Honduras Traveler I have strong reasons to believe this hospital is double charging its patients. A while back I got sent to get a holter monitor in me. It tooks 5 minutes and then they told me to not even return it to the hospital, they instead told me to ship it to some address in another state. That company then analyzed the results and sent the report back and charged for their services which we paid. Then, the hospital had the gall to charge us for the same services and billed it to my insurance with the most generic comments on the bill. When I called and complained they told me their analysis was with my health records and I had to pick them up in person. I went in person to see what analysis they had done to charge for their services and all I found in my health records was the same one the out is state company had charged me for. So yes, really, this hospital just decided to bill me for services they did not perform. It was clear to me that after complaining they wouldn’t withdraw the in my opinion fraudulent bill and they would probably send it to collections. Because I’m an honest citizen I was forced to pay due to avoid this outcome. I felt used and scammed.

Sandy Hernandez I had knee replacement surgery and they have been taking care of me unbelievably. I feel like I am with family with all the real love and care I feel. Thank you all so much, you made a drastic experience into a much better unbelievable one. Started off with Dr. Vann praying for me and then the Recovery room nurse Holly was amazing, so very caring. My floor nurses Katy (day) & Sherwin (night) are wonderful. ❤️ I thought this experience was going to be a horrid one and I’m happy to say that Hendrick Medical Center and the hospital staff made it a pleasant one. ❤️

Gene Skaggs Do to unfortunate circumstances I have had to go to Hendricks ER several times and have received nothing but A+ Care, from the ER Doctors ,and ER Nurses. Recently do to a accident I saw the Osteo doctor Dr Gary Couch who was nothing but outstanding. Dr Couch was working on call from Houston Texss and throughly explained everything to me about my accident and the damage that I had done. He spoke to my normal Osteo doctor Dr. ALI Who is nothing short of amazing himself. Just wanted to say great hires Hendricks these guys are phenomenal and are dedicated to their patients in my opinion. Thanks Gene Skaggs III

Mandi We just moved to Abilene. I brought my mom in here yesterday morning due to her dropping something on her foot. They were fast, and kind. The nurse Morgan was so sweet and the nurse practitioner that seen my mom, her name was Jessica, she was also sweet and professional and they treated my mom with respect.

James Mortimer Ive been going to this office for a little over 2 yrs. And I have to say it has completely turned to **** the Drs are great but the whole front office is horrible they r extremely rude and disrespectful. Since theyve hired these new women to work the front they seem like they have no idea what they are doing. This is the only place where when I go in I have to fill the same paperwork for my insurance when my insurance hasnt changed. The women at the front said it needs to be updated every 6 months, so I said well I was just in last month and I was told with attitude well we still need it so I did it and then the next time I go in 2 months later they tell me I need to fill the same paperwork out again so I asked I thought you needed to update it every 6 months and I said well this is the 2nd time in 3 months and I was told "just fill out the paperwork" I have never been to any Drs office with such disrespectful people in my life and they r lucky they dont work for me!!

Tamidim Doc was nice but they never EVER answer the phone. I must have called 30 time in one month. If youre on hold dont expect them to pick up either. I finally gave up an got another doctor. 2 weeks later they call me to verify my appointment. What a joke.

Michael Hildreth One of the best experiences I have ever had at a doctors clinic. They genuinely care about the patient. I highly recommend Thaddee Uwimana, NP.

Dominique Rideout About the same speed and ease of contacting as most physicians offices in this city (if not faster!!) I called on Wednesday and had an appointment within a week. Great place for primary care, especially if you are low income. I had lots of face time with an NP and didnt feel like I was waiting a long time just to be seen. They definitely made me feel comfortable and well cared for.

