J BB I love the birth center! I have gotten such great care for each pregnancy from the midwives. Dont hesitate to reach out for more information. I recommend doing this early into pregnancy so you can secure your due date with the team. The center is also beautiful and extremely comforting.
I was a transfer for my first birth but that does NOT mean anything wrong happened during my care, I was overdue. I was supported by Ellie at the hospital and had a fantastic postpartum. The care I received led to my baby and me being super healthy and I knew I would still come back here (which I did 2 years later with baby 2) regardless.

Morgan Kloesel I’ll never have enough good things to say about Ellie or our experience at The Bastrop Birthing Center. Ellie was with us from the very beginning of our journey to baby girl and a true blessing in our lives.
We ultimately had a baby who was stubbornly breech and had to schedule a c section. Ellie immediately shifted to helping me prepare mentally and physically for the c section. She scheduled everything for us with the hospital and was with us the entire time before and during the procedure. She supported me during the c section which allowed my husband to focus on our baby once she arrived.
We had the best postpartum experience with Ellie also and she continued to give our little girl the best care for six weeks after birth.

Felicia spinks Ellie was a dream come true. It is so hard to find a midwife that respects all your wishes & desires when it comes to homebirth but Ellie was that rare gem. She supported us through the whole process, giving us our options and suggestions without pressuring us so we could make our own informed decisions. It was wonderful. She trusted me and my intution and body and was very respectful. Her birthing center is so quaint I would have birthed there but didnt feel like getting in the car during labor . Highly recommend her and the center.

Hannah W Our family had a wonderful experience with Ellies help at The Bastrop Birthing Center. Its been 4 years since our daughter was born and I can look back on it satisfied that it was done well. Ellie is caring and knowledgeable. Mine was a VBAC and I knew we were in good hands and trusted her to help manage the delivery of my daughter. She gave support along the way and she still helps with my questions all these years later. Thanks!

Claire Volz We had a refreshing experience at Bastrop Birthing Center from the moment we walked in for our initial consult. Ellie was transparent from the beginning about details of care. Each appointment we grew closer to her and her students finding great peace in the time Ellie took to explain and answer our questions thoroughly. As first time parents, we appreciated never feeling rushed or silly for asking questions. The final student we worked with was Angel who was also so great! If youre looking for a natural birth, BBC is the place to do it. Ellie always respected our wishes as parents and we were never pressured to do anything we didnt want to prenatally or post-partum. My baby gave us a tough time on her way out however Ellie and her supporting midwife that night/morning were exactly the team we needed to deliver her naturally. I was able to birth my daughter in the birth pool which is exactly what I hoped for! Afterwards, I hemorrhaged and I never sensed anxiety or stress from Ellie. I felt completely safe the entire time. We highly recommend her care and hope to return for our next baby!

Madison He refused to renew my handicapped placard because, the way it was explained to me, apparently my disabilities and health issues are not serious or debilitating enough. He and his nurse seem to have had my appointment without me and called me to tell me there was essentially no point in me even coming to my appointment.

Allison Moody Doctor Anderson is the kind of doctor I’ve needed in my life. He hears you. What makes you comfortable is he has a great charm and wit. I felt like he knew what I needed to hear and how to say it. I know I’m going to get the care I need and am in good hands.

Crystal H One of the most unprofessional doctor experiences I’ve ever had in my life. Incapable of providing patient education, and if asked questions about treatment plans, instead of just taking his word for it he accuses you of being a frustrating patient with frustrating symptoms. He expressed he can not be a good fit as a primary care because the symptoms are too frustrating for him.

And I normally like to schedule doctor visits. But just on this experience alone. I look forward to scheduling future appointments with this provider Emmy Galvan and the clinic.

Moira Gallagher My partner and I had an amazing experience this morning with Emmy Galvan! She provided a compassionate, in-depth dialogue that felt patient-focused. She answered all our questions and fulfilled all our needs and beyond. The medical assistants in the clinic were also all wonderful. We are impressed and happy to call this clinic home base for our outpatient primary care!

