Kathryn Haynes Encore is a wonderful salon with a warm atmosphere and amazing service. I have been going to Maxine for over a year, and she solved my hair troubles! I don’t want to go anywhere else. She always listens to me, and I always leave a happy customer.

Sean Gibson Tien has been cutting my hair for more than eight years and always does a great job! She has a great personality and I look forward to every visit.

Anna Hixon Jackey has been my stylist for nearly a decade - she always delivers a perfect cut and color! I have very thick hair and Jackey always spends as much time as needed to get the hair to lay just right. The salon is a very warm and comfortable space, with many friendly stylists, and Im always happy coming back again and again!

Stephanie Parks Excellent salon! I have been seeing Tien for more than 15 years now and won’t go anywhere else. There is a new owner who has really brought new life into the salon, what a wonderful new change!

Isabel Mocca Every time I leave this salon; I leave so happy! The stylist I must book with every time is Kaitlyn! She is so exceptional with blonding, she really takes her time to make it exactly how you want, and she is so fun to work with. She really listens to what you are wanting and works with you as a team to get your desired results. I will be going back to her for as long as she does hair!!

Sydney Davis What an amazing salon with the most welcoming and talented people! I had the pleasure of being Kaitlyns guest and every aspect of my visit was incredible. Kaitlyn listened to all my questions and concerns and made a very informed decision about how to move forward in the appointment. My hair turned out beautifully and exactly what I asked for. Overall, a wonderful experience and I will absolutely be coming back.

April Brix I would go a -5 stars if I could, this place ruined my hairstyle with a terrible, crooked, short cut right before my wedding. I asked for partial highlights and then the stylist colored my hair and added another treatment without asking and charged me a lot extra. And then I just had to pay it. I guess that’s their business model to give extra services without asking and then make their customers pay for it. Worst experience ever. And because I had such terrible service, I am now banned from their salon after asking for a partial refund to pay for having to get my hair fixed somewhere else. Their solution was for me to come back in and have a stylist ”fix” it. I was actually sort of shocked that they didn’t offer a refund. In response to your response below, no, this was the photo before the fix, check your email again. I sent a couple of other photos that were the fix from another salon. Dosha did a great job. As I mentioned in my email to you, I recently moved close to this salon location and didn’t realize it was connected to the other location - I never really focused on the name of the place. I’ve just never been treated so badly and then to think of you banning people you do that to. Why didn’t your salon just immediately say they would at least pay for the fix? This big “threat” I gave was to report your practice to your own licensing organization to let them know. You saying I threatened you leaves people to believe an untruth, like I was a danger to your employees. That is far from the truth. That’s two falsehoods in your response, pretty bad.

Larissa Asaro Ainsley was able to capture the look of my dreams! She listened to my needs and even gave suggestions for how to maintain the volume and texture I wanted. Cant recommend her enough.

Patti - First time customer. Had shampoo and haircut with lower level stylist. While under going shampooing before the haircut, it had me questioning if her skills in cutting my hair was going to be better! The shampooing lacked a basic massage to the scalp, it definitely did not make me feel like I was getting spoiled. The haircut I did not love but just “okay”. NOT going to return to this salon but go at your own discretion .

Mila Kowalik Liz is the best!! I wanted a full hair transformation, and she did such an amazing job!! She also gave me some really helpful tips and recommendations, Ive been to a lot of stylists and none have been this helpful. Jessie Patterson Amanda has been my hairdresser for the last 8 years and she is AMAZING! A true artist with both cuts and color, I have never ever been disappointed. She does an amazing job and I am always feeling refreshed and gorgeous when I leave.

Alyssia Cowart Went here for the very first time a while ago to get my brows microbladed and the lady who did them for me was absolutely amazing! She was super comforting and sweet and walked me through the process. However, my issue was not with her, but the salon as a whole. While in my appointment, my parents had called to see if I was still inside (mind you they drove me there, I was unable to access my phone at that given time and the doors were locked due to covid) and the lady who answered the phone (can’t recall her name) made the quick assumption that I was not inside the building (although I was and she hadn’t bothered to do a full sweep, only the waiting area) which immediately made my family worry beyond belief. We traveled from out of state so before anyway jumps to them being “dramatic” .. imagine how you would feel if you dropped your daughter off to an appointment she’s never been to, in a state you’ve never visited before, only to find out she’s supposedly no longer inside when she’s supposed to be. Yeah.. I think it’s safe to say it was more than understandable to be worried. After I was able to get to my phone to tell my parents I was inside and that I was okay, I was immediately annoyed because not once had I heard anyone call out my name or come into the room my brows were being done in, to see if I was there. The amount of anxiety this place caused my family all because they couldn’t take 30 seconds to check who was inside their building is absolutely ridiculous and should have never happened. Way beyond unprofessional.

