Kimberly Salmeron Edit after owner response* I did not receive acrylics, I received shellac on my real nails. 2 weeks after my service at N&D nails(I went ahead and attached more pictures with dates) I went to a different nail salon and they showed me the green spot beginning to form. They said that water mustve gotten under the bubbles or the previous place mustve used unsanitary tools. The current picture is whats growing out now. So no, I did not wait over 3 weeks to get my "acrylics" maintained. I appreciate the apology though and hope yall dont let this happen to anyone else. Went twice. First time was great. Second time I kept telling the lady that the shellac was full of bubbles so to please fix it and she kept ignoring me. Now I have a bacterial infection. I most likely will not be back. Im sure their other techs are great and that things like this surely dont happen often but I just wanted to share my experience. Never have I ever had something like this happen before after getting my nails done.

Soktheary Soeung I found n&d nails through Instagram and my first time experience was so perfect. Angel is very kind and attentive to detail, I love really sharp square narrow nails and she delivered exactly what I asked for. Natalie did my first ever acrylic pedicure and I loved it. I got so many compliments on them. I’m back again with Angel and Vicky on my toes. It’s my second time here and they always make me feel welcomed and comfortable.

Trisha Nguyen Jenny is hands-down the best nail tech I’ve ever been to! She gave me a full set of acrylics on my toes, and they came out absolutely flawless. Her attention to detail is unmatched—every nail was shaped perfectly, and the polish was smooth and vibrant. On top of that, she gave me an amazing pedicure that felt so relaxing and rejuvenating. She was friendly, professional, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about the quality of their work, Jenny is your girl. Aneasha Williams I have been going to N&D Nails Spa for a couple of years now. I absolutely love it! If you want an amazing nail tech that can do any design, please ask for Angel. She is very nice and does amazing work. Angel takes her time and makes sure you are happy with her work. I always receive a ton of compliments from Angels work. If you are looking for an awesome nail tech, please come to N&D Nails and ask for Angel, she will not disappoint!!

Mallory Lenio I went in yesterday with my friend for the first time and got a basic mani-pedi without nail polish on the manicure. The lady that did my pedicure did a great job and was very sweet and helpful. Another tech did my manicure and it was a little hasty. The nails were uneven and I asked a couple times if she could fix the shape to round and more even, but I kind of gave up. I got cut once while she was doing my cuticles (I understand it can happen), but it felt rushed. I went to pay and mentioned that I wasn’t sure they were even and the guy at the counter was nice and the same lady tried to fix it again, but I’m pretty displeased on the second day and noticed my cuticles look kind of choppy. My friend had a beautiful painted French tip set. I’m not sure I would go back.

A H I’ve been to this salon a few times. It’s always a good experience. Today, Sienna did my nails. She did a phenomenal job! She listened to my concerns and made sure my nails were just as I desired. She provided education to help me make the best decision. I love my natural nails posh and pretty.

But my birthday is this weekend so my husband suggested I treat myself and try-out this nail salon…and I’m so glad that I did! Minh did an EXCELLENT job on my nails. He was meticulous and careful as he did them, and even paused to ask if I needed anything changed before he did the finishing touches. He was very personable and his customer service was probably the best I’ve experienced in a nail salon. Plus my nails look great! I will definitely be going back soon. And you should too! Sara Rizvi I asked for medium length, the whole time it was long. When I kept asking them to shorten it they would do it a little bit and then ignore me. Lily then began to make fun of me for repeatedly asking them to shorten my nails. I just don’t get what’s so funny about that Lily, who treats their customers like that??

Amanda Gutierrez Loved how friendly the staff was. The only reason to not give a 5 stars would be that they don’t pay attention to details when it comes to painting nails with gel and polish. The clean up job was mediocre and I could see the remnants on my nail under the top coat. I would recommend this place for a full coat of gel/polish not for designs or French.

Jesse does an excellent job on my natural nails and clearly takes pride in her work. This alone allows me to put full trust in her abilities and skills. 3. The shop is clean, cozy, and classy. 4. Lindsey does fabulous job with my pedicures. 5. I was somewhat nervous about getting my brows done, but Jesse does a fantastic clean-up, wax job. She keeps my brows shaped just right. 6. The shop is literally 5 minutes away. 7. This is a small family-owned biz--which I like. Overall, I am pleased and repeat customer. I highly recommend Grand Nails. 8. I like to name Jesses nail-art work. My favorites are the white collar button-down, the pink cherry blossoms, the rose pearl blossoms, the fibonacci, and the yellow Sunday.