Gabrielle Rincon I called ARC friday feb 28 @ 9:53 am in bastrop to make a doctor appointment with my primary care dr because I have been under the weather since Monday. It being Friday I figured maybe I need antibiotics b4 the weekend. Due to Lots of mucus and lots of coughing. Which stated making my chest heavy. All on top of being sick I was still working. The nurse didnt seem to care and told me due to my symptoms its protocol that I should go to ER. I told her it not that serious or I would of went. I just to see a doctor and probably get on antibiotics. She went back and forth with me for a bit. then finally said well, Ill have to ask your doctor to override the protocol and see if you can come in shell call u back. I said thats fine Ill be waiting for your call. It is now 6:41 pm . No call no nothing from ARC. Office closed at 5 pm.
Ive only visited this place once for a woman yearly checkup about a year ago. Which I also had a hard time getting an appointment for.
Im not one to ever make reviews or complaints. But I feel so neglected that no one reached back out to me, yet they wanted to send me to the ER.

Jack Claiborne Im having a bad experience. They made it clear to me that they were not able to help me with anything more than a referral. I was there less than one hour. I paid $50 initially when checking in. The girl told me it should be around $100. Two weeks later they charged my account for $180 (red flag). Yesterday I received a bill for yet another $140. This will not end well. Stay away. Update: I have cancer. Thanks for nothing. $370

Clint Worthington Service was what was expected. Billing dept. is horrible. I walked in for a quick visit, had insurance, was denied by insurance later. All because they billed from another location that didnt match where I went. It was another business name even. Finally got it straightened out and was waiting on the new bill to be sent (because my insurance started that they over charged me also) and got a call from collections instead. Not very good customer service. My insurance even called them to verify because this location Cosby understand why I was denied. Maybe they should use the right name of business and address of service.

kathy prellop We weren’t pleased with this place at all. There was one aid, that was wonderful with our aunt most of the time they just left her sitting in the bed, didn’t get her up to go to the bathroom, but one time she ended up with bed sores on her butt and her heels. The only time we got anything done is when we went and complained.

She answered all my questions promptly and was able to get my Mom moved in within days. Also, Im very impressed with the organization of the staff. They are all so skilled and have their specialties. My Mom was a nurse and she fits right at home here. The place is quaint and cozy and Im grateful she lives here now. I cant say enough about the incredible nurses. Im so incredibly blessed to have my Mom here.

Reuben Salinas You read reviews, and you always have the worst ones that stick out to you the most! Well, I can tell you that my experience here with my loved one has been extremely wonderful. I can sleep well at night, knowing that he is being taken care of and then I truly believe that all of their hearts are in taking care of their patients while I know, things may arise, and they may need to spend more time on one patient than the other and some things may get missed. That’s understandable and that is something that happens in everyone’s life but their goal is to always make sure that every patient there has the best quality of care and also the best quality of life.

Its also a great place to work if you are wanting to make a difference in the lives of others. Go check them out if you are looking for placement for a loved one, or even employment opportunities!

Kylie DeFrance Dr. Handy gave me my life back!
For years, I suffered from debilitating foot pain. Since childhood, my feet were the source of insecurity and discomfort, a problem my dad jokingly referred to as "flintstone feet." A botched surgery on my right foot when I was 15 only amplified my problems, leaving me with lasting trauma and a deep distrust of podiatrists. The pain in my left foot became unbearable, but the memory of that first surgery kept me from seeking help for over two decades.
Finding Dr. Handy was nothing short of a miracle. From the initial consultation, I felt completely at ease. He listened patiently to my concerns, thoroughly explained my condition and treatment options, and addressed my anxieties with compassion and understanding. He has a confident, no-nonsense approach, but he never made me feel rushed or dismissed. He took the time to answer all my questions, no matter how trivial, and ensured I felt completely informed and empowered every step of the way.
The surgery on my left foot was a complete success. Dr. Handys skill and expertise are evident in the incredible results. Not only is my foot pain-free for the first time in my life, but the aesthetic improvement is remarkable. He truly is an artist!
What sets Dr. Handy apart is his dedication to patient care that extends beyond the operating room. His post-operative care was exceptional. He was always available to answer my questions and address my concerns, even when I bombarded him with phone calls. He genuinely cares about his patients well-being and goes above and beyond to ensure a smooth and comfortable recovery.
Thanks to Dr. Handy, I can walk, hike, and even wear cute shoes without pain. He has given me a new lease on life, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. If youre struggling with foot pain, please dont suffer in silence. Schedule an appointment with Dr. Handy today – you wont regret it!

