Brooke Payne What is the point of having advising services when no one advises? I shouldnt be met with an attitude when Im asking for help as a returning student. Returning after four years, things are different and I needed guidance with things such as changing my major, class recommendations for someone looking to enroll in nursing, and other basic questions. I shouldnt be met with a funky attitude for asking questions. If you do not want to work, please do not work and take your attitude out on people asking nicely for assistance.

Razol Mahari My son had difficulties in establishing his Texas residency status. We had made three trips to the admissions office but never resolved it. Apparently the fact that my son is a US citizen was overlooked. Thankfully after meeting Ms Flores we were able to resolve the issue in under 30 minutes. Ms Flores was very attentive and helped my son every step of the way. Thank you for the good customer service.

Arabella Hahn The financial aid office here absolutely does not care about you. No matter how much you try to excell in their school, they dont care. I had to take a semester off because I was struggling a lot mentally. I couldnt afford to see a psychiatrist or therapist to put on record that I was struggling. Then I come back full time, do excellent in my classes, and Im hit with not meeting the SAP requirements because my completion rate isnt high enough (obviously because I had to take a semester off). I submit an appeal stating why my completion rate isnt meeting the requirements and that I couldnt PROVE I was struggling mentally because I didnt have enough money to see someone (obviously thats why Im on financial aid in the first place). They dont care, they denied it. Went and did a committee appeal, the lady comes out basically saying Im an idiot to think theyd accept this time because I have no documents proving I had mental problems. Even went to see my advisor for my academic plan for the appeal and she agreed with me that there is no reason for my appeal to be denied with how much progress I have made in making up for the semester I missed. All the financial aid office cares is about themselves.

Dottie It was easy to register a first time student. The orientation very helpful. Jennifer in advising was great to help with residency requirements. Cost of the college is very reasonable.

Kilik Lopez Nice campus! As far as community colleges go, Lone Star always surpasses others. The facilities are very well taken care of, the library is tiny but cozy and quiet, the workshops for machining class are awesome. As far as classes and staff goes, everyone is different so it would take forever to review them all. But overall Ive always gotten pretty good service and good professors

Pozadzides John (John P.) This is the listing for the actual college, but someone has totally messed up the description and made it for the bookstore. The campus is relatively new and well equipped. The instructors arent Harvard level, but youll get your moneys worth. All in all, a great place to learn.

Emily Bartling My husband has had a wonderful experience at this school so far but future students, be warned that rotations are not guaranteed to be in Conroe. Rotation staff are unwilling to make exceptions or work with students with families, particularly families with health concerns (including pregnancy!!!) or financial constraints, and will require you to move without any sort of financial assistance to the middle of nowhere with no great housing options. The lottery system to give students their spot in rotations feels to be rigged (one student supposedly was given Conroe as their spot even though they ranked it lower while we ranked it first and got skipped). Grateful my husband can get a medical education but this experience alone is enough for me as a student’s wife to do whatever I can to make sure no one else will find themselves in our position. So disappointed and upset.
