Martha Mendez Called to get a prescription filled for my 91 year-old mother. The automated system says to call the pharmacy or log into patient portal for refills. The pharmacy said they need a new prescription for the meds before they can be refilled. Logged into the patient portal, and the system said "Unable to login. Please try again at another time." So I called the office and left a message. Thankfully, I am able to be my mothers advocate. How do seniors, some with limited tech skills and no one to advocate for them, navigate this rodeo?

Gary Webster This place is a total waste of time! The wife had a terrible time trying to make an appointment. The office said they would call to confirm it, we received no call. On the day of the penciled, unconfirmed appointment, we tried to call the office again without any luck. We arrived at 1.40 for the penciled in 1.45 appointment, which was the first one after their lunch break. We paid our copay and sat down. 40 minutes later, the wife asked how long it would be, the response was stunning, "it is usual for the doctors to be 30 minutes to an hour late on appointments because of overrun from previous patients. When I asked how that was possible as we were to first appointment after their lunchbreak? The very rude receptionist then snapped, "we are a specialist clinic. I am not sure what that has to do with our appointment. In my oppinion, THESE PEOPLE SIMPLY DO NOT CARE!

Brian I am very disappointed with the new system for scheduling! They moved my appointment but changed my Doctor? Then when I called to verify appointment, it was a different Dr and he was not even in today! Wanted to see if appointment for Friday with Dr Farra they said it was already full so I could not see. Dr till the following week like it was no big deal!! I have had numerous tests do with no follow up, I am having issues and they do not seem to care . The appointment system is the worst! I have had a massive heart attack 9 years ago, having issues and had a number of expensive test done and still having issues! It is affecting my life and it is scary and they do not seem to care! I have had much better service in Austin I like Dr Farra but dislike the new scheduling system! Very up setting and it is my health the answering service does not care about!

Jose Dizon Stay away. This practice is a revenue machine, not a people caring machine. I was in the ER and admitted to the hospital. A cardiologist from this firm visits my room and tells me to make an appointment to see him (he’s the business development guy). when you make an appointment you see someone else who spends 6 minutes with you and tells you to schedule a test to be taken within 2 weeks. But the scheduler schedules it for 6 weeks out. I go back to the doctor’s office and the nurse says “just keep taking the meds, you’ll be all right.” I tell my primary care physician and she says this is totally unacceptable and tries to reschedule it. No success. The day before my test, 6 weeks later, the office calls to reschedule because my insurance approval is “pending”. I call the insurance office and they told me New Braunfels Cardiology started the pre-certification process too late. They had 6 weeks to do this! If you look at the other reviews you see consistent one-star messages about the same thing. That’s because they don’t read or care about you or reviews. Folks, this is an uncaring cardiology office. I went somewhere else.

Lisa Winston A multitude of screwups including almost injecting me with a drug to make my heart race for a stress test which the doc never ordered! Finally left after 2 years to work with a professional cardiologist and efficient staff.

James Munden Practice was much better before Christus took over; this corporate medicine is cold and impersonal. Wait times for appointments are absurd (nearly 60 days, even if youre sick) and the only alternatives are to call every morning and pray that they have a cancellation, or go to an urgent care and hope that they take your insurance.

Demetrius Rodriguez Garbage! service here is terrible do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. If you call and tell them your running late they will say it’s fine then when you arrive they go ahh no we need to reschedule. hahaha very disappointing

Megan Strickland I had to fight for a letter for my service dog and emotional support cat. I had a feeling it would get confusing since I have both. But they argued against it. Supposedly more worried about their license. But the PA wanted letter from the trainer who trained my service dog. Even though hes owner trained which is protected by ADA law. I explained it multiple times. Explaining hes NOT professionally trained so where would I get that anyway. She couldnt tell me but kept repeating that. Then said Id have to go to a psychiatrist even though my service dog ISNT for psychiatric disabilities. So why waste my money and time there. Then she said to go see my medical specialist instead. This was a waste of my lunch away from work and waste of my moms money for this appointment. This is illegal discrimination and harassment. I already receive it in Public. Last thing I need is a doctor to discriminate and harass me illegally against something she absolutely has NO idea. She even admitted that she isnt even trained in what to do.

Robert Grosman Having moved to Texas recently I needed to find medical care that could offer me optimum attention. I had my first appointment with Dr. Krantz at this location in February 2024. I found her to be not only very friendly and easy to talk to but she is an exceptional listener. I gave her a run down of all my issues and she had immediate reactions to all my concerns. She followed up by referring me to several other doctors and for various tests to address my issues. I saw her yesterday for a follow up. I came to the appointment with some apprehensions about the results obtained by the tests she authorized. We covered all the concerns I had. She gave me a very clear understanding about the 3 to 4 areas that concerned me. This alleviated my worries. She just has a knack for offering instantaneous feedback which I attribute to her wonderful training and innate gift. Finally, Dr. Krantz is an upbeat and cheerful person which makes for a very pleasant “doctor visit.”

