Marc Duncan I will leave good reviews when warranted and will do the same for a negative experience. I have been coming here for several years and dont normally have a problem. I had an appointment for 11:15am to get my results for some lab work I had done 2 weeks prior. I was called back to at 11:20am. The nurse assistant took my weight and blood pressure as normal and put me in room 1. I checked the time on my phone to see how long it would take to get my lab results numbers and at 12:14 the nurse practitioner came in and first thing she said was an apology for the wait. 50 minutes it took of waiting for something that took her 2 minutes to read off the paper. Unacceptable!! They werent busy with a lot of patients and this 2 minute visit shouldnt have taken 50 minutes!

Joseph T Flores Its a good and affordable place for when you need a doctor they even have a offer a discount if you qualify for it

Abbey Burn I cannot say anything but good things about the Pasadena Health Center! Their staff are all incredibly kind and helpful, and they were even able to get me an appointment for the next day. I waited less than 10 minutes for my appointment after filling out my new patient forms and the front desk was very understanding and informative about my payment options. The nurse who took me back to the room and did my intake (I don’t want to post her full name but want to give her kudos, her last name starts with “J”) was so sweet and amazing at administering shots! The doctor fee was very reasonable as well. I truly received phenomenal service and will definitely be coming back for my future medical needs!

Romeo Guerra They’re rude, never answer the phone. When you go in there’s about 3-4 receptionists asking you the same question because they do not have any communication skills. Dolores from pharmacy is RUDE. She did not want to transfer me to make an appointment because “that’s not her department” over all a horrible clinic not sure how it’s still standing. If you don’t like your career you can easily change it. Because customer care is definitely missed in this establishment. Not to mention not even the Dr.’s last. One day you go an see a dr. On your next visit the dr left to another clinic I wonder why.

Samantha Gongora The dental staff is inadequate and I highly doubt to come here if you are looking to be billed correctly. They wouldn’t accept me after I told them their office is in network with my insurance. They even admitted that the prior patient to me had to pay out of pocket cuz when they ran his insurance it wasn’t in network but they did it anyways. I called and even showed them on my insurance app and they still wouldn’t accept me. Waste of time I don’t have trying to get my teeth checked out. Can’t imagine what the doctor is like.

bthepisces This clinic is extremely disrespectful to customers time, they set appointments way before doctors are even scheduled to show up. We waited for over 50 minutes to be seen without an apology or acknowledgment of the situation. Absolutely do not recommend this place.

Mrs. Wendy From the moment I spoke to them on the phone I knew there was going to be in issue after they gave me a different time for my appointment and I missed it had to reschedule. I was interested in bringing my kids to this clinic and making it their primary doctor but no more. From the very moment I walked in they were already trying to reschedule me because I didnt have my paperwork printed in hand. I said no I will have their last doctor fax it to them while I fill out forms and it was automatically an issue. After waiting and them continuing to try and reschedule me I was told that I had to have those papers by 4 not to mention they close at 5. They really were not trying to help and made it very difficult so I decided to take my business elsewhere.

Adriana Meza Ive been taking my children to the Pediatric Medical Center at Burke for about 3 years now. Dr. Thomas is great with kids; pediatrics is truly her calling. The staff have always been very helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I have never had an issue with wait times issues with scheduling. I will continue to take my kids there as long as I can.

DR VIPUL PATEL

(43) Reviews DR VIPUL PATEL:

Amanda Flores I give Dr. Patels office no stars but I had to put at least 1! Not the doctor himself but his front desk staff! I made an appointment the day of 02/23/24 scheduled today 02/29/24 @ 12:15pm for my mother in law with her next to me via telephone due to having high cholesterol to review further. My mother in law comes in today and was turned away stating appointment was not today and not until allegedly 03/24/24 over telephone. I am so upset as to why they would change her appointment and act like we should have known and say they never made an appointment on the day we called. Its very frustrating they would handle a patient this way. The front desk girl who failed to provide me a name put me on hold and for a Michelle to get on the line trying to assist but Im furious my mother in law was handled this way. The front desk girls totally let my mother in law down. Results should be given by the doctor and not by the front desk. I have requested to speak with the doctor in person and scheduled for Monday, 03/04/24. Lets hope we get something taken care of.

