Rebecca Burton With my first pregnancy I went to a birthcenter and had an amazing experience. That was not an option this time since I have moved. It took weeks for me to decide where to go and I completely believe I made the perfect choice coming to Scenic Mountain Medical Group. I will be guided through this pregnancy with Dr. Gray and I am so excited. The feel coming here is just like that home feeling I had when going to the birthcenter.

Danyna Alvarado Our family just moved here from out of state and we needed to establish new pediatric care for our little one. Coming from a situation where she has had her care team in place for the last 3.5 years, it was difficult to think about having to start all over again. I found Alyx Woodward and after meeting her and talking to her, I felt so much relief. She was very perceptive and eager to help us with our daughters special and complex health care needs. Thank you for making this transition a little bit easier for us.

Gene Staulcup My Aunt and Uncle became residents at Big Spring Center in early July. The care and attention they have been given has been excellent. The staff has kept me informed of their health and contentment in a timely manner. My uncle past away September 17th at the age of 94 after a short hospitalization. The care and compassion given to my aunt by the complete staff only serves to reinforce the fact I placed them at Big Spring Center was the correct decision..

carrie fox Jason and his nurse at the Big Spring clinic were awesome as usual! Very caring and attentive to our special needs son. As a parent of a special needs child, I know the need of a Medical Doctor to be able to sign off on specifics for NP’s and Pa’s. After the passing of Dr., Ahmed, in my opinion, the PA has been left without an MD to sign off on certain documents, such as medical equipment, surgeries, Supplies, nursing, without an MD signature. Our special needs kids are not able to get Any of the above services I mentioned. These are a must for our kids to survive. I don’t understand why access medical has not been able to provide the big Spring clinic with an MD. This is ridiculous to my understanding there was one put into place, but is now not wanting to do the job! We have been going to Dr. Ahmed‘s office for 25 years and have been totally please throughout that time with Dr., Ahmed and Jason’s treatment of our son! We love Jason and the nurses and do not want to have to change to another doctor, especially since they are so familiar with our sons syndrome. But we cannot to lose his supplies such as his specialized formula, suction, and feeding Supplies, medication’s, nursing hours, and upcoming surgeries. Access medical, Please get on the ball and hire an MD for the big spring clinic ASAP!!! I know our son is having surgery in October and even though Jason will sign for it, insurance/Medicaid is going to kick it back due to no MD signature. I know of other parents who are going through this also! The big Spring clinic can only do so much, and they are, but it is Access medical’s responsibility to have a medical doctor on staff to sign, and be accountable for PAs and nurse practitioners! Do your job and hire someone! We have upcoming appointments, recertification’s for nursing, etc. if there is not a medical doctor hired and put into place for the big spring clinic, we, along with other families are going to have to find another provider! We do not want to do this! But as I have already explained our son cannot lose his benefits due to no medical doctor on staff!

Mary Mclellan I went to the Cogdell Memorial Hospital ER when I was 5 days postpartum with a severe headache and high blood pressure. Sherry Early, LVN got me in to see the doctor quickly. Dr. Wyatt saw me immediately and identified the problem, and called my OB to discuss my condition. Within 10 minutes of arrival I was seen and assessed by the nurse and the doctor, had an IV in, and was receiving medications to bring my blood pressure down before moving me to the OB department. I appreciate the speedy and efficient care I received by both Sherry and Dr Wyatt.

Sherri Beason When asking questions or requesting something on myChart someone else answers for her. When requesting a specific lab for my appointment I was told no by her nurse that Marcie will tell me what labs need taken. I requested for Marcie to be given the message I never heard from her. If I have to wait 15 days for an appointment and I know what is wrong with myself, why cant I have the labs done and ready for the appointment? I am the one paying for everything so what does it matter....

Olivia Civitello Poor customer service. Will not be back. When I made my appt I specifically told them it was for a follow up for workers comp injury. They said okay. I go in for my appt 25 mins early and was told they are not set up to take workers comp insurance. Okay cool, I will see the doc for my yearly blood work and be done. The lady at the front desk was rude and treated me like I was lying about seeing the doc for other needs. Ryan Cooksey is a great doc but the lack of customer service with his staff will continue to drive people away!

Douglas Wallace As opposed to my two prior visits, this one was terrible. With the exception of the RNs, I felt belittled. Triage was non-existent, the receptionist was almost apathetic and borderline rude and the thing that bothered me the most: I could barely stand, due to the condition of both lower extremities, and the only people that offered assistance were an EMT and another patient in the waiting room. The icing on the cake: waiting over six hours while I watched three others (which arrived after me) go back and leave after treatment while I waited in agony. I doubt that Ill be going back.....Stanton or Midland looks a lot more appealing.

