Roxana Sosa The front office nurses for scheduling are not very friendly. They seem bothered when you ask for more clarity on situations, all I wanted was to understand the process of the referral and it’s like I was making their job hard. I hope they find new people who actually love interacting with people as a job.

name s This clinic offers very poor service, several years ago, before the pandemic, even though the front desk was questionable, the great doctors and nurses made it worth it. But after the pandemic, even the medical personnel hasnt been the best, I used to take my 4 kids at this clinic first, one of them with special needs, and the pediatricians lack of basic knowledge made me switch my kid to special needs to The MAC clinic, but I made the mistake to leave my neurotypical kids at childrens clinic and it has been a nightmare, I had been waiting for almost 6 weeks for the doctor/staff to fill up a medical release form that one of my kids needs for sports, called more than 10 times regarding this matter, countless time they told me someone will call me back and of course no one ever does, and i still dont have something as simple as a medical release.
To make matters worse, I currently have a kid with a broken bone and need to see the pediatrician to get a referral for an orthopedic doctor, they have been unable to make the appointment because they have no access to the calendar. Someone was supposed to call me back 3 days ago, well guess what? No one did! And here I am calling them back with currently 35 minutes of time on the phone and counting...

Lisa Lopez My review is based off the nurses and wait time. Dr Bruyere is the best pediatrician in town, sadly the wait here is not worth it. Today was my 3rd time at this location and very disappointed it was with another dr. My sons appointment was at 1:30pm I arrived at 1:35pm got called into the back for vitals at 2:01pm asked the nurse if this is the normal wait time and she tried using the excuse of many patients that’s why and I responded that this is the 3rd time I’ve came here and it’s been the same wait time and she said oh well yeah…. Umm what?? We then got into our room at 2:06pm. Dr Jaime long entered the room at 2:31pm! She was finished at 2:54pm, stated she would be right back to check with some other doctors (she was a second year resident). She came back at 3:07pm to refer me to another dr for some reason I would not like to disclose here and to tell me they have no record of vaccines for my son in January!! Are you kidding me?!! I went to their location in January saw dr bruyere and waited 2 1/2 hours there and I clearly remember he had his vaccines. Thank goodness I like to take pics and have evidence of his thighs with bandaids from the vaccines. I will be calling tomorrow to complain about that and hopefully they can fix their mistake because of their irresponsible nurses my son should not be punished with vaccines he’s already had smh!! Unfortunately I found this information after I was home which is why I didn’t say anything then and there. Anyways she left and said they would be in with the vaccines. At 3:14pm I was very frustrated my kids were frustrated and tired, the room started getting hot so I opened the door. The ladies across the room from me asked everything was ok I said it’s hot in here but I’m sure they can see I was very frustrated so they went to get a update for me on the vaccines. At 3:46pm the nurse came in to tell me the vaccine was out of stock that I can schedule another appointment with their nurses that way he doesn’t have to see a doctor and only get the vaccine for my son. I was in utter disbelief! Almost 2 1/2 hours just to be told my son is not getting his vaccines because it’s out of stock?!! You think they would check their damn inventory if they’re booking children everyday that may need them?! Again I love dr bruyere for my boys but I will be going back to the previous clinic we were at before. The longest we’ve taken there is 1hr which I will gladly take over any day. And tomorrow if they can not resolve my issue with the vaccines I will be reporting them to the Texas medical board.
Update:
Yesterday 05/21 I was able to speak to Norma the manager and get everything situated. First she said around that time they were having system problems that vaccines weren’t updating in the system then the dr did not close his notes which is why his vaccines were not showing (not sure how that would affect it) then she called me back stating they didn’t have a immtrac form signed by me (pretty sure I signed it when I first moved here) either way I appreciate Norma taking the time to look over it and get his vaccines up to date. It’s just a shame that it’s been 4 months and if I didn’t speak up about it my poor son would have gotten vaccines he’s already had.

Justice Justice I have had a good relationship with the doctors here but the office staff and scheduling is a nightmare. If your child needs to see the doctor good luck getting an appointment that isn’t 2 months out. We missed our appointment because I had a new baby! I tried to call to reschedule and was told they have nothing until December and they aren’t even scheduling for that month yet. I told the lady on the phone that my daughter is overdue to see cardiology and they need a new referral and she just repeated that they have nothing. My daughter is a cardiac kid and I requested to be seen back in JUNE for a new referral to cardiology.
Edited to add- I called again today (6 days later) and was told they still have not opened the schedule to schedule appointments. When asked when it should open she said she did not know. At this point I give up. I’m taking my child to Centro med pediatrics. They will get us in next week.

Brittany Leigh Today was the final convincing that I need to switch clinics. Ive been trying all week to fax over forms for a new formula prescription. While I get confirmation after confirmation on my end, they never seem to receive my faxes. Ive been told they use an "electronic fax" that is inaccessible and uncheckable. They just basically wait (and hope) that the electronic fax system "reads" the fax (handwritten or otherwise) and itself transfers the forms to the correct patients folder. And it takes 3 hours for them to know if this even happened.. if it even happens. This is all to say that Ive never had a good experience with the office staff. They are generally unfriendly, and it takes forever to get a call thru. The office waits are extremely long, and they did away with the walk-in clinic, which to me was one of its few perks. Now I will say Ive never had an issue with their doctors or residents. We had Dr Jeremy Stewart and he was amazing. Unfortunately, this being a residency program, he is on to bigger and better things. Which I now realize is my other reason to switch--for all the amazing resident doctors working here, they too will move on, and over the years Ill be perpetually rotating thru doctors, instead of sticking with ones weve come to trust and appreciate.