Me,myself and I ?????? I have been a patient of Dr.Patel for ten plus years. Me and several family members are his patients . Dr Patel and his office manager Suzanna keeps things running smoothly. Julie, Michelle and Victoria take care of us in the front and they actually do care about their patients. Now the Phlebotomy tech Ozella is always super gentle with me overly and I am a super hard stick … I recommend this Dr a million times over… Knowledgeable and professional at all times.. I seen a few bad reviews due to wait times but what good dr don’t have a wait time…. He is a busy dr but he takes his time with each patient …

Helen Freeman His staff excluding the.one.who.answers the phone. I have breast cancer and its.been hard finding all my doctors that practice out of bayshore plus who excepts my ins. He has a assistant that does the referrals who will not take time to even do it when my insurance company has even .tried. . I think she has no compation or empathy. I have cancer shes playing with my life. It doesnt matter how many referrals Ive had its her job regardless. And I have the right to choose a.Dr who is a specialist with breast cancer and performing a double mysectomy and reconstructive. Dont remember her name Im sure Im not the only one shes treated this way Im sure. She shouldnt be working in a drs office. I will probably die now when I post this. She will never do the last referral I requested now.

Gisela Garza Horrible front office staff. Very rude and its their way or the highway. Had an appt with a PPO insurance and they denied to see me just because they were not listed on insurance card. This is ridiculous when she had an appt to see Dr. Danielle Garcia.

ANNETTE MARROQUIN Doctors there are extremely kind and knowledgeable.. very unfortunate that the staff makes the clinic look bad.. called the clinic and I was simply questioning why they had all my incorrect information on file Eduardo started yelling at me and hung up on me.. Eduardo if you want to be spoken to kindly and with respect you have to treat people in such way.. especially because you work in customer service don’t forget that you have food on your table and a roof over your head because of paying patients like me and everyone else

Cindy Torres I had gone into the emergency room for shortness of breath and shaking hands. I waited what seemed like 20 mins before the nurse called me in to check my vitals. The nurse -Rob- I believe was great and sweet. As I sat in the waiting room some more I asked to have something for the bad heartburn I was having. They didn’t give me anything. I did the X-ray test and than sat in the waiting room for what felt like 2 hours still with heartburn. I got called in back the nurse station. All my labs came back fine. They discharged me with nothing, no prescription no meds, just the tums I had requested hours prior. A man had been sitting in the waiting room with a IV and fluid bag since 12noon. I will never go back to this ER again. I do NOT recommend it. I left felling worse than when I got there.

Michael Rodriguez Hospital is BAD. Had a gallbladder taken out. Doctor never did a follow up after the surgery. They leave notes for the nurse to read to us. If you have any questions the nurse doesn’t know. Then they said a kidney stone had to be taken out and when they went in there there was nothing. Same thing no follow up and nurses can only read what the doctors put in the notes. So many questions left unanswered. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL!!!!!!!

Alexis Williams I’ll never recommend this place of care to anybody when my wife had Covid she told me the nurse didn’t even care for her well being thank god she’s still here today. And the the other day 1/12/22 my brother in law was there because of his diabetes has gotta out of control they told my sister (his wife) he’ll be dead by the end of the night. I mean who’s tells someone that. That their love one would be dead by the end of night all because this hospital lacks proper care and the workers are there only for a paycheck and nothing more

Cheryl I was in this hospital in ICU in 2017 and received excellent care. I have been to the ER twice in the last month. My first visit was degrading. I felt like they just didnt have time for me. Did I mention I have Congestive Heart Failure and COPD. Returned 2 weeks later bc of numbness on right side. Was informed I was being admitted for tests. This was about 11am. I was kept in waiting area until about 4am bc no beds. Tests were done when there wasnt a delay or mix-up with my chart. At 4am still no bed, but did get a recliner. Saw my admitting Dr. once my entire stay. Nursing staff was great but stretched thin. Upon my release the Dr didnt even bother to come explain anything to me. Only had discharge papers for information. Very disappointed in the communication. Considering my health history a little communication would have gone a long way. Disappointed and uninformed.

