beya jedidi Only one lady working and ended up rushing my nails because someone else was waiting. She was a nice lady but was very rushed and my nails ended up uneven, bumpy and sloppy. I really wish she had taken her time. Will not be returning, it’s too pricey for the quality of work. I will be getting my nails corrected at a different salon..

blo She slapped nail polish on and got upset when I asked her to redo my nail. Horrible service. Daughter backed up her mom by saying my nails looked fine. If I could attach a photo you would all laugh.

Gilles Ralph (SkaiDevil) The lady who did my wifes nails had great hospitality and place was nice. The only downfall was being charged $150 for mediocre nails. Wont be going back.

-shelby- I came here to get my nails done and I regret it, she wouldn’t let me make them any shorter, she left clumps, there’s bubbles on my nails, she kept drilling into my skin, she burned me twice, she didn’t even completely cover my nail in the polish. I wish I never went. Absolute waste of money and time.

Chi Love I love my nails. I spent $130 on a chrome fill, nail design and pedicure but my feet felt so good afterwards and she moisturized them well. She also has chips, snacks and coffee available should you want something to snack on or quench your thirst with. She is always grateful for your business and says thank you with a smile. I’ll be coming back.

Holly Rawlings This is THE place. The place is clean and the massage chairs are solid. The vibe is retro, reminds me of Cali nails salons from 2005. I love the ladies here and my pedicure is always fresh AF. I’m not posting pics because no one gets these dawgs for free. Price: - 65-70 for a gel pedi, long massage, and treatment. - make an appointment!

Kelli Jones My nails looked cute but this place is SUPER COSTLY. i got a new full set (french tip) and had my old nails taken off. not a huge deal, I was there like an hour. it was nearly $70. yes you read that correctly. They do good work here but it is super expensive. Just way way out of my price range.

Barb Monroe Took my 13 yo grand daughter for acrylics before vacation. She showed them a photo of what she wanted. There was Nothing about her nails that looked like the photo. She was really unhappy. I will not return there with her again. If you are not ready to speak up about what you want if you see it going sideways I would find another place to go.

Lena Mullins Was a lot of money for a pedicure 70 and the lady used all the scrub on one led ran out and used lotion on the other after practically rubbing my one led raw on my tattoo. Very high price definitely not the best I have had. My nails and feet came out nice but wouldnt say it was worth the cost at all.

Alecia Hazelton I hate to leave negative reviews but I am just so disappointed. They treated my Mom just fine, but when I expressed concern for a certain area of my fingers that seems to be snipped (the skin nipped and bled) the gal at the station next to me kind of brushed me off telling me not to worry. Not Even a full 2 minutes later I get snipped and bled. The lady did not have much concern, no apology. Just put the burning glue on my cut to stop the bleeding. No one asked later if I was fine, no discount or care. I had popped in and out of this nail salon for over 20 years and this was definitely my last time. Also, when I first walked in, they told me to go to Vnails across the parking lot. I declined and it felt like they reluctantly made me stay... possibly calling someone from there to come over to do our nails. I have had bad experiences at Vnails and its clear now that they are affiliated with one another. My mistake. My finger still hurts.

Melissa Dickerson I have been going to this nail place for 10+ years. The last couple times I have been there. I feel rushed and they are just trying to get as many customers as possible. This last time I was in there I was extremely rushed. The lady that was doing my nails, gave me chemical burns all over my hands. One of my fingers is bad. I will never go back.

Tykierra Pamela I’ve been coming here since I was 15 and I am now 20. There’s been times where I wouldn’t return but after my recent visit. There will be no more service from me. I cracked my nail a little bit before I went in, You can still see the cracks. Then I asked for a second coat and she told me no, and you cannot even see the holographic butterflies. my nails still look the same to me as they did before (they were clear gel). only different is there’s a fill. And I felt like she was rushing due to there being 4 more customers patiently waiting. And if you’re curious about your pricing, definitely ask before the service.

