G.I.M First time at this facility, and every staff member even the security guard were all very friendly, patient, kind, and professional. Doctor Harmjanz was awesome in every sense of the word, and very attentive. Keep up the great work everyone ⚡️

maria rivas I’ve been coming for a few years. Dr. Randall is amazing. He listens to all my concerns and addresses them accordingly. The entire staff is great. I love how smooths things are from checking in to leaving. Wait time is not long at all.

Carol P Dr Willams and her nurse, Thelma make an excellent team! We just met both of them and they were both so kind, helpful & thorough! The doctor worked well with our daughter, and validated her concerns about wanting to stop medication. (Yikes!) The doctor handled it beautifully & made a plan to address each of the issues, one by one, moving forward. Both my daughter, and myself felt "heard!" Sooo nice! Recommend this doctor and facility 100%.

K 1 Dr. Cusick is amazing, caring, compassionate, and an expert in her field. She answered all of my questions and helped me come up with a plan to address my issues. The wait time is dreadful which translates to a patients time is not valued. Her staff are unpleasant, uncaring, and uninformatve. They do not provide updates when the doctor is behind except an inaccurate text message I received while I was sitting in the waiting room. It said the doctor was running 5 minutes late. I waited 1 1/2 hours past my appointment time to see my doctor. I also arrived 30 mintes before my appointment as instructed to fill out 10 minutes worth of paperwork. The staff really bring my overall opinion of the clinic down.

R W This was my second visit to Dr. Marianne Cusick. She is a breath of fresh air. She is attentive and seemed to genuinely care. She listened and gave me feed back. My condition has a lot of variables and has caused me a lot of distress. I am very happy to have found Dr. Cusick. I trust her.

DeCarla Day Dr. Das saved my life. He is a fabulous surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone. My GI doctor referred me to him. About the office staff: the staff needs more training in customer service. It was very difficult getting hold of anyone or getting response to voicemail or My Chart msgs. I had trouble dealing with the surgery scheduler. She gave me wrong info. I had to search for and find out alot of info on my own. It was difficult to get her to respond to my msgs. Dr. Das is well worth all the trouble and difficulties I experienced with his office staff. I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

Risha London 15 months after giving birth and I’m just now mentally where I can speak about my experience here. You hear all the time about how this is the “best” hospital and how you will receive “exceptional” care and I will be the first to say that it just was not my experience. I can’t speak for all departments but the OB/Postpartum Dept was horrible. I had 2-3 nurses at the most who went above and beyond, and I wish I knew their names but may God BLESS THEM! I felt as if I had no control over my birthing experience. They pushed for a c-section without “in my opinion” Exhausting all options! It was the worst ever and I still grieve the experience I wish I’d had for my firstborn. most of the nurses were all young and completely incompetent of proper patient care. I had one to deny me narcotic pain meds and offered me TYLENOL, after being 2 days post op cesarean. They sent me home with something stronger than Tylenol so I still do not understand the issue! It was time for my next dose , so why are you withholding it from ME?! I had to beg for a breastfeeding Consultation and even when she came she was not helpful at all. My fiancé and I had to figure out how most of the equipment worked. I never seen the licensed Physician, it was always the RESIDENTS! As a nurse I feel like it’s okay for residents to round but for me to never see the Dr. is insane! Once discharged we basically seen ourselves out. Transportation came and we made the best of that as we could. Even the transporter said that some nurses will come down to ensure a smooth transition. That just shows how much they cared for me. I’m not a difficult patient but I will stand up for what’s right and advocate for myself. I will not allow you to handle me any kind of way. Words will not suffice the traumatic experience that my fiancé and I endured while being here. The only thing that I am thankful for is that my baby arrived safely! I’m sure the countless prayers that I made while there is the reason for that . I think about this EveryDAY. Hopefully now that I’ve vented my frustration , this is the first step to moving on!

Juicey Gee Gee I had an appointment with the hematology department Monday November 11th. I got there several minutes earlier than my scheduled appointment..the intern came to the room I was waiting in to see her..she chatted with me for a few minutes, said I will be back that she needed to speak to her supervisor. She literally left me in a freezing cold room for well over 1hr. Never came to check on me nor explain what I was waiting for. She and her supervisor returned together no apology for leaving me unattended for a very long time nor did the supervisor help me understand what was going on with my blood in a way I could understand. She also rushed right back out the door on to the next patient.I certainly felt like just a number and that was the worst day of my life since receiving services from Harris Health.

