Haley Stewart I feel obligated to give 2 stars instead of 1 for the following reasons I will explain. There were red flags that I unfortunately ignored because I desperately needed a haircut. The first red flag was that during the wash she was rather intense on my hair to the point where it was rather painful and I was actually tearing up a little, however I genuinely thought I was just too tender on my scalp and I was being over dramatic, but seriously it genuinely hurt and even though I dont believe she was trying to it was clear now that Ive reflected that she was rushing to do my hair and really this is one of the only reasons I gave the extra star because she cant read my mind and its not fair to assume she knew she was hurting me. However, the second red flag was that I even noticed during my hair cut itself that she was rushing and she had a tendancy to pull on my hair while she cut it making it a bit tender while doing so as well, but again I was in desperate need of a hair cut so I just told myself to trust the process. After the haircut was over she blowdried my hair and before giving my time to FULLY process my haircut she curled and styled a little which originally I was rather happy with because she didnt charge me extra but now that Ive been home for several days, showered, and given my hair time to fully settle... Its UNEVEN. Yes, I went through all this only for my hair to be completely and NOTICEABLY uneven and I have to deal with this for several days at work. Im very lucky that my hair style is short enough that if I tuck it behind my ears, its not as bad as it looks but I already have an aversion to allowing strangers cut my hair and this doesnt exactly boost my confidence. Very disappointing.

Lew Lew I saw Jared today and idk if Ive had a haircut match my personality more in my life. I will apologize a million times for not being more prepared! But I adore Jared and Im obsessed with my haircut! I will be better prepared for next time!

Karlotta Westfall I was decisive and clear about how much color I wanted , and how I wanted my haircut. I asked not to be overly processed or color dependent! meaning more of a natural look. I ended up with color, dependent hair and over processing! I asked for a phone call and did get a response . The person acknowledged what I had to say. but no real response beyond that. The style bar was disappointing to say the least.

Makaila E Kevin was a funny and kind person. He did great on my friends straight hair, but if you have curly hair you are probably better off going to a curly hair specialist. Not very happy with the end result unfortunately.

Lukas Don’t overlook this small boutique downtown. Sue the barber did a great job for a great price. Make sure you stop in and get the best haircut in town.

Cindy Beckwith Kevin does such a great job and such a nice guy as well. Hes been doing my hair for the past 4 years and it always turns out great.

Sherry Graham Barb Williams has been cutting my hair for 38 years. Does great work. I show her a picture of a hairstyle she cuts my hair exactly like it. Try her out you will not regret it.

Grace Evert I have been looking for a hair stylist that I can use on a regular basis and I was lucky enough to work down the road from this hair salon. Kevin is awesome. He always makes my hair look great and for weeks it continues to keep its shape. Thanks, Kevin! You are one in a million.

Samantha Walden Lynette at Posh Hair Salon is great! Im a very particular blonde, but she knows just what my hair needs and leaves me (and my hair) feeling amazing! Highly recommend!

Shannon Wilby I just left here and and extremely happy with my hair. Tammy Lynn was attentive and professional. She listened to what I wanted and got it spot on. My purple highlights are royal purple highlights and not reddish purple like I’ve gotten from the home kits. I love my stylish cut and dark purple highlights!! I recommend Tammy Lynn for any of your hair needs!!

Miranda Moreno Lynette was able to get me in last minute on her Sunday, which was amazing! She helped talk me through what I was wanting the end result to be, and I felt heard and like she TRULY cared! I left with a whole new look that I love, and I will definitely be back!!!

Marisa Lomeli I recently visited Studio J salon for their Japanese Head Spa. I was seen by Myra and she did a fantastic job! She started off by examining my hair and scalp. She was very knowledgeable and told me step by step what she was doing. We headed to the room and she took her time and washed my hair while massaging my scalp. She ended it with a neck and arm massage along with hot towels. It was the most relaxing thing I had experienced. She was super friendly and made me feel very comfortable. If you have longer hair or thicker hair, they do add a charge of $15 because they need to spend more time on you. It would have been nice to be told that when I booked but it was still very worth it!

