Citlally Sánchez My sister got in a car crash incident and she was hurt. The nurses were okay while taking care of her but the main problem I had with them was that we requested a pillow and a water and the nurses dint bring it in until a few hours later. They were also not very helpful. They were more worried about giving us the cost of the ambulance and the treatment. They also take long periods of time to come and check on her and make sure she was okay. They never came to apply some treatment on her skin since she was bleeding. This service is awful, and I felt like my sister was not take care of how she should have been. There is no excuse for not being able to come in just from time to time to ask how my sister was doing and making sure her cuts were okay. It doesn’t take long. This made me and my family felt like the only thing more important than my sister at the moment was money. There are definitely better hospitals than this one. Please do better next time. Thank you.

J Staib My doctor quit the practice months before my appointment, was never notified, went to my appt. and they still hadn’t assigned me a new doctor. Was only able to talk to a nurse PA for my Leukemia appt! If that wasn’t bad enough, I was (finally) assigned a new doctor (Usrey), made an appt. five months in advance, and then less than a week before my appt., they changed the time by 30 mins and switched me to ANOTHER nurse PA! Newsflash for (No)Hope Cancer center: Cancer patients don’t want to talk to PAs, they want real Oncologists! The worst communication and practice ever. Cancelled my appointment, they don’t deserve my business. Sad, because I absolutely love all the nurses. They are kind and caring—but they aren’t oncologists.

Kenni Wallace I strongly advise against taking your loved ones here. My husband was hospitalized for a random seizure and stayed for two nights, during which we received inconsistent and often contradictory information. The neurologist refused to diagnose him with epilepsy, citing insufficient evidence for a seizure, yet prescribed seizure control medication regardless. She spent less than 10 minutes in his room, appeared rushed and dismissive, and offered vague, unhelpful answers to critical questions. For instance, when I asked when to call 911 in the event of another seizure, her response was, “You can. You don’t have to.”
Before even speaking with us directly, she started him on medication, only to suggest a 24-hour EEG the following day. When I questioned the usefulness of the test given the medication had already been administered, she agreed it wouldn’t be effective, and the test was canceled.
A month later, the outpatient neurologist we were referred to immediately diagnosed my husband with textbook temporal lobe epilepsy and provided comprehensive resources, including a folder with clear instructions and a flowchart for managing future seizures. This level of care was a stark contrast to our hospital experience (Dr. Gina Jetter - strongly recommend).
Additionally, the majority of the nurses assigned to his room were dismissive and demonstrated poor bedside manner, often appearing irritated when we used the call button. Only one stood out as compassionate and professional (Cassie from 4WC - you were amazing. The cardiologist was great as well. They were the only positive parts of our whole experience).
I must also highlight the outrageous bills we now face from this visit, despite receiving no answers and even more minimal useful information to help manage future occurrences.
Overall, our experience with this hospital was shocking and deeply disappointing. Should we require emergency services again, we will unequivocally choose Christus instead.

Sharanda Bishop This is the best hospital experience Ive ever had. From the receptionist all the way to my discharge nurse.
My intake nurse was a real nice young man. He was attentive and showed his concern. My blood pressure was extremely high and he immediately started putting things together to get me taken care of. He went and got Dr Brown. He came in and started assessing me. He immediately got me a bed in emergency and had his team to start my medical care. I had basically no wait time. Ive never had an emergency care physician to show such care for his patients before. His whole staff seemed to emulate him. The nurses and the techs all had great bedside manner.
The radiology department was just as nice. I love it when people act like they love their jobs and want to be there.
I had to stay over night. So I I was transferred to the 6th floor for observation. Those nurses and techs were just as nice! Im not good at names (although they did each tell me their names) but I want to give a shout out to all of the 6th floor nurses and techs. I can remember a couple of the names because they were familiar names for me. So Dominique (nurse) and Kane (tech), God bless you for making my stay great by the care you gave and just sticking your head in my door and asking "do you need anything". You have no idea how good that made me feel.
I want to thank the lab tech who came in the middle of the night to draw blood from me. I didnt want to do it, but she talked me through it and didnt hurt me at all. She had gotten the blood before I even knew it.
The food was fabulous. I expected typical no taste or bad poorly seasoned hospital food. That was not what they served me. I received well prepared meals 3 times a day. I cannot say enough good things about this hospital. I hope I never have to go to the hospital again, but if I do, this is my hospital of choice. A place where I know I can expect excellent care from the moment I arrive to the moment I leave!
