El Gato This school is by far one of the least recommended I have gone to. Firstly, there is a RAT and a ROACH infestation, so we cant eat in the classrooms. Now, not eating in the classroom should go unsaid but not to prevent pests from entering the classroom. Its too normalized and is not talked about enough. While, yes, pest control does come to the school once a year, their actions are barely reflected on our day to day life. There is reports of mice in the hallways, theater, and art classrooms. As for the roaches, theyre seen in crevices, on the wall, its absolutely insane. Next, the poor economical decisions made by the school. Tell me why we have three TVs in the cafeteria that play the same PowerPoint presentation but the school lunch barely looks edible besides a few things. With the addition of Bobcat Hour and the "snack line" the school is a bit more enjoyable but it doesnt take away from the main issues that are present. The athletics program seems to be good, having that the soccer team is now managed by coaches here and not Dawson. A concern though is how its not separated into 7th and 8th grades teams like other sports. The education here is... not the best. For starters, the 8th grade science teachers are much worse than compared to the 7th grade ones. One has a tik tok account, one reads off a PowerPoint, and the other cant control her students. The math teachers for 8th graders are not as bad as the science ones. Though if you are in advanced math (PAP Algebra 1) youll be forced to watch series of video notes rather than be directly taught by the teachers themselves. History teachers are pretty good, the three of them seem to know what theyre talking about. ELA teachers, mostly just assign Quill or Study Syncs rather than again, directly teach their students that have large knowledge gaps on basic grammar. The drama and rumors spread throughout the school is inescapable and influences the school deeply. Overall, for a junior high I would not recommend going here if youre considering options.

Fredrick Llenos About to graduate from here. My experience here was horrible. The food was horrible except for a few meals. Algebra sucks. Youre supposed to teach in a classroom. Not tell the kids to watch videos. The only fun Ive had here was playing with friends. You rarely get good and fun teachers. And boys PE is way different from girls. The girls get roller skating and cpr. While the boys only get basketball and ultimate football and matball. And sometimes the coach just puts balls out and lets us play.
