1 /5 Christopher Sloan: During my lunch hour, I drove my perfectly functioning truck in for a quick oil change on a Tuesday with no other cars in line ahead of me. After paying for the oil change, the truck had no oil pressure when I went to drive it away. So I was stuck there for 2 hours while they tried to fix whatever they broke (see video). Then the store manager treated me like I was an idiot when he tried to tell me my oil pump mustve gone out while it was in their bay and that they wouldnt cover the cost. Finally, after I insisted they would be paying for the repair, he had me sign a paper that would absolve them of any costs unless I could absolutely prove they broke it. Then, I had to be towed to Triple Crown Ford service department and get a ride from my wife back to work (3 hours total). The Ford service department manager said that Bruners failed to replace a part (plunger) they removed during the oil change, which caused the oil pressure problem. A part was ordered, and I was stuck until Friday without a vehicle. I called the Bruners car dealership on Wednesday to find out what they could do and to give them the opportunityto make it right; no offer for a rental or loaner, no refund on the oil change, no compensation for loss of hours at work, relying on friends for rides to work for 3 days, changing meetings I normally would drive to all week. On Friday afternoon, and I cant get my truck released from Ford until Bruners pays the repair bill. The Ford dealer has to call Bruners for a purchase order before I could go get my truck that Bruners broke! I cant give zero stars, or I would. This was a nightmare oil change experience, and I can not believe a locally owned business treats community members like this! Its shameful and despicable! In telling others about my experience, I have discovered this level of incompetence is actually normal at this place of business. I just cant believe the level of poor customer service on top of that. NEVER get your oil changed here unless you can afford to be without a vehicle for a few days, and you dont mind being treated like youre a moron by incompetent technicians and uncaring managers. Oh, and if you expect an apology for poor service and incompetence, you wont get one here!
