Brooke Payne What is the point of having advising services when no one advises? I shouldnt be met with an attitude when Im asking for help as a returning student. Returning after four years, things are different and I needed guidance with things such as changing my major, class recommendations for someone looking to enroll in nursing, and other basic questions. I shouldnt be met with a funky attitude for asking questions. If you do not want to work, please do not work and take your attitude out on people asking nicely for assistance.

Razol Mahari My son had difficulties in establishing his Texas residency status. We had made three trips to the admissions office but never resolved it. Apparently the fact that my son is a US citizen was overlooked. Thankfully after meeting Ms Flores we were able to resolve the issue in under 30 minutes. Ms Flores was very attentive and helped my son every step of the way. Thank you for the good customer service.

Arabella Hahn The financial aid office here absolutely does not care about you. No matter how much you try to excell in their school, they dont care.
I had to take a semester off because I was struggling a lot mentally. I couldnt afford to see a psychiatrist or therapist to put on record that I was struggling. Then I come back full time, do excellent in my classes, and Im hit with not meeting the SAP requirements because my completion rate isnt high enough (obviously because I had to take a semester off). I submit an appeal stating why my completion rate isnt meeting the requirements and that I couldnt PROVE I was struggling mentally because I didnt have enough money to see someone (obviously thats why Im on financial aid in the first place). They dont care, they denied it. Went and did a committee appeal, the lady comes out basically saying Im an idiot to think theyd accept this time because I have no documents proving I had mental problems.
Even went to see my advisor for my academic plan for the appeal and she agreed with me that there is no reason for my appeal to be denied with how much progress I have made in making up for the semester I missed.
All the financial aid office cares is about themselves.