Timi horrible ass customer service. If you only want to come here for one service do not come here they will prioritize somebody else that has two or more services before you. It doesnt matter if you came in an hour before that person, they will still take that person before you because they see that person as giving them more money to the business. This is the second time this has happened to me where I came for one service and they prioritize somebody else after me that came for multiple services. It is not fair on my part because you are Wasting my time if you did not want to do my service, you couldve said we cannot do it right now and I wouldve left instead of me sitting in the lobby for almost 20 minutes and receiving nothing in return.

Madyson Jameson My mother and me scheduled an appointment with this amazing nail shop called Brand Nail Bar. The service was absolutely amazing, as soon as we walked in we were greeted and given a very welcoming atmosphere. The decor was stunning, such cute greenery decorations and the lights and chandeliers were so beautiful with a sense of whimsy. Bebe was my nail stylist and was very gentle with my toes and cuticles and amazing at my pedicure! The chairs are absolutely comfortable and the massage was well worth it while my pedicure was done! Ty was a delight to talk to and we had a lot of different conversations definitely glad I came here since I’m such a Chatty Kathy. I absolutely recommend scheduling an appointment and they’re always willing to accommodate if you’re running late! Amazing salon five stars for sure!!!

Sarah Barry I would not go back. They were kind but I didn’t feel justified paying for the job that was done on my nails. I didn’t want/need any designs. My skin was not oiled at the cuticles and they weren’t removed…they didn’t clean up extra nail polish or dust from my skin…and couldn’t properly shape my nails into what I wanted.

Ashley Morton Hands down one of the best manicure/pedicures Ive had in ages. Its so hard to find a good salon but this is the one! Communication is amazing and theyve got a lot of examples to be able to review your nail goals. I cant say enough good about this place. Ying was amazing and so was Tony. ❤️ I listed $100-120 but thats because I did a top level pedicure and opted into services that mattered to me for cuticles and such. I was going all out compared to what some may opt for but I think they had great prices for what they offered. Ive paid as much or more for less!

Claudia Prindle So I decided to give this place a try in September. Went there a few times and had acrylic nails fill in and pedicure done. About a month ago, they convinced me that I needed my cuticles cut too. Said okay. A few days later, I noticed some darker spots under a couple of my nails. Last time there, the lady doing my nails, who took over 2 hours to fill in, obviously not knowing what she was doing, told me to just remove and replace the acrylic on those nails. This is obviously fungus, and the only place that Ive been its here. Not going back to a place where its clear that they dont care about their customers enough to sterilize their equipment in between customers.

Candy Rogers Great experience my first time and really great staff. My first visit was GREAT! However, my second visit was not. $85 for a FILL and the quality is very poor. Asked for nude and got pink and it started chipping away the next day. It’s been less than a week. And my cuticles weren’t managed.

Taylor Littlejohn I went to this nails shop on a Wednesday around 2pm requesting a dip set. I paid 120 for these nails that took her 2 hours to complete when I told them I wasn’t happy with the design they told me to come back next day to have same lady fix. I want to say the lady who did my nails was really sweet and I appreciate her efforts I just believe she hasn’t mastered designs and needs more practice. When I came back the next day and spoke to manager about nails he informed me this was how their work is done. The design looks perfect. I was confused and extremely confused that a place like this would be ok with work like this being done. I told him I understood and left I will never come back to this place again. That same day my nail broke. This wasn’t even 48hrs after getting my nails done.

Shumaila Dosani Update: As soon as the staff here saw my review they called me in to get it fixed and they are exactly how I wanted them to be. I really appreciate good customer service and was sure to tip the nail tech who put in the effort to fix my nails. Tho I wish I didn’t have to come back out for this I do appreciate their efforts! I was super excited to try the glass nail trend, but unfortunately, this salon didn’t have the necessary jelly nail polish for it. Jelly nails are a huge trend right now, so I expected a well-known chain like this to have what’s needed, but they didn’t. The nail tech tried her best to improvise with a glossy tint, but it was clear she wasn’t familiar with the technique. This lack of expertise seems to be a recurring issue. Most of the nail techs don’t appear to be very experienced or skilled. Out of the entire staff, there might be two or three people who are amazing, but if you’re new, it feels like a game of Russian roulette. To make matters worse, the nails chipped the very next day—$70 completely wasted. I won’t be visiting again. Additionally, my friend, who visits this salon every month, was rushed and treated rudely. After she had already been seated, they asked her to step aside because she was a little indecisive about her choice. If you’re looking for anything trendy or slightly complex, this is not the place to go.