Simmons Pinney Brandy “Bambigirl78” I dislocated my hip and had to stay the night. The hospital staff and Dr’s went above and beyond to help me, including the ER. We will definitely use them again if we need to go to an ER again.

Sadam Rivera My grandfather has been at this hospital for almost 4-days at this point with pneumonia and I have several complaints about this hospital: - Throughout the entire stay, it has been the family’s responsibility to change, clean, and feed the patient. Zero assistance from the staff. - My grandfather was being administered antibiotics and the nursing staff didn’t know what they were for, one of them had to pull out their phone to google the name to find out. - The staff has failed to explain the treatment plan as well as test results. - During the nursing shift change, the nurses came into the room for reporting, all spoke in English (while the primary care taker present only speak Spanish) and the asked if anyone had any questions, knowing very well that they did not understood a word they said. - The nurses and doctors are never on time for checkups, we’ve had to push several times for my grandfather’s nebulizer treatment on time. The MD is usually several hours late. - The MD was very disrespectful towards the entire family. For context the majority of family present mainly speak spanish and they were never made aware of the fact that they could ask for a translator to assist with communication. According to the MD, “he speaks in very simple terms” so everyone should understand what he is saying and requesting a translator would “delay medical care”. When we asked how long it would take to get a translator he said 5-10 minutes. According to the HCS website the patient should have access “To receive, as soon as possible, the free services of a translator and/or interpreter, telecommunications devices, and any other necessary services or devices to facilitate communication between the patient and the hospitals health care personnel” When we requested to update the patient’s chart to mention the need for a translator at all times, the MD refused to do it because “he didn’t understand why we needed one, instead he would speak to the relatives who spoke English” we let him know that there’s no guarantee that someone will be able to understand/speak English and yet he refused to do it. After persisting for several minutes, the MD mentioned that this would be the nursing’s staff responsibility. When asked is he could help is with communicating this need, he refused to do so. Throughout this stay, it was the family’s understanding that my grandfather would undergo a procedure on Monday to remove liquid from his lungs. The day before this procedure, the MD said that “there’s no guarantee this will take place at the proposed time” because he had not put the order yet and it would all depend on the staff’s availability. We are very disappointed with the level of care at this hospital. We requested to speak with someone from Patient Resources but none of the staff knew who to contact.

Emily Rodriguez Been to this office a good number of times for physicals and fevers since it was my family’s doctor but I gave them a number of chances and It’s time to put my review . If you like long waits and all your time waisted this is the place to go. There are plenty of clinics in Pasadena, do not waste your time with this one. I’ve had multiple people tell me the same thing and will not be going back...

Dre M Where to start , my first appt was 3 hours for blood work flu shot .. ok I was new patient understandable .. I get a referral for some test .. I had to call the office for results, because they don’t use any online portal to see results .. I get Call 2 different people to say Dr needs to go over results. Ok I call back the lady says ok you have low iron you need to come in to speak with the Dr. ok couple days later another call at 4:09 I call back their closed, I call next morning I call they say ok you have high cholesterol and you need to come see the doctor. I let them know. I already have an appointment and they say oh OK see you then.so now I go to my appt . I wait 2 hours 1/2 . I go in the ladies have no clue why I’m there. I let them know it’s for abnormal test result and they said oh that’s it. Do you want to wait or do you wanna telly visit? I’m like yes I’m gonna wait how am I gonna be here 2 1/2 hours just to leave to have a Tele visit and they charge me co-pay for test results. So now I wait another hour for them to tell me the same thing they told me over the phone. The doctor was clueless that I had an ultrasound. Finally, I asked for the copies of my bloodwork and ultrasound and they give me a sheet of paper with two doctors names no referral to a specialist. I took it and got the hell out of there .. I was better off at Strawberry clinic .. I will never go back or refer anyone to this clinic not even my worst enemy… I have never felt this way with any doctors office. They made me feel like my symptoms were nothing when I do have a problem and I need to have it addressed ASAP… the only staff member that was so nice and helpful was the phlebotomist..she was so nice ..front office and medical assistants so rude to staff including the Doctors . Their loud and obnoxious to each other .. so unprofessional

