5 /5 Brre Wright: All it took was one visit, one shampoo session, one haircut and many beautiful conversations, from the moment he started to the moment I walked out that door, it was unlike any experience I’ve ever had. I trust very few to care for my hair as I’ve had tons of bad haircuts and dye jobs. I’ve been in countless salon chairs with stylists that I felt I knew more about hair then they did (and I don’t know a lot) only to leave and wish I never got my hair done telling myself “ well it’ll grow back”. The knowledge J-son has is unmatched by literally anyone in the east texas area. He knows hair, deeply, passionately and intuitively. This is a stylist I have literally dreamed about having and i finally found him and I will NOT be going to anyone else for my hair care needs any longer. Not only is he an amazing stylist, but his personality and just overall demeanor is like finding a diamond in a field of quartz, lots of fakes out there, but he’s a real one, the realest honestly. Zen and Beauty has my undying support and I would follow them to the ends of the earth! J-son is worth every single penny he charges and even more! You will not find an experience like this anywhere close, so choose J-son, choose Zen!

J-son is a one-of-a-kind person with skills that will constantly amaze you. I consistently get compliments on my hair and all I can do is thank J-son. The shampoo is a magical experience and the cut and style are, bar none, the best you will ever have. You will absolutely kick yourself for not coming here sooner. It is a home away from home where you get a fabulous new look and make a wonderful friend in the process. 10/10 will forever recommend.

Meeting him was like reuniting with a long time friend you had not seen in a while. He was not only kind,warm and welcoming (along with Kyle), but gave selflessly of his time and tools to give me a tailored, personalized experience. He is the first stylist to EVER consult with me about personal wishes, goals and hair texture/type to fit the cut he was going to give me. He did not only give me an exceptional cut and style that i was easily able to recreate myself the next day, but he even explained to me how to style my hair differently, which i have never been able to do until now. J-son is a wealth of knowledge in his field and an honest businessman and artist who understands the value of good customer service. 5 /5 Linda Ragland: After being in Athens at Zen and Beauty ( yes I drive back 200 miles ) because J-son is worth every mile and minute to get my hair cut and colored !! Plus you also get to enjoy wonderful time with J-son who does everything he can to make sure you enjoy your experience!! They absolutely go above and beyond to make sure you are safe in his salon !! He also gives the best shampoo and I mean best shampoo!! That alone is another wonderful experience that no one else does !! I have been a stylist since 1966 and I know what I know !!
