Big Mac Attack Best school in the nation for Business, Cyber Security, and Engineering. Top school for Military and Veteran students as well. Everything you need and looking for is close proximity to campus. Malls, shops, restaurants, Six Flags, and Sea World. If youre not here, then what are you doing with your life? Very rich and diverse campus, with plenty of opportunities all around. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. The food is really good at the Roadrunner Cafe too. Dont listen to the negative reviews. Get here now!

Dan Pleger I can not give an honest opinion on this university yet because I am still in the process of getting a degree. Once I graduate, I can give an actual rating. The campus itself is nice, and there are a lot of decent places to eat. Parking is like every other university or college its not great and late comers, and afternoon class goers have a harder time finding parking. If youre young and single, I would recommend getting into a dorm or college apartment so you can utilize the public transportation they have to ease your own burden of dealing with parking.

Sunshine CrystalKitties Cool place, lots of services to aid such as the advocacy center, mental health resources, advisors, cafeterias, school store, clubs, a small gym, and so much more. Ive got a few semesters still, but I really like the memories I make with my friends here. Walking around and seeing the nature and squirrels is calming. I have a fear of squirrels but they havent harmed me yet lol. Theyre cute. Only downsides are the aces website sometimes doesnt work, it also no longer lets me schedule appointments with my advisor on the AlamoNavigate, saying theres no available appointments any time for even months later. So talking with my advisor can be a little tricky. As well as the prices can be expensive in the store.. but other than that, I recommend coming here. Real great place to go to school at with friends and even make friends. Below are some attached photos of some art pieces in the art building and nature pictures from campus. Shout out to the volunteers from eco centro, helping plant stuff and help the place look beautiful! As well as those who help the cats on campus. I love occasionally finding a cat by the advocacy and petting them. Fun, cool, helpful place!

Candice Robertson Go Armadillos!!! San Antonio College is the best!! They care about their students and have so many programs for all situations that may arise. The RTVB program is state of the art in classes, instructors, and equipment. The hands-on experience is line no other around. Best of all there is an actual Radio Station on Campus KSYM 90.1. check it out on KSYM.org or get the KSYM app. You will love it!!!

jasmyn ashworth It seems that not a single person knows anything about anything at this school. You will be referred to a department for them to give you an attitude, get angry and, tell you, you called the wrong department and then transfer you to another department just for them to do the same thing. You will be referred or transferred to 5 different departments going in circles until someone actually has the answer youre looking for. The website and phone system is an actual nightmare! So much so that I am highly considering going elsewhere due to lack of communication or guidance especially for it being my first time enrolling into college. I decided to change my major before actually enrolling for the Spring 2025 semester and was first told I needed to come in person to fill out the form to change majors but was sent the form to fill out online the previous day, a prime example of the lack of communication between anyone. After explaining that I was sent the form to fill out online I was met with an attitude (just as I am in every single department I reach out too) and she goes on to tell me that it going to take a whole semester to update my major so I wont be able to enroll until Summer 2025. This has been the biggest joke of my life and a huge waste of my time. I have not one single good thing to say about the whole process and I am not even enrolled yet!! Take your education somewhere else and save yourself the headache!

Staff for my family and I have always been helpful from pointing parents to the right direction, to asking a simple question like, "Where are the restrooms?" Ring ceremony during Covid was planned out PERFECTLY! Were just so happy our son will break the mold and graduate locally and better his future. More than mom and dad did. I have not one complaint! Thanks!

Esteban Huron PROS: Professors are great. Campus is beautiful. Students are okay. CONS: Their Criminology Bachelor of Science program doesnt lay out the entire list of classes youll need to take. So, youll get to your "senior" semester just to find out youll need four additional classes or so just to complete the 120 credit requirement required by the state...EVEN THOUGH youve completed all courses within the program. Their advisors are also never available unless youre a high school student. Theyve got time and patience if youre fresh out of 12th grade. Otherwise, good luck speaking to an advisor that: 1. Has time within a month to meet 2. Doesnt lack the professionalism to speak to you like an adult instead of speaking to you like youre a child 3. Has people-person skills versus a person with brain rot, cant make eye contact, speaks as fast as they type, etc.