Bella Rios I’ve been a customer for almost a year now and I LOVE Dary’s Nail Spot. The service is always excellent and I always love my nails when I leave. Dary is incredibly talented and always hooks me up since I never know what to get. I never leave unhappy. Randy is hilarious and gives killer foot massages. They truly go above and beyond to satisfy their customers, plus theyre technically proficient, competitively priced AND all discussions inside the shop are in English! Even though Id like to keep them all to myself, Darys Nails Spot deserves to be shouted from the rooftops.

Wendy Wilson This is the best salon I have ever been to. Dary is so experienced and always knows what to do when dealing with my problem nails. Whenever I ask for something different its no problem. Both Dary and Randy friendly and fun to talk with. Over the past year or so, I have gotten to know them and consider them to be friends. I used to go to other bigger salons, but usually had to wait a long time even with an appointment, and then got passed from one person to another, never knowing if my nails would turn out good or not. I like being able to have an appointment and know that all of Dary or Randys focus will be on me for that time period, and I never have to worry about if my nails will look nice or not -- they always look great!

Heather Harp Im SO impressed with Dary and Randys fantastic nail salon. I had previously had a bad experience at a different nail place, so I needed someone who could fix the previous job as well as do a design I would love! Dary did a beautiful job fixing my acrylics and I was very pleased with the white/nude gel mani I left with. She asked for my input on the shape/length throughout the process and I LOVE the result! Randy is a pro with pedis. The massage was a great bonus too, hes awesome! Im so excited I found this place. They are by appointment only so I made sure to book out a couple more appointments because they are super busy (with good reason, theyre the best in the area!)

I recently ruined my nail and the tech was very informative and encouraged me to Do what was best for the health of my nail, including skipping polish this time around. This was greatly appreciated as she could have easily tried to upsell me gel polish .

Jarraf Leila “Sunny” Loved it!! The people there are very nice and accommodating. I came in with a blurry idea of what I wanted, and even with my unclear vision they still managed to do a great job. They have a cute selection of stickers-- I went with a Halloween theme-- and I love how they glow under the light. I posted a version with/without a light source. Even without, the ombre that they did still looks fantastic. Seeing them at face value, I already adore it. But once the sunlight hits them, and you start to see the stickers and the red pop out, its a whole new layer of adoration. They accept walk-ins, and the pricing is very fair. Also, right above where theyre doing your nails theres a giant TV with a silly little show playing on it. Even though Im not interested in TV, I found myself invested and not even feeling the time of the process. All in all, it was a nice experience.

Ezra Mars Got a cat eye gel manicure and had a great time. The person who took care of me was very careful with my stubborn and sensitive cuticles. The final result looks freakin sweet, definitely coming back!!

Emma Temples This is hands down the best pedicure I’ve ever had. I went here after reading some great Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. I’m an avid hiker and had rough looking feet, to include plenty of blisters. Hana took her time and was very detailed. The prices were reasonable as well, with the top tier pedicure option being $34. This will now be my go-to place for any nails! I highly recommend. (P.S- please don’t judge my Chaco tan lines).

Beya Jedidi WORST acrylic set Ive ever gotten. Could of done a better job myself while blindfolded. They have no attention to detail. 7 out of 10 nails are severely crooked. They also had one of there 15 year old daughters try and paint my nails... Like seriously. Absolutely terrible. Please avoid this place at all costs. They also do not sanitize any of their tools.

Faith Foster They take their time with each customer. Their pedicure was exactly what my feet and legs needed after working on my feet all week. Very relaxing! I will be sure to make an appointment next time knowing how amazing they are and how attentive they are. Wonderful!

Kelli Jones A bit of a disappointment - The nail tech was actually on the phone texting people and taking breaks and stopping to observe how the tech next to her was doing, while, working on me - what? She actually also stopped to take a 2-3 minute phone call while doing my nails. Then, to make matters even worse, I had a scheduled appointment and they were super late to get to me and I ended up being there almost 2 hours. People make scheduled appointments for a reason and "walk in" customers need to be told to wait or schedule their own appointment. SMH :(

Brenda Gonzalez Service was good. Nice and clean, but when it came to pay I was expecting $35 for the overlay, I got normal polish but it came to $40. The lady was sweet and explained $5 for the polish which was a little crazy to me because out of all the nail places I have gone they have never charged for normal polish extra. Would have been nice to know prior. They also have a coupon online but she said that it was an old coupon and it’s no longer valid but it’s on their website. You would think they would have taken it off if it’s not valid anymore . They remind me of spirit or frontier. They will charge you on stuff that you weren’t expecting.

