Kabina Kennels I had a extended stay here at Solara for about 40 days. For sepsis, partial amputation rehab and c diff. The hospital is clean and modern. The nursing staff, employees and techs are attentive, friendly and very good at their jobs. As a woman of 61 I have been in the hospital many times but this was the absolute best experience I ever had. I highly recommend the hospital. If ever needed again this is where I will be coming or where I will recommend my family go.

Simona Sanchez My mom was at this place and we have nothing to say but positive things. The nurses, wound care nurses, and all the staff was excellent. They treated my mom with respect, they were super nice to her and care so much for her well being. Also Estela the cleaning lady was super nice to my mom and to all of us she treated us like if we were her family. So if youre looking for a place to take your family member to finish healing this is the place. Thank you to all the Solara team for everything you all did for my mom, keep up the great work

Juan Montelongo The staff at this hospital is superbly competent, ethical, proficient and exceptional at their trade filled with professionalism. My stay at Solara Harlingen felt like an all inclusive resort in some tropical foreign land. The staff from doctors that tend to their patients at Solara were also great and very informative and empathetic to all my needs. All hands were very well informed about tasks regardless of what it was. I’m giving a 5 star to Solara Harlingen for a job well done.

Ruthi Hedge From the surgical team to the care givers in all departments. Everyone genuinely cared about my experience; no one was too busy to answer a question. Specifically the Anesthesia team knew that I was a singer and they did what they could to preserve the integrity of my vocal cords… Thank You and Bless You all.

Brylin Springer My family experienced a great loss on March 6, 2025. My grandfather was rushed into the emergency room by my grandmother and passed not 20 minutes later. Our family lives 6+ hours away from them, so we’re unable to be there when this happened. The staff in the emergency room will remain heroes to my family. They treated my grandmother with so much professionalism, care, respect, empathy, and kindness. Words will never fully explain the gratitude that my family owes these heroes. She sat and mourned the loss of her husband of 55 years for 3+ hours without ever a nasty glare, hurrying encouragement, or even a rush. She was able to say goodbye to him one final time and even though I’m sure it inconvenienced the staff and their duties- they never let it show. Truly from the bottom of my heart, whom ever was working that night, thank you. You allowed an old woman to say her final goodbyes, and hugged her tightly while we rushed to be there. You are forever heroes to the Springer family.

Donna Garcia I would like to thank Veronica and Oscar in the ER for taking great care of my father. They had exceptional bedside manner and explained everything that was going on in detail to where we could understand. They always made themselves available for questions and came in to check on my dad often. They did not appear rushed even though the ER was full. I would like to express my gratitude for the dedication and compassion.

Miguel Guillen While it was a long wait, all of the staff took my concerns seriously, and they were ready to help. Luckily, though, it wasnt anything serious, and even knowing there was nothing wrong with me, the doctor and the staff were very compassionate. They even gave me a very warm blanket when they noticed i was cold! That was greatly appreciated. Overall, this was a good experience, and i feel like the staff was very professional and they made sure multiple times that there was nothing wrong with me.

Leeann Salinas Worse staff ever. They wont help me for anything! I came in from a hospital check up. They just told me the same thing the hospital did. They didnt do an urine test or ultrasound to see if im pregnant still. Since just finding out im 5 weeks & 5 days. I came into see if i can get my restrictions paperwork for work. An they said i had to wait until Friday to get a restriction paperwork so i can wait until then to see a doctor. Im annoyed how these people don’t help or do anything for pregnant people. Worse place ever

Saul Alvarez My mom got her blood drawn here and they screwed it up! My mom’s arm is swollen, tender, in pain, and weak now. We’re getting a second opinion at another doctor right now because we don’t trust the doctor’s instructions at this terrible clinic.

Francisco Barrera Highly not recommended. First off the front desk office clerks in adult medicine are rude and play God. I cant even say their name because their name tags are always turned around! A clear sign of a people who do not take responsibility or accountability! I can describe her- She is the woman in charge for appointments under Dr. Bhalta and has short black hair & wears glasses. Shes snarky and mean & unpleasant. They never smile or make you feel welcomed. Seems they dont enjoy their job & if they are so overwhelmed or stressed out , maybe it would be a good idea for them to hire more staff or take some time to recuperate so they can handle their jobs better and treat patients with kindness and respect. Dr. Ana Alonso Ramirez is extremely unprofessional and abuses her position! She used a patient s phone to call the patients family member and inquire about something the patient had already spoken to her about. What kind of doctor calls a patients family member with the patients phone crossing a boundary of privacy for the patient???! In an extreme move of control this doctor scares me in what she feels she can do, making me very uncomfortable. Dr. Bhalta is a whole other story. Have had problems with her as well. Tried calling thier management and to no avail there has been no return call backs, proving this clinic covers up for their staff instead of correcting them and apologizing to the patient and their families! In a time like this , in a world facing hardship and uncertainty, you would think you count count on & trust the very people for seeing your care and health. That alone is a big stressor making it more difficult to manage getting help and taking care of yourself. Whats worse and most definitely so devestating is that this clinic is deemed as a low income facility. It isnt so easy to go somewhere else because a lot of people are struggling and do not have the financial means to do so. They dont care or understand and are not compassionate or have any sympathy and that is a cause for concern because it is not right to treat people that way & I pray to God that they do better!

raquel portillo I left work as best I could to take my son to the clinic because he has a bad foot and the nurses an hour before closing today, Sunday, told me that they were going to see if it was possible because it was already closing time, closing time is 4:30 They did not want to treat my son because the doctors no longer wanted to treat anyone and they had said what a bad service I will change clinics

M. Juarez My son does not come here anymore. After my visit, I was told to wait to be called by CPS office for no odd reason but to find a way to know about my personal business outside of clinic appointment. Why would a clinic have a space office for CPS?