Amanda Byers My daughter was referred here from her ER doctor for a follow up visit after her car accident. When she called the office and told them she needed to schedule an appointment with the neurosurgeon for her broken back sustained from a car accident, front desk scheduled that appointment no questions asked. Fast forward 3 weeks, my daughter and her fiancé made the 2 hour drive today just to be told that this appointment should have never been made and was turned away. She was also treated poorly by another staff lady who was incredibly rude and had an awful attitude about her being in the wrong place. DO NOT COME HERE!! My daughter left emotional, in pain and confused as to why these ignorant people scheduled her appointment in the first place!!! Train your staff, get a grip on customer service and DO BETTER next time!! People who come in aren’t just a number, they are human and deserve kindness and respect!

Mary Davis What a joke, I made an appointment through the portal. I am an established “Peterson” patient. They had available appointments for today. But made me fill out new patient forms and told me that I would not be able to be seen til Wednesday since I had never been to that specific location. I cannot stand Peterson. I’ve had nothing but problems with them. From hospital down to simple care. They do not care about you!

Kristi Redwine Would never go here again. I have to drive an hour and a half to get there and was in desperate need of a primary care doctor due to my heart condition. The first appointment I could not make it due to a personal reason then I rescheduled and they set me up for the wrong time even though I showed up. Then they tell me they won’t take me as a patient. Office staff is incompetent and the lady that called to say I can’t be a patient was RUDE!!! Apparently the doctor makes too much money and doesn’t care about taking in patients who really need their type of expertise.. sick of the healthcare system and this place doesn’t care about people. There are circumstances that arise that we have no control over so missing one appointment is really unfair to decide I can’t be a patient. Apparently they don’t know their own code of ethics or abide by it . Money is all they care about .shoukd have looked at their ratings first at a 2.9 one of the lowest. Found a better doctor

ZaRoyalia Houston Doctors are amazing and always make sure the patients are well taken care of going the extra mile. Management lacks empathy and respect for their staff while belittling, embarrassing and insulting them

Michelle Martinez I HIGHLY recommend Dr Tyler Ulmer and his nurse. I have some serious health issues and they are always kind and comforting while being upfront. The Dr. is very thorough and listened to everything I needed to say and took into account my thoughts for my treatment. He has even calls me personally at home when needed. I have never had a doctor like him. I have told everyone that will listen to go to him. His office staff is nice as well.

Kaelyn Mays They got me in quick enough on a Sunday but for $80 (with insurance) I received 60 seconds with someone I assume was a doctor, an Rx for antibiotics, and no actual wound care. She did take a painful swab of the wound. Thursday night after hours they called my work number, left no callback number, and just said I should call for results. Friday morning I call and Im immediately put on hold without asking why I am calling. I have now been on hold for 15 minutes and the back and forth female/male voices telling me to make an appointment online or continue to hold is going to drive me insane :( Update: After more than 30 minutes of being bounced around and left on hold I had to give up to get back to work. I will never go to this clinic again. Hope they gave my PCP got a copy of the results, Im going to just try calling him instead.

Lori McCulloch I wish I could give this clinic a fair review. I needed care and was told by an employee of Hendrick that the clinic was open on Saturday. I looked it up on the internet to find the exact hours and the clinic was listed as being open on Saturday from 9am -3pm. There is a big sign outside the clinic saying it is open but a sign on the door says that it is closed. Very upset. I would give zero stars if that were an option.

Dominic Ramos They are under equipped to deal with the influx of Covid patients. When calling be prepared for 20+ minute call wait times to get little to no information. On top of a parking lot full of patients they only have 1-2 nurses going up to the same car at a time. There seems to be no way to know who is being helped or your number in the queue. Everyone other than the hard workers face to face with the cars is extremely unhelpful and rude. Covid isn’t new and I expected a more organized procedure since it has been 2 years now we as a community have had to deal with it. Literally you can schedule for a specific time to get tested at other Covid testing sites. Save your time and money go elsewhere.

Lea Martin Went here on Christmas with breathing problems. Every single person was very nice and they got me right back and seen. They were thorough and ran blood work and took a chest X-ray to check for pneumonia ect... The doctor was very nice and he was quick, I really enjoyed them getting me out of there and got me breathing so that I could enjoy the rest of my Christmas with my husband.