Peyton Glass UPDATE: the owner has reached out and i have an appt tuesday so will update accordingly. Went to this location last night with my husband and 9 mo old. Yes, i understand getting nails done with a little one in tow isn’t always convenient for staff but my husband and I deserved to get our nails and toes down. I told them we both wanted pedicures and manicures and I wanted a full set with dip and my husband wanted shellac. I also said I wanted to get my nails done last so once my husband was done, he could hold him! I was told we need to pick out a color. I asked the man at the front desk which were which so we could coordinate colors. I was told a technician wouldn’t have a problem helping us with colors. We sit in our seats, my little one in my lap, the nail tech approached to start on my hands immediately. I reminded them that I wanted to wait until my pedicure was over to start my hands. The lady had a HUGE problem with this, cut her eyes at me and then rolled them. Then turned around AGAIN and cut her eyes at me again. I told her, I’m paying for two different services and would like them to happen how I asked. If it was a problem I should’ve been notified when it was originally talked about. We get the best pedicures and genuinely thought our experience was turning around, until I get my nails done. After repeatedly telling the SAME RUDE TECH multiple times what I wanted she kept doing the exact opposite. We still paid for the service as we were promised the wrong would be righted. We were told to come back today and they would fix them only to get told they will not be fixing them without with costing me. Mind you we spent $250. we were told this would not cost us and it was all a lie last night.

peach princess I came in there to get my nails done. But the stylist CiCi started asking me if I played Roblox. I said no ma’am please finish my nails. She proceeded to show me her lego shaped head and said here this is Roblox. Then she started laughing. I was disgusted and asked for a refund. Instead she called the police. These were the nails. I’m a loving woman from Houston but some things are just too far. Fire Cici.

Mike gave me the most amazing, relaxing pedicure I have had and his work is perfection. I opted for French and my feet have never looked better. My next expeice was with Nancy who did a full face threading (which is normally a bit uncomfortable) and no discomfort. She clearly has an A+ technique and my eyebrows have never looked better. Francesca Gonzales Been a loyal customer of Wanderlust Nail Boutique for almost 4 years now. My mom and I always get pedicures monthly. I am assured that the employees will do an efficient and thorough job. Although all the employees do wonderful jobs, we love and always request Ms. Vi! I am especially particular when it comes to acrylic nails; I can always trust this nail salon to give me very cute nails that last for a while. The longest I’ve had my nails was 5 weeks! Court H Love the results, but they change the prices every time for what you get. I went from $45 to $55 for the same nail type / shape and they can never be consistent… the first time it was “short” the second time it was “long” even though I asked for short. They verbally told me a price before beginning then added to it at the end… again, wonderful quality but I hate the back and forth. I’d happily pay the price if that’s what was on the menu or something that I’ve been told upfront. At this point it’s just the principle that’s the issue.

Taylor Greene Unfortunately disappointed with our experience. My daughter and I both got pedicures and full sets. I asked for powder french tip but the lady did shellac. And apparently deep french tip which I didnt even know what that was but was charged an extra $10 for. Nails are super uneven paint wise, thickness, and length. Initially I was just frustrated with my nails but got home and noticed, toes were painted horribly and my daughters nails are spotty and acrylic is uneven. The man at the front offered to redo my nails but unfortunately we already spent 2 hours there and had somewhere to be and I work 6 12hr shifts starting tomorrow. Meltem Ekren Came in on July 3, 2024, around 6 PM, walk-in. LEFT WITH CHEMICAL BURNS. I visited this nail salon for the first time to have my nails and toes done. I began with a pedicure, then "Kay" came over to do my nails. I showed her a picture of oval nails with French tips. She started by quickly gluing on the nails and began shaping them. After she finished my first hand, I politely mentioned, "I actually wanted them more round." Suddenly, she became defensive. Despite my relaxed demeanor and approach, she was argumentative and completely dismissed me, arguing that "round" and "oval" are not the same. Oval is a rounded shape, not pointed like a stiletto, which is what she was creating. However, the real issue was her terrible attitude. My issue with nail technicians is this: if youre unable to perform a certain style, just be upfront about it. Theres no need to dismiss clients or make them feel inadequate for commenting on the service theyre receiving. I informed her that I didnt want her to continue and asked her to remove the nails. She then submerged both hands in a bowl of acetone. When she finally finished, my hands came out with chemical burns all over them. She softened her stance after seeing the damage and apologized for the burns, but it was too late. I explained everything to the receptionist, but he too was defensive. Although he apologized, he showed no real sincerity or remorse for the situation. I wont be returning, but I hope my review can serve as a warning for others who may be swayed by positive reviews, as I was. I urge you to CHOOSE A DIFFERENT SALON. This experience was exceptionally bad; also contrary to what the receptionist implied, I am experienced with acetone and nail treatments (I do nails myself and have been getting it done for years), and I’ve never had such bad burns in my life. This place should be ashamed of the service they provided and the harm done to my hands.