Erica Bentley I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a Japanese head spa for the first time, and I cant recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone for relaxation. Alyssa, was an absolute gem. She was incredibly sweet and attentive, making sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire session. Her gentle touch and soothing techniques instantly melted away my stress and tension. I felt completely pampered and in good hands. If you’re considering a head spa treatment, I highly suggest you to book with Alyssa. She truly has a gift for making her clients feel special and cared for. This was an unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait to return!

Tere Garcia It was my first time here, this place is very cute, everyone is friendly, they were busy but since we had an appointment it was good. My daughters had the scalp massage and she was in for a treat. Melissa was making wonders for her and it was worth it. They offer other packages and we will be back!!

Lara AroundTown My boyfriend and I had dual Signature Head Spa services today, it was incredible and so relaxing. Massage, light touch, hair combing, luxurious shampooing and conditioning…the whole thing was a treat for our senses. The beds were warm and cozy, the room was dim with a relaxing light laser for the ceiling, and layers of sound to create a soothing ambient atmosphere. The scents were delightful, rose water and the different products used on our head, face, arm and hand massages smelled and felt lush. The water on our scalps was warm, soothing and varied in pattern. Absolutely an incredible sensory experience that anyone who likes to treat themself should try.

Annie Ritter-Jones Emma is magical! She has transformed my hair in only a few visits. She truly cares for her clients and has such amazing knowledge in what she does. shelby gray Ive never actually been here but my experience with them on the phone didnt make me want to. I called to see if they had any openings available for the day, and the lady who answered didnt state the business or her name and wasnt friendly at all. Until I said I think I have the wrong number Im calling for the hair salon, she said this is Strand Salon and by that point I didnt even want to go there because of the fact she wasnt welcoming, friendly or professional on the phone.

Heather Taylor Updated review: The salon move to a new location, and the only big issue I see with that is that theres only stairs to get up to the top floor. We went in a few weeks ago and my daughter got her bangs cut by an older lady, and it took her a little bit to make them even and then they were just too short, I didnt say anything because I just didnt want to speak up, but even my husband was disappointed when we got home. They grew out a little bit and now they look better, but the next time we go, we will likely find a different Salon or we will make sure that we have a different stylist The ladies here are so nice!! My daughter got the full treatment haircut! She felt so special and the stylist did an awesome job!! Super affordable which surprised me as well.

As a client here myself with Natalie I have always had great service. I was and my daughter as well was very happy with how the fix turned out. Luna Johns Do not book with Lane. She had an attitude the entire appointment and barely spoke to me. The haircut ended very choppy and didn’t even look right when washed. She couldn’t even do a blowout, she made my blowout look like a bowl cut. Extremely unsatisfied.

Selene Manzo I would not recommend making an appointment with Laura, she cancels scheduled appointments after saving spot with deposit and decides to tell you, you are wasting her time just cause she wants to change your schedule appointment to what best fits hers. That’s scamming people. People have jobs to go to and can’t always just go at any time you want, how is that wasting “your” time when you save your spot for what time best fits for the client? Makes no sense. Thanks for the waste of money and time.

Linda E Seen LaRae. Im just gonna place these photos here and let them do most of the talking. Friendly person but horrible, clumsy technique.... Salon owner defended her!! Dont waste your money because youll need to get it fixed anyway. Wish I could give 0 stars. Added info: After I told LaRae that I had a severe reaction to something she used, she basically called me a liar. It took my scalp over a month for the sensitivity to go away and I didnt have a reaction to anything my new stylist used to fix the monstrosity she caused.

Susan Morrison KYONGI recognized what was need for my hair and my daughter’s hair. She thoroughly worked on our hair and gave great advise and didn’t do anything extra just to do it. We both hair shiny and bouncy healthier hair that is colorful and cute. I live an hour from her and it was worth the drive. It was a fun experience who gave me realistic guidance so I knew what we were gonna get. It’s hard to find honest stylist and we found one! I highly recommend Studio Nabi and its stylist.

