Lydia Cedillo I would like to share my experience and why I enjoying getting my hair done at Charglo Beauty School in Moses Lake, WA. The reason why I say that is because I have seen this place grow and become a place that makes you feel, comfortable, loving, beautiful, and welcome. A place that has great customer service that serves the community well by its warming smiles, that makes a person feel at home. Thank you Nic (Grandson) for always doing a wonderful job on my hair. You are the best!

Alma Mendoza I’m only giving them a 1 star because the guy that cut my daughters hair was nice. I waited patiently(over two hours) as I know it’s a school and have worked in customer service myself. The reason for my review is that their overall customer service was god awful. I was talking to the girl in the receptionist position about a quote on my own hair and her friend came around the corner and then completely she ignored my conversation with her about the quote and proceeded to talk about their personal issues in front of me. She clearly knew that I was upset about completely being ignored but never apologized or offered to continue my quote. On top of that they looked bothered any time they had to take a call or do something it made the whole experience awkward and uncomfortable it’s been a while since I’ve seen such unprofessional work ethic and that’s really the reason for my review, as the face of the company you need to be more professional no matter how bad a day your having or don’t show up at all.

Gabbie Swafford I want to start by saying Im not angry or mad by any means, but this visit was the most uncomfortable and unprofessional experience I have ever had getting a haircut. The young woman cutting my hair was being very professional, I understand everyone is learning, so I stayed quiet and let her do her thing. Several people were walking by and looked at my hair like it was turning out awful. Everyone was also speaking Spanish, so I couldnt completely understand what was being said either. By this point, no one had said 2 words to me aside from being talked to at the front of the school. I appreciated the dedication and focus provided toward getting my hair to look nice, and I am pleased with the turn out. However, there were people on shift complaining about previous customers in front of me as well as others cursing and overall not having work appropriate discussions while a client is present. I think it is important that these individuals get trained on how to interact with a client and each other while clients are present. Again, I was very pleased with the result of my hair, but some reassurance from other employees passing by or even jokes, really any interaction to ease the tension would have been nice. The young lady reassured me that my hair looked good before I left, so that was at least a better ending to the experience.

Honey Kernan *Editing to respond to the back-handed apology comment from the salon.*
I am disappointed in the response to my review. I started off by saying that 2 of the girls were amazing and professional. My complaint about the one employee/student are not based on assumptions or unfounded judgements. This was our actual experience. She was rude to my grandmother, she was rude and spoke disrespectfully to her co-workers and to the elderly woman, who I believe is the owner. She was complaining about how sick she was, as she was coughing, into her hands and then touching my grandmothers head and hair WITHOUT washing her hands.. despite the fact that there were no paper towels in the customer restroom, we still saw with our own eyes... her coughing into her hands and touching our grandmother, without washing her hands. These arent assumptions. This was our actual experience with her behavior and poor hygiene.
To the point of some stylists not performing updos these days.. that could have been communicated when the appointments were made, specifically for updos. (And two of the 3 stylists were actually capabable and willing to do them, and did great). We understand it is a school and we do not expect the same quality as a salon. But professionalism and common courtesy, a positive attitude, as well as a desire to LEARN how to do something new.. Are, in my opinion, a standard your school should strive for, rather than making excuses and attempting to invalidate my personal experience.
I went to get my hair done with my grandma and sister. Mine and my sisters hairdressers were great but my Grandmas was very unprofessional. We went to get Updos and her hairdresser told her that she wouldnt give her an updo, not even willing to compromise. She was coughing in her hands and not even washing them when she went over to curl her hair. Another one told her she wasnt even able to do the updo.(Youre a hairdresser, if you cant do hair then your not a hairdresser.) The hairdresser was even talking about how sick she was while coughing in her hands. The bathroom had no paper towels so we know they arent washing their hands. Very unprofessional and gross. I feel bad for my grandma because she was very excited about getting her hair done, and they ruined her experience. The sick hairdresser was rude to my grandma and the owner of the place openly. Like, its so ridiculous how some people can be!