Lisa Taylor I went online the other day to book an appointment. Needless to say it didnt go through but I didnt know that until I was at the Dr office. Well I will have to say Lyndsey was awesome getting me squeezed in, she saw how sick I am. She was the absolute sweetest person ever. I cant thank her enough for all she did for me today!

Art Litteken Frustrated: I needed a prescription refilled and was informed that I need to make an appointment first. I asked why they wait until I was out of a medication to inform me of this. She said that everyone was different. I understand that but if I needed an appointment scheduled for refills, why wouldn’t they inform me when I was there and schedule an appointment when I was in the doctors office. The lady I spoke to was very rude, unprofessional!!!

Crystal Ames Worst place ever! I was in a really bad car accident and scheduled a follow-up visit with them. When I made my appointment I informed the receptionist for my reason for visit. When I arrived for my 2:50pm visit on a Friday I was informed that then though I waited for this appointment in lots if pain (rolled my vehicle) that they dont except insurance for car accidents. So its late Friday which was the soonest I could get and too late to find anyone else and now I cant be seen. The receptionist didnt care that they knew why I was being seen and no one told me I couldnt use my insurance or I would have gone somewhere else, she even said they could see me but I was not allowed to discuss my injuries from my accident which was the only reason I was there! I ended up at urgent care that was the same copay so that worked but I waited 3 extra days in pain for that appointment!

M S G What an awesome service! Used CARTS from Bastrop to Austin airport and I cant believe what an easy and affordable process it was. I arrived a few minutes early to the Carts station to buy my ticket ($4 cash one way, or on the Journey app) and got a quick rundown by the helpful staff in the office (cant remember her name unfortunately) and soon after I was on my way. The bus is comfortable with plenty of room, ac works really well, and most importantly the driver was great and a safe driver.
There is plenty of parking spaces to leave your car overnight, even for a smaller station.
Such a cool service for Bastrop and surrounding areas. I will definitely be using it more in the near future.

Tyler Its genuinely ridiculous with the wait time. There are wonderful drivers and then theres some where instead of taking the route they choose their own. Therefore making me late. Somehow a drop off and pick up can take 10 minutes collectively. I havent seen anyone mention it yet but Pat if you see this you deserve a damn raise. Youve always done your best to get us on time. Carolyn Winter Dr Walkes was in charge of the communicable disease program we had during the pandemic for our county. She is very sharp and appreciative of honesty from her patients. However, you probably won’t see her at your appointments. Her Nurse Practitioner Denise Culpepper is awesome and my new favorite primary care provider. She will listen to whatever you have to say and run any test either you or she thinks you need. She likes to do head to toe observations and exams. She will keep track of your schedule for must have labs, Pap smears, bone density, mammograms, vaccines and follow your symptoms even if you forget about them on your next visit. She allows you the curtesy to refuse any exam or vaccination and she has a phlebotomist who is great at listening to which vein you want your blood drawn from and is very good with difficult blood draws. If you have a hard time getting through to the clinic on the phone you can send a message through the portal on the home page for A+ Lifestyle or Dr Desmar Walkes.

Keith Bower While at the lab I called Dr Walks office to send the lab order. They said 15 minutes max.. I sat there 45 minutes,, come to find out they went to lunch while I was still setting there fasting . Up to about 1230 or 1pm I left. About 2weeks later I got lab work done. 2 weeks later To this day I havent heard a word from them. Currently Trying to get my thyroid medication refilled. Nothing yet... Nothing this day hopefully tomorrow...

Mary H Mills When I am asked if I have a Doctor, for example at an emergency room I say yes,
I then begin to ask my self-Do I have a Doctor?. I never see her. I choose her years ago when I first moved to this area, I lke her and trusted her diagnoses which seemed to be right on the mark. At first when I set up appointments, I was taken to a room to meet with the Dr.--- That has not happened in a very long time.
Now when I want to make an appointment, I have to wade through a recorded set of questions and then told to wait for a return phone call. After hours of waiting, the call comes--- I am questioned again by a nurse practitioner or assistant to the Dr (worse the call back never happens.)
When I describe my concerns, I am often told, “Oh, I can prescribe for you.”. I do not know if this person has the credentials that I assume the Dr has, I trust the Dr. recommendation because she has training and experience. What does this assistant have? There is no indication.
IF I insist on seeing the Dr, I am told she only hold court on one or two days in a week. I can set an appointment for one of these days. BUT even if I do, make this appointment on the days that the Dr holds court, I am met with the assistant or nurse practitioner instead. So...do I have a family Dr?

