Eric A In the recent 6 months Ive become a regular. This place is popular so call ahead to make an appointment. Ive been pretty lucky and not had to wait more than 15 minutes. Theres usually 2 or 3 stylists at a time.
They cut my hair exactly how I ask and know how to deal with my oddly located cowlicks. They dont rush and take time to carefully and meticulously cut your hair. My hair gets all over everything and they make sure to clean it off so I can continue with my day.
Cant beat the price here either.

Junne Pepito My recent visit to Crossgate hair salon with Lindsay turned into a complete nightmare. Initially, she appeared confident about performing a highlight root touch-up on my hair and assured me she would do her best. However, the outcome was nothing short of disastrous. My hair ended up with uneven colors, displaying shades ranging from orange to white, brown, and even black in patches. It was a chaotic mess of multiple colors that was far from what I expected or paid for.
Upon expressing my dissatisfaction, the salon offered to fix the issue. However, given Lindsays dismissive attitude and lack of apology, I no longer trusted them to do my hair anymore. When I requested a refund as an alternative, they didnt want to and insisted on attempting another fix. This response only increased my frustration, especially considering the numerous red flags I had encountered throughout this trauma.
Despite understanding that they used products and spent time on the service, the responsibility for delivering a quality service lies squarely with the salon. Lindsays unapologetic and rude attitude further added to my distress. Her suggestion of offering me $50 out of the $185 I originally paid, repeatedly emphasizing it was her personal money, was both unprofessional and insensitive. This interaction left me feeling deeply stressed, to the point of tears and embarrassment.
Now, I decided to visit another salon to correct the botched job. To my dismay, the issues persisted; there were still visible uneven colors and a stark line at the back of my hair that Lindsay had insisted was acceptable and only needed minor adjustments—a claim that proved to be false.
Overall, my experience with Crossgate Salon and Lindsay was marked by extremely poor customer service. The entire ordeal has left me traumatized and wary of returning to their salon. I cannot in good conscience recommend this salon to anyone seeking hair care services. I will be sharing pictures of my hair to illustrate the severity of my experience.

lyn dc Kathy did an excellent service on my hair. I came in with my overgrown natural black color hair and the rest with previously highlighted colored hair so it was a bit challenging to blend in my preferred color but with patience and attention to detail, she was able to bring the color all-together. She was kind and very considerate. I love the service and will come back!