Annybeth Guillén I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the outstanding care I’ve received over the past year. From my visits to the lab, imaging clinic, and oncology department, every experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The kindness, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help that I’ve encountered at every step have made a significant impact on my journey. I truly cannot imagine entrusting my care to any other place. Thank you for creating such a positive and supportive environment. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and I’m incredibly grateful to be in such good hands.

Priscilla Ma-ang Smith Clinic is located on the outskirts of the medical center and is a great clinic. For the times that Ive come, Ive done X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans. Every patient within the Harris Health System understands that it takes months to make an appointment, so thats your job to be proactive and frequently call the appointment center for any closer dates. Although, when the facility becomes congested it looks chaotic, theres a method to this madness. The receptionist mediates between the doctors and patients which can be difficult at times, but they handle the circumstances presented to them with grace and an upbeat attitude. The staff move with urgency and exude a light-hearted attitude. Each member Ive interacted with has made it a priority to give you the best possible care as well as accommodating patients who are disabled, confused, or disoriented. Smith Clinic is a great facility that works effectively and efficiently as a team despite the notably high volume of patients.

I just moved to TX and was really concerned about finding someone that would partner with me on my heath care plan. I am so grateful that I do not have to search for a good doctor any more. I would totally recommend Dr McCray to friends and family.

Werks JB (A New Artist to LA) I need a new doctor ASAP . My current doctor Sabeena Rahman has not been informative or helpful at all. She told me if my back hurts that bad to just go to the ER . She’s not going to check it. So I went to the ER and they told me it’s UP TO MY DOCTOR to verify what’s going on with my back and refer me to someone in orthopedics. I understand back pain is common for pregnant women , but being that I’ve had prior back problems AND a fractured hip before , the ER doctor states someone needs to confirm if giving vaginal birth is even safe for me . When I told Sabeena Rahman I needed a letter for work and to at least add on the letter my back hurts , she said “I can’t prove that, and I don’t want to lose my license” . My thoughts are , So let’s prove it ! . I need a doctor who will take the steps to actually help me and not write me off because it’s just a symptom of pregnancy. It’s more than that. I need a new doctor and I need an appointment ASAP. I am 38wks .

K W Specifically applied at this location I applied for the healthcare assistance for homeless not once but twice now. First October, Unfortunately the forms that were sent through the mail were over a week or so delayed and when I called to speak with them they said my case was closed bc it had been over so many days. So we set an appointment around 8:30am Dec 6th. Starting over.Where I provided my shelters agency letter providing their contact person and information. Pay stubs, birth certificate. This literally was a drop off appointment I did not talk with any case worker. Someone just took my forms and said to wait around 21 days for them to be processed. I called today and was told that they closed my case because it’s over 60days from the October date and that they refused my agency letter saying my agency has to fill out their specific letter. Actually it’s optional on the form if you don’t have one. I’m told I have to reapply ALL OVER AGAIN. I’ve had to take off work many times to get the homeless specific application it’s not something you can go online and neither are the supposedly required agency forms. So that would require me to take off work again and again and again. I’m very upset because either I’m dealing with people who are misinformed how to do their job, they hate their job or they are discriminating towards homeless. Or all of the above. Something is not right no case management. No email no letter no phone calls to me or my shelter. I’ve had it once before while at Star of Hope and I provided their agency letter so I know someone is dropping the ball or intentionally sabotaging applications.

Lara Dada Had to take my sister for blood work here since her stupid insurance doesnt cover anywhere closer to Richmond. Theres nowhere to park. Im not going across the street to be taken on a gulf cart. Thats ghetto. The employees can do that. Why should patients families that are already under a lot of pressure caring for their loved ones have to be inconvenienced even more. The rude security lady had me move while I was waiting to pick my sister up because I was blocking the empty metro van area. Obviously, I wouldve moved if the van arrived behind me. Please try to be more accommodating.