Karen Jones I needed a refill and the powder was really dark. They said I could get clear powder, then shellac paint. Next refill, I can go light or dark without having to remove the entire color. I also got a pedicure even though it’s winter. I really enjoyed my experience at Oasis.

D A Black I wish I could rate higher but the service was just ok. I was a walk-in and was quickly seen. The attendant started to work on my feet immediately and even offered me a beverage several times. Wax was involved in my service. Normally the dead skin is buffed off before wax, I thought. I had to ask for my feet to be buffed- the job she did was not good at all. If my toes weren’t painted I would have thought I had not had a pedicure. I even have a cut on my cuticle. When she was rubbing alcohol to clean my nail bed, I mentioned that it stung and that I must have a cut. I was dismissed and told that she didn’t cut me.

During pedicures, other employee kept asking my sister if she wanted "gel or shellac," to which my sister responded "I want whatever the colors are of the samples you gave me. She asked my sister this 6 times. I clearly told the girl working with me that I wanted regular color for both hands and feet, she handed me the samples (not much to choose from.) As she was mid way through my pedicure she asks again about the color , so I show her. She says ,"Those are shellac." I reminded her that I wanted regular color, and I chose based on what she handed me to select from. It all got worse from there. They still hadnt started our manicures except for my sister (manager kelly started with her), and other customers were coming in who they were starting with. I told her to forget it I didnt want color and I was not going to do my hands. When it came time to pay Kelly tries to charge me $5 for removing previous color off my toes. DONT THINK SO She charged my sister $15 *4 for shellac (she paid for 3rd person mani pedi) At no time did they ever disclose extra charge or explain/clarify what kind of polish was being used(remember she kept asking gel or shellac). I could go on...u get the picture DISHONEST BUSINESS HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE

Shima Azimi First time here and Mimi did such a great job on my nails! Her attention to detail and patience is amazing. Im a very picky person and she was very patient with me. Shes also relevantly quick. Prices are great- for a refill + design I paid $65. You can truly tell she cares about her clients and the way the nails turn out. Im glad I found a place close to home and dont have to make a 20 minute commute to Sugar Land anymore.

Angie Farish, Realtor I had a fantastic experience at this nail salon. It was my first time going there. I usually go to another nail salon that gets super busy on the weekends. So I thought I would try a new one this time. They took me in without an appointment but I called ahead to make sure there was someone available. I had the dip powder with extensions and a classic pedicure. I had the R124 color and loved it. The ladies were super nice and gentle. They don’t rush you call and they are very personable. All the staff seems to get along very well. It feels like they are very comfortable around each other. It’s a cozy, quiet, and relaxing salon with very nice people. I will definitely be coming back.

The prices are great so that’s why they get 3 stars . We brought our own polish since I’ve had bad experiences using salon ones . Star was taken off since my tech seemed to miss the sides of ALL my nails with the top coat . This made the nail look uneven and blotchy. We didn’t even notice until we already gone .Probably will just return if I need a quick clean up but will paint nail’s myself . My mom’s nails were also kind of blotchy and uneven . I’m sure it wasn’t my polishes either since I’ve used them at home and other salons and the look is way better .

I went in for a refill they charged me $35.00 just to cut nails shorter and only apply clear nail polish. No manicure it was just a refill. Had a pedicure, also not good. Don’t waste your time or money here. Quality of service is the poorest for this area.Had a full set done last year and I had nails break everyday and when I went the next day to get fixed they get angry at you file and redo nails in such a bad mood and still charge you.

Ivana Prochazka My fiance and I got our nails manicured and pedicured here yesterday. I also got dip powder. Three women helped us and they did an excellent job. I chose the hot stone massage with their regular pedicure. Im not sure if it was more expensive than the hot towel honestly but it was nice. We really enjoyed our visit. Sadly, I wore the wrong shoes and ruined my toe polish. They did have foam sandals for me to wear after but I had to stop by a store on the way home and switched shoes. I hadnt realized it wasnt completely dry. This was by fault of my own and I would have tried to come back if I had time before my trip. Natalie did my dip powder and she was very sweet. I was very pleased with my nails. The other two ladies were kind too but I wasnt able to get their names unfortunately.