Friendly Texan Excellent service from the moment I walked in until I left several hours later. The ER doctor, the nursing staff, the lab and X-ray personnel were very friendly and let me know what they were doing and explained everything thoroughly.
5 /5
Audrey Austin I went in because of severe severe nerve pain in front of gums. Not only was the doctor very rude, he made disrespectful comments about me being on narcotics already for chronic pain. He also only numbed my lip and not my gums and when I tried to inform them that only my lip was numb and the injections had not affected or numbed the gum at all he refused to even speak to me about it. He did not help me in the slightest but the nurse was really nice and seemed to genuinely want to help me as I was begging to die by that point because the pain was so severe. I have dealt with migraines my whole life, arthritis, and endometriosis/fibroids for many years and have never experienced any pain as bad as Thais pain was.

viv powers Very disappointed. Im on social security and they quoted $10 then changed it to $76. I paid that then saw a nurse practitioner and had a balance of $14 after I saw her. Next appointment will be 50 or 76 or whatever. I will not be back and do not recommend anyone else. So if I pay the extra 14 thats 90 plus 4 for my bp med. From 10 to 94. Seriously!!!

Amber Walker Doctor decreased the dosage on my meds without discussing it with me or saying anything. Then calls back and said he has done that to a lot of patients that he feels the dosage was written wrong. Ya he messed with my antidepressant cut it in half and said nothing to me about it at my appointment. He said he was going to refill all my meds and put a refill on them at the appointment. Once again he did not talk to me first or discuss just changed it without talking to me. So if you dont want your mental health messed with and dont want to go through antidepressant withdrawal DONT GO HERE

Tom Miller WOW! I did not expect such an exemplary experience. When I arrived I was lost but a very kind receptionist walked me where I needed to be. She was so nice. The phlebotomist is fantastic. Very friendly, most proffessional and great at her job. Really good Restraunt in the hospital. Super clean and very friendly. Dr. Brantley and her nurse are absolutely two of the finest health care providers I have experienced. I had an exam and a procedure that could have been quite awkward. They made me feel very comfortable and at ease. They entered the room with a big smile and a little humor but highly proffessional. They explained everything that would be done and let me ask questions. My treatment could have not been better. I highly recommend MCHD and Dr. Brantly.

Chelsea Williams Brought my baby to the ER to be seen for high fevers, cough, fatigue etc for e days. Dr.Alex I believe was his name was very rude, dismissive, argued with me and told me to not interrupt him again. Kept trying to exclude me from conversation and only talk to my husband. He was short, with glasses, dark skin. We left without treatment due to his nasty attitude and bedside manner. He only spent literally 30 seconds checking out my baby. He told me I was not helping myself nor my baby by bringing her back in to get checked out. The nurse we had was wonderful but I dont remember her name, she had blonde hair and Barbie crocs. Will not be going back because of that doctor.

I think my nurses name is Elisa or something like that...she was so kind and soft spoken, and even held my hand for a minute. The doctors and imaging tech was also super nice. They helped me get relief. I would give them 10 stars if I could

Becky Collins The only reason I put 1 star is because I have to. The VA is JOKE to all Veterans. My husband has to jump through so many hoops to get any kind of service. The closest appointments he can get is over an hour away. When he finds a dentist that is great, surprise, the VA does not pay the bill. Its very sad and extremely frustrating that the VA is supposed to help but all they do is make it worse for so many Veterans. Its ridiculous. I have personally experienced them saying "I know certain things will help but I wont do that" to harassment letters to the receptionist yelling and screaming at him on the phone. DO SOMETHING FOR THE VETERANS WHO FOUGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY VOLUNTARILY!!

Steven Isom Ive been here for almost everything, labs, eye, doctors, and dental. I have nothing but good things to say about the Big Spring location. They are the best clinic Ive been to. Idk where all the hate comes from. No service is perfect. But everyone is always super nice and VERY responsive. Compared to what I had other places all over the country, its not even in the same ball park. A little bit of humility and patience goes a long way. Some things may have a little bit of lead time. But whenever I need to get in quick, they always take care of me. Im grateful to have this location so close to me.

E-Man I drove almost two hours here to get my prescription, paid 75 dollars for polarized ones and two weeks later I got them with messed up prescribed lenses that make it impossible to wear. I was instructed to send them both back and its been almost 2 months and still havent heard anything back. I called twice and left a voicemail each time with no response. Not like i need to see or anything. VA Doesnt care.

