birthdays! Not only were they super quick to respond, but they were able to accommodate all of us and were willing to start early. I gave them the number of people we were expecting and the time we wanted to start. They absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. Everyone was so kind. We all had wonderful services and a wonderful experience. I will not go anywhere else in Texarkana after this wonderful visit!

Naturepower I had a great experience here. I walked in and they accommodated me quickly. They are very experienced nail tech who understood what I wanted. I told her about the shape which isn’t easy to do, I like almond but I don’t like long nails but she made it looking beautiful. They lasted for a long time.

Emily Heimeyer They were AMAZING!! I brought my baby with me during my appointment bc I am ebf. Of course I had her covered in her car seat to protect her. They were very kind, gentle, judge free, welcoming, respectful, and engaging. They made room for my baby and her stuff when I got a pedicure and manicure. When she would fuss or whine, they helped soothe and made me not feel guilty. They didn’t stop me from soothing her during manicure. Absolutely would recommend to mothers who still try to do something for themselves yet have to bring their baby with them!!

Andrea Akins The employees were friendly and the environment was clean. That’s the only reason they got 2 stars. As you can see in the pictures, my nails were, in my opinion, completely unacceptable. Especially to have been done by a professional. I asked for a short-ish coffin shape. The nails are all crooked, uneven, and each a different version of “coffin”. The Polish doesn’t even go down the full length of my nails. After she attempted to upsell and I politely declined, she rushed through the whole process. It was obvious that she didn’t care at all how my nails turned out. I will NOT go back and would never refer anyone there. At least not to the woman.

Jenni Temple The lady that did my nails did a horrible job! I didn’t have time to have them fixed. I had to be at work. I went back two days later and she was extremely rude. When I asked if someone could fix them for me because they looked horrible, she ignored me! Another person told me I would have to come back later. Everyone in this place is so very rude!

mo25c 3 stars is for the lady who gave me the first decent pedicure Ive had here. The lady who greets you at the door just yells at you to pick a color from their regular polish. I tried to tell her that I use gel but she wouldnt stop snapping at me to pick a color. I dont like the fact that they work on your hands while your feet are being worked on either. Pedicures are a treat that I like to enjoy. Its impossible to relax when a nail tech keeps tapping your hands to switch. The hand nail tech also got annoyed and started doing a worse job when I told him I didnt pick out a gel color because the lady kept yelling at me. Its not my fault she was more concerned with cracking jokes in her language than demonstrating the slightest bit of hospitality. Ill go back for a pedicure if I dont find a better place but nothing else and only if I run out of options.

Rebecca Graham Wonderful! I paid $35 for the Deluxe pedi and got one of the best massage chairs Ive ever sat in to start. The water was super hot but she adjusted it for me and did an amazing job with everything. I got my legs and feet scrubbed and massaged, she got off all the calluses and trimmed, shaped, and buffed my nails- she masseged them again in a lotion and hot stones and it felt amazing! She wrapped my feet in warm towels to soak it all in, topped it off with some polish and I couldnt be happier. My legs are SUPER soft and my toes look great. So relaxing, and they were so so nice- highly recommend this place, I will be back guaranteed!

mo25c I went shop to shop when I first moved here until I found Amazing Nails. Ive been going there for several months now and they are always polite and very skilled. They dont file down your nails until you can feel the heat, and trim your cuticles. Taking the time to care about what they are doing lets me know I can trust them. Jennifer actually hand draws beautiful designs on your nails instead of stickers. It is also nice to not have a language barrier. If there is something you dont like, you can tell them and they will fix it, no attitude or sloppy work. They make sure youre happy with what you paid for. The place is clean and they have a large selection of colors and options for your nails. Im done shop hopping ❤️ So happy I found you guys! See you again soon.

Carolyn Litteral I purchased the most expensive pedicure and she took 30 minutes total and didn’t even trim my cuticles or remove calluses. She did about a 5 minute massage and cut my toe. It took her almost 2 hours to dip my nails (overlay not even tips) and I asked for narrow, thin coffin and got square wide and thick. My nails are all different shapes and are at a slant. DO not go here she was awful.

Shea Rutherford Unfortunately, I had a different tech than normal. The shape was not something she was open to, a short coffin style. Which is something I frequently have done here. I have multiple shapes/lengths with no effort to make them uniform. Scrap left underneath and around the nails. Overall, it wasnt the service I have experienced in the past with POSh

Vivian Bridges This was my first time getting my nails done and these people were really nice. My nails turned out wonderful. Kaitlyn is the one that did them and she was super sweet. My mom got a pedicure and has went to many other places but said she loved this one. Henry is the one who did my moms pedicure. Thank you Kaitlyn and Henry. We will definitely go there again.

Ashlyn Stevens I called beforehand to see how much a pedicure was and if it included callous removal. I was told $35, and yes, it did include callous removal. The pedicure ended up being $45 (which was fine, because they had to drill off my gel top coat, and because I got French tips, $5 extra for each). My issue is: This pedicure did not include callous removal. No foot file was used whatsoever. Only a pumice stone. My technician did a great paint job on my toes, however. I’m just pretty bummed that I called beforehand to make sure the pedicure included callous removal, and spent $55 after tip, to not receive what I had expected. Very nice and clean salon and staff though. I think for $55 total, a foot file can be used, or a more vigorous pumice stoning on the foot. The bottoms of my feet absolutely do not look like I got a pedicure. The paint is beautiful though.

Bee Beautiful work done here They are all very talented. Especially if you like designer nails with bling and charms. My nails were done beautifully and sculpted perfect, but my color is not what I asked for and it took me an hour and a half just to get in a chair and it cost $75 for my basic coffin nails 1 solid color

Heather Strain When the guy dipped my nails in clear powder I knew something was wrong but he wouldn’t listen to me when I asked for color. I ended up with dip and gel on my nails. Went back for a pedicure and the guy barely exfoliated my feet, didn’t touch my big toes. I asked him to please get my big toes, they’re the worst part. He ignored that or didn’t understand so I paid $62 and still have to go home and get the dead skin off of my own feet. I won’t be back.

Margie Yates My husband and I went in for pedicures tonight. It was his first time and our anniversary. At 1st they were very nice, until we asked them to go shorter with our toenails. The 2 that did ours must have been kinda new. They werent impressive at all. Another lady had to come do some work on us both because they didnt know how. After the second time of me asking them to make my toenails SHORT... they started being rude. Then I felt rushed out even though I told them that my nails were NOT dry. Now I have a messed up paint job on nails that r still too long. And have paid over $100 between mine and my husbands. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!

Waverly Nicole I’m from out of town. I had a 12:30 appointment for a gel-x fill. I arrived at 12:20 and waited until 1:00 to finally be serviced. 2 people that arrived after me were serviced before me. The man that took off my builder gel complained the entire time. Then when I asked for my nails to be shorter he shook his head and began to grumble. My nails do not look professionally done. In situations like these I just pay ($45) and never return.

She did so good they look absolutely professional and perfected every nail shape and made me feel comfortable about speaking up if I didn’t like something I mean Anna literally mixed colors until we got the perfect color I wanted. I love that everytime I come here they try their best to please their customers and make sure you walk out loving your nails and honestly this is the first place that doesn’t judge you for letting them know when something is wrong. Their prices are good and my nails always look better than the last set. They are patient and don’t rush you off. I will always come back here!
