This team went way out of their way to get me back on the road, and didnt beat me up on the price. I can not thank them enough. They made me feel like family, and earned a loyal customer and friend.

1 /5 Kevin Mease: The team at this shop is friendly and generally pleasant to work with, which I truly appreciate. However, I’ve experienced several issues that raise concerns about the quality of their work and communication practices. On multiple occasions, there were problems following service—such as loose bolts and even a battery that was not reconnected. I also shared photos highlighting issues with the turbo installation, but never received a response. Communication has been a consistent struggle; getting updates often requires repeated follow-ups, and accountability is lacking. In one case, I was told I needed a new hydraulic pump, but it turned out to be a simple $115 hose replacement. The shop had even offered to buy the machine from me—at a significantly reduced price—based on their incorrect diagnosis. No other mechanics worked on the machine during this time, so the responsibility for the misdiagnoses and the faulty turbo installation lies solely with this shop. When I returned to report that the turbo they installed had already failed, I was told it wasn’t possible. Only after pressing for a second opinion—something I had to initiate—was the issue acknowledged. They did reply to my review, but failed to address the specific problems I raised post-installation. Efforts to follow up and provide clear evidence of the issues were ignored. It’s been difficult to reach anyone directly, and the shop has refused to take responsibility for recent work. There have been recent changes in management, and I sincerely hope those changes lead to improvements in both quality and customer communication.

5 /5 Mark Aspenleiter: I was told that in life you only need 3 things. A good woman, a dog and a good mechanic. Well, the wife left, the dog died but I do believe that I was able to nail the 3rd. I found Garcia’s Diesel to do a simple diagnostic on my truck, a Ford F350 6.7 liter diesel, that had been in an accident caused by a blowout on the freeway. The original collision center “fixed” it and gave it back. Fun fact, it wasn’t “fixed”. After months of back and forth with my insurance company and the collision center it was concluded that I needed to get a diagnostic done to find out if there was anything wrong. Mind you, the collision center assured me that everything was fixed and that they thought my concerns were all in my head. Enter Garcia’s Diesel. They got me in and within 5 minutes of looking at my truck determined that there was a lot wrong. Like fraud level wrong. Like the front end, which was supposed to be fixed, was about to fall off wrong. Now, this is the point where I could’ve been taken advantage of. But what happened was the crew of the shop seemed just as mad about the situation as me. The owner, John Garcia along with the operations manager Trent Hulsey and their skilled diesel mechanic Scott, assured me that they would assist in any way they could as the long process of fighting with the insurance company (USAA) to get them to make my truck right. Assisting them was the office manager Laurne Ashelin who has experience with insurance claims, specifically with USAA, and was able to navigate the process to make sure that all the information gathered was properly documented so that the insurance had no choice but to make things right. Along the way they also found something else going on that I’d been dealing with that could’ve been catastrophic. They were able to work with me to correct that problem in the most cost-effective and cost-efficient way avoiding a much more expensive, and possibly fatal, issue with the truck. You Ford Powerstroke owners, change your CCV filter. If you don’t know what that is, google it because it needs to be changed. Above and beyond is a rare thing in the business of garages. These folks get it. They weren’t working on my Truck. They were gaining a customer for life. And in a difficult time made sure that I knew they were on my side and committed to getting me back on the road. In the word of Johns wife, Katlynne, I’m not just a customer, I’m family. And to be honest, through this entire process, I felt like it. 5 Stars isnt enough.

You know how it is when youve got a classic beast like my 61 GMC 1500 – a real looker, but with a modern heart transplant thanks to that sweet-singing 5.3 LS1 and a trusty 4L60 tranny. Finding a shop that can handle that kind of Frankenstein build without scratching their heads or charging you an arm and a leg? Its like finding a unicorn in a junkyard. But let me tell you, Ive found em. These guys? They *get* it. They didnt bat an eye when I rolled in with my old-school iron packing new-school muscle. They just nodded, probably thinking, "Yeah, thats how you do it." Trustworthy? Absolutely. Ive been burned before by shops that seem to find ten new problems every time they touch your ride. Not these guys. Theyre straight shooters. They tell you whats what, no BS. And reliable? Man, when they say theyll get it done, they get it done. No excuses, no delays. They treat your rig like its their own. And the communication? Top-notch. They kept me in the loop every step of the way. No more wondering whats going on with your baby. They call, they text, they explain things in a way that even a weekend warrior like me can understand. Now, lets talk brass tacks: the price. Look, quality work aint free, but these guys are reasonable. You feel like youre getting your moneys worth, and thats saying something when youre dealing with a custom setup like mine. So, if youre rocking a semi that needs some serious attention, or if youve got a classic car or truck with a twist – something that needs a little more finesse than your average oil change – these are the folks to see. I wouldnt hesitate to send my grandmas Cadillac (if she had one) their way. Theyve earned my trust, and thats the highest praise a gearhead like me can give. You want it done right, the first time? They have worked / continue to work on my ram 3500, and continue to give me the best pricing and have also made me feel at home and like family. The mechanics are honest and straight forward and take the time to explain each process to you so you understand what is going on, the owners are hands down the most down to earth and humble people you will ever meet and would give you the shirt off of their backs. The front office manager Lauren is always welcoming and very responsive to my calls and messages. The shop manager Trent is always helpful and has always been very honest with me on pricing of my repairs and flexible on when I’m able to afford the next steps of my repairs needed. I recently found out they host truck / car shows once a month and invite everyone out and I’m super excited to attend the next one.