They are usually pretty good about taking you in on time if you scheduled in advance and from my own experience, they don’t rush to get you out. They take the time to do a good job on your hands and feet the massage is pretty good at the end of mani-pedi. Pretty clean and prices are reasonable. Overall, a good place to get yourself pampered.

Nadia Alva I’ve been here many times before. I heard owners changed and I have noticed the difference. I came in today and the girl did my nails in a hurry. They are super thick and messy. I did let them know and they kind of fixed them. I asked her for square round and she did squared. I asked her to fix it, she did. But that did make them shorter than I originally wanted because she filed them again because she didn’t listen the first time. Then she did the acrylic super thick, didn’t file it down and didn’t clean the inside underneath of the nail. She was in a rush to go do her coworkers nails. I told Nancy and the guy at the register I wanted it cleaned up cuz it was messy and sloppy, The other lady there came and fixed. Neither him or the girl Nancy seem concerned or say anything to me. She was more concerned about doing the other employees nails. He and the girl Nancy that did my nails and the other staff just congregated at the other station talking and laughing while she worked on the other ladies nails. He didn’t seem at all concerned. Customer service was great when Tracy was here. Now it’s just blah, like any other salon. The pics are after they fixed them up. The bottom had a lot of residue from the acrylic before.

The atmosphere is wonderful and the purple walls in line with the Lavender theme are very easy on the eyes. Every member of the staff are friendly and inviting. The work ethic and attitude of any individual you come across inside the locatio is top notch. Today both my wife and myself had manicure and pedicure treatments done. Every little step of the way, the staff had smiles on their faces and did their best to interract with us. This place js a full step ahead of the competition with their level of customer service. This was my first of many trips to come. Rates are more than fair but with the kind of service they provide is cream of the crop.

The last few times I didnt get my feet done because every time Ive done them before Im not pleased because they use tools like cutting vegetables or something. Ive already told many of my complaints and I always end up with the same conclusion that they dont listen to the customers concerns. because some people may like to have so much skin burned or removed that they later need it, but not me. The nails are done more decently, although they could charge less for something basic.

After she was done, there are small hairs on my nail from the brush I’m guessing but I ignored that because they’re about to close up so I didn’t want to take up their time and now I’m going on day three with these nails gel polishes are already chipping . Hayley Karati Nail Technician had a very simple full set that was suppose to be round shape basic acrylic full set no Polish just clear and the shaping and acrylic application was poorly done as you look at the photos you see the acrylic is overlapping on my skin and dips and dents in the laid acrylic. I was so irritated by this point that I was ready to leave. I decided to tip as a courtesy and wasn’t even offered hand cream or lotion. I will not go back to this nail salon and if you are Traveling in the Houston/Richmond area I do not recommend this business.

ashleigh sarkaria This is my second time to have a manicure and pedicure at Onyx. Its very close to my house- So, I really wanted to give them another chance. The staff is friendly and they have a lot of service options and colors. However, this is the second time my finger nail polish has chipped and peeled right off on the first day. My first visit- the polish peeled right off- like it was a sticker within hours of leaving. Today, I went in around 10:30 am, and by the evening my nails had chipped so bad that Ill have to remove the polish completely. Im not sure if this is a quality issue with the polish they use or the application technique. Both times I didnt receive a base coat. Im not hard on my nails- I was extra careful this time. I dont expect regular polish to last longer than a few days- but not even a full day is problematic. My pedicure lasted the standard time for my last pedicure. So far, the polish on my toes looks fine. I just cant recommend manicures- and after this experience- I wont be returning. I am a repeat customer and I’m giving it 2 star because My daughter got her nails painted and less than 24 hours the nail polish came off of on three fingernails. Back story I’m a guy who knows nothing about getting nails done/painted. I usually get A pedicure/detox. I took my daughter here for her birthday and I told the tech to put gel on her hand Because that’s what I remember my wife always getting because it last longer But she proceeded to put it on her feet instead, and when I told her that I prefer it to be on her hand and she assured to me that It should be fine and it would last at least two weeks on her hand without the gel. I went in A couple of hours after they opened and explain the situation, and they told me that they cannot guarantee a repaint If the paint comes off and they told me that I would have to pay $7 dollars to get it repainted an additional $12 to put the gel on her fingers. I have no issue paying that amount of money but it’s the principle behind it that I do not agree with. I’d like to add that I do not want the tech to get in trouble because she did a really good job and she was extremely nice but I’d like the company to take accountability for the action of their employees

Seyi Adeboye I visited Astoria nails yesterday and I got a manicure and pedicure done. Firstly, I must say the ambiance was not what I expected for a nail salon and I was pleasantly surprised. I really felt like a QUEEN in a palace. Secondly, the customer service was excellent and my nail technician did an amazing job . I would definitely be returning back and referring my family and friends.