Bunny Casey-Wanatick My doctor here is Joel Massey and he and his entire staff are wonderful. They greet you by name, listen to you and do everything they are able to make things happen for you. He also has great referrals. He is the reason I am getting therapy at the Mint on Walnut. The Mint is also a 5 star company. My husband is being transferred to Wichita, KS and I am so hoping that there will be medical help like these folks there. I will miss these wonderful people very much.

Erik The doctors here are great. The nurses will not listen to what the parents want. They love telling you your kiddo is doing fine until THE LAST MIN before check out where suddenly its this huge deal and oh wait you have to stay another day. Nurses will not listen to simple requests and get irritated when you want to change very minor things. I cannot express how little faith I have in this hospital going forward. A total and absolute disgrace to the medical community. I would love to speak with someone in charge of the maternity department to express my feelings about our bad experiences with both of my children that were born here. Also, nurses that are 38 weeks pregnant SHOULD not be in charge of patient care when they cant remember basic things like their stethoscope or which room needs which. Completely unacceptable.

Nhi Vuong My mom went to cardiac rehab for about 2 months here and all the staff was so helpful. Sometimes we couldn’t make it but they always tried to reschedule for us the nearest day if they were available. Nurse Brandon helped my mom a lot with all the excercise and she got better and better very fast. We were so happy that my mom had her rehab here. Thank y’all so much!

Alexsandra Casanova Nothing short of amazing when it comes to the care and service I experienced here. All staff was amazing and made my first delivery a great experience. The nurses in L&D, postpartum and NICU were amazing along with the doctors. They genuinely cared and made me feel comfortable.

Mari Machado I definitely will not be having another baby here. The nurses on labor and delivery floor are very hit or miss. Some nurses were very friendly, kind and helpful, others were very short and just wanted to leave the room. Then I unfortunately had to get a c section. It was the worst experience of my life, I could feel pain through out my c section. Finally we get the Lactation consultant since I was having trouble. She wasnt helpful and automatically shot down formula feeding and pacifiers because it will "confuse" my baby. Well she definitely didnt stick around when my baby was screaming all night because she was hungry and I wasnt producing enough.

andrew moore called to make my son an appointment. Never spoke to a person at all. Immediately placed on hold with not so much as a please hold by the front desk. Waited over 25 minutes on hold and still no one picked up to even say please continue to hold. Understandably Dr’s offices are busy with the current situation of our country. But this was very unprofessional and rude in my opinion.

Alexander Cypert Very painful to schedule an appt. We lived in NB for 5 years and this was our primary care facility. We recently moved back into the area after a brief stint in Austin. I called to schedule an appt to re-establish my care and have my asthma medication refilled. I was told that I had to see my original doctor (one who in 5 years saw me 1 time due to his schedule). His first available Appt was Mid March. Nurse would not provide a reason for this being their policy. When I mentioned the critical nature of my request, she told me there was nothing they could do. I’ll be taking my money elsewhere. Very disappointed after being a patient here for five years that this is the level of care now offered at this facility.

GINNA Ballard I’ve gone here about ten years. First with Dr. Overman and now Dr. Stigall since Overman retired. Dorothy is one of the nurses, and always the one who contacts me. She is great. Both docs have been wonderful people. Dr. Overman was always sensitive to things that worried me, without making me feel like a hypochondriac. Dr. Stigall has been very helpful with a recent diagnosis. It’s always easy to make appointments, they do bloodwork in house and that has been easy, and they have equipment to do a quick x-ray, etc. I’ve also liked that they don’t immediately refer me to a specialist if there is a minor thing that they can help with. They have been good at considering an issue, making suggestions, and then referring out - unless it is something serious that they don’t feel comfortable treating. Great place.

Anthony Merritt I dealt with a number of people at the office, but Gloria was a pleasure to work with. She took my issue seriously and saw it all the way through to completion. Thank you very much Gloria.

Josh Dyba Unprofessional. Will leave you on hold for hours. Had to call back multiple times. Doctors are always revolving there and usually never stay long term. Had some questions regarding general medical practices (nothing that would violate HIPAA) and they refused to help me or point me the right direction. Save yourself the headaches and time and go somewhere else.

Kimberly Meredith Medfirst has been my primary care provider for about 3 years. Of the 10 or so appointments I have scheduled for myself and my husband over these 3 years, 2 have NOT been canceled. Many times when an appointment is rescheduled, it’s canceled again. By the time they honor your appointment, you’ve waited a year or more to be seen. Extenuating circumstances happen and I am very understanding of this- but extenuating circumstances are the trend at this office.

Tiffany Czarnomski This clinic is all about the money. They push too many appointments onto the physicians and thus their ability to actually "practice medicine" is compromised. If you are looking to have a personal family physician this is not the clinic for you. I respect the physician we have signed up with but the clinic management and pushing everything into telemedicine or to scheduled phone calls for a follow up is not how a family clinic should be run. This clinic will end up closing within two years if they keep this model up and it will likely end up being akin to an "urgent care, get me seen, push the pills clinic". If you want proper management and great family care, this is not your clinic. Most of their physicians are leaving this group because of this style of "cattle herding" and taking their skills and knowledge elsewhere. Their patient portal is also difficult to navigate and keep and link all the family members to the guarding account. Not all my children are linked to my account. And since the physicians are overworked not all the documentation and results are uploaded or entered into the patient portal account either. Thats how $$$ focused the clinic is. Ive been in healthcare my whole life and not seen a clinic run this poorly in any state Ive lived in.