Britta Franklin Dr Walkes and her Assistant, Denise, and staff, are outstanding. From the time I came in they treated me like I actually mattered. Denise was running around like a chicken with her head cut off, getting things done right the first time. She is very pleasant and makes you feel relaxed and at ease. Both she and Dr Walkes were amazing. Attentive. Courteous. And on the ball. Dr Walkes is what everyone is saying about her. She took me in and took care of me like I was her own child! A wonderful dr and I will continue to see her and trust her with my health! Thanks, Dr Walkes!!

Jesse and Samantha Medina This is the most amazing place. They actually care about you and take time during appointments. I am used to doctor’s rushing appointments, but Dr. Doughtery goes through EVERYTHING from your history to questions and never rushes. I went to an initial appointment first to discuss the options and pricing. I then came back a month later when I was ready to start. I brought my 3 year old son to the appointment and it was no issues at all! They have an AMAZING Childrens room with a train set, toys, and things to keep my son busy during my appointment. I felt accepted during my appointment and encouraged to make healthy choices. I signed up for the weight management program after speaking with several people around town that had amazing results. I highly recommend. If you are serious about weight loss, willing to do the work, then I highly recommend since this will give you a huge PUSH to success.
Their pricing is extremely transparent. Thank you Genesis for being honest, true, and caring!

I liked Dr Lerma but office staff not so much and I lost my doctor of 7 years but he also could’ve talked to me about everything first instead of sending a letter saying can no longer see me. Especially seeing he knew my situation and issues and knows I can’t get meds was getting elsewhere so been without for some time now and hasn’t been nice but who cares. Gotta love getting older and the way doctors think. I’m not crazy about it but that’s life as we now know it. I’ll just get by till no more.

Mary Dudley My new family Dr. So far I trust this man with my health. However, something is going on here with the staff, and Im not entirely sure Dr. Lerma is in the loop. 3 times now, I have received a phone call to reschedule on the DAY of my appointment. I needed refills for 2 medications that are dangerous to stop taking (one is heart medication). Uncaring staff told me I was welcome to go find a new doctor, and if I have a heart attack then go to the ER. I have complicated health conditions, and Dr. Lerma is a good doctor. He is kind, caring and a good listener. He has really helped me get through a tough time. I am a patient and laid back person, but this office staff issue has really got me disappointed.

Its been a while since Ive been, Today Dec 5th about 130 pm I had to take a friend of mine to the ER, he was real sick, the girl that checked us in the ER getting his information, was the nicest one Ive ever seen up there, I totally surprised how good we were treated, I didnt get her name but shes definitely a keeper, This was the 1st time n years that we experienced someone actually friendly & helpful, it was nice seeing someone nice n respectful for a change. Edgar Dominguez The worst clinic in my opinion. I have had tests done for two months and they have not given me the results. You cannot arrive 5 minutes late because you lose the appointment. Even if you call, you will arrive that long late. When they have you in the waiting room for 30 to 40 minutes to get you in, they dont care if you come from far away. They no longer attend to you. Very bad experience with them.

Sydney T With a very heavy heart, I had to leave Texas and incredibly unfortunately Jenna Gray. After almost 2 years, I cannot say enough about the amazing Healthcare and general care I received from this office. From the advancements in my treatments, and diagnosis, to the many referrals to specialist. The personal patient knowledge that this office provides in unmatched, I always left understanding our care plan, and next steps while still feeling heard throughout the process. In 30 years and 8 states, I can say Ive genuinely never felt more cared for. Appointments are simple to schedule, nurse/Dr contact system is a bar set unbelievably high. Truly love, care, and respect poured from this office for me in every way, PLEASE. Dont put your health off if you dont have to, let LSCOC help take care of you, so you can take better care of yourself.

Becky Park Pamela Lopez has been seeing our grand children for years. She is so helpful and understanding. A wonderful listener. She makes sure the kids are comfortable. She works with them to come up with solutions for whatever issues they are facing. She can get them to open up and start talking by simply playing candy land or making jewelry with them! She is amazing!! She is truly the best in the behavioral health department. We are blessed to have found her.

