5 /5 Amy Gustafson: We sat on the hillside near the bridge, and when the bats started coming out, they continued for 40 minutes or so. I did not like the boats shining red lights on the bats to make them come out. I believe it interferes with their own patterns. Nobody likes to be wakened that way, why would we do it to any creature? Let them come out on their own, and enjoy their flight! Fascinating, fun and wonderful to watch!

5 /5 Greg Arnold: Great spot to see the bats. Parking is nearby and has reasonable prices for 2 hours. Get there early before you lose the light. This was the highlight of my trip here!

5 /5 Ian Granado: Please be advised that the odor of guano is quite potent. I arrived a bit too early, as there was no accurate indication of when they would emerge from beneath the bridge, but I was able to indulge in an overpriced ice cream treat for myself and my family. Other vendors provided live music, while another offered caricature drawings. If you wish to avoid a wait, it is advisable to arrive at sunset. And dont forget the bug spray.

5 /5 Steve Takata: The largest urban free-tailed bat colony in the world, so it has to get 5 stars. It can be a bit of a zoo with all the people there and it can be difficult to park. The bats emerge at unpredictable times but you can usually see them from mid spring until mid fall. On a good night you can see columns of millions of bats trailing into the distance.