Steven Williams Odessa VA clinic. Dr Moreno pac 3 is a joke. she has no common sense, very incompetent, doesnt do her home work on patients she has acts like she doesnt care. The clinic has gone down hill. And nobody cares. Veterans lives are on the line and they could care less.
1 /5
William Bailey For the last 15 years thus place has gone down hill. They cancel appointments the day of, then send a cancelation letter 3 weeks past the appointment. They only have PA to treat any veteran that goes there all the doctors are only there filling positions that have nothing to do with treating veterans. Only those that have nothing but the typical ailment get good care. No mental health whatsoever. The staff there dont care for anything but the easy way to get paid.

James Fox I recently had the opportunity to experience care at SMMC, and I can not praise the staff and doctors enough. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The front desk staff were efficient and welcoming, making the check-in process smooth and stress-free. The medical team, including doctors and nurses, demonstrated incredible knowledge and compassion throughout my visit. They took the time to listen to my concerns, explain procedures in detail, and ensure I felt comfortable every step of the way. Their dedication to patient care truly shines, and it made a significant difference in my experience. The facility itself was clean, well-organized, and equipped with the latest technology, which added to my confidence in the care I was receiving. I left feeling grateful and well-cared for, and I highly recommend SMMC to anyone in need of medical attention. Thank you to all the staff for making my visit a positive one!

Terry Stephens I am from out of town and came to the emergency room with unexplainable chest pains. The staff went to work immediately and started running test to try and figure out what was up. Turned out to not be a heart attack but the entire staff I dealt with had an excellent attitude and knowledge. They all listened to me and worked on me quickly. Thank you for taking your time to give me.good treatment. I have been in several hospitals through out the years and this is one of the best I have dealt with. Thank you for giving a dam about people in general. Good folks.

Ian Cable I was in the behavioral health unit and the staff was wonderful and respectful at all times. The food was less than desirable but the rooms were nice. Staff was always there if we needed anything and they listened and showed that they cared. The staff encouraged everyone to go to group times where we played board games and colored. They definitely got me on some good medications that I needed and they definitely help to stabilize me so I could go back into life.

ViNi I went to this emergency room 5 yrs ago with my partner who was in active stroke and they let us sit in the ER waiting room and did nothing. Connie Booth I recently had the pleasure of being treated by the OB/GYN department at the clinic, and I couldnt be more pleased with the care I received. Dr. Gray, in particular, was outstanding. From my first appointment, Dr. Gray took the time to thoroughly understand my concerns, explain my options, and ensure I was comfortable every step of the way. I truly felt like I was in expert hands. I also want to highlight my recent surgery at SMMC. The entire surgical team was absolutely amazing. The care I received was top-notch from start to finish. I felt supported, informed, and reassured throughout the entire process. The surgical team not only identified my issue quickly but also made sure to explain every step of the procedure and recovery process. Their professionalism, compassion, and expertise were evident, and it made a huge difference in my overall experience. The only downfall I cannot fail to mention is the outdated equipment the hospital staff has to work with. I’m hoping and praying the new owners give the staff and doctors the tools and equipment they need to be top notch! I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care provided by Dr. Gray and the new surgical teams. Thanks to their attention to detail and commitment to my well-being, my diagnosis was handled with the utmost care, and my recovery is going smoothly. I recommend Dr Gray to anyone seeking care in the OB/GYN department. Dr Gray and her nurses truly go above and beyond.

Chris B My mother was in this hospital three times, I believe, from the 1950s into the 1970s. She would start acting really crazy. My poor dad and her brother really didnt want her to go but they really had no choice. She was schizophrenic and I would say it was probably diagnosed as severe. She would get shock treatments and in 3 months she would be home. She was quiet and unresponsive at first and eventually back to normal (relatively speaking).Slowly she would return to her crazy ways and the cycle repeated itself. It was a weird childhood for me and my brothers but I think my dad hurt the most. For the most part me and my siblings did ok but it could and should have been better. I know that it could have also been much worse so I thank God every day for his help and guidance.

Jacob I was committed here at 21 yrs. For the next 7 years i was in agony & no one even believed me. When i was 38 i found out why i was in agony. Every medication i was prescribed caused me a side effect called akathisia. Akathisia feels like your coming down hard off of some drugs so bad your in agony. It also causes self mutilation as i did the entire time i took whatever meds i was prescibed. Self mutilating the entire time. My life was destroyed & all that happened was the ones who destroyed it got richer. My family & i no longer speak as they could not handle it when i finally refused ALL meds & quit self mutilating. Cowardly fools. No cop (who forced me to the mental hospital), nor family member nor doctor could bear the pain i did for years, for even one day before they cried baby girl tears & started their baby girl begging... Only a fool would believe that justice is a real thing in this world. If i received justice it would mean the doctors & my family (who forced me to take the meds with threats of homelessness) would be forcefully taken from their homes or place of work & be put in a concrete cage. That is a very basic truth. Anyone who thinks mental hospitals have gotten better & are good places should go through a month or two of HELL YOUVE NEVER BEEN CAPABLE OF DREAMING OF, (Akathisia) & then rethink your ignorant fools position. Whoever says "nice" things about theses places is plain jane ignorant! & The deepest Shame belongs to them & their families of fools.... Look up akathisia & spread the word about it or remain part of the problem...