Randolph Jordan IV Unfriendly, drove a hour for a preemployment drug test. I was there at 11:30. They told me they only do drug test between one and four that it’s on the door. There’s no sign on the door. The ladies were completely rude. Then once I waited till 1 o’clock to actually go take my test they couldn’t find the test that was mailed to them after I showed them the tracking that it was delivered on Friday at 10:30 took them over an hour and they found it in the closet on the floor chaotic unorganized people. If you have a choice to go somewhere else I would highly recommend it. I would not pay to go to this clinic at all and I am sorry that my employer had to pay for there ignorance

Yecca A Dr Katie Jo is the sweetest doctor Ive ever met. You wouldnt expect this little facility to have wonderful people working here, but everyone is so nice here. I walked in and was seen fairly quickly. Did not have to wait long for the actual doctor to come see me either. I did not call in, I just walked in because appointments were so far out online. Will definitely return if I need to.

Jake This place is a scam!! I am new to the area and went on Friday to get established with the doctor so I can get my adhd medication (that I’ve been on since 2016) refilled and the doctor wasn’t there so I met with the nurse who told me that she had no problem getting my meds refilled just to get a call today telling me that the doctor wasn’t comfortable giving me my normal dose of 30mg 2x a day (that I’ve been on for 5+ years) but he’ll do 20mg 2x a day… when I asked why the front desk lady said it’s bc he “doesn’t feel comfortable prescribing you that dose” but if I go to HIS psychiatrist, not the one I’ve seen on a regular basis for 4 years and would happily give his recommendation to continue my medication, he would feel comfortable prescribing my medication at the dose I need… they even sent in the prescription before calling to tell me this… and when I was telling the lady that didn’t make sense to me and asked for her to cancel the prescription she told no that it doesn’t matter as long as I don’t pick up and when I said that makes me uncomfortable she started yelling at me and hung up on me… it’s all sketchy like as a doctor why would you prescribe me the medicine at all if you aren’t comfortable with it at a slightly lower dose and why are you mad when I want to cancel the prescription all together??? Already got my insurance investigating them

Heather Mitchell Had an appointment, was told to wait in the car and call when I arrived. I called 3 times no answer. So I walked in to this EMPTY clinic and waited about 3 or 4 minutes for the receptionist to come to the desk. She immediately told me I was to wait in my car. I told her I tried calling and no one would answer and she said she had been there answering calls and insisted again that I go back to my car. I tried to hand her my insurance card to save her a trip outside and she would not even entertain the idea and pointed her finger at me and told me to go to my car. All she had to do was take my insurance but instead made me feel like they didnt want me there to begin with since I was a little sick. When I called back to talk to the manager they said I was refusing to follow directions and refused to give them my insurance card and told me to find another Dr. So thats the professionalism of this clinic.

TB I been seeing Dr.Batlle for 6 years. I had a appointment in January of this year. They called me 2 hours before my appointment to tell me that they no longer take my insurance. They told me if I wanted to see the dr that I had to pay cash..I had no choice but to pay. I saw Jennifer and she was so cold hearted and so rude..I cant afford to pay $165.00 a month.she gave me 1 month supply then told me to wean myself off of them. Didnt tell me how to do that. I mean like $165.00 for just a couple of minutes. Im on disability and I cant afford to pay that much a month. I took my last dose last week and I ended up in the hospital cause the withdrawal was so bad. I thought me and Dr. Battle has a good relationship. He likes to talk about his other patients. But turns out he all about the money. I was a good patient..I never had a dirty u.a..never tried to call them in early. I took my medicine right. I wouldnt go to Dr.Batlle. I would Rather suffer before I ever go back. I cant believe that they did this to me. All he wants is money cause he wants to retire soon. Beware of this office.

Anne Longworth I moved to Bastrop in May, 2020 and contacted Dr Batlle as a new patient to transfer and renew my prescriptions. This simple process took over a week. I take very common medicines. I called his office every couple of days to check status and was given some excuse each time by the office staff. I finally reached the Doctor and he seemed to have a chip on his shoulder because he argued with me and went out of his way to make me seem foolish. I finally got through to him, saying that I wasn’t arguing with him, I just didn’t know what he wanted me to do, or how to do it. We got that cleared up, and then he phoned the pharmacy and gave them the wrong patient’s name. I don’t know what his problem was but that kind of mistake could really harm someone. Thanks to HEB Pharmacy the mistake was corrected, and I requested a new doctor the very next day. If you choose to deal with Dr Batlle, be careful and double-check every detail.