I loved the service & the cleanliness of the place. My mom had her pedicure & said it was amazing!! We usually come to this place but havent in years. Kristen Moe I went in for a full set acrylic nails, they started on my nails they pushed me to get gel, I said no. I asked for a design on a single crescent moon, he said he couldnt do that with regular nail polish. Informed me that cutting my cuticles would be 5 extra because thats not included but if they dont cut the cuticles the nail wont stick. Also its extra 10 if you dont want EXTREMELY short nails. So my 45$ full set was turning into $70. I stopped the nail person and said forget it. How is cuticles not included in a full set of nails?! Absurd.

BABYDOLL HICKMAN Ive been coming here for 5 years. The service is great. They have remodeled and its beautiful! The owner is a Pro. Shes done my nails many times. Im always satisfied with all the workers. Watching the preparation of foods on their TV will leave you hungry!!!

Jessica Clementz I was in last Sunday, spent $70 on my nails, rather than doing acrylic dip powder with the liquid to build up my nails which I’ve been doing for well over 5 months, I was talked into just using the standard dip method. Ok fine i suppose. He did t cut my nails down and proceeded to just go on his merry way. I had a short thumb and 9 long nails. Ummmm no. Now today after changing from church I put on my shorts and my index finger nail color pops off. I will never be back. I am thoroughly disappointed and dissatisfied with the service I received for the price I paid.

Amanda Bachrach The picture is my nails after 5 days. The slight color difference you may notice is because I have the color change gel polish, it’s my fav & go to every time. They do a great job & are always very nice. It does get busy, so expect to wait or have to come back if you don’t have an appointment, especially during this time of Covid. They also have cute masks for sale if you don’t have one. I’ve been coming here for 5 years and really enjoy my experience every time!

Michel Staples I went back for a fill because of my first experience with them and my nails are horrible. Sharp unfiled not cleaned underneath after I asked. I can SEE where the fill was added. Such a let down.. I am not returning after they fixTHEIR mistakes. My nails scratch me my clothes and they dont look good.

Jessica Adams Eh, I dont really like posting online reviews for every little thing that goes wrong in life while interacting with businesses and services BUT I have to for this place. All I can say it that I got a manicure at around 6:00 PM on Friday, it is now Sunday morning and I have huge chips in my polish. I dont like Shellac for my own reasons so I never get it. But had they an OPI polish selection, this wouldnt have happened. The man who did my nails was very nice, did a great job with the shaping and manicuring but in general, the polish job was not great, even for twelve bucks. Cute little shop, though. Off to get a new manicure before the work week...

Stormi Lamm Oh my , I walked in here w my sister we had the same exact nail idea; at first they did not understand what we wanted eben with photo reference , they proceeded to complain how hard it was mind you it was only just different color acrylics no designs except French tip… the whole time the lady filed down my nails it BURNTTT!!! I was in shock, she did not say one thing to me which I don’t mind yk do your thing.. also sat me and my sister across the place from one another aswell. We didn’t think much of it , my sisters were allll messed up and filled tooo thin, her nail beds were burnt and ended up breaking a couple within a week, them coming off you can completly see where they filed my real nail too thin and damaged it. I donnnnt recommend .

R. Very rough on the nails. They were inattentive (put cuticle oil on one foot and not the other) and rushed through everything they didn’t even file the nails down they just clipped them. To top it all off their prices in store don’t match the online price!! After having years without a pedi and experiencing this …I would not recommend.