Stefanie Jolly By FAR the most comfortable place to get my hair done. I drive an hour south to Vancouver just to have Stacy do my hair! Its very laid back. Bonus she will schedule me late night as well and when your on a graveyard schedule it means the world to me. I have NEVER had any shop even offer to do that. Shes so patient especially when I have no idea what I want. Best of all she will even brainstorm with me and not make me feel rushed or like a burden. SHE IS AMAZING EVERYONE!! I will never go anywhere else, THANKS TO THE MOON STACY YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BESTEST!

Taylor Finn Stacy does simply amazing work. Her workshop is a little bizarre at first, but it quickly grows on you. She is meticulous and professional, and I cant wait for my appointment this weekend! Keep in mind she works solo, so be forgiving of reschedules, her time is worth it!

Kathy Pedersen I went in on the recommendation of my daughter. She said Stacey was great at executing the right cut for the client. Stacey cut and styled my hair perfectly. The cut works done up or left casual, and it is very flattering. I highly recommend Stacey. Shes amazing!

Leslie Harrington Smith Stacy is a very skilled craft person! She gave me a bob haircut that ranked among one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had! I have gotten a ton of compliments for it and have really enjoyed how easy it is to take care of. If you’re ready for a new look or just a refresh, go see Stacy, her shop is wonderfully funky, her dogs and her cat are precious, and she’s an expert!

I want to highly recommend the Julie Murphy Salon within the Sola Salon Studios located in East Vancouver on Mill Plain Blvd. Julie was recommended to me by a client who had gone to her for years. What a find! She’s a very talented stylist! My husband and I both have short curly hair. After he saw how well shaped my hair was he started having his hair cut by Julie also. It’s been a year of consistently great haircuts! We very much appreciate the quality of her art.

Ive never been there before so it was confusing and the first person that I saw that was available pressured me to sit with them, and I did not have a great experience with them. I wish there was a main desk touch point to talk with first before just wandering halls like a college dorm.

fknadriee_ I came for a color correction. I had bad highlights the day before. Being desperate to get something better I came in and had #2 Lee, do a color correction. She missed some spots and it was $110 for a job that was about 30 minutes total. I left unhappy once again but shy to say anything AGAIN. :( I think $50-$60 dollars would have been a reasonable price, I feel like she took advantage of my situation.

Victoria Vysotskiy Claudia is THE BEST! I am quite picky with my hair and I dont trust anyone else with it! I have been through my share of bad haircuts and colors (which several times involved tons of tears) until Claudia took the matter in her hands and fixed it! Thank you!!! I have been going there for many, many years and would not go to anyone else! I get complements on my hair ALL THE TIME! I highly recommend Claudia and the salon itself as the owner (Fadija :-) and everyone there are super friendly and the atmosphere is so welcoming! Love it!!!

Jeanette Moszeter Comfortable, stylish and inviting. Have been coming here for 10 years. Claudia is one of the best color stylists in the Vancouver Portland area. She accepts cash or checks. Carol McCaulley I had tried many salons and was looking for something more creative. No matter where I went I got basically the same cut and color. That’s when a co-worker referred me to Claudia Gerchikov at European Hair Salon. She is a master with color and will be as creative or as traditional with styling as you want. For the first time I live my hair. I have never been happier. I constantly have people comment on how much they like my hair. She is simply the best! She is also a very nice person to get to know.

Cody Cumbra Been going to this location for all of my haircuts for over three years. Danny always does a tremendous job. As someone with curly hair, Ive always struggled to find a hairdresser that can give me a proper cut. Ever since I met Danny, he has always given me excellent service worthy of a solid tip. In addition, he has a colorful personality and has become a good friend that I enjoy visiting time and time again.

Sadie Goodwin I would NOT recommend. Long hair with layers seemed to be difficult for TWO stylists. I didn’t think much of it when the one I booked with called a coworker over to help add layers until the next day. (My hair was styled and I didn’t notice & I don’t frequent salons often at all) . Missing sections of hair completely! I then realized I had TWO different haircuts. This will take years to grow back. Thankful for Nico Bella Salon in Camas for fixing as much as they could. When I put trust in someone to cut my hair I would not think to go back to the same person. My daughters booked us matching permanent jewelry appointments here also. The same evening one bracelet fell off. Went back in to get it re welded. Although the staff seems friendly, spending over $300 Red Chair Salon services are definitely not for me. The only satisfactory I came away with is the $1.00 hair scrunchies they sell.