Anne Longworth I recently moved to Bastrop and went to see Dr Batlle as a new patient. I needed to order lab tests and renew my prescriptions. The doctor managed to renew one medication, but I had to call every day for more than a week to get my other 3 prescriptions filled. When they were finally filled, they were filed under another patients name. The pharmacy staff helped me straighten out the mess. As for my lab tests, when the results came back, the doctor had one of his staff call me to say "Everything looks good." No details. No advice. No offer to mail me the results. Im calm now, 5 months later, but at the time I was horrified at the doctors extreme lack of care or competence.

She was caring and seemed to be genuinely concerned about me. The nurses are aslo wonderful and kind. Minus one star because there is a male doctor there that was a bit dismissive and the billing is as atrocious as most hospitals. I would still reccomend this ER.

Khan Shaheen If I could give this place zero stars I would. I came in back in December 2022 and I am STILL horrified at the way I was ignored and left by staff, so I have to finally voice my experience. I had overdosed (nerve pain medication and antipsychotic) and was out of it most of the time so a lot of this is my partners view from when I came in. First, they simply left me in a bed and dont hook up any monitors - not even taking my blood pressure, heart rate/oxygen, no IV fluids, NOTHING! My partner had to ask them about 8 times before they gave in and hooked up my vitals to shut my partner up, the bare minimum. They didnt monitor them of course. Then, I was visibly convulsing from the overdose and repeatedly crying out in severe pain and they had no course of action. They didnt care. They gave me NOTHING to ease the convulsions, and I was left to suffer the worst pain of my entire life. I was there for 10 hours. And when I said I had to use the restroom, the nurses wouldnt help me get there. My partner was left to help me clean myself up after, which I was not lucid enough to do on my own. And to top it all off, I didnt see a doctor ONCE the entire time except the moment before they sent me off involuntarily to a mental hospital (since I overdosed on medication). I have had painful lasting effects from this overdose (uncontrollable painful muscle movements in my eyes), and I wish I had gone ANYWHERE else but here for help. Maybe the effects would have been reduced if they cared enough to actually do their jobs. How can anyone in the healthcare industry turn such a cold shoulder on a suffering patient? I am left with the memory and lasting effects of a suicide attempt along with the fact that not even ONE PERSON working here cared enough to even do something as simple as take my blood pressure! Im not an angry person, but I am enraged at how I was not treated as a human being deserving of care. My guess is because I have mental illness on my record they felt free to treat me like dirt. If you can choose anywhere else, please do so. Its way too late for me to take legal action, but I regret not doing so immensely.

Linda Navarre I will never darken this Emergency Center Again. Called a Liar by the Emergency Physician, told I didnt need antibiotics, but received a phone called from a rude and arrogant Doctor telling me that one of my cultures was positive. I ask do I have Sepsis? He stated " No I never said that" He also didnt tell me that it was not bacterial. It was due to a containment. He then cut me off and hung up. I called back and was told to return to the Emergency Center so they could start IV antibiotics (funny 14 hours before I DIDNT NEED ANTIBIOTICS). We chose to go to another facility and were given the truth, not Bacterial and did not need Antibiotics. Attending Physician looked over the lab results and stated was going to re-run cultures, but assured me that he wasnt worried. Took him an hour and a half to do what it took St. Davids five hours to do. Your RNs cant tell time, much less there job. And they also dont need to assume that anybody over the age of 50 is okay with being called honey, sweetie or any other term of endearment. I also have a dollar size purple bruise on my left forearm caused by somebody who was lacking in her ability to find a vein. St.Davids Bastrop is deserving of their 2.6 rating, I only that this review makes it go even lower.

Taziah I want to give a heartfelt 5-star review to Nurse Karl and Dr. Habenicht! I came in with extreme abdominal pain, and the care they provided was truly exceptional. They made me feel understood, cared for, and explained everything in a way I could easily understand. Dr. Habenicht was spot on in recommending that I be transferred to another hospital, where I underwent surgery that same night. I deeply appreciate their compassion and professionalism, and I hope they see this because not all doctors or nurses show such genuine care for their patients—but they absolutely did. Thank you!