Doesnt hurt anything that I am fortunate enough to be a sophomore going to school with my brother and father who are both seniors this year! This college truly cares about you and you life to become a successful graduate! The faculty will always be around to help you achieve a solid GPA! And the grounds are so beautiful with downtown San Antonio being a 5 minute drive away you are at the hub of beautiful city! I am a student going for a masters degree in accounting and am so fortunate as to find many mentors here! I would absolutely recommend this college to be your first choice at better a better education! As well as receiving financial aid that I have a free ride for my first 3 out of 5 years!

Darling Romo-Lopez This is a "must see" in your list of places to go during the holidays when in San Antonio. The lights are gorgeous and bright, not like the dim wimpy lights on the Riverwalk. The good news is that its free, so load up the family, put some Christmas music on and enjoy the drive!

Christopher Diaz Left here several years ago with an associates degree in 2017, I mostly had a bad time here. Many of the Professors were abrasive and rude, but not all of them were. Lab people however were kind. I remember the library staff were so dry and rude. It felt like I was attending an institution in New York. Financial aid used to say things in a way that was so fast, it made me used to record talking to them with my phone. Hopefully things have changed since I’ve left this place. I recommend this community college if you really want to prepare someone for how really rude the real world is. Lastly, don’t major in film production, it’s a waste of time @ NVC.

Education is your personal responsibility at the college level so the classes and tutor labs are amazing. I have never thought I would make it to college but here I am! 4.0 gpa . I would advise traffic does get pretty bad between 7am-9am and 4pm-6pm. but thats everywhere!

Jay Bee Wow, at first glance you wouldnt think this campus is as large as it is. I noticed several learning centers, a huge Student Center, at least 7 modern buildings blended in with what appeared to be some historic buildings, and at least one gym. I suspect there is another but never found it. The campus extends, vertically, at least 3 blocks. There is a huge lawn right in the center for students. Very impressive small college.

Kay Admission process is trash. It was a struggle to get in for 2 years. I have 2 years of previous college education from a U.S. territory university and wanted to have it transferred over to apply for a program. The TSI step was what I wanted to bypass because Ive taken Statistics and College English. I put in an online request for a TSI exemption since Ive taken math and english before, and got no update. A month in a half ago, I try again to get into St Philips. Blanca Padilla said shed hurry the process to get my math credit evaluated at the chair and told me that if it DOES transfer over, I still have to take a college algebra course because the program I wanted to try for was very specific on the math prereq being algebra. My goal was that it (at least) satisfies the TSI exemption criteria so I can get advising done and register for prereq classes I have yet to complete before enrolling into the program. I waited a whole month in a half. No call, no update. So I call myself. Only to find out something happened and I gotta wait for a second evaluation. So dont bother trying to enroll here if you have previous college credits to transfer over. Its a whole run-around and a headache. Im better off going to CHCP or another institution that costs more but reaches my expectations on communication and education.

L C Rosas Ive had problems from the very start, from Alamo colleges having 2 accounts/ banner ids that caused problems and delays in getting registered, to my first set of classes. Instructor had me on his roster twice, causing issues with my grading, that now 3 weeks into class, has still not been resolved. Im taking prerequisites so I can transfer to the nursing program. If Galen wasnt so much more money Id have just done their program, instead of dealing with the red tape and passing of the buck with Alamo Colleges Do not recommend

Jimmy Holloway Mixed feelings about this place due to the underfunding of the campus, along with other factors. Additionally, even tho I understand & appreciation that the college is trying to get high schoolers ahead by offering them early access to college credits & stem courses, the mixing of high schoolers with college students of all ages might lead to problematic outcomes for various reasons. Lastly, the VA rep Vincent Bosquez is a bit unprofessional in how he interacts with students, he should act accordingly at all times as he is a staff member.