Rebecca Durham Parking has hardly ever been an issue for me. The parking garage has plenty of spaces. I have never needed to go any further than the first ramp. Today, March 10, 2025, theres a lot of construction in the parking lot, so its a little confusing when youre trying to get to an entrance you have used prior to the construction.

Micheal O Went here for a Coronary CT Angiogram. Best experience I have ever had doing such a procedure, or even a surgery. The nurse in the cardiology team was excellent and placed the catherer in only one attempt. It was pain-free on entry and thoughout the entire procedure, even the injection of dye only caused the absolute minimum amount of pain. It was pain free and I was able to use my arm 100% after two days. Proper infection control was taken and I did not have any illness or other complications from the procedure. The radiologist and nurses checked my status in-person after every part of the test (15-20 min intervals, 2 hour test) to make sure I was not sick or had a negative reaction from the dye or lying down for so long. 10/10 Experience and I would recommend LBJ and Harris Health to others in my family. Harris Health System is the best hospital system I have been to in Houston for care at every level.
5 /5
Dano Figueroa Mostly everyone is so nice here.... And you can feel the care they offer.... I can go to any hospital of my choosing, but I choose LBJ! And even though its out of my way to go there, it is tops in my book.... Put appointments to see specialists, really do take a very long time.... The system is flawed, but the staff is excellent.... However, the security guards at the main desk when you enter the hospital could brush up on their manners and tone.... There you have my two cents.... Do with them which you will....

I had my first appointment with Dr. Duarte this week. I was impressed with the ease and thoroughness of their new patient setup. His office staff was extremely efficient and professional. Their automated processes also impressed too as my prescription refill requests were confirmed by my local pharmacy before I left the doctors office. Best of all was Dr. Durate. He was extremely thorough, kind, and compassionate during my exam. He carefully explained my issues and treatment options. He truly cares about his patients and I now have a trusted professional to ensure I am getting the best healthcare possible.

Yolanda Braddock I made an appointment on 12/22 with a doctor at texas children’s pavilion for women to establish prenatal care. I provided my insurance information, I completed all the necessary pre-check steps. My appointment was today 1/23 at 8:45 am, I receive a call at 8:21 am informing me that they in fact do not take my insurance and I would have to pay $499 for the ultrasound and doctors visit. I am not mad that they didn’t take my insurance, I am disappointed in the fact that they called me 25 minutes prior to my appointment while I was on my way to inform me of this fact. I’m 10 weeks pregnant and I could have been scheduling an appointment somewhere else in the meantime if they had let me know prior to the day of. Now do I have not only not established prenatal care, but I took the day off of work for the two appointments. Their office is either very unorganized or something else is going on.

Even I learn something new every time we visit. Highly knowledgeable, extremely professional, always keeping up with the latest treatments and illnesses, very patient, and treats my children as if they were his own. Keeps my kids entertained as he carefully and thoroughly examines them while teaching one of his interns at the same time. My kids always look forward to their Dr visits with Dr. Farnie and have never been scared nor cried when getting their vaccines. My daughter especially loves the fact that she was able to transition from pediatrics to his general practice keeping him as her primary care physician.

Mrs. Hernandez This has been our clinic since 2009. Three children. What has come of ut? I’ve had appointments canceled multiple times by doctors. My smallest child has been the most ill of all my children, and she could be legit suffering and they don’t give anything to alleviate symptoms. Waste of time, gas, parking. I tried to give chance after chance, but each time I’m just disappointed. Even my appointments in adult medicine I have complaints. I used to love the care given here, but we’re taking our family elsewhere. Not worth it anymore. And yes, I’m highly disappointed with Ut.