Joyce Lee If you haven’t been here yet, you need to. Both Trinh and her friend did amazing work on me and was so kind and gentle. They knew I have an injury and made sure to be accommodating and gentle when doing my pedicure to make sure I was taken care of. Not to mention Trinh and her friend were able to fix my nails despite them having been unevenly misshaped. They are quite literally the best! PS. They do not take ApplePay so make sure to bring cash or card!!

sheila wiggins Went here today, and had the best pedicure! They greeted me immediately, and I was seated for a pedicure! It was very relaxing, and I actually got a long massage with the service! They listened to what I wanted, and did not want done, and my toes and feet are looking/feeling amazing! Thank you for the wonderful pedicure! Amy Pagano I leave this review at the risk of this hidden treasure getting discovered. I’ve been to all of the places in Tacoma over the years and this one has become my favorite. It’s low key but has three nice features that I appreciate and that it it apart from others: (1) if you call to schedule an appointment, the appointment time will actually be honored and they will have someone waiting to help you when you arrive; (2) super easy parking; (3) the owner and staff are very nice and friendly and I’ve never had any complaints about my monthly pedicure.

briana gonzalez I have been to this nail salon once prior for a gel mani and pedi and had a great experience being that staff was nice and the work was quality. Based off of that first experience I decided to return today for an acrylic set of nails and gel pedi. I am so beyond unsatisfied in what i received for the $113 I paid. Long story short I had a picture reference for some nail art, employee said no problem, I had to stop service multiple times because I was being hurt with the file and then the drill bit. When it came to the design it appeared the marble was too complicated( although it was advertised as a design that could be done). After attempting the design and realizing it was only getting worse I said forget the design can I just get some gold leaf and got told why don’t you glitter that’s gonna take too long. I’m just super disappointed that my time was wasted if I was asking for too much I should have been told that and I would had left to find what I was looking for elsewhere. Instead they wasted my time with thinking it could be done and then after much discussion and delay the final product is probably the most mediocre mishapened set of nails I’ve ever had. I will not be returning again and suggest if you need anything more than a basic mani pedi you steer clear. This is the first review I have ever left on anything EVER so don’t waste you time or money on people just trying to get you in the chair and not actually giving good service at all.

I’m more of a simple dip person, and prefer my nails short, but the designs I’ve seen are quality. Clean salon with many workers with no turnover.

Donna Canright I have been going to this shop since 2011. I started getting my nails done here when I lived in University Place. After I moved to Bonney Lake I found myself driving to Tacoma to get my nails done because Tammy and Danny do such a good job. Tammy pays attention to detail and demands that from her staff. Her shop is very clean. When my children or friends come to visit I would always do a girls spa day because of how amazing their pedicures are. Now we have moved to Idaho and visit every other month. So I drive from another state to get my nails done. I always get tons of compliments. I have nothing but high regard for this shop.

I’ve gone to other locations where I’ve gotten an acrylic fill and they’ve told me that I didn’t need my cuticles to be done even though they looked horrible. These people give you want you ask for. She was so kind and accommodating to my client. Once she was finished my client absolutely loved her nails. She couldnt stop smiling. I told her what id love and she went above and beyond my expectations!! They are strict with there rules and actually, I love that.. Diana Pilat I’m pretty sure Lauren did my nails. I came in with acrylics that a salon in Florida did for me. It was over a month since I had them done. The gel still hadn’t chipped but my nails were just too long. I needed a fill. I wanted white tips this time. I had paid $35 for a full set gel polish acrylics in Florida. Lauren said $40 for a fill or $30 if I didn’t want a color change. I thought that meant she would apply the same color gel that I had before. She removed my existing acrylic color and clipped my nails shorter. She filed down the top of my pointer finger nail way too much so it’s lumpy. She proceed to apply a clear gel polish without having me wash all the dust off my hands. By the time she was creating the white tip, I was confused because I could see the old acrylic through the clear nail polish and I was worried the dust would make the nail polish chip. I just never had a fill before so I didn’t know the process. I told her right away that I didn’t want clear because it’s ugly and shows my messed up nail beds. I said that I thought she would paint on a similar pink color like I came in with. I didn’t even mention the lumpy nail. She made up some excuses and just stared at me. I had my baby with me so I had to go but I was very sad because $30 is a lot to waste on bad nails. Then she had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to give a tip since I was paying with card. I’m so shocked that she knew she didn’t give me what she promised or what I wanted, yet she still expected a tip. Most disappointing is that within a day, my middle finger chipped a lot. Today (the second day) my thumb chipped. All the nail edges look wavy as if they’re 2 weeks old. So disappointed. Never going there again. worst mani ever. I called today when my nails chipped but they just picked up the phone so I could hear people in the background but no one spoke to me.

