Wendy Reyes I went in to get a perm my hair was halfway to my back in length, she looked at my hair and did the perm, once finished she said oh no you have highlights? She should have seen that so it didn’t hold the perm, I came back and she wanted to reperm my hair even though it was all dead and breaking off I said no, so she trimmed off the dead about 3 inches, I went to tnt to get my hair olaplex treatment and the lady showed me how bad she layered my hair was completely jagged, I had to pay 100 dollars for treatment and for another haircut, so I lost a few inches for nothing in the process. I’m beyond mad.

Gabrielle Guzman Booked here for my mom to get her hair & makeup done and they did an amazing job! Her hair and makeup lasted all night! The owner was so nice and made us feel so welcomed. I highly recommend this place.

G Guerra Virgin hair is now so fried that it crumbles. I have hardly no hair left after going here. They don’t pay attention when they are doing your hair because they are too busy talking in the break room. If you want to be left with no hair go there.

Isac Sargento This place isn’t that great as it use to be one of the older lady’s charged me an additional fee after I asked if she could just do a clean up no trim which took 10 or so minutes after seeing my cut I asked if she could do a low fade as I wasn’t sure how to go about letting my hair grow and was curious about just getting a clean up she said okay but didn’t mention an extra charge if anything I heard that she wouldn’t charge me. My tapered fade wasn’t all that great and I wasn’t the judge of it I heard it all day from relatives to know I paid $30ish dollars for a haircut that I could’ve gotten at the chinos for a third of the price HILARIOUS they favor returns so don’t be surprised if some random person skips you because you are a new face to them

Double ii Miike Over charging everyone for a haircut any other barber can do !!! Paid $20 bucks for a cheap looking haircut! Thought if they’d charge a lot they would be good, I was wrong !!! Don’t cut your hair here if you want a bootlegged haircut then this is the place for you

Veronica Gonzalez Walked in, waited. One stylist asked the one that wasnt busy if she wanted to do/ take my daughters hair....she said no, she was leaving for the day. Another customer walks in a few minutes later and she took him instead. Never again will I stop by there. If I could I would of given them negative stars..

Alyssa C They overcharge for poor work. I showed one of the workers a reference photo and she said “low fade” and I trusted her, because for $20 you’d think she knew what she was doing. She then proceeded to shave the sides of my head all the way to the temple bald. She left long hairs everywhere and my bangs are too short. Wasn’t even worth $10. Never going again.

mimi45 mimi “jiminBTS” They need to learn how to cut long hair/girl hair cuts. They only know hot to cut men’s styles and when i went i asked for SEE THROUGH bangs and they did the opposite by giving me thick straight bangs. I even showed the lady a pic of what i wanted and she looked unsure of it, i felt that she was doing it wrong as i’ve watched lots of videos on how to cut the see through bangs so i should have left the chair but whatever,NEED MORE EXPERIENCE CUTTING LONG HAIR

Chris Eliasson Truly enjoyed the lady who cut my hair. Very friendly, very nice, and I got a good haircut. It was a little different, but I really like it. I will be a return customer. My husband really really liked the style.

Jasmin Muñoz Edit: I was told on their Instagram account that there was availability at 10am but the salon was not even open, even though their posted hours say otherwise. I was not informed about the deposit and the policy is not listed on fb or Instagram. I called their phone number multiple times and it would go straight to voice-mail. There was no reply all day until I posted this review at almost 11pm, definitely lost a client. Ive gotten haircuts here before and scheduled to get a balayage today at 10:00am. I got there at 9:50 and waited until 10:30 and nobody showed up. Very unprofessional to say you have openings at 10am and the salon is not even open. Never coming here again.

sara gaitan I was able to do a walk-in with Janelle, since she had a sudden cancellation. She was so nice and did a great job on my hair! I will definitely come back to her for any of my hair needs.

Jay Gutierrez I do not recommend this salon due to their unprofessional customer service. I have gotten my hair done by the owner (Karen) she talks about every client after they leave and get their service done. They also over process the hair to their desire and tell you your hair is or was already damaged. Please avoid this salon.

A Jimenez Horrible experience! The owner over processed my hair and gave me an uneven balayage which had to be corrected by an actual PROFESSIONAL salon! Please avoid coming to Meraki Salon unless you want to look like a carrot.

Linda Almazan I went here for a simple cut , wanted medium length hair and walked out with hair that is so short up to my neck. I had showed her up to where I wanted my hair but I guess in the process of her cutting it she just kept going higher and higher and when I went home my hair was so ugly. I cant even style my natural curls anymore. I have to straighten it every day .