While the equipment cab limit you in some areas of the trade you are wanting the teachers here still provide good explanations with giving you real world examples. And the material they provide through he chrome books is a lot but yet really good information to keep track of. So my overall experience as a student is good. As long as you put in the work and you apply yourself in your studies youll do really well

Leroy Rodriguez I don’t know why these people write negative reviews about not learning. I finished the welding program in October. Within the time of school from when I first started to the end I had help from the teachers. I was struggling with mental, and health issues between start to finish. Yet the staff worked with me with my terrible grades and attendance. Without the excellent staff members I would’ve given up to be honest. I obviously had to show proof of what was going on. Yet the staff did what they could to get me to my goal. The teachers actually want to see you do better as well. They have been there step by step trying to make me a better welder. Even when I felt undeserving walking the stage, they were proud to see me pass. I starting going back for tutoring and sharpen my skills (which have even gotten better with the help of the teachers). Even in tutoring I’m still getting taught lessons. I seen reviews saying stuff about bad attention or attitude from the office or worrying about the other students being “potheads”. I doubt the staff treated you bad, and you shouldn’t be worried about the other students choices. Just man up and quit having your feelings hurt. 100 percent never had a negative interaction with any of the staff. Just them telling me to buck up and do better.

Jon L Albee Not only is the mid-century modern architecture absolutely gorgeous, the college itself is a real gem of liberal arts in culture-rich San Antonio. This is a small university that is a real sleeper, with quality and selectivity that lift it into the elite ranks of liberal arts colleges. Despite all this, it is little known outside Texas, and is frequently confused with Trinity College in Connecticut. Theres a large endowment that allows the university to be generous with financial aid, and to maintain a distinguished faculty that would stand out at any elite liberal arts college in the country.

Karen Pynes We are celebrating our daughters graduation this weekend and started with a beautiful Vespers service followed by the Presidents Reception for the graduates. I had not attended Vespers before, and this service incorporated many of the various beliefs held by students such as Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. Students played and sang beautifully and the Chaplain spoke inspiring words. The ceremony had delicious heavy hors doeuvres including chicken, empanadas, and desserts.

B.M.X. BikeMomXtreme #47 It was a good school with descent curriculum. Unfortunately the students started getting difficult and started to refuse to pay me for doing their homework for them. It’s incredibly difficult to find time to do it themselves or they didn’t understand the assignments without a teacher by their side. It was nice to hear one of the students tell me that the teacher requested to keep one of the assignments I did for her and would be used for future classes which I took as a complement ❤️ unfortunately I no longer provide those services for students but it was fun at the time and I do suggest going there. Maybe one day I’ll get back into doing homework for students at a small fee later down the road.

Robert Rupar For future parents, students and visitors, I attended a function on campus dated 25 Feb 2024, if there is a hit and run incident, not all of the parking areas to include housing areas have cameras especially around parking area G. After a week and multiple calls, I was finally given information by Officer Badge Number 409 that this area is not the only areas un-camera. Sadly, the areas outside St. Mary is not so great then again, the cameras and security personal needs more assistance to safeguard people and property. I will not be going back nor allow my children to apply to St. Mary. Security should be paramount more so when someone parks next to a security camera. My opinion is that the camera wasnt working and getting the run-around is the normal P.C. for St. Mary unless you have problems near or around the Law Schools and housing per other badged officers not to mention their number on open forum. WARNING, do not park near or around parking area G, there are dead spots or the cameras do not work. Take care, be safe and God Bless.

I then got a call the second time from them saying "we arent giving up on you" and I told them I am not interested and to please stop calling me, they then said "why". Are you serious? If someone says not interested they arent interested, leave them alone. Weird place and weird people, do not give this place your information.

