Michael Williams We made the appointment thru Galveston to go to League City. Dr Winsett wasn’t available as he only goes to League City once a week. Asked to be scheduled with any doctor in the UTMB facility in League City Wife took off the day and we drove from Tomball. No doctor was scheduled, however we were scheduled to see a Nurse Practitioner. Thanks but no thanks. We left and will no longer be using UTMB.

Jane Im a 50 year old winter Texan that needed attention for strange symptoms. Dr Ronald Samuel and his office has been very thorough in addressing my issues. Never before have I had an office that has called me as much as this one. The doctor himself even called me after returning from a few days on nightshift. He has obviously spent time outside of my visit thinking of my symptoms and what to do for me. The experience Ive had with him and his office is everything anyone could want from a doctor! I consider myself very lucky to have him on my side!

Sam Cowan 10 out of 10 experience! I’ve seen some mixed reviews on here, so I wanted to post about my experience for a medical appointment. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, everyone was very nice. I felt like my concerns were listened to, and proper next steps were taken. I left feeling some relief. My only small complaint is how long I have to wait for a dental appointment. That was the original reason I signed up at the clinic due to tooth pain. I wish it was easier to get in sooner but I understand a lot of people are trying to get scheduled.

Jacky Chacon In my opinion this is the worse clinic experience! The prices are pretty much urgent care pricing but the service is bad. Misdiagnosed, treatment is based on guessing and appointments are given within 3 weeks or more from when you actually need them. Always a long wait trying to reach them over the phone.

AneeshaNice Never thought I would experience insurance-based discrimination. On what basis should anyone be denied access to healthcare, because of the type of insurance they have? Especially at a low income healthcare facility. I even offered to pay out of pocket to see a provider for a medical issue. But was still denied services, and was told by patient services to, “call my insurance company to find a doctor”. I’m leaving names out because I don’t think that’s necessary, but I do think it’s necessary to shine light on healthcare In America. In the rare cases in which doctors are publicly available, they are usually of little value to patients, because of Money, or the type of insurance you have. Utterly ridiculous!

Michelle Hanson Looking for new Physician. Been having severe pain on my left side under the ribs. So I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Guillermo over a month ago. 4 days before my appointment I got a call saying that my appointment had been "improperly scheduled" by their employee and it was being cancelled. They could reschedule me in 2-3 months with an NP. This is your mistake not mine, and I can continue to live in pain for 2-3 months or pay a lot more money and go to the ER for your mistake. This is medical negligence. My family and I are now looking for a new PCP that actually cares for their patients.

Kathy Yeager-Spencer It’s sad to spend hours on hold everyday for nine days when you are sick. Someone finally answered on day 9 just to be told oh they transferred you to another office I can’t give you an appt

Gena Joiner Gave this a 2 star because the nurse that handled us from beginning to end was absolutely fantastic otherwise is would be negative all the way around! Took my mother here for an organ LITERALLY falling out of her body!!!!! They took her vitals and a CT scan but never examined her. Never had a doctor visit. Never even got an ER room. We waiting hours and was only told to follow-up with a specialist for surgery. I am so disgusted the the care or lack there up provided. This is a "bandaid" ER only. Do not take your loves ones here if it really is an emergency.

Cindy Warner I came in to hca mainland er on the early morning of the 13th May, I was appalled at the treatment I recieved, I came in by ambulance, I fell and I knew I broke some toes, my pain at the time was a 10+, while I was still on the ambulance gurny a dr. Or nurse a big man with a bald head, walked by me and asked what was wrong I told him I believe I broke three toes, he proceeded to grab them hard and wiggle them, I screamed in pain, and he just walked away, Im like really!!! Then took me to er room took trays and yes 3 toes broken, I couldnt put any weight on them I couldnt walk, dr.guirges soliman didnt care he just left me sitting there, I will never go back there, nurse FA she was the sweetest person she found me some crutches so I can at least try to get in a Uber which she called for me and took care of the whole thing, I appreciate her so much for her kindness . I am still very mad about the treatment from the dr, and whoever the tall bald big man was. Discussted , also they charged my insurance over $13,000 they only xray my feet, thats it. That should be illegal.