Hennessy Nicole Not sure why this place has low ratings, ive been here 3 times with Priscilla Velazquez and never had any trouble. The front staff is always polite and helpful, and ive always gotten a call back if the call wasnt answered as long as you leave your information! And dr Priscilla herself is very informative and attentive to your concerns ! I love her sm shes awesome. Lab work was also fast and easy thankfully, other places have left me bruised before but not here.

Ginny Fite These folks are trying SO hard. I started not feeling well on Friday, but wasn’t able to get an appointment. So I called Monday. Same thing. The woman who answered the phone was very very kind, I just was hoping she would be able yo do something to get me an appointment. By the afternoon I was convinced I had a sinus infection so I called back. I had to leave my number, but was a bit leary about doing that, as this hadn’t worked at other offices. Anyway, Olga called me back (after 5:00pm!) and set me up with telemedicine the next day. What a God-send she was! The next day I received the call from Crystal (I think) while walking my dog and she offered to call me back in 30 minutes. It all went well when she called me back, she even tried to get me on the phone with Oscar right away. He was too busy, so that didn’t work. He called me very shortly there after, got all the details and by early in the afternoon I was able to take my 1st dose of antibiotics! Thank you all for how hard you are working trying to help me. Have a blessed holiday season. Ginny Fite

NARZ HERNANDEZ Dr. Torkelson is amazing but the clerical staff? No one answers calls. They don’t return calls. They don’t confirm appointments. I have to go in person just to speak to someone. I miss the staff at Family Practice. It’s just not the same anymore.

Andrea Rodriguez I have been waiting for my results for over two weeks. Was told VB was short on radiologists. They put in a STAT order to get my results. I was told my appt would be at 12:15 today. Was text FIVE mins before my appointment saying my insurance was not up to date with them. Five mins before. So I called my ins to change my pcp. Called about 6 times before finally getting a hold of someone and was told I would be called soon with my results. Well it’s now 5pm and was not called. Horrible service.

Albert Paredes The doctors will not provide a referral to physical therapy simply because my wife was involved in a car accident and there is pending ligitation through the insurance. She is not being treated by them; she simply needs a referral to a physical therapist where she had previously been referred to by Sesame Family Clinic. And their legal counsel called and told us they will not provide a referral. Worst clinic in the Valley. They don’t care about her pain or health issues. And Velasquez is the worst one of them all; she never addressed any of her issues even though my wife is a cancer survivor.

Jada Molina I am extremely disappointed with the services at this clinic. I switched from my previous doctor due to distance, but I’d rather make the drive than continue here. I have low iron deficiency , and over the summer, the doctor prescribed supplements. However, it took over a month to receive the medication, despite my repeated calls. Each time, I was told it was being sent, but it never happened. I had to move to San Antonio due to work & I still didn’t have my medication, and my mother had to go in person to remind them that I needed my prescription because I was feeling unwell without the supplements. Recently, I injured my toes and called on Wednesday to schedule an urgent appointment due to the pain and bleeding. I was told they had no availability and was advised to go to the ER. After the ER visit, I called again to schedule a follow-up, and they finally gave me an appointment for Friday at 8 AM. I called at 8:03 to inform them I was running 8–10 minutes late, but they refused to see me, claiming their grace period is only five minutes. In the past, I had been told the grace period was 15 minutes, yet they insisted it had always been five. I found this very frustrating, especially since I had previously arrived 10 minutes late without issue. To make matters worse, they prioritized walk-ins over my appointment and told me to reschedule for Monday. I’ve been dealing with pain and bleeding since Tuesday, and I’m worried about infection, yet this clinic has shown no consideration for my situation. I’ve now changed doctors & they’re gonna see me today with no issue since they understand the urgency of the situation. P.S. This review has nothing to do with the PA; it’s solely about the administrative issues at the clinic. Dr. Brenda is super sweet and caring about her patients. Also, as a full-time student with a part-time job, I cannot afford to be absent or request days off from work, which makes this experience even more frustrating.

Alexia Tijerina I have been going to this clinic for the past three years and I have nothing but great things to say. They always have appointments available within a couple of days and the one time I needed a walk-in appointment for stomach poisoning they were very quick to help me because I have been a pre-existing patient. The providers I’ve had have been nothing but kind and honest with any condition or illness I’ve had (stomach bug, back pain, mental health, tendonitis, pre-diabetes, weight loss issues, pap smear, and even the common cold) They give great referrals and are my first choice for all my medical needs!

Carlos Torres Worst place to go dont go of your dying .they will tell you you need an appointment for everything.head to emergency room faster than this place.they can never help out with small things never going here again .as a local edinburg resident its a shame to have this place as our local clinic. Wish I could rate negative stars they deserve it

Dafne Ortíz I think this clinic is good for preventive services, since there is no appointments at same day when getting sick, however personnel is attentive, I was impressed how fast was the process, I was expecting to wait longer to be attended by physician, but it was the opposite, Physician Guerra is super nice and attentive, she helped me out with my medical conditions and referrals. Take an opportunity if you need preventive services or follow ups.

David Lindenmuth This clinic is a throwback to the days when you would have a physician see you and take their time with you rather than hurry in and out in a couple of minutes. All the providers from Doctor Gomez through the intake staff to the PAs are top notch and very attentive. I brought my entire family to them after my last primary physician retired and have been very satisfied with them over the years. I have noticed others complain about not being able to get an appointment when sick, and though I can empathize with them, this is because the providers at the clinic are not hurrying through their scheduled appts. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who wants thorough and attentive care.