Krissie Blevins This place saved my life. I was sent here 2 yrs ago because I was incompetent and I had sliced my wrist while I was incarcerated in the Ector county detention center. I learned coping mechanisms here that I still use today. After the treatment I received here Ive learned how to forgive and love myself. I havent cut in 2 yrs Im completely sober and I have a great life now.

Cynthia Moffett I had a massive stroke, 5 years ago. I am semi paralyzed on my right side. Dr. Manish Shroff would be my primary doctor. He would not, never feel kindness and compassion towards his patients. Dr. Shroffs nurse was so rude and hateful to me. I know now, I will look for a primary doctor. Dr. Shroff would not be a doctor for me

J C Literally the worst hospital to ever go to. It never fails, every time anyone of my family members has an emergency and are forced to come here, it is the worst service. The doctors are a joke, they do not care at all about their patients. The wait times are ridiculous. The rest of the staff are incompetent. You come to a hospital to seek care and most of the time come in scared, and the doctors have the audacity to laugh in your face when you ask for tests or ask to speak to them in general. Sitting here in the ER with my mother who’s bp is in the 200s and the doctor comes in laughing and refusing to treat her symptoms because my mom mentioned she had the flu days ago. Doctor said oh yea that’s what it is and when I asked if we can run tests just to be on the safe side he laughs again and says why, it’s not medically necessary and I’m not doing anything just because you ask. They give her only something for a headache and that’s it, meanwhile her pulse is dropping and her bp is staying elevated and O2 dropping. Make the drive to Odessa instead if you want actual medical care because this place is a joke. It needs to be shut down.

steven bishop Sat in ER for several hours and being told repeatedly that we were next and few hours later and multiple people (50) we’re moved before and was told several more times that we would have to wait while my wife was suffering from a fractured back. No sence of motivation for any of the staff, sevier, lack of compassion, multiple children running around screaming, staff sat on phones and laughed and joked around with each other while (60+) people waited on help that seemed to the staff more of a nuesance then they wanted to deal with staff consistently lied about when people would be seen very very very disappointed and felt extremely disrespected. No disabled combat veteran should be trea In such a despicable manner. Will be filing complaint with medical board and hospital board of directors. Don’t expect to be seen sooner then 5 hours also be cautious about using their bathrooms you might end up being exposed to blood on the toilets

Joshua Morris Terrible ER service. Nurses are rude and disrespectful. People were waiting for seven hours plus. When I asked the Nurse where I was in the waiting Que. she told me they don’t go by first come first serve. It’s who ever they want to call in the back. There is no rhyme or reason. I had been throwing up since 9 pm last night till about midnight. I told them I felt nauseous and light headed and felt bad. They don’t care about people at the hospital.

Hannah Loera My husband went in to the ER with a post operative hemorrhage in his throat after getting his tonsils out 10 days prior. The doctor was unconcerned about the bleeding a prescribed an ineffective treatment for the bleeding. After being in the ER for four hours he left with the same problem and no change, bleeding in the throat. After completing the "treatment" the doctor did not see him or recommend any follow up. He saw the doctor maybe 5 minutes of the four hour stay. When he was able to see his primary care physician a few hours later the problem was treated in 15 minutes. When we received the bill a few weeks later from the hospital his issue was deemed it a "moderately severe problem" it ended up being several thousands of dollars when his hemorrhage was unresolved. One thousand dollars of the charge was because of the severity of the problem that was untreated by the ER. Even after doing a case review with the hospital for a bill adjustment the hospital felt that "standard quality of care" had been met. If having someone come and leave with the same issue that is "moderately severe" such as a postoperative hemorrhage is their "standard of care" it makes me shudder to think of what it would look like if standard of care were not to be met. We definitely do NOT recommend and suggest going anywhere else when looking for emergency care. We will be filing complaints with Texas Health and Human Services as well as the DNV. The quality of care was unacceptable and even after giving the hospital a chance to recognize their error and adjust the bill, they refused. It was very disappointing to have this experience.