Shelle G Cindy is my favorite. I have been coming here since 2017. I came here when I was going through chemo and Cindy kept my nails safe and I never had any issues with them. Everyone is always attentive and Patrick makes coming here a pleasant experience. I love how pretty my nails look no matter what color I choose. Always perfect! This is not a paid review like the other person said. I have been going to Cindy for 7 years and I am just now writing a review. I get DIP and pedicures here. My daughters get shellac and acrylic nails. We have never had an issue with our nails. I found a wonderful nail tech - Cindy and I stick to her for my finger nails. Michelle

Andrea Sortomme **FIRST you should know that all these 5 star reviews in the last couple months are PAID REVIEWS! They receive a discount for leaving a good review! It’s not authentic! This place is a rip off! This salon is an absolute joke. I’ve given them multiple chances after having several bad experiences and many other friends in the community sharing similar experiences at the salon. Sure, it’s clean and aesthetically, pleasing, however, the staff is incredibly rude and management is very poor. They make up their pricing as they go and find a way to justify charging outrageous prices that cannot be verified on their pricing sheet. I have had services where they have just completely rushed through and left off an entire parts of the service. The quality is also extremely inconsistent. Sometimes they will do a decent job other times you’re regretting what you paid for leaving very unhappy and they are very reluctant to fix or correct anything. The women in the front have an awful attitude and are very rude. There is one woman who has short hair and seems like she absolutely hates her job and is just awful to customers. I have never in my life, experienced an argumentative staff. Anytime you question or ask for a breakdown of your services they get defensive immediately and say the techs make their own prices. I paid $100 for a builder gel fill with NO CHANGE to my existing shape or length (which they said cost an extra $30). Mind you , my length is not long at all.

Maria Rodriguez My first time coming to this place which seemed nice and quiet BUT when I tell you guys I been robbed, I’ve been robbed! I’m 30…plus years old and been doing my nails by professional techs since I was young(er).. and NEVER had I paid so much for something so simple. I didn’t want to cause a scene…knowing myself, I would have went completely left..so here I am venting….$114 with a “10% discount” bringing my total to $104… and then.. I tipped, yes.. I know…stupid.. but I tipped $6.00. Wow.. I’m seriously upset and disappointed in those folks there. This amount is for my coffin, medium length ombré with gold flake trims.. a set worth no more than MAYBE 60 bucks!! Lord Jesus!!

Anh Tuan Nguyen Always an amazing job Kay & Tim is so sweet and attentive. I recommend asking for her shell take good care of you. . The facility is beyond gorgeous. It’s very modern and clean. (NA) is the best nail technician I’ve ever had. He does things in his process that I’ve never seen any other technician do. THEY CARE & take the time to make sure you’re getting what you came for. Mackenzie Galdamez The past couple times I have came I had no problems, however this visit today was HORRIBLE. After today, Im not wasting my $$ at this salon again period. To begin with, I came in for a mani & pedi. Front desk asked how long & if I wanted a design for my mani.. which I found weird because they had never asked me that before, especially before even taking a seat in the chair. Once I sat in the chair, the lady who did my pedi was great. However, the lady doing my mani was questionable. The way she was managing my nails felt like she had barely any experience.. she cut me a few times with the filer then right after burned me with the acetone when applying the nails (again, weird because I have NEVER seen anyone put acetone before glueing.) , she asked me how long I wanted them & once I showed her the length, she just snipped away without making sure they were the same length. I didnt questioned anything during the visit since Im not the professional. She didnt even bother to dust off the residue off my hands throughout the WHOLE process so I had dust all over me. For 1 1/2hrs she did not once asked if I wanted a water or anything. I ended up spending $132 just for my left hand nails to be a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LENGTH to my right. Best believe I got my refund! Which they try scamming me too for that. They were telling me I had to pay for my toes again in order to get a refund. Make that make sense.