Joshua Muntean I recently visited this location with a deep and uncontrollable cough, and despite having multiple symptoms and insurance, I was treated poorly by the staff. The CNA running the place was in such a hurry to get me back out the door that I was given Robitussin for my cough and sent home. Had any of the staff done their job, they might have found out about my Pneumonia i was suffering from. Long story short, dont trust your life to these people.

Vanessa Ramirez If I could give a negative amount of stars I would because 1 star is just way too much. Its very sad to me that the mission for a physician has changed so much that actually caring for a patient is just very hard to find these days. My son in law went into this facility to be seen for severe migraines daily. These migraines have been causing him a lot of discomfort, we are talking about severe pain to the nonability to function. He has been extremely worried about this since there is history in the family for brain tumors and the early symptoms were the same. This being said he goes into this clinic in hopes to get answers or at least the beginning of some answers instead he is given nothing. The physician tells him and I quote "if your able to walk in here and talk to me then you’re okay". This is the help he received and then given 2 Tylenol. Needless to say this physician will be reported in every way we can find. But to the physician you should be ashamed to call yourself a Dr. Maybe you should rethink your career path and maybe working in a different field would be more suited like maybe outside picking up trash or something where you do not interact with people as it seems your humanity is non existent. So anyone else out there who actually needs medical attention I pray you go to another location and stay clear of this noncaring facility.

Lauren Gladding I am someone with lots of medical anxiety & very particular when it comes to my medical care. I visited this ER early morning on 3/10/25 due to numbness in my face. My attending provider was FNP Eric Hargett. He met expectations by running all tests he could in the moment, which included at head CT scan, EKG, bloodwork. The rest of the staff was also kind & seemed passionate. Thank you & this is where I’ll be visiting again in the instance of an emergency

Evalyn McInnes I went to this facility on 2/22/2025 for my 2 month old because he had raspy breathing and a cough. When they were in triage the nurse was asking questions and the is he vaccinated question was asked and my answer was no and she smirked and her attitude changed. They moved me to a room and a nurse and I believe a student came to check him out. Then an FNP by the name of Eric Hargett came in and said we will test him for Covid, flu, and RSV. And I asked how are the tests done and how far up his nose does it go. He did not like me asking questions he also asked who’s our pediatrician I said Steadman and he immediately said I’m pretty sure Steadman doesn’t take unvaccinated kids. Then he proceeded to say if you don’t do the tests we can’t help you and you can leave. He then said if he has a fever and we can’t figure out what’s causing it we will need to do a spinal tap on him. Mind you I told them he didn’t have fever. And they took his temp in triage. They say he is positive for RSV and that he needs transport. So I ask if I can ride the ambulance I was so flustered at this point that it didn’t even hit me that he’s a minor obviously I’d ride with him. But they proceeded to tell me due to his state and disease we’d have to see what the ambulance guys say. They just kept saying didn’t know If I’d be able to ride in the ambulance. The nurses came back in to do more tests and in my head I was like for what they have already determined it’s RSV so I ask what these tests are for and she was rude at first till I said look that Eric Hargett is very rude and completely unprofessional and I’m freaked this is my baby I brought him here so we can find out whats wrong and the treatment we have gotten has been very uncomfortable and unprofessional I just want to know what y’all are doing since we already know he has RSV. She then proceeded to say they need to take blood and do some tests to see if he’s sepsis and at this point I felt like it was just to draw extra money. My fault I even believed it at first so she tried to draw blood from him and I watched like a hawk the moment she started to dig in His arm with the needle I stopped it I was becoming sick to my stomach and said I will transport him thanks. Then Eric Hargett yelled from down the hall NO! You can’t leave. I will call CPS on you which I then said go ahead. And I left and we went to north side and we’re admitted there. They kept becoming more rude they were treating us like we had the plague. I had my friend and daughter on FaceTime as well so they hear it all my friend btw is a NICU nurse in OKC so they heard all this. They even yelled at me to hang up the my phone. This was such a traumatic experience for both my baby and I. The man needs to be fired especially from the rest of the reviews about him on here . I will never go back to this place again and will tell all my clients and friends not to go here either. That’s him in the photo. I am filing a report and will be talking to a lawyer. I have used this facility in the past and the staff was absolutely amazing. I don’t what’s happened to the compassion in this place. I do not recommend it especially if Eric Hargett is present.