Jennifer Osburn Eliot The Red Chair Salon and Spa is a great salon with friendly and fun staff (and small "office" dogs!). I found this salon while looking for ideas on wedding up-dos. I moved to the area last year and had not established a hair stylist yet, so I decided to start a conversation with these ladies. I got my first haircut and highlight done by Jessie. She took the time to get to know my hair and helped me decide what would work well for future wedding planning. At a future visit she did a trial run for a wedding up-do and it was AMAZING! I showed her a couple of inspiration photos and she made it even better. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Jessie was unable to do my hair on my wedding day but the salon was great and had two other stylists step in. Savannah and the owner, Sarah, worked on my hair together and it turned out absolutely perfect! I felt comfortable working with all three of these stylists and my hair stayed perfect all day. Thank you to this wonderful team!

Tanna Mumm Recently had my hair cut and colored by Sarah and I can’t say enough positive things about my experience! I’ve had difficulty finding a hairdresser who can work with my fine natural curly hair and took a chance on Sarah. Brittany I have been going too this salon for about 9 years!mainly for hair..my last stylist left but made sure i was left in great hands! I see Sarah and have been with her about 2 years she really takes the time to get to know you and makes sure you do not have any sensitivities (I have a few) she also is AMAZING at everything she does I got my lashes done by her for the 1st time and i cant believe I have never got them before!! she explained every step and made sure i was comfortable during the whole process so now I will be getting my hair and lashes done by her if you want an all in one type of person to make you feel beautiful Sarah is the one to go to she is also one of the nicest humble person I have met she is for sure going too be my forever person for any thing I need done :) I also take my kids to her for hair cuts :) If i can give her a thousand stars I would :)

Yoongi’s_Garden Such a nice place! Staff was extremely nice and friendly, and they gave me exactly the haircut I asked for! The price was extremely cheap as well, only $35 for a cut and undercut. I’m absolutely going back next time I need a cut!

Kennya Marzano The hair cut for my kids were great. Both turned out well. However, I chose this place because of the great reviews and their children haircuts were advertised (online and in store) as $25. I don’t have a lot but wanted my kids to look nice for their first day of school. My son is 14 and was charged $30 (which was fine) and my daughter who is 10 was charged at $50!!!!! I made no request for anything but a hair cut. When I was expecting to spend 60ish… It was over $100. Almost double and when money is tight this is a huge stab in the side.. It was no communicated that we were going to be charged double. I won’t be coming back. And I recommend if you do go ask what you’re going to be charged because going up to the register and being told that two haircuts for kids are $80 is bit of a shock. I feel scammed

The girls are all so kind and they take the best care of you. From complimentary food/drinks to the attention of detail that they put into your hair. Rebecca Keiki-Marie Morris I have been getting my haircut here for a little while now. I just received a cancellation from The stylist at 3 o’clock for my 330 appointment that says this: Hello Rebecca this is Nicole from Urban Spa Salon. I hope you are doing well, I regret to inform you that I am closing my books this week which means I have to adjust my clients a bit. I can no longer take you on as a client due to limited space on my schedule… for me, this is just poor business. Let somebody know 30 minutes before their appointment that you are dropping them from your books??? They offered me a 5 o’clock appointment with somebody else today that is unknown to me. I’m already busy at five today as well. A call yesterday or last week, But 30 minutes before an Appointment?? I initially came to Nicole for the “Curly Girl” cut style, which she doesn’t do. The last cut I got from her also frizzed my bangs, an okay cut… I am glad that business isnt normally like this, and I still find myself w/out any resolve. I also wonder if there has been any update about how this happened, was I the only person? Still wondering

Stefanie Goodwin you ever see on the internet where they use a string to make measurements and marks to get perfectly even eyebrows? they do that here! i wish i got her name but i have never had more even and beautifully symmetrical eyebrows ever and the color is a perfect match for my hair. Alyssa Candiff Alex is absolutely wonderful! He always gets me in quickly and is great at helping me decide what to do with my hair. He goes above and beyond, doing things like running out to get supplies after a last minute change in plans on what we’re doing. I’ve never had a stylist that is so knowledgeable and experienced. Would definitely recommend!

