5 /5 Brie Dodson: My late father always used Shelby’s for inspections, so we did the same. I liked how we were treated there, and felt comfortable. I liked how they dealt with us. So later, when some problems developed with “Miss Blue,” we took her there. We were very pleased with everything about that rather complicated series of repairs. We felt that Josh Cook, the general manager, was very straightforward about the issues at hand, and he also did some nice things that would later help highlight potential issues he saw. We also appreciated Sonyas telling us, without our even having to ask, that the repairs were guaranteed, and that Shelbys keeps its own records so we wouldnt have to worry about bringing in paperwork.
One thing I really liked was that Josh started out by offering us options that would save us money. I ended up asking for more expensive solutions that worked better for me overall. That was my choice, and we have been very happy with the results. I felt like Josh was looking out for us the whole time.
Today, however, takes the cake (with extra frosting). We brought Miss Blue back to Shelbys, as she hadn’t been feeling well. Turned out she didn’t need some things we feared she might. A less scrupulous business might have just replaced those things regardless, given our concern. Shelby’s explained that they were fine, no replacement needed. But Miss Blue did need a somewhat involved repair for another issue we had noted. It would be costly enough that we had some decisions to make and thinking to do.
Sonya worked with me very patiently to answer my questions and concerns, and then Josh took the time to explain the problem in detail and go over my options. He then took even more time offline to research cost estimates for each of them. I felt good about how straightforward he was in explaining the problem in terms I could understand, and then outlining my options in an equally straightforward fashion.
We chose an option that left me feeling good. I want to say that it is really nice to know that there is a service center we can trust unequivocally. They have always done right by us. I do trust Shelbys, and I would recommend that anyone with a car problem have them diagnose it first.