Ruth Gregory Its so sad that Hendricks is our only choice in Abilene and they have all these bad reviews. I took my dad to the ER south last week he had had bouts of vomiting and stomach pain on and off for 6 weeks. This time was the worse one. They did some gall bladder tests and said it wasnt his gall bladder. Sent him home Saturday and said he was on a regular diet. He started again on Sunday night. This time I took him to Northside hoping for better results. They did the same gall bladder test that they just did on the southside. He sat in the hospital for 2 1/2 days waiting for a GI doctor. That is a lot of money! Finally a GI came, talked to him, sent him home on Thursday. Thursday night started vomiting again. He is being charged for one week in the hospital for nothing. Two of the exact same tests. I have talked to so many other people that experience the same thing. Come on Abilene, we are better than this!!

Kayla Worrell I made the choice to use Hendricks to have my baby despite the bad reviews. I will say the nurses in labor and delivery were amazing. I was also impressed by NICU nurses. However the OB Martin at Hendricks I was super disappointed with. I decided to cancel my induction to wait and see if my baby would come naturally. His nurse or nurse practitioner made me feel like I had made a terrible choice. That I was risking my baby’s health. Scared me to death. Then proceeded to act like there was no more dates to be seen, and who knows when I could get in with them again. Didn’t return my calls. Yes let’s scare our patients into induction to fit our very busy schedules and agenda. Then leave them terrified with medical jargon that isn’t even 100% backed up with scientific research. Ignore our patients concerns. SUPER PROFESSIONAL. I consulted with a friend of mine who is a very good midwife on the east coast. He thankfully reassured me this decision was fine. Three days later I delivered a healthy baby girl. Martin refused to come in and deliver the baby. Unprofessional, rude, and condescending attitude is what you’re going to get if you have any kind of opinion that doesn’t match his. You’ll also get scolded if you have any sort of setbacks on your appointments. I had had to switch insurances mid pregnancy, therefore some of my tests like my diabetic one came later. I chose to grin and bear some of the comments because I have limited options in the area, and with Medicaid your options are even thinner. I won’t be returning to Hendricks Hospital’s Ob. I would recommend to steer clear of this place.

Patty Wilkerson My son-in-law is currently in this hospital and the stories I could tell are many. This is the absolute worse medical care that no one should have to endure. Once we get him out of there I will be back on Google review with the complete story. Abilene needs to have better medical choices, especially since the largest data processing center in the world is currently being built there. The community needs to try to do something to get this place shut down or bought out. If you love your family you should prepare where you could take them for good medical care or they may not live. We are truly surprised my son-in-law is still alive.

Cheyenne Segura I had some OB care here and lab work done before moving. I called to set up a payment plan on my balance and they would not accept a monthly payment of $50. Instead of taking a monthly payment of $50 they said they would send me to collections because I couldnt do their minimum payment of $100. Dont go here they will just try to ruin your credit when they dont like the amount you are WILLING to pay. Ive never had a place refuse money. So glad I moved and had my child at a different hospital that works with the amount you are able to pay each month. Not to mention the prices at this hospital are ridiculous. They billed my insurance $4000 for routine blood work.

Mindy Eakins If I could give a negative star I would! This hospital doesn’t deserve any stars. The lack of communication between its own employees and communication with family members is absolutely awful. My sister is currently in the hospital there and Our whole family is in fear for her care. There is zero sense of urgency to figure out what exactly is happening to my sister. I hate that this is her only option. A hospital is supposed to be a safe place where you should go if you feel like you need care of any sort not a place to go where you feel like you might die if you go there.