Natalie Johnson Awful. Just awful. The first visit my parents went to was with Dr. Rodolfo Canizales-Collazo. They gave a wonderful report of how polite and kind he was. However, we found out that Dr. Rodolfo is anything but a nice guy. We went yesterday for a 1:20pm appointment, but began to notice that the doctor was late, and it was now 2:07pm. I went out the office to inquire...only to find him and a female nurse playing hanky-panky with the door wide open! Nurse had no shoes on, the doc was in his chair playfully stooped forward while the nurse was on top of him, seemingly reaching towards his lap for something. Whatever they were doing, it was extremely unprofessional, and we were being held up over foolishness. I interrupted and asked is the appointment still on because it was pass 1:20pm. At that point, the doctor was most likely embarrassed (at least I hope so), but the meeting didnt get better from there. Dr. Rodolfo basically tried to scare my mother into diaylsis, a procedure she vehemently turned down. Each time I countered what the doctor was saying, he became offended because he wanted to force his will on my mother. He outright said that shes going to die, and he was faulting me. My mother was told that she was suppose to be dead years ago, yet shes still alive. I argued that he cant force my mother to do something against her will. Needless to say, we left and probably wont return. Sorry, Rodolfo. We might be Black, but were not dumb. We know that dialysis targets minorities, and that its a huge money maker for your industry, but not this family. Be a better doctor and husband.

Jose Ramirez I was told only appointment is 3 months out . I scheduled the appointment. When i arrived i was not seen due to the doctor taking a "personal day". I asked to be seen by another doctor or nurse practitioner and they said there was no doctors working that day (during a week day). The office manager also stated she were the highest authority in the building and there was nobody else i could speak with. They refused to give me a note showing that i showed up for an appointment that they cancelled in stead they wanted to give me a note saying i had changed my appointment. When i told then that i had taken time off work for my appointment and they needed to see me or compensate me for my time they told me to just go back to work. I was then offered an appointment 2 months out. So to be seen by this practice it would have been 5 months from the day i scheduled my appointment. I urge you to pick a different practice so you dont die waiting to be seen. Also their answer to everything is wait months for an apt or go to the ER. Very unprofessional staff.

Rachel Tiller My son needed staples because of a head injury. EMS, nurses, and the whole team were very kind! The place was clean and there was only one person in the waiting room at 3pm on a Wednesday. I saw nurses smiling which shows a positive work environment. Working in an ER can be stressful, and they had positive attitudes making us feel welcome.

Tejas Sweet Life -5 stars. I walked into the emergency room having chest and back pain and could not breathe compounded with shortness of breath. I started to black out in the waiting room and in the patient room. I asked a male hispanic-mexican nurse, "Please give me something for my back pain, I cannot breathe." He yelled at me and said," Are you talking? " Then you can breathe. I said, "Well, that work for George Floyd, didnt it?" I was later in a private room, and some woman doctor gave me an anxiety drug, Xanax, that made me black out. I was hallucinating when I woke up the next day. I could not find a doctor or a nurse on the floor. I did not know where I was. I felt I was still having a heart attack. I left the hospital and found my car. I hit a curb, damaging my fender, and got a flat tire. I walked into a library nearby and collapsed. Five days later, I woke up from a coma in ICU at another hospital. When asked why I left Christus, I said, "I didnt trust them" and what that nurse said to me. CHRISTUS Health is not committed to excellence in quality of care. In fact, one hospital kept asking for tests, they ran on me and would not send the results. I will not be addressing my horrible treatment and concerns with their Integrity Line.

Bryan Garcia i got injured and everyone here helped me and took care of me. they all made me feel better. i was scared cuz i never suffered from a concussion before and they definetly helped me figure out everything. i love how they came for me super quick and made sure if i was ok. i love how they all wanted to help. this is a very very great experience. i definetely choose this hospital over Resolute Health.

Percilla Machado I pretty much was bleeding internally and had I listened to the ER doctor I would or could of died. I went to another ER and had emergency surgery. Misdiagnosed could of cost me my life. Thankfully I followed my gut and the next Er was in shock that I misdiagnosed.

Soomin Woo They should not call themselves as a healthcare workers. I needed to stay in ER for 6 hours to just take CT and talked with dr. for 2 min to hear the result. Nurses were talking and laughing each other, listening music really loud and didnt take care the patients. It took 2 hrs to take 5 min CT and then they asked me to wait dr to go over the result so I expected 30 min to 1 hr but I waited 4 hr to talk with dr. They said there is 1 pt ahead me but didnt explained me why there is a keep delay. I am also a healthcare worker so I tried to understand first few hours. However, they failed to take care their patients. They didnt do their job duties. If you are not severe or life threatening, I recommend you to stay home and take some good rest rather than go to this stupid ER. This ER will make you more sick.