Alejandro Rodriguez The service was horrible. I waited my my father for 30 minutes waiting for a hair cut even tho there were 3 people there and only 1 was working and they were slow and constantly on there phones. I would never come back here again

Anna Diaz Worst place service imaginable. I have came different times with different people (friends or my mom) each time I came theres only one person because everyone was out. Today I brought my daughter whose 4 years old to get a hair cut. The hair cut costed $15 even though the sign says 13. It tool 20 minutes to even get a hair stylist even though the salon was empty. Then the lady is on her phone instead of cutting my childs hair. It took an hour to leave the place although my kid "hair cut" was just cutting the tips. Im never coming here again and dont recommend it.

Teresa Hines Jose did an amazing job. Fit me in at the last minute. He did exactly what I asked for and went above and beyond my expectations. Color is beautiful the cut is awesome. Cant say enough great things. Hes just awesome! Ive finally found my stylist ❤️️

Elisa Rodriguez I showed a picture to him exactly what I wanted and he did only half of what I asked. I realized when I got home that he did not even show me how the back of my hair looked like and now I know why, because he did not do anything to it. When I messaged him in regards to it he was just like I do not want to do business with you. Instead of trying to fix it, he is just the worst, so unprofessional. He is just ripping people off for their money. So watch out before giving your money to him.

Cassandra Garza He mixed personal with business. At first Jose is friendly with you, after you get in a little disagreement he turns on you. The last time Jose put in my extensions he kept a few of them, because my hair didnt need anymore at the time. I trusted that he would keep them safe. After a few months Jose had started an argument with 2 of my aunts, because they asked for an appointment and literally took a week to get back at them. Of course my aunts scheduled with someone else, because no one has the time to wait on someone whos going to leave them on read. After he messaged them they both told him that they no longer needed the appointment. These were Joses exact words: If youre going with someone else dont even bother coming back to my chair. At this point Jose still had my extensions, because I personally couldnt get a hold of him. These extensions are over $80-100. After MONTHS I was finally able to get a hold of him, and politely asked for my extensions back. Jose took the liberty in tossing them out, because according to him, "since the drama your aunt caused, I knew you werent coming back and tossed them out either way they were only 3." Jose had more than 3 of my extensions and they were nearly a whole pack. Keep in mind that each pack costs about $80-100 and I had to buy 6-7 packs for my hair . That was a total of about $600-700. Plus the $250-300 he charged to put them in, get my hair the same exact color(which is my natural hair color) and trim it, & thats because my hair is shorter than shoulder length. Be smart ladies and go with someone who doesnt get you involved and throws or messes your things up, because of the drama he started. Plus, every time he would do my hair, he was always high and going for "smoke breaks" or just walking out. Responding to Jose’s comment: As I stated: I tried to get in contact with you and you would reply when you felt like it and would change convos. There doesn’t have to be any agreement made verbal or otherwise when you were the one who initially told me: “leave these here and when one of them falls out I’ll have them ready. Don’t worry I’ll kept them safe.” Like I said, it’s called a text message or a call to pick them up, because of your own issues. “You’re taking this personal” of course I am! You didn’t pay for my extensions, I DID. That was my money, NOT YOURS. My decision to make if i wanted to throw them out, NOT YOURS. Like I said in our text messages: the day you pay for my stuff is the day you have the right to throw them away. And you very clearly said, “I threw them out because of the drama with your aunt.” I don’t see where that includes me anywhere or why you decide to mess with my things when I had no problems with you. & “dragging your name through the mud” honey, you did that yourself when you decided to mix personal with business. You say you run this business professionally, but what I see you do most of the time as well as what I’ve heard from your other clients is you take it personal. A professional shouldn’t be bringing in drama & mixing it with his work. With that being said, you have a great day sweetie. :)

Christina Welch I was looking for a new stylist and came across J Rod a few times on a Beauty group I’m in on Facebook. I went to his app to schedule an appt and received an email stating that my appt was in review and I would be contacted shortly. That was on 3/26/2021. Today I still haven’t received an approval for my appt that was supposed to be on 4/6/2021. So I messaged him on messenger and received an automated response to email or text to get in touch with him. So I opted to text and introduced myself and ket him know what I why I was contacting him. See his response below. To tell you I was floored by his response is an understatement. I don’t understand how he feels its ok to respond this way to a potential new client. So unprofessional and uncalled for. I was just wanting to know if my appt was approved since it was coming up shorty. Needless to say I will be taking my business elsewhere. I am trying to post the screenshots of our conversation so nothing is miss construed. Hopefully they post. This person is extremely rude!! My message did not warrant his response.