Darla Fullerton You cant get through by phone to a doctor or nurse. At the appointment the doctor says call if you need anything. Wrong, you cant call. The phone automation also says, "If you would like to take a survey press 1." No, that doesnt work either. Hendrick is quick to take your money but you cant get any help. And Hendrick never fixes the phone problem.

Samantha Williams Dr. Iheanyichukwu Ogu is a doctor associated with this clinic. Do not go to this doctor if youre concerned about your renal care. The office never takes calls or returns calls. The office told my uncle he was at end stage 5 kidney failure but never called him to follow-up or to establish a plan of action. Its heartbreaking. Im also in the healthcare field and this is absolutely unacceptable. You dont take an oath to take care of your patients and then repeatedly drop the ball across the board. Incredibly disappointing. We will be asking for a referral to another nephrologist.

samantha atchison Terrible clinic, there is no communication! It took me finally making an appointment to see Dr. Olanrewaju after 10 phone calls from me and at least 5 phone calls and I don’t know how many faxes from the medical supply company over a period of more than 25 days to get orders sent to the Hendrick Medical Supply. Promise from the office to call me back at least twice, didn’t receive a single call! Dr. Olanrewaju corrected the situation as soon as I was in his office, but it never should have gotten to the point that I had to make an appointment to see him. Looking for a new doctors office now since this one didn’t seem to care about me as a patient.

Cole Crosthwait Wife and I have been seen here for a couple years now. Dont expect to actually receive help if you come here. They will give you an "emergency line" thats supposed to go to the doctor apparently but only leads to reception and trust me they wont help at all. The receptionist anytime she does answer is the most unprofessional and rude person to clients and has even said not to call back because she cant contact her boss too bad so sad. If you have a choice I pray you see this and chose somewhere else. Dr. Ahmed hasnt been on time for an appointment once. I and my wife have had to step away from work multiple times hours after our scheduled online appointment times due to this all while he apologizes profusely and states that this isnt how he conducts business but weve never seen him conduct it any other way. Basically if you want to be treated poorly, like your time doesnt matter and never get call backs from your psychiatrist this is the place for you.

katie First of all, trying to get ahold of anyone that works at this office is unbelievably difficult. The receptionist never answers the phone and will not respond to voicemails either. Dr. Ahmed, when he does call for a scheduled appointment, never calls on time. He is always at least an hour late. They have altogether stopped responding to me reaching out, have not refilled my medications that they prescribed to me (SOLELY because they cannot answer the phone to set up an appointment), and are truly the worst psychiatric office in Abilene. I do not recommend this office to anyone looking for a psychiatrist.

Sean Desrochers The commander of the 7th Medical group should be fired! The pharmacy is horrible, when you call to activate a subscription you have to wait a good 1+ hrs on the phone, and many times someone will pick up the phone and hang up on you so you have to call and wait all over again. The process to pick up or drop off prescriptions is constantly changing. They treat veterans like 2nd class citizens at the 7th medical group. The USAF should be ashamed of themselves!

Onesimo Solis My wife has been trying for two weeks to get a prescription filled. She had her doctor send it twice. When she calls to check on the availability, she has to wait a long time, even though she is advised that there is only one call ahead of her. So, she goes on base only to find out that the prescription isnt available or the staff ordered the incorrect dosage. Im hoping that the lack of medicine does not affect her health. Use your training days to teach your people how to do their job. Why cant you order the medicine and ensure it reaches the patients without them having to go off base?
1 /5
Brandon Brown They are your typical military medical center minus it being a fully functional hospital. They always have to refer you off-base for care, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it would be nice to have a fully functional hospital on base. They see you in a relatively quick time, in and out quickly. They call prior to your appointments to confirm times and dates which is always nice. The facility is nice and faculty is too.