J Kar Not a bad experience, the doctor who saw me was kind and professional but in short the welfare system sucks in several angles. I applied to this system because I couldn’t afford a regular/private physician. I had an outside doctors referral saying I needed surgery after my collar bone went into nonunion and formed and overlapping ball after a car accident. But this system told me that there was nothing they could do and just go to therapy. By Gods grace I function normally with some limitation and spurts of pain so I know someone’s lying. Save yourself the trouble and know that it’s a hit or miss with these people. Yes there’s several doctors that are righteous in this system still but they can only do so much. Some may Mock or Scoff, but from a faith perspective, you are not hopeless! If you are very sick this system will only do so much for you. Although this does nto apply to everyone, but besides natural causes, a lot of sickness comes from generational curses, curses we ourselves have spoken over others, intense hatred and bitterness piled up from years of torment (google it up, illnesses stemming from emotional issues) & ill misdeeds that can be reversed by renouncing all generational curses and curses spoken over others in Jesus name & making amends with anyone we may have abused in the past ! Also renouncing any generational poverty or even witchcraft! I know I’m sounding extreme but I don’t have a lot of space to explain how I completely understand how everyone’s case is different. Just a woman who cares and doesn’t want to see you relying on this system. NO SHAME IN NEEDING IT but whoever can hear me poverty is not your portion! And you shouldn’t have to put up with waiting a very long time to get the care you need! God bless!

Dora Magutti Alicante-Leon I have only been in the center two times now, both of which I have always been attended at registry by Kalila who I have to say is exceptional. She listens and most of all helpful. It might be too soon to say but I highly recommend this center to all my contacts.

ShitCreekSurvivor HTX Im pleasantly surprised how much this location has changed. I felt safe I was somewhat reluctant to come considering the neighborhood. The staff was ever so helpful and informative in explaining the process. They even provided a map to help along the way being my first time there. Doctor S. Mitra was very patient, listening to my concerns and addressed each one. I thought I would be here a couple of hours but I was in and out within a hour an 10 minutes. I definitely would recommend this place.

Brian Buster Exceptional Care and Dedication from the Ophthalmology Department! I recently had the pleasure of receiving care from the ophthalmology department, and I am compelled to share my profound appreciation for the elite team of doctors and assistants. The determination, commitment, and compassion they exhibited were unparalleled. After years of seeking help for my declining vision, they resolved my issue in just one day. At 26 years old, with rapidly deteriorating eyesight, I was feeling quite anxious. However, the team made me feel like I was part of their family, and their expertise provided me with the relief I desperately needed. Their unwavering dedication to patient care and their community deserves the highest recommendation. I sincerely hope the ophthalmology team is recognized for their remarkable efforts and the positive impact they have made on my life and many others. Thank you for your outstanding service! Sincerely, Brian Buster

Pillow Joseph Great on helping to receive financial aid to have services done at the clinic. However, the administrative staff is a joke. They consistently lie to you. Instead of being honest. If you don’t know say that! Don’t lie! And legacy do not respond to my post because I will not contact the compliance department because I’ve contacted them multiple times and nothing is ever done.

William Cano I wish Google offered a zero-star rating option. Some of the staff members show a lack of empathy and appear to be motivated only by their paychecks, treating patients however they wish. If you can find a different community health center, I strongly recommend going with that choice. The front desk staff and personnel are very disappointing. Its important to remember that Legacy Community Health, as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), receives government funding through the Health and Human Services (HHS).

Adrian M. Gallegos - Nurse gave me someone else’s HIV Positive test results. When I gave the paper back to the nurse, she was indifferent about her grave mistake. - Nurse gave me inaccurate bloodwork results and realized this when I went to check on the online portal and called them out on it in follow up appointment. - Scheduled me for two same-day appointments, however, was denied treatment on second appointment because I was already seen once that day, wasting over an hour in waiting. - They make you see a specialist for a simple anti-depressant (not SSRI, not benzo). Seems like they just want take more money and pass you around like a hot potato. Still got it after pleading with the doctor of my critical need and she still proceeded to scold me like a child for reacting with frustration and anxiety. All these events happened over a number of years and I’ve been going since 2015. Enough is enough. Incompetent!

Sabrina Martinez Honestly the worst and most unprofessional clinic I’ve been to. I visited 3 times and got turned away each time. The second time the receptionist just said we’re at capacity so come back at 2 came back at 2 explained to another receptionist what happened just for them to tell me I had to make an appointment because they’re at capacity again. The nurse there just stood in front of us and said ohh I’ll let yall handle that that’s not my business. They didn’t try to resolve the situation or help at all. What’s the point of being a same day clinic if you can’t see sick patients the same day.

