Alysia Daniels This salon is top tier. I unfortunately had to go to a different salon since my only day off was the day the salon was closed and I regretted it immediately. The staff at Adora fixed my nails, took all the time that was needed and gave me the best experience. They talk with you, get to know you and give you 100%. Don’t go anywhere else, the prices are so low in comparison to other salons but the service is 5x better. Thank you Adora! I will always come back !

Jenni Gardner I have been getting my nails done at Adora since I moved to the Silverlake area 5 years ago. I can confidently say Don is great at what he does! He does a wonderful job, EVERY time. The staff at Adora is very warm and welcoming, as well as attentive and accommodating. I was happy to bring my 5 year old daughter here for her very first mani/pedi. Pricing wise, their prices are beyond fair for the quality of their services. They are also open later than other salons, which is big for those of us who work until 5 pm (or later)! Adora is the definition of a local, family run business that is deserving of support. I have since moved away from the Silverlake area and chose to continue getting my nails done here, and for good reason! ☺️

Lacy Cashman I always look forward to my appointments at the Glitterbox Nail Studio every few weeks. Crystal is professional and timely, respecting her client’s time and keeping on schedule. Her studio is beautiful and super clean. Appointments are filled with laughter and fun conversation, never a dull moment. She brings ideas for designs to life and you’ll never grow tired of all the complements on your nails. This isn’t your typical nail salon, it’s way more than that. Crystal cares about the health of your nails and won’t let you leave with a less than perfect service. Lastly, I admire Crystal for being steadfast in her rules pertaining to services and appointments. It not only shows that she truly values her clients and their time, but that she cares about her business and herself as a beauty industry professional. Crystal is my forever, as long as she’ll have me, super talented nail technician.

Aria Placencia I finally found my forever nail tech! The Glitterbox is a comfortable and clean environment. The studio is a private room with just Crystal (owner) and her tools. She was super friendly and instantly made me feel comfortable. I usually refuse to get gel nails... I always find imperfections and end up picking it all off within 3 days. I have tried finding flaw and imperfections to pick at and there is seriously nothing wrong. Crystal did an awesome job. She was patient and thorough and took her time on every nail. She had a great selection of colors and asked if I had any special design requests. I will never go to another run of the mill nail salon again.

Kaelin Sell Coco is simply the best nail tech in the area! She listens and understands what shape, color, design, and art you want, her attention to detail is unmatched! She is talented and can provide complicated nail art to a simple neutral color. It’s a comfortable environment where you can speak up if you want to change something, she wants you to leave happy (and you will)! My nails have never looked better since I started going to see her. The best part is how long they last and how they still look fresh on week 4+. Everyone’s nails are different but since I’ve gone to coco, I have never had my nails grow this long and last with gel as long as they do and the gel does not peel for me which had been an issue for me at previous salons. Coco herself is the sweetest, I love going to her salon and look forward to my appointments with her. Book with coco you won’t regret it!

Jenny Drutman Coco is the best of the best when it comes to nails. I have been a client for going on two years and will not see anyone else! My manicures easily last 3 weeks (would last longer but I want something new!), she is a true artist and does stunning nail art, and my natural nails are healthy and strong. Her space is also clean and inviting. Could recommend anyone more!

Pazelee Harvey Coco is THE best. I was discouraged for years from going to the salon because I didn’t know what I wanted or how to ask for it properly if I did. Coco helps you and does an amazing P E R S O N A L I Z E D job! She is so great! She knows I am hard on my nails so she helps me reinforce my nails by doing a builder gel manicure so I can have my real nails but with durability! She’s so creative and always brings my ideas to life. She also offers more than just nails! She has developed her studio to offer other services from other wonderful professionals! Nails, lashes, piercings, and more! You MUST check her out! I travel from Kingston (over a ferry!!!) just to keep seeing her. Hands down, the best!

