Tau Ceti

With Love, Angelique Epic photo op with this beautiful mural! I had the opportunity to be a part of a group dance that was filmed here. The mural provided a beautiful backdrop!

Botanical Gates of Paradise

Hunter Hren Worth visiting once, wouldn’t go more than that. Diverse species present on the grounds. Can see koi, bonsai, bamboo, and more. Parking is easy and there is a visitor center.

Republic Square

Carrie Wolford There is a nice farmer’s market at Republic Square on Saturdays 9-1pm. Nice vendors. There was also a cinco de mayo festival when we were there.

Museum of the Weird

Shannon Felder The Museum of the Weird is exactly what it promises—weird, wonderful, and totally worth it. It’s this great little spot just off Sixth Street (you might almost miss it if you’re not looking—kind of like it’s hiding in plain sight, which honestly just adds to the mystery). The place is packed with all kinds of oddball charm—classic sideshow stuff, vintage creepiness, and things that make you say, “Wait… what am I looking at?” It’s affordable, low-key, and super fun. Like, where else can you walk past a two-headed animal, a frozen caveman, and then get a live mini-show at the end? It’s got big “Austin stays weird” energy, and I loved every second. Cheap, weird, and unforgettable. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in town and want something different. You won’t leave smarter, but you will leave smiling.

Texas Capitol

Ramin Homyak ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A grand and iconic building in the heart of Austin! The Texas Capitol is a stunning piece of architecture—made from granite and marble, with a beautiful rotunda and dome that make it feel both historic and majestic. The grounds are well-kept and spacious, perfect for a peaceful stroll. Inside, you can explore the House and Senate chambers, and the immersive view of the building from above is absolutely breathtaking. Located at 1100 Congress Ave, Austin, TX, the Capitol is part of the Texas Confederate Memorial Lawn, which adds a historical layer to your visit. It’s currently closed but opens daily at 7 AM—plan to come early to beat the crowds. Definitely a must-see for anyone visiting Austin or interested in Texas history.

Texas Capitol Visitors Center

Sorna Chocks We went on a Sunday, the free tours start from 12:30PM it was informative. The building has so much history, it is well maintained and cleaned, we loved it. Got a chance to see the courtroom, library and assembly! Perfect photoshoot location! The parking garage is very close to the building, it was free on Sunday.

K1 Speed - Indoor Go Karts, Food, Games, and Things to Do In Austin

Alex Pappas While down in Austin, i thought Id give K1 Speed - Indoor Go Karts a try as I heard some raves about it from a couple of buddies of mine down there. The hype was indeed quite real, especially with the bundle deal of two races (24 laps as one race is equal to 12 laps). It was a blast racing with my party. The area is quite spacious and has a ton of activities for any one of all ages.

Haunted ATX Austin Ghost Tours

Luci Piraro I’ve been on tons of tours (ghost and otherwise) and Loretta is by far the best guide I’ve experienced. She puts great care into her storytelling and has clearly done a lot of research to make this a haunted history tour and not just an evening of ghost stories. What we witnessed in the basement of the Clay Pit (personally my first ever paranormal experience) can only have happened due to the respect Loretta shows to the lives of the spirits she introduces you to. I was so excited to ride around in a hearse with my friends for a few hours but had no idea that that would just be the icing on the cake. I can’t recommend this tour enough.