No wait time regardless if apt made or not they will seat you in a actual chair and give expectancy time 2. Very Clean , organized many many selections in any type of nails 3.Offers beverages with massages throughout your visit 4. Children friendly, although many of us like to be in a nail salon without children I’ve taken my 7 &8 year old who are well behaved , I expected that I would be frowned apon ans skimped on with their treatment but no still treated respectfully and offerd all equil services . This was a bonus to me to have my children treated right because at the end of the day a well behaved person is still going to pay for the services receaved ans they were well receaved 5. Don’t come for me for this one but they treat each other fair with tips I see many places show favoritism ans give more to others and they split in their cubbies evenly I would assume because all around everyone is nice and does great 6.They program your info into a i pad that keeps record of prev service so that you don’t have to remember colors you have chosen , and they have insensitive for discounts after so many appointments

Ali This place is amazing. When you go with a group of people - they actually SEAT YOU TOGETHER!!! My mom and sister and i went here before my wedding and their work on our nails was IMPECCABLE. Absolutely perfect and the nail techs were so nice and fun. This is the only place I go. My sister in law had her first pedicure ever here and LOVE IT!

Tiffany Moppin I am on my third visit in 6 days to correct the $75 nails I received. My first appointment was 6pm on a Thursday and was far from what I wanted but there was no time left prior to closing to have them redone. I came 9am the next morning (Friday) to have them redone. On Tuesday (4 days later) one nail breaks and the tips now black vs gold. Tina Tong I always come to Modern Nails whenever Im in town. Cindy is by far the best nail tech Ive ever come across. I asked her to do a set of Astros nails and I couldnt have ask for a better nail tech to do it. Cindy did an amazing job, she got really creative and gave me a gorgeous set. Shes so attentive and pays attention to the little details that you want. Cindy and her staff are always welcoming when I come in. Such a friendly atmosphere I highly recommend them!

Lolo Best nail quality place Ive been to in the area or really ever. Their nails are always even and never pop off or break. The way they lay the powder down is perfection, never thick and ALWAYS even. My nails never lift, and I can wait 3-4 weeks for a refill. I just wish there was more than one or two ladies that did nail art/designs. I love the owner I always choose her to do my nails, but the other two Ive had do my nails give the same quality. The place is very clean and I will highly recommend them to anyone needing their nails done.

Tamika Blackwell First time I came here two years ago I said I wasn’t coming back. Nina was too pushy and the work was basic. However today my regular spot was full and wanted me to make an appointment. So I came here and the moment I walked through the door I remembered why I said don’t come back but I had my daughter with me. The place was empty. I had shellac nails but Nina kept pushing for me to get powder saying it was faster. So like an idiot I said yea and no it was not faster but definitely more expensive and I did not get a manicure with the powered nails. And the color did not match my toes. When checking out paying $150 she asked if I was adding a tip. REALLY. NOW this is the last time seriously. I do not recommend.

Kristin Scott Nice place and all technicians do a fine job. Victor is so good at manicures esp the dip. I keep gling back because they look great for weeks! Plus, they have a princess chair my daughter loves.

Ms. Kim was sweet and even asked if I wanted a design which I agreed to and opted for cute little hearts on both index fingers. It came out so cute and natural! My mom would definitely love it here. Angel Cross I walked in today and got a full powder set done by Vicky. The front end ladies were super nice when I came in for a walk-in! Vicky was so sweet and has been doing nails for a really long time! The space was nice and clean and they offer you beverages. I will definitely make an appointment to see Ms. Vicky again to do a refill or different design. My total cost was $60 before tip.

Esthi Beee This has been the worse nail experience I ever had. This is the second time at this salon. The first time I got a pedicure only with an acrylic tip. My toes were thick. Months went by and I was in a time crunch and didn’t have time to travel to my usual nail salon. Today I asked for a full set, I asked for the most experienced technician. I stated to the receptionist as well as the nail tech that I like a natural look. I showed them a inspo pic of the color shape and length I would like (2nd pic). After the tech (Amber) laid the acrylic I noticed it was extremely thick. I asked if it was a way for them to be filed down so they’re more natural looking and showed her my inspo pic yet again. The color is nowhere near the inspo pic but I didn’t mind because I was unable to find the exact color so I will take fault for leaving that to the tech to decide. After as I continue to look at the finish product (1st pic) while I finished my pedicure I hated my nails so much I was holding back tears. As stated prior I’m on a time crunch and have an even to go to. I told the receptionist I was not happy with my nails and I didn’t feel comfortable paying for them and stated I didn’t have time to get them redone. They said I would still be required to pay full price for my nails which were extremely lumpy and thick and uneven. I opt to have them fixed even though I know it would make me a little late for my event. Thomas was able to file my nails down to make them a bit more bearable even though I was left with no color on my nails at all. And still had to pay for a colored powder full set even though I do not have color on my nails at all. I left paying $99 for subpar nails. My toes are not cute either however they are bearable. I’ll never come here again and would not recommend.