JENN DELA CRUZ It was my first visit with Kyongi 2 weeks ago and I had requested a partial highlights appt. She was very nice, explained what she was going to do with my hair, and made me feel comfortable. I was going from black hair to highlights, and I told her I didnt want too much of a drastic change. She knew exactly what I wanted by showing her a couple picture ideas. She did a great job at achieving the look that I wanted. Carissa Gita I definitely recommend Nabi to anyone in or visiting Washington. Everyone was very welcoming when I came in both for a walk-in consultation and for my haircut. Kyongi was awesome -- super nice, easy to talk to, she gave me lots of tips for my hair and the haircut itself just makes me feel so light and beautiful! Ive been going to the same hairstylist since I was 10 years old, so Im always very skeptical having anyone else touch my hair. Yoshiye Higashi Second hair cut with Kyongi. I like her honesty and ability to tell me what is realistic with my hair without making me feel stupid, putting me down, or just ignoring my requests and cutting however she wants - sadly experiences Ive had at some other salons. She really listens to make sure she understands what your hair goals are, then explains how to achieve it. I have difficult hair to cut that needs to be cut a specific way. Its been a really long time since I felt that I have a hairstylist that really knows and understands my hair.

abbygale porte RAVE LYDIA COSGROVE If you’re looking for someone to cut your hair SEE LYDIA!! I was on vacation and was in need of a haircut badly! This salon was close by with good reviews so I did a walk in and got the lovely Lydia. She listened to everything I wanted and what I didn’t want, answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable! 10/10 recommend her if you’re looking for a haircut or get your hair done! She’s absolutely amazing and such a sweet person, loved her so much when I am back in the area I will definitely go back to her! The photos are a day later after styling.

I’ve been adding more copper tones but this time we lightened it up and I couldn’t be happier with the results! The salon space is clean and comfortable. Beatrice Carrera Found Jess when I was newer to the area and she has been great at helping me get my curls healthy. Explains what products she is using and why, how she achieves what I’m looking for and is super friendly. It’s like a visit to a friend I haven’t seen in a bit only I walk out feeling pretty and ready to conquer. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone who knows curls and you need hair help.

She gives an expensive salon result without the super expensive price tag. She is a wonderful person and beautician!

Annette Koch Kim is outstanding at cutting hair. The only problem is if you want anything fixed in any way, you are treated like a child. If the cut is great, your good but if there is a slight issue they have you come in but wont fix it.

Alicia Barron After calling on other beauty salons and not getting an answer, I tried Madison and they were the only ones who actually picked up the phone, I set up a last minute appt, when I got there Ashley helped me. She was fantastic,very friendly and professional. I definitely recommend her.

Celia LL Customer service was terrible! It seemed like she didnt want to work that day. She didnt talk me through the process or let me know that we wouldnt be able to achieve my reference photo. We didnt even come close to the photo i showed her and for me to pay so much money for it! I was so unhappy with my hair. Thanks for ruining my first salon experience.

Jasna Walton I’ll start off by saying that i wish all of the positive reviews were true. I went in because of the amazing rating on all of the websites however my experience was the complete opposite. I went in and Sam attempted a balayage on my hair and a cut. The cut was just long layers with framing around the face which looks fine. The balayage is a whole other story. My hair turned out orang/brassy, yellow and a choppy color job with no “blending”. I specifically told the stylist that I did not want any “yellow” or “brassy” colors; I specifically stated that I want a cool ashy blonde. In the end what I got was brassy color with 3 different colors in one strand of hair . I noticed the color a few days later after my first wash and was shocked so I texted her asking what we should do to fix it. She replied sayings to use blue shampoo which I had already used. She then said she could tone it darker or I could make an app for more lightening (at my expense). She wanted me to pay more for a job she didn’t do well or right in the first place. I called the salon and the owner basically proceeded to belittle and lecture me about how sometimes this just happens and it isn’t sam’s fault. All in all the customer service was horrible and I would never go back to them, not even to fix what they did wrong. Take a look at the pictures for yourself. My hair looks awful and I wish I never went to this place.

Kristen Clare Bic gave me friendly service with a smile! She asked about my hair and what I wanted done. She also made some good suggestions on styling my hair. I will definitely return for future haircuts and bang trims!

Cheryl Butler Made an appointment because I was going out of town for an important meeting. The appointment was with Jess who is supposed to be a district leader?? One hour before my appointment and with no time to go anywhere else now, they say Jess called out and there is nobody else that can do my hair when I saw multiple available times on the online scheduling. If I had been informed in a reasonable amount of time, maybe I could have made other plans. Extremely, extremely unprofessional and just dismissive. Horrible business. Customer service is dead in this place. Also just got a confirmation text of my appointment. Horrible!!