Richard Simmons A Wonderful Clinic Experience with Caring Staff, but Arrival Time Matters I have been to Harris Health Same Day Clinic multiple times, and each visit has been nothing short of wonderful. The professionalism and care displayed by the nurses and doctors have truly impressed me. However, there is one aspect of the clinic’s operations that I feel should be communicated more clearly to avoid inconveniences. First and foremost, the staff at Harris Health Same Day Clinic are truly exceptional. Their expertise and compassion are evident in every interaction. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and cared for. The nurses were attentive, taking the time to listen to my concerns and explain the procedures. The doctors were thorough in their examinations, providing clear explanations and offering appropriate treatment options. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff’s dedication to patient care. That being said, there is a crucial aspect of the clinic’s advertised hours that I believe needs to be clarified. While the clinic advertises being open until 8pm, I would strongly advise arriving hours earlier to ensure you are seen. Today I was turned away due to the clinic reaching its capacity for the day. This can be quite frustrating, especially when one has made the effort to travel to the clinic only to be denied medical attention. Therefore, my recommendation to Harris Health Same Day Clinic is to improve the communication regarding their operating hours. It would be immensely helpful if they made it clear that although they close at 8pm, patients should arrive hours earlier to guarantee being seen. This way, people can plan their visits accordingly and avoid disappointment or unnecessary travel difficulties. In conclusion, my experiences at Harris Health Same Day Clinic have been consistently positive. The staff’s professionalism and genuine care have been exemplary. However, it is important for the clinic to communicate more explicitly about the need to arrive early to secure a spot for treatment. By doing so, they can ensure that patients have a smoother experience and avoid the inconvenience of being turned away.

Bazil Battledragon Lack of compassion ,lack of clear understanding between Dr and patient as the Dr could not speak clear and consise Eng. There is no one to help handicapped patients walk from parking lot to the building. The check in process is relatively fast but the care is sub par. I dont often give a single star but in this instance it is deserved. Id send a zero score but unfortunately this facility definately deserves it. I was suffering from severe sunburns on my feet ,unable to safely walk or converse normally because of intense pain. It goes in one ear and out the other. Consider other health care providers. This one is a health risk.

Evangelist *TEE* I moved away to another state. 2022. I attended this clinic for 5 yrs. Dr Cochran took good care of me and made me feel secure in spite of the system setup.. Some of the nurses were soooo helpful and kind. Kim in radiology was ALWAYS HELPFUL AND KIND.. MEDICAL RECORDS never sent my New Dr my medical records as requested and I signed a release prior to leaving and my Dr sent a new one as well... I had endure all new test and California helped me walk again. I finally saw an orthopedic without being told I need to lose weight first. The system is not great. But, Dr Susan Cochran & her team at the time were very caring...

Billie Duncan My youngest son is also a patient here, and the kindness and care he has received is above and beyond all reasonable expectations. As for my personal experience (other than a doctor who was away with no one to cover his practice when I had Covid and was unable to get Paxlovid to mitigate the symptoms), I have nothing but praise for the depth of good care I have received.

Benjamin Broward As a whole its a clinic. But when you ask them for help to join a go fund me page so that I can start a Foundation to pay for the debt from student loans, CRICKETS. 4 days ago I drove across town to launch my page and shared my page and my inspiration to do this for the nurses at Casa, and all nurses in the Texas Medical Center with who i thought was a family to me at Casa, I guess I was wrong. For 12 years my wife and I have been showing our love and appreciation to the staff of Casa De amigo clinic. But like I said not a single mention or donation to my page. All I want to do is make lives easier for the nurses in The Texas Medical Center and host an annual National Nurses Day celebration at Rice Stadium by paying off their student loans and yet notta. Zero. Zip nothing from anyone. Honestly, Im surprised and shocked that no cares to help. I drive past many Harris Health clinics one only 1 1/2 miles from my house (Valbona) to go to Casa De Amigo. Not anymore. Id rather suffer an unmanageable pain on my own from anything than go back to a family of 12 years that doesnt seem to respect or appreciate what Im trying to do. My aunt spent her career as a nurse and in The Texas Medical Center,,her last 20 at Ben Taub as a OR/ICU charge nurse. Thats who the foundation would be named after. Shed be extremely upset with Harris Health if she was alive. So goodbye Casa,Ill miss you. If I could afford to not rely on the gold card,Id leave Harris Health. Thats how upset I am