I have been wanting to get a hair cut for a while but after a past bad experience with a hair stylist, I’ve been a bit anxious about going back to a salon. I heard about this salon from my friends and sister. I came to this salon with a somewhat idea of what I wanted but still was hoping to get a consultation. My specialist was Alex and I am so happy that I went to him. He is an amazing specialists. He told me a lot about my hair throughout the entire process, about what it needs, what to avoid, I learned a lot about different products and ingredients to look for. He has given me a gorgeous hair cut and he also patiently showed and explained how should I properly do a blowout style with my new haircut. My overall experience at the soon was great. The salon is beautiful, clean and sanitized. All worked are welcoming and super friendly. I enjoyed my couple hours at this place. You truly can feel relaxed. I left this salon with a beautiful haircut, a smile on my face, peace and joy within and a lot of new knowledge about my hair as well as treatment and care tips.

Shellie Siciliano My hair has a very curly/frizzy texture and it is also going grey . Alex takes the time explaining how to care for my hair and products that work best for me, which I appreciate greatly. He is a wonderful listener and will confirm the decision(s) after discussion. He does a wonderful job in both the coloring and cutting of my challenging mop of hair. The salon itself is spotless. I would recommend highly.

Crystal I am new to the area and came here to get my root done. The receptionist was very nice and welcoming. The 1st time my stylist was Lianne. I let her know I had greys on my hairline which really bother me. I let her know they can be stubborn to color. Thinking this would be a good heads up on how to deal with my hair. This salon uses AVEDA color. Which didnt work on me! The color left my greys greenish in color and the shampoo and conditioner left it dry and looking dull. On a side note, Lianne didnt have time to finish my hair and I had to leave with my hair half wet. She only partly diffused my hair which made it frizzy. I called and let them know what happened and how I still had greys. They apologized and asked me to go back so they could fix it. This time it was with Willma. She was very sweet and she redid my hair. She also took the time to dry and flat iron my hair. I let her know that my scalp was sensitive from the last visit and she put the heat on low and kept checking in on me. I left the salon with dry hair and with my greys. I paid for the service and didnt get what I paid for. The place is nice and so are the employees, but clearly, the products suck for my type of hair. As I am writing this review i am sitting in a new salon getting my hair redone again for the 3 time in 3 weeks.

Simone is particularly incredible! Shes a true professional who always makes my hair look amazing-and its like seeing an old friend every time I go in. Holly Fritz My daughter and I have been going here for about three years now. I have been finding myself needing to book and putting it off longer and longer between appointments. I realized after my daughters last experience its not because I dont like their services or because I am trying to grow out my hair or something. I hesitate to book because their booking experience is *super stressful* because it doesnt matter who you book with and you can say on the website that you only want that person when it comes to the actual day about 50% of the time **they switch out your stylist without any warning**. You cant call and request a specific person because they dont have a receptionist and they never answer their phones. My daughter was very careful at her last appointment to book with her stylist while she was there and said she only wanted to see her. So when her next appointment came up she was sure that was supposed to be who it was. Unfortunately her stylist was sick and they called and asked if she could be seen by someone else and she said no I want to wait for her so they booked her about a week out when her normal stylist had an opening. She showed up and lo and behold her stylist was indeed there, but they had booked her with someone else. This has happened to both of us multiple times. (Not the stylist being sick, but the swapping out stylists without letting us know.) I hate getting my haircut - it makes me extremely anxious and Ive had a lot of very bad cuts. I was so happy to find them because I felt like they really listened and I liked a couple of my haircuts quite a bit! I just cant go back to some place that I cant trust to book with someone that Im building relationship with. Thats the entire reason I booked with a specific person. I felt comfortable with that person and I want to see that person again. I dont understand how if I book an appointment at the end of my appointment with my stylist how it could possibly get switched out by the time that next appointment rolls around. We both have check the online booking to make sure its set up for the correct person right up until the day of! It causes me too much worry. Im going to move on to look for somewhere new.

Lindsey Urton I have never wrote a bad review in my life but I don’t want another girl to go through what I went through. I went in the salon with ginger hair, I asked to go as light as possible and get a little trim. Tell me why I left with DARK BROWN HAIR and hair shorter than my shoulders. I thought I would try a new salon but I spent nearly $500!!! And ended up leaving SOBBING. I went back in to rebook and see if I could get it fixed, they did not offer a discount and yes I still tipped. They did not offer a discount to get it fixed just tried to explain to me that it was a miscommunication even though the hair I left with was nothing remotely what I had asked for. I called back multiple times that week to see if they would be able to make it right, they did not answer the phone as I believe they knew who was calling. The lady that did my hair did feel really bad, and I know she knew she messed up really bad. My hair is not super healthy so dying it many times was not an option. I understand that mistakes happen, I just don’t understand how I went in asking for blonder and I left with 3 shades darker then what I came in with. I’m writing this because still nothing has been done about this situation and I just can’t justify spending more money I ever have getting my hair done and leaving heartbroken. Like I came back in sobbing and they did nothing but tell me how it ended up looking this rough. I know the pictures aren’t great but I hope this helps. The first one is a reference.

