4 /5 David Hurst: Took two vehicles to Royals. The first vehicle needed an exhaust system rebuilt. The work performed was of high quality and the price quoted was the price charged.
The second vehicle needed a coolant system flush and a valve cover gasket replaced. I was quoted 600 dollars. During the process, Royal called and said l need a mass O2 sensor and a themostat. Both parts cost less than 100 dollars. I am thinking the total bill tax, parts and labor would be around 900 to 1000 dollars. Got bill for $1348, Which he reduced to $1284. Work was performed well, but when you give your word on a price, you should honor it. Several times in my work career l have lost money on a job, but l never lost my word.
That said, l would still take a vehicle to him for work, just would have a firm price quoted and in writing before work.