Lora Cotton Went to the Richmond TX location because it was inside Walmart and I KNEW would be accessible (due to broken ankle.) The gentleman, believe hes owner or manager did my nails (refill & shellac) and Ive never been happier. I told him I wanted something "festive" for the holidays and he responded that hed take care of me. When he was done, I was ELATED!! Hed done a simple double color (raspberry red with a red glitter top) with the ring finger nail being "plain" raspberry red with a hand drawn snowflake. It was simple, but beautiful!!!! Definitely recommend!

Kizzy Carsen The older lady is HORRIBLE! Shes rough when using the drill. She doesnt listen to the customers as in what they want. She ruined my coffin shaped nails. When I told her what shape I had and wanted to keep, she filed one hand down too short. I told her I was not satisfied. She said she would correct it however, shed already filed them down to where I could no longer have coffin shape. Now I have to go elsewhere for a soak-off and get an overlay. I REFUSE to ever go here again. 1 star was given only because of the young lady whos good at pedicures. Unfortunately its not good enough for me to EVER spend my money there again.

Jamie Jimenez Took my daughter so she could sit in the princess chair but nope it was "broken" Wanted to leave right away but my baby wanted her pedicure. The lady was RUDE that worked on me.!!!!! She had a customer come in and she rushed my pedicure. Only massaged my legs for maybe 2 minutes.  She already painted my toes so I told her no feet because the massage would have messed them up. Whos does the polish first??? So I paid $35.00 for a half pedicure with a 2 minute massage!!!! She then asked if I used lotion because my skins horrible! RUDE,RUDE,RUDE!! The one lady that worked on my daughter was very nice. She was older and took her time. Im glad she was nice because I just kept smiling so my baby would enjoy her time. Never again

Tiffany Wilmore I popped in just to get my toes polished. Of course I was upsaled, but I didn’t have time so just requested toes polished. The nail tech was not friendly toward me and proceeded to “skip” a step by not applying a base coat. When I corrected her, she said some customers don’t want a base coat, but she never asked if I was “that” customer. Overall, the experience was poor due to the lack of integrity and friendliness…2 stars is being generous and merciful…

xchubxyoda DON’T GO HERE. Destroyed my nails and told me it was my fault my nails were weak. Just look at these pictures. Never has a nail salon done this. And then to gaslight is crazy. Save your money, save your hygiene. Extremely disappointed. Hopefully this doesn’t turn into an infection. Not to mention everyone being rude.

Nyla Mitchell The absolute worse experience. From being asked every 5 seconds if I’d picked my color and having sample rings forced in my face in every color except the color I said I was looking for, to arguing with me (literal yelling) about the shape I wanted my toenails filed in and how my toes are actually not crooked, to refusing to allow the the friend I came with to sit close to me for our nail service. The gentleman who did my nails was polite- my nails are flat (without apex) and poorly done, but he was pleasant. However the lady who did the pedicure- took everything I could do to not lose my temper, and even with me speaking calmly she insisted on interrupting me and yelling. At one point she even started discussing my service with another patron to prove her point and I had to very firmly address her inappropriateness which of course led to the very cliche language switch and chuckles amongst the staff. I was wondering how they had no line or wait on a Saturday morning- now I know. Their quality is inferior, if you want matching nails and toes the color selection is limited, and their attitudes are horrendous.

Victoria Sledz Tina did my pedicure today with a bonus design on my big toes. It’s been a while since I’ve had a design on my toe but for $5.00 it was worth the extra bling. The shop was very clean despite being busy. Service was great! I’ll return soon.

Meilyn Charge 55$ for only 25 minutes of service, even not providing bottled water. Lying about the service items. I have been to many nails stores. This one is the worst one ever. When I saw the review is so low, I should not go inside this store. Such a bad experience with full of lies and the person even made my feet bleeding without apologies. Rather than providing 1 hour service, only 25 minutes and still ask me for 55$. Such a ridiculous nail place.

Skylar Spring My friends and I came here for a girls date to get pedicures and we were pleased. This establishment was very cleanly,clean, and the workers used new tools on our feet! The only con I have about this place is the pricing for pedicures, if I’m paying $25 dollars for a pedicure it would be nice to scrub the calluses off our feet.