Amber Jones I went to Southmore Medical for about 7 years. I think Dr. Patel is a good doctor. He is professional, and is quiet unless he has something you need to hear. I am not sure if Blessy is still there, but I liked her a lot and she was more personable. I love MOST everyone there. I am not saying that their isnt a little attitude from a certain person that works there cause there may be. If you look past that, and understand that they see a LOT more patients in a day than most...susanna is a blessing. I may have misspelled her name. The wait time sucks 90% of the time.. that is the reason I stopped going. I DO MISS THEM THOUGH.

Angel Slaten I was very frustrated when I showed up for a walk in appointment discussed 4 days earlier to find I could not be seen that day. A doctor called out but when I called earlier that day, nothing was said. I then called 3 days later, Monday, to see if I could walk in and was told completely different hours available. Not consistent nor convenient. I was referred down the hall to a different office and turned away from there as well. I found a new doctor in Deer Park.

Amanda Quinn I brought my son here for a weird rash that wasn’t improving after a visit to the CVS clinic. The nurse practitioner that I think is kinda new there knew exactly what to give him and it cleared right up and hasn’t come back! She seemed very knowledgeable and caring. Also, I see a lot of people complain about the wait time, but it really wasn’t that bad when we were there.

Jessica Terrones Terrible service in that clinic, I took my mom and Dr. Arauz couldnt take care of her, they put me through a female doctor who apparently doesnt even know what shes doing, she was looking on Google what medicine to give my mom, that day she took care of her, she was eating in the room, it seems so unprofessional to me, I dont know why they still have her there instead of helping Dr. Arauz, it slows him down more! She introduces herself as a doctor and is nothing more than a simple nurse, Im really upset They should do something because it is negligence and I am going to report them to the board of medicine. I had to wait 3 hours and I left disappointed. If you value your life, dont go to that clinic.

Jen Had an appointment for my daughter and they made us wait 3 hrs to be seen. Then we had another apt a week later for a school physical we called And said we’d be like 15 minutes late and then when we got there they said we’d have to wait and be seen as walk in. I changed her Doctor after that!

alexia barcenas HORRIBLE place! They make you feel like you’re stupid for going! The lady in the front was very rude! Took my newborn to see if she could get covid tested, it was a weekend her pediatrician was closed! And It was already late. The lady in the front told me it wasn’t a testing site, and that there really wasn’t anything to do if she had it, that there was no “cure” for it to just give her tylenol.. she also mentioned it wasn’t an emergency… so they didn’t see us!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE!!

Anthony Rodriguez Dr. Adams was very nice had an awesome experience with her. My issue was with the Hispanic male and African American female in the front. Both but in particular the male was probably one of the most disrespectful people I have ever met in my life. He would constantly respond with an attitude. This establishment would be better off without this horrible person.

Ja Camp Went in with severe pain in my mouth, nausea and dizzyness. They did find I had a cyst above my tooth, but they gave me the same pain med I already had that wasnt working and they gave me nausea meds that didnt work in the office. Not sure why they thought it would work after I left. I have a lap-band and I told them that when I entered. They should know that if a person with a lapband dry heaves or vomits, there is a strong chance that the band would move and I would need surgery in order to fix it. They seemed suspicious of my pain and didnt want to give me anything strong at all. I was sent home with the same pain and nausea I went in with, and ended up puking on the way home. The only thing I was able to gain from my trip was confirmation of a cyst via cat scan. Thanks but no thanks on the other so-called help.