Basketball Stars I came in this morning not able to turn my neck. I also came in with no insurance. I was in so much pain. I’m so glad I did come. It was well worth my time. I was able to turn my neck by the afternoon and my pain scale had come down by half. This was my 2nd visit to HCA ER in a 2 week period and I was treated with dignity. I appreciate you provider Ophelia Sanders and Amy Murillo. It means so much when you leave feeling better than you came in ❤️

Shelly Smith I was treated exceptionally well. The waiting area was completely full when I arrived. All of these mostly elderly people were waiting for a bed. Most were admitted but were stuck in this cramped waiting room. I believe that I should have been admitted but knew itd be the next day if I was lucky to actually lay down in a room. I felt for the staff having to listen to all of the complaints about waiting. They did the best they could it seemed. The nurse practitioner that examined me was great. Her name was Amy and I cant remember her last name. Even though Im still sick, Id return if need be. Hopefully more staff is hired to solve the wait problems. I feel like there were beds available just not enough staff to cover.

Alana Torres Not sure if its the new location or what, but this was my first time at the new location and I had an appointment for 10:15 , came in early, and still hadn’t been seen by 10:50 so I had to reschedule. Whats the point of an appointment if you’re gonna have to wait 35+ minutes to be even be called back

Olivia Michele Horrific. Im am trying to figure out if Im pregnant or not and how far along I am and its like they dont even care or know why Im even there. I tell them I already am doing every remedy known to mankind and they dont care. They continue to tell me to keep doing their protocol for nausea. I wait BTW about 2 hours!!! Just waiting!! Im never coming back here again what a waste of time and inconsiderate about their people! Listen to your patients, dont do whatever the hell you want. Care about people!

Creeepy BunBun Ill try to keep this short, I took a at home pregnancy test and it was positive I now needed to schedule a doctor visit and get that ball rolling. I called this place ( now there were three women I spoke to the first was really nice and the other two were not I didnt, unfortunately get their names however) I called to schedule a appointment for Tuesday at 8:45am 10/31/23 the nice lady said at the time of scheduling my appointment they didnt take Aetna they were out of network with them. I said that is okay could you take my other insurance which was UnitedHealth she said yes we do just bring that the time of the appointment and we will change that for you. All was good I got a call again from this UTMB and it was a different lady she was calling to say they didnt take my Aetna insurance which I explained to her that I was told and I got a different insurance I can use I was told to bring it the time of the appointment so they could change it but thanks for telling me , she said but we dont take Aetna I said again I understand that but I have another insurance I can take for the appointment I was told to bring it the time of the appointment. I didnt get no other reply just hung up on and I had this feeling I needed to check MyChart so I did and she cancelled the appointment I called back not understanding why it was called this time a different lady answered I explained to her why I was calling I was out on hold and than she explained it again I told her neither one of you were listening to me I was told by another lady the day of scheduling my appointment to bring my new insurance and they would change it why cancel my appointment? She said well you were already told and I said to her again you are not listening to me I was TOLD to bring my other insurance the time of my appointment and they would change it she tried to explain it again so I told not argue just said thank you and hung up so really over all horrible customers service. I will be calling back and scheduling another appointment but like why did I have to explain that and just get ignored? And my appointment cancelled ( sorry about any misspelling I was on phone sending this )

Andrea Sands I had all 3 of my children here. I just had my last baby 2 weeks ago. I went in for a scheduled induction and we entered on the ER side. There was a man there that was immediately helpful, he was super nice and walked us up to L&D. During my labor my nurse was named Terrie and she has amazing bedside manner, she is the BEST nurse i’ve ever had! DR Marcantel was also great. All of the staff were so helpful and fast with everything! Everyone made my L&D an absolute wonderful experience especially nurse Terrie! Houston methodist is also great at checking in on you after your care there.