Isabel Mocca What an amazing salon with the most welcoming and talented people! I had the pleasure of being Kaitlyns guest and every aspect of my visit was incredible. Starting the appointment with the wellness touch was very unique and I loved it. I felt listened to on what I wanted and that Kaitlyn was quick but also paid such close attention to detail, I knew my hair would be exactly what I wanted! It turned out so beautifully done. So overall, a wonderful experience and I will absolutely be coming back as a long term client while shes around!

sunshyneandsmiles Today was my third appointment. At my first appointment Id called in advance to schedule a cut AND color. Upon arrival I learned that only time for a cut had been schedule and I had to come back two weeks later for the color. When I returned I showed an image of medium brown hair. My stylist had to ask another stylist how to mix that particular shade. I ended up with dark, espresso-colored hair, not medium brown. I always give a place three chances so I booked with the same person to return a third time two months later. After being seated I was told it would be $255 to lighten my hair with highlights. I declined and agreed to a cut only which seemed to upset the stylist. She cut my hair dry, not wet, and I ended up with uneven hair about an inch longer on the right side. I pointed it out and she gave a half effort attempt to fix it but didnt and I have clearly lopsided hair. She asked that I pay with cash which I did AND still included a 20% tip. I wont be returning.

Sawyer I came in on a Sunday a couple weeks ago for a hair cut and partial highlights. The salon was beautiful and very clean. Everyone was polite and welcoming. My problem is with the end result of my hair, the length of my hair was perfect except for my bangs which I asked the stylist to cut my bangs below my eyebrows and they ended up being way above my eyebrows which I really didnt like. Then a lot of the highlights were pretty far from my scalp, it looks like I had gotten highlights over a month ago. I had asked her 3 times to please get the highlights as close to my scalp as possible. The last thing is she did a deep conditioning treatment for $35 without telling me she was going to or even asking me if I wanted that. Overall Im disappointed. The pictures attached are 2 days after my appointment.

Norma Zarate Victor cuts my hair and he is really professional and a detail guy.... all the people they work they are friendly and good at ther job they are always smiling and making jokes, they make you feel comfortable.. Im being using them for 2 years and Victor still surprised me with a good haircut event better of what I ask.

Shayla Jackson I have come here 4 times now. I’ve left overjoyed each and every time. I’ve gone to Lenita and Veronica twice each so far. I am sort of last minute so I choose whoever is available between the two of them. My most recent time I got layers for the second time in my life with Lenita. She recommended it to me the time before and I am soooo in love with my hair. She was quick and made the cut seem effortless. I will continue to come back here.

Manx Avoid this place - I wish I would have. I went in for color & highlight & haircut - had pictures of what I requested - told it was not a problem. Unfortunately my hair did not come out anything like what I asked for. The response from the salon owner to my stylist “a few more foils framing the face and it’ll be fine” & how she doesn’t have time & there’s no refunds. When I respectfully expressed my disagreement with the owner’s assessment- I was told the owner recommended that the stylist get me in the chair and straighten my hair and show me the color with direct lighting to show how texture and lighting affects the appearance of the color. other than that, the only difference she sees in the color is that the inspo pictures highlight are a lot brighter and ashier than your honey blonde, which is what you had me tone is down to since the original highlights were too bright for you. other than that it is the exact same red and brown color applied to your hair in the exact same application that any of us stylists know how to do. 1) the highlights I requested be “toned down” were not “too bright” - they were too grey. It literally looked like the natural grey in my hair. (Also - those grey highlights were only on top of my head - the rest of the highlights throughout my hair were a kind of honey to light brown color.) 2) why would I waste my time to go back to “sit in a chair” so someone can straighten my hair and try gaslighting me. I have absolutely NEVER complained about my hair results anywhere before. I’ve gotten a poor hair cut from time to time from salons, it happens - I just take my business elsewhere for the next one. I’ve never had a bad color issue like this one, but to have a salon owner have such a dismissive attitude. Yeah, not a place I’d ever recommend anyone take their business. (Also - owner never even contacted me, all information was relayed by stylist) TL:DR - Avoid this salon, because the owner could not care less if the customer is happy or got what they asked for. And the prices are ridiculous! $65 for a basic hair cut.
