Abnry Acehilm The only thing I got out of UNT was a bunch of student debt and a piece of paper. Politics were taught far more in classes than anything useful for my major or the general working environment. Terrible school, terrible city, and an overall negative experience.

Vandicoup The epitome of the fall of "higher learning institutions" in the modern day. I am a proud, 2-time dropout of this God-forsaken, trash campus and it is truly a trash "institution", if you can even call it that. Very much an over-sized community college but WAY worse because at least community colleges are affordable and DONT waste your valuable, limited time on this green Earth. Parking is next to nonexistent, unless youre rich. Their "Acceptance Rate" is now at 80%. When I went, both times, it was just barely above 70%. Says a lot. Its been like this and its only gotten worse. They definitely do extort you for all that youre worth, before you struggle your whole life under their mountain of debt, of course. Could not EVER park without getting fined THREE times. Me and my Mom had to fight with them CONSTANTLY on issues that were clearly their own doing, such as the rampant acceptance + their own parking spots having faded out, thus resulting in me and other students parking "incorrectly" at times. You can BARELY see the markings, its insane how they refused to re-paint their stuff for YEARS!! I think only NOW they finally "fixed" it. Too late. And some parking staff were pretty rude, combative, back-talked me and refused to give any refunds or even see my point of view on the matter. I literally took pictures and it was clear as day the marks were faded as ALL get-out, come on give me a break. Also, we are not paying several thousands, and even tens of thousands, for basic textbooks and classes I already took, and EXCELLED at, back in high school—with just having to pay the standard, mandatory taxes my parents had to pay and contribute for me to be enrolled in. UNT absolutely squeezes every last cent out of you before the student loans kick in, that is for certain. Might be anywhere from $44,000-88,000 "total" in "tuition", but none of you factor in the insane, asinine and infuriating "fees", "fines" and "additional expenses" were also forced to pay, whether youre a citizen or int student. Im sorry, but most of us arent billionaires, or even millionaires at that. Most of us also have jobs to be at, so I dont appreciate the Professors who force us to be in class on weekends or on days where our work schedules conflict. Do you even remember how school was like for you or are you just that privileged and rich to even fathom such a reality? Terrible roads they never fix, maaany of their buildings LEAK, have EXPOSED WIRING and are dirty, stink and rotten beyond all that is good and holy. Even more rude and overly aggressive and trashy staff, kicking me out of a meeting room at the Union during my lunch break. The door was unlocked, so I thought I could use it temporarily to get away from the crowds as Im extremely socially anxious and generally hate crowds, and from sitting on the floors since the chairs are always completely taken because again: the *rampant acceptance rates.* But yes, sorry, I didnt know Im not allowed to be in there, but why do you have be so angry, loud and demeaning towards me for that? It was a young Black woman, at that. Appalling behavior and should be re-trained and reprimanded, forthwith. 1 weird English Professor who yelled at students for no reason and never could answer any of our questions in a satisfactory way whatsoever, completely useless. I did love MOST of the other Students + Professors, however. Dr. Cheney is the BEST and deserves SO MUCH MORE! Anyways, 2 stars is HIGHLY generous here, but above all, I just simply thank the Lord every day I dropped out for the 2nd and final time. Never coming back, that is for sure. Goodbye and good riddance. It is 2025 and I am doing better than I ever have before without a degree and I could not be more at peace with myself. Learn a trade(s), go to community college or just teach yourself at this point. None of this is worth even a morsel of your time, money and effort these days. Sad, but true. Those who deny these truths are living in an alternate reality from the rest of us. Must be nice to be rich.

Christopher Slavin Youre very nice quiet clean university where installing ADA plumbing fixtures everyone is friendly and helpful it looks like a very nice university. The kids were practicing their orchestra instruments yesterday and I swore it was a radio that somebody had on loudly yet when the door was opened I saw all the kids playing and I was amazed by how talented they are sounded amazing. Its very close today center of Denton a nice small town that has access to everything imaginable stores entertainment everything close by and within minutes of each other and the food here is great.

Abigail Cazares Ive experienced ongoing issues with staff interactions across several departments at the school. Responses over the phone are often delayed, and when answered, the tone can come across as dismissive or unfriendly. Additionally, parking has been extremely frustrating—even with a $200 maroon parking pass, finding a spot can take an excessive amount of time, often requiring multiple trips around campus. It feels like the pass doesn’t guarantee access to adequate parking, which is very disappointing.

aamenah mohammed When I called for help on the phone, a representative Julie helped me out an immense amount. She went above and beyond to help me understand what classes to take and what would work best with my schedule, she was not an advisor yet she was doing the job as one and really seemed like she cared! I hope she gets a raise or bonus cause she’s amazing at her job

Jeremy Brown Do not go to the Corinth campus in Denton they are bias and racist the instructor will try to sabotage u from completing the course if she doesn’t like u or have problem with u told there bosses I wasn’t learning anything after being there for three weeks told me lies about how they test and wasn’t teaching me the proper way and was treating other students better then me would make awkward comments to me to other students and her bosses told I couldn’t not test or finish the training cause the instructor wasn’t treating me fairly and would allow other students to do things but make it a problem for me to do it her name is lanessa Zackery her is a horrible teacher

Susan Moore Rude, condescending, ableist staff and faulty websites. Brings shame to the name of UNT, and has set back disabled peoples decades.

Joseph Cancino The staff truly cares and listens. It can sometimes be difficult to discuss disabilities and determine the requests needed to make us successful, this department and staff cares and makes this difficult process easier. All interactions Ive had, theyve listened and guided me on what I needed to do with a patient and sincere hand. I encourage if you think you need them or are unsure, just ask. They are always friendly, truly care and will help.

Bear Go somewhere else to study engineering. The program is a complete joke. Im a senior electrical engineering student, most of the professors are too preoccupied in their research to actually teach, or respond to emails. Additionally, they have a bunch of first year professors who are totally clueless. Edit: they also dont do an adequate job weeding out the freeloaders. theyre passing and curving grades for lots of people who shouldnt be engineers. Very low standards for what passes for an "engineer" nowadays apparently..

Todd Hooper I attended a conference here. The facilities are clean and there are a lot of padded benches along the hallway, so it was easy to relax between sessions. I do have one complaint though. The rooms don’t have proper podiums and the computers are awkwardly placed in the corner of the rooms, so it’s not ideal for presenting.

Diamond Mayberry I live here (as of 19-20). This is a really quiet hall, youre not really going to talk to your hallmates and nobody comes to events. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and maintenance always comes super fast! However, the washers ALWAYS flood over or stop working completely. This is located directly across from the police station. Also, the vending machines break at least once every two weeks.