Kat M. I came here not feeling very well & in a short period of time I lost a lot of weight. I don’t have any insurance so the visit is not only costing me $1000 but also I was told nothing was wrong which wasn’t true. while not feeling well I fell at home and fractured my toe, they told me they could not help me with my toe because I came in for illness, that’s very odd. They sent me home with medication I did not need because “nothing was wrong” and none the less still left the hospital with my fractured toe.. the two stars is because they are very kind but kindness doesn’t heal my problems.

Sarah M and KatieDM2011 Visit 3-6-2024: I took my daughter to the ER at Houston Methodist Hospital - Clear Lake because she hurt her ankle in Athletics. We found out she had a level 2 sprain. The emergency entrance was easy to navigate with a walker and crutches. The front desk staff were friendly and attentive. The front waiting room is a little small but was not crowded when we went around 6 p.m., and was clean. We were seen quickly(about 10 mins.) and the triage was fast(about 5-10 mins.). We were moved to a smaller, secondary wait room(photo attached). There were a few rows of chairs, 2 wall-mounted TVs for patients to use, and medical equipment. The nurses and doctors meet with you in this room. The staff were understanding and patiently answered questions. This hospital has a text message system that alerts you to whats going on with the patient at each step of the treatment. I was really impressed with this feature! My daughter had x-rays: the room was clean and the technician was efficient. The doctor notified us of the results and sent us home. In the past, I have personally used this ER and highly recommend it to everyone.

Judy Garcia-Silva It’s an okay hospital. Some nurses are so nice and respectful. Sammy was the nurse we did not like. She has an ugly attitude and shows it all over her face. She treated my brother bad. And he remembers everything about her. And some nurses looked very young and didn’t seem to know much. They gave my brother a pill that I specifically told Brice not to give him. This alone makes me upset. I can only imagine how they treat the elderly patients. I will never see this hospital again. Smh

Diane Sauceda I went to this facility because my kidney doctor sent me there. I was going in because I was really sick. The doctor told me if I would have waited I would have died. The entire staff was amazing. The care I received for the 11 days was exceptional. Best hospital Ive ever been too. If I ever need emergency services again I would definitely go to Methodist again. I have been to many other hospitals in the area. The care was horrible. I was dreading it. But clearlake Methodist was excellent!

Zephan Lunz My fiance had an appointment with them today for a long time followup. Her mental health has been getting worse and we really needed this appointment to see a professional. They cancelled on her last minute and my fiance had an anxiety attack and wrecked her vehicle. I called them explaining how she cant work and now got into this accident because of her mental health. They did not give any resolution except we had to wait another week and a half for when an appointment opens up again. She needed to be seen today and started on medication today. Bad job UTMB. I do not trust you and your judgement to provide care to my fiance anymore. Bad job.

eric woerth Unfriendly to Veterans, got a referral for eye care but denied when I show up for appointment. If you are a veteran, and get referred here from the VA, choose somewhere else.

Iris Garcia Bad place keeps any patients ( specially family members) away from this clinic, my husband had been scheduled to have surgery on his left hand for the dialysis fistula on May 13 at 10:45 and still 6:37 pm and the Doctor has not finished yet with the patients from last night, no voices had been heard from him yet. This is crazy and they overcharge insurance for these situations, if you have any surgery that needs to be done on this place please look for a second place if you dont want to die here

Bennie Oliver I have had 2 seperate procedures at the Pasadena location, and have been overwhelmed both times with the excellent customer service - not by one employee, but every single one that I was in contact with by taking my mind off the procedure, joking, laughing, and at the same time being serious and explaining in detail what was taking place!! Pasadena Surgery Specialty Hospitals of America is second to none with customer service! All Core Values are carried out to the maximum from the time you walk in until youve been home a few days. It was so pleasant that I almost forgot why I went. I received a phone call the next day to see how I was doing, answered a few questions, and bang! I was impressed again. Then 2 days after, I received a hand written Thank You card - impressing me even more. Ive been in and out of hospitals for the past 25 years, and this is the first hospital that ever treated me as though I was the only patient they had and sending me a Thank You Card - Who does that?! THANKS TO ALL EMPLOYEES AND DOCTORS for making my visit a fun, painless, and pleasant one!