Dena Danielle did a cut for me today. I’ve been looking for my hair person and I think I just found her! She was extra careful in asking what I wanted. She did a great job! I keep getting compliments, I’m so happy!

Twila Boyd The stylists at this shop were very nice. Did a good job. But there is no way on planet earth that a cut and partial foil (to include tips) should be almost $500. The shampoo chairs were like being guillotined. There are chairs on the market that are comfortable. Almost zero aesthetics. For a $500 experience. I want to sit in a fluffy chair with someone offering a neck massage, a loop of serene nature videos on tv , magazines etc. I was left in an empty room, Uncomfortable chair. Nothing to read, nothing …. while I waited 20 minutes for the next stylist to be ready. I felt I was being clowned by all of this. No slight on the stylists, they were good. If they had their own shops, I would go to them. The overall experience was not worth the ridiculous price

Amy Praudins Ive been a regular customer at Teze Salon for 8 years or so. I get my hair colored & cut by Gina Young every 10-12 weeks. In addition, 4 of my teenage & up children have also been long-time customers at TEZE. The salon itself is classy, clean and has a great vibe. The entire staff has a knack for making you feel not only pampered, but also as comfortable as if you were sitting in your own kitchen. Ive never once felt like products or extra services were being pushed on me, only suggestions on what would be good for my hair when I ask. Ive also never felt like there was a rush to get me done and onto the next client. They book time slots appropriately and it shows. I genuinely feel like they have my best interest in mind. Book your appointments far in advance, its worth it!

Rondi Johnson I really wanted to like this experience but I just didn’t. I was taken back like 15-20 mins late at least. I had an appt with Gina Y. I’ll start by saying she was pretty pleasant for the most part although while I was showing her sample pics of myself to show her what cut I wanted -from when I was about 40lbs lighter and had my makeup done and hair styled- I said something about what I looked like in the picture and she said “oh my god, that was YOU? You were so CUTE!” I’m usually one to assume positive intent and give people the benefit of a doubt but It felt pretty insulting. It was her tone and the way she said it. Anyway, I tried to just put it to the side and continue. Out of about 6-7 pics I showed her both of myself and other women with similar cuts, all but one of the pics the style was straight. I told her I do have naturally curly hair and I wanted to make sure she layered it because I primarily wear it straight but do sometimes wear it curly. She still cut it to be styled curly and didn’t give me the cut in any of the sample pics. I wanted short layers stacking up the back in an inverted bob and instead I left with bangs that were too short and layers that were styled curly and left way too long so within 3-4 weeks I needed a cut all over again rather than the trim I would usually get at 8 weeks. I couldn’t even wear it straight because the layers were so much longer than my bangs that it didn’t look right, like a bob, and it just made the front of my hair look thinner than it actually is. She asked me in the beginning if I wanted her to blow it out, and then halfway through scrunching WAY too much product into my VERY thin and fine hair she goes “oh, did you want me to blow it out? I didn’t put the right product in for that.” So I left looking like beetlejuice with crunchy looking curls on the back with way too much product in them and then blown out bangs. I didn’t have time to get it fixed during their 2 week follow up policy either because we went out of town that weekend after my cut and I couldn’t get my days off to line up with making another appt with her. I’d also like to add that the curly style she cut for and let me walk out with was not even what I showed her in the pictures of myself where I styled it curly. She looked at my curls styled in the picture and said “oh, so you wear it soft?” And then gave me crunchy, not blown out curls. There was so much product in my hair that I woke up the next morning and my hands felt coated and i started washing them and then realized there was something on them and thought “did I put lotion on before bed?” Then I realized it was a huge buildup of product on them from finger combing and trying to restyle it after the salon. Needless to say I likely won’t be going back. Not worth the $95 price tag. I’d rather go to a hair masters for $30-40 if I’m going to get a terrible cut anyway.

Eli was able to squeeze me in for an all over color, haircut and deep conditioning treatment right before my engagement photos that are happening in two days.