Shubham Chakraborty This is a new salon but Shirley has been in this domain for 17 years. She is excellent in listening to instructions and knows exactly how to cut your hair. For both men and women, she has excellent track record. She knows what i want and doesnt rush her job. That is what I like because i have had experiences where to get to the waiting customers, the stylists will just rush your hair and leave with you a medicore feeling. But Shirley takes care of the smallest of details and gives a personal touch. Used to go to her previous salon where she worked and now i prefer going to hers. She is also excellent to talk to. Definitely recommend her.

She explained the process, checked in frequently to make sure I was doing okay and was meticulous about her work. I’m thrilled with the results! I highly recommend booking with her!

Emily Ochs Maisie is a hidden gem at Aphrodite Day Spa! She gives the most incredible facials—relaxing, rejuvenating, and truly effective. As a master aesthetician, she has a deeper understanding of skin and customizes treatments to really make a difference. On top of that, she’s so professional and has the best energy, making every appointment such a great experience. I feel like she’s so underrated, and more people need to know about her! Tristyn Fish Natausha Tall is INCREDIBLE!! First time coming to this salon/ spa! Upon arrival, I immediately noticed the detail and decor of the whole space, its so cute and aesthetically pleasing! My facial with Natausha was phenomenal and I have never felt more relaxed and taken care of. As a mom with 2 young kids, its not often that I get to go do some extra "self care" and after my service, I will definitely be back to see her and I cannot recommend her enough!

Dry Vov I highly recommend hairdresser Sofia. she is truly a professional in her field. For a reasonable price it cuts a great haircut. I have changed many masters and I know what I’m talking about. She cuts mens, womens and childrens haircuts and also does hair coloring. If you are not happy with your current haircut, then I recommend trying to get your hair cut by Sofia. I highly recommend this master, because I know that there are very few such masters and it is very rare to meet such a master, because clients are afraid to change the master

Chelsea Pie My son needed a haircut and by surprise I was also able to get his little friend (girl) to get her nails done all in one spot let’s just say I had two very happy 6 year olds on my hand. I also needed a haircut. So I went back today and oh my goodness i didn’t have a picture but she made my hair softer and lighter and made me look younger and I love the new look. Lynsey Sandum I ONLY go to Sister’s Salon for my nail needs. It is clean, with a laid back and welcoming atmosphere, which I prefer. They offer you something to drink. After going there for several months they all feel like friends. Kim has been doing my nails for almost a year and she always done a wonderful job, such a wonderful job that I continue to see her almost exclusively. Talented, artistic, friendly, kind, and receptive to feedback, with great instincts and skills! I am always throwing her for a loop, requesting intricate designs or trying out a new trend or technique! Shes done butterfly wing nails, ombré airbrush, bat tips for Halloween, cat eye Christmas nails with mushroom accents… she rises to every challenge and exceeds my expectations.

Tee Lovelace I have been coming to Jazzy Nails (when they used to be Avalon Nails) on and off since I was 15 years old. Annie is my go to nail tech and always does an amazing job. From scheduling your appointment to getting in the chair, whether it be for a mani/pedi or both, you’ll be sure to have a good experience. The massage chairs are new and very intense so be prepared to relax while getting your feet taken care of. If you’re in the area or in need of a new shop, I highly recommend Jazzy Nails.

I’ve had both Cathy and Mary give me pedicures and they both pay attention to detail and take their time. My feet always feel so refreshed and soft when I leave. Today I had Vin do my fingernails and they look marvelous. I was way overdue. I highly recommend this salon.

Angel Beaversouris Tidiest shop I’ve been to yet! They sanitized everything to industry standards and had little brushes to clean up any stray polish. Mani/pedi deal on Groupon was very worth it. I would highly recommend getting some matching aprons with the store logo on them (you’re not in school anymore!), as well as some name tags so we know how to spell your names — also some QR codes with links to your Google/Yelp page would be great too. It is worth noting that one of my pinkie toes has been broken before, and Jhoanna took extra care to ensure that nail polish didn’t get smudged by painting it separately.