Mark Hopp I used these people in June of 2014. Last week i received a notice from SARMA debt recovery in San Antonio telling me I owed the $69.00. I have great insurance and I have never had any issues with them paying bills. I called the hospital and asked to speak to someone about this issue. I was told Monica Martinez was out and she was the one I would have to speak with. She has never responded. Do not use these people.

Martin Horak Avoid having surgery at this place if you value your health and well-being. They are unorganized, not communicating and will let you suffer. Just botched preparation for my wifes surgery left her be in danger from life threatening condition. On top of it, they literally laughed in our face. What a disgrace. This hospital should be closed.

Misty Burnett I had my Bariatric Procedure done here with Dr. Miranda. The staff was very helpful in regards to post operative care. I felt they treated me so wonderful.The hospital was also a very clean hospital as well. I am 1 1/2 years post op and have lost 150 lbs. I would recommend this facility to friends and family members.

Tracie Mazoch I do appreciate the low costs. But you get what you pay for it guess. Went in did labs. Stool samples and blood work. Started bleeding when I was doing stool saple. Ended up at the er that day. Er found major infection colon and inflamation and bleeding, takibg tons of meds now.coastal called the next day and said i had nothing wrong. All tezt negative and blood showed no infections. I had a fever when i went to the doctor on inital visit. Said needed to wait till labs came back to give me meds. If you feel something is really is wrong get a second opinion. Please. Dont trust there labs.

Carol Allegretto My 78 year old mother was having chest pain and thought she might be having a heart attack, they checked her blood pressure and told her she was fine. My mother still didn’t feel well and asked to be taken to the ER. They told her she didn’t need to go and told her to sign a refusal of service form so they could leave. My mother told them she wasn’t refusing and wanted to be taken to ER. They bullied her into signing it. My brother had to drive 45 minutes to take her in. Tonight she called me (I’m in NC) with serious symptoms and in pain waiting on my brother to take her to ER (he lives 45 minutes away) I asked her to call 911 so they can send an ambulance but she has lost trust in them and believes they will provide transportation services to the ER. This is beyond sad. Shame on you!

Contessa Mason My husband was having a seizure and these “EMT’s” just stood there looking at him. When I asked if they could do something instead of stand around, this guy gave me such an attitude and said “no that’s not how this works” to which I replied “please inform me of how this works because you’re not doing anything” he then mimicked me to the other female EMT. There was absolutely no hospitality whatsoever and I cannot believe people like that are allowed to work in that position with those attitudes. DO BETTER!!

Jason Farrar I’m a very experienced healthcare provider and know what good care should be. My wife had cardiac arrest a few months ago. It took this joke of an EMS system over 10 minutes to arrive and the Paramedic showed absolutely zero urgency in anything that she did. After defibrillating my wife she gave no further care. She just acted as a taxi cab. Because she wouldn’t ventilate my wife after cardiac arrest it made things more difficult during her stay in the ICU. When I was sitting in the ER waiting room she came out and said “she has a massive brain bleed”. I thought that she was saying this based on facts, but it turned out that she made it up. Our tax dollars pay for an absolute joke of a system. Their leadership has no issue with allowing incompetent paramedics care for your family. When you (hopefully never) have to call 911 for your family member you should have no faith whatsoever that they will receive quality care.

Amanda Ashcroft Received a collections notice but NEVER received a bill from Galveston Area Ambulance Authority from services that occurred OVER A YEAR AGO. When I called to ask about the charges they said they sent a bill out and it was returned. They didnt even TRY to send it out again or attempt to get our new address (our mail was being forwarded regardless). Underhanded business practices and lazy employees.