I should mention the staff as well. Very helpful with insurance and billing issues. Customer service is exemplary. We had issues with insurance, and they walked me right through it. Great resolution. My grands got their physicals on time! And apparently, it was a very comedic event as I heard they laughed their @$$#$ off in the room.

Lay Great doctor, HORRIBLE admin staff. Hardly answer the phone or return calls but are goofing off and don’t acknowledge/greet you when you come in for the appointment. Slow and disorganized with referrals. No sense of urgency. I could go on.

Deidra Flowers While Dr. Akkantis patient interaction is acceptable, her staff is very rude. While paying a bill, I told the staff member that I also needed to make an appointment. She rudely stated that I must pay the bill before making the next appointment. I found her to be short with her tone but I understood the bill needed to be paid and I did so. As soon as the bill was paid she hung up in my face. I thought maybe this was an accident. Maybe the phone disconnected. I even tried to call back to make the appointment but no answer. They didnt even try to call me back. I wont be going back to this office. Patient care starts not only with the doctors and nursing staff but the administrative staff as well.

Mr Richardson I need to update this review. I now give them a two star. This is because of making appointments, paying bills and follow up phone calls that just do not happen nine times out of 10. No one answer the phone anymore. They do not call you back when you leave messages. For over 3 years now they have used the excuse that our phone system has issues and it doesnt work correctly. People thats more than 3 years that this has been ongoing. I now have to come in person just to make an appointment and to pay my bills. I have called every phone number that they have just to make appointments, get my lab results, schedule follow-up appointments and to pay bills and it doesnt matter what number you call or leave a voice message on theyre not going to call you back nine times out of 10. You have to do everything in person. I dont know what has happened. Ive even brought it up to the doctor and she says the same thing oh its our phone. No its the employees and I dont know why shes covering for them anymore at this point. If you can get an appointment to see the doctor you usually have no issues and she does a fine job.

First and last time to use this ER. The person I was with heard the nurse who seen me tell the RUDE MAN I made a face at him. They took a very long time to come check on us. Dr seems off he talked very slowly - maybe tired. The nurse was rude with me when she checked on us after she seen I was upset with the man who rudely asked me what. The employees here do NOT share care and are very UNKIND. The lady who took our X Rays was the only person who was nice. Being in this line of work you would think the employees SHOULD BE nice and caring. Very upset and will use services elsewhere next time. Per the other reviews I see the employees need to be evaluated And filtered out !!!

Angela Castillo Took my son in May 12th for an x-ray to see if he had a broken wrist. They said due to "Russian hack" they could not send the x-ray to radiology so the doctor would have to give his best guess. Come to find out they sent the x-ray 18 DAYS LATER and so I was sent a bill. Ive gone in to speak with them, never received a response. The radiologist has tried to talk to them. I never received notification or a report on my sons arm (which was fine) and the x-ray would have been useless anyway. These people are in for a money grab and obviously incompetent to still send an x-ray 18 days later. And they wont get back to you with concerns. Now having to fight collections over a service NEVER RENDERED.

The doctor that saw him left when I called back this morning(9:40am) she did not leave any notes in his chart, nor a prescription needing to be sent the lady at the hospital that I spoke to advised me to take him back to be seen again by another physician. The hospital called me to get their paperwork started, anesthesiologist called to fill their paperwork out. Still no phone call from Urology Austin for a time and date for surgery. Get another phone call from Ascension, I told them I hadnt heard from the Doctors office for time and place yet. Ascension couldnt tell me had to come from the doctor office. Call Urology Austin 3 times to have the scheduler call me. Nothing from her. Person I did talk to said he would send a priority message right away. Every person I talked to said the same thing. 1 person told me they dont notify patients until 2 to 4 days prior to surgery, I got my notification 12 hours before from Ascension. Still no word from the scheduler, nurse or even the Doctor I left a message to call me . Nothing. So I still have my same problem which was supposed to be cured with surgery but thanks to Austin Urology I get to keep my problem and find another Urologist all thanks to the scheduler. Great way to run a business.

Todd Touchet I would give them a negative score if I could. They expect me to do all the things like bloodwork and other things but they cant be concerned enough to take 5 minutes to do a prior authorization.
They also told me to either pay out of pocket or to use GoodRX.
That would cost me a minimum of $40 per month. They wont do a prior authorization for a controlled substance. They used to but now they wont. Service is going down the drain.