Amber Ward Biggest scam of my life. Ask any graduated student from the phlebotomy program. $15000 for 3 certs, 2 of which mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. In the state of Texas you dont even need a Phlebotomy Certificate to get a job. Do yourself a favor and just do a course. I want my money and 9 months of my life BACK. They said starting pay would be around $18. Yet another lie, good luck getting a job close to even $16. Ive run into so many old classmates who feel exactly the same way. I wish I never went here. And they can try and take this review down, but I have proof of everything. So Ill fight to keep it up.

Robin Walker We were told about this by a friend from Houston, it really is an excellent venue. The food was as brilliantly prepared as you would expect from a culinary school, but it went beyond... the depth of flavour in the stocks and sauces was testament to some first-class teaching. Our waiter was very new, we later heard, but did his job faultlessly (even though we inadvertently asked some difficult questions). The wine pairings option (we chose the premium pairing) were creative and of great quality. Overall, a find to be celebrated, but I suspect you will need to book weeks in advance of your visit, as we did!

Maria Trakas The food was good but the service was terrible. I informed the order taker that I have gluten allergy; she was the only one who knew that meant the rest of the staff should change gloves. That made me hesitant but after explaining the reason for the process, the rest of the staff realized that I also could not eat the tortillas since they were all cooked on the same surface. The experience, however, went downhill from there. Though my order, without tortillas was prepared immediately, my partners was lost in the shuffle. We waited patiently while others received their orders. After about 5-10 minutes we inquired about his order. We were told to wait. After waiting a little longer we inquired again and explained that we had waited some time while others, who ordered after us, received their orders. The staff scolded my partner, telling him that he should have waited loser to the delivery area - exactly where we had been waiting. My partner offers constructive criticism as the staff were all students, however, they got angry with him and told him he was being inappropriate.

I could not get a job anywhere because recruiters would tell me that Hallmark degrees are worthless. Years later I am wanting to go back to school but no real universities will accept me. Why? Because Hallmark swears up down left and right that I never graduated and that I never finished paying off my program. They will not release my transcripts at all and have been very rude. Right before graduation, I made the final payment on my program and confirmed with the bursar that I was finished. I walked the stage!!!!! But according to this “school” I didn’t graduate and I owe 3k. Please do not waste your time or money at Hallmark University.

A Reed I went to this school back in 2008 and it was the worst decision I ever made. they have since moved locations and after reading the reviews even after getting a face lift the school is still pretty bad. its embarrassing to have this degree on my resume and the credits never transferred to any Alamo colleges at the time after I graduated. It is better to do your basics at Alamo Colleges and then transfer to UTSA or somewhere else, it will also be a lot cheaper than this school. I did the IT program during my time there the professors didnt teach, everything was open book for testing, and if you didnt want to do any of the work but show up, you could bribe some of the teachers with breakfast tacos and pass with an A. The equipment they used for this program was all out of date and nothing you would of seen in the workforce. either way, I dont recommend this school to anyone, its a scam, you will be in debt, and good luck finding a job that cares about the hallmark degree.

Queenitra letuli Its a 50/50 learning environment, hands on training with the stimulation boards and reading. Mostly graded on performance of understanding during labs. You spend one day reading out the text book and the other days in the labs. The teacher holds you responsible to have your own set of tools. Most of the teachers are cool and understanding. There are a lot of good benefits/programs with the school such as gas cards, project quests (tuition/tools/job seeking assistance), project sure scholar (tuition assistance) , FYP(free laptop for firsts year students) and the TXFame program*. But mostly, the tuition fees are cheap with your book fees loop in. The library and hallways are always quite. I started out with HVAC and emerged into the TXFame program. Best move I ever did.

Amanda Ruiz They offer a grab-and-go service for students who need lunch and either forget or cant afford lunch. Nurse Alma is very polite and welcoming when providing students with their nutritional needs. This service gets me through long days on campus.