SW (TopRamen) Cute little place to get your nails manicure / pedicure done. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere to just relax. Convenient location and plenty of parking. Reasonable pricing for other services as well. A way to relax is get a spa pedicure which is pretty awesome, comes with a foot massage.

C MC Due to my job, I cant do colors, so I wanted just light pink acrylic. I gaff to remove an old acrylic set that Ive had on since b4 I moved here (1.5 months ago). This is the 1st nail shop Ive been to since moving here, and Im glad I came here. They were patient and kind. And did a great job. And my pedicure was better than Ive gotten from my favorite tech back home. I dont give many places 5 starts, so please dont feel bad about not getting 5 from me. They just eagle rarely exist. No place is perfect. Just a great 1st experience. Acrylic with clear gel $35, feet $35, soak off $15. For me, its great.

J. Melody (Amayzun) Small place. Three pedi chairs and two mani tables. But I was the only one there, so the girls did my nails and my pedi at the same time. Someone reviewed this place & said the staff didnt talk to them... Thats correct, and as an introvert - I loved it! I appreciate nail techs and stylists that do not feel the need to ask if I have a boyfriend or what kind of work do I do. This place did a great job & Ill definitely go back. Also, they were very gentile.

Dominique Collins Gel polish and full set. Requested square round to cover my set of clean, polished and buffed natural nails- no repair needed. The acrylics were placed crooked in both directions and there are several pockets of air in the color of many nails. I’ve brought my mom, sister and friends regularly and suggested many coworkers, acquaintances and otherwise. Already sent them back to Pensee Nails for the quality beverages and overall service (Ask for Kathy). If you’re going to pay almost a bill might as well enjoy good company along with complimentary champagne, soda or wine and really treat yourself like the Queen or King you are. At the end of my visit, when I’d prepared the regular $40 she states services have increased and motioned her body towards her price board near the entrance but there were no updates to a single price. $55 for a crooked ghetto set. I pulled several bills out and paid card. Sincerely SMH and Disappointed. They act like your auntie then reveal their motives are like a serpent coiling around us and our wallets, money hungry in this world like everyone else. So sad bc they’re mid at best. Learn from me. As a woman of God and of wisdom, along with holding down jobs in tech and service to keep my family comfortable I tipped $5. $55 indicates she included her tip and believes she hustled another victim. D&T- I pray that as you read this you seek reverence in the Lord, that He returns your behaviors to you via karma and you no longer prosper due to the abnormal operations and disingenuous posture of your heart. Greed is not the answer. At $40 I would tip $60+, holidays or otherwise bc I have the budget to bless as this is the only nice thing time allows me to do for myself. Woman in tech, cannabis and service. Being a single parent I’ve learned to be frugal and enjoy the time I invest to establish authentic relationships with my nail tech. Need a new backup to Kathy but this makes me weary to even search around town. Noticing a trend with Asian nail techs and I’m half Asian so non-racist just observation at this point.

Michael Savage I had a fantastic idea for my wifes nails for a wedding we are going to, they literally got us in within 10 minutes. They did fantastic on her nails and she said it was the quickest and most professional nail service she ever had. It wasnt very expensive and my wife is very happy

Dawn Chronister Was there when the shop opened on a Saturday The tech was surprised that I was there before her. Overall it was a good expierence. She was the only one there, so I feel bad when others came in for services and there was a wait. She was attentive to getting my nails right and making sure they were dry before I left. The shop is clean. The chairs a little old and losing or lost their cushion. Would be my only major complaint. She listened when I said my feet were ticklish and where, so there was no unnecessary jumping.

Nica Alameda I highly recommend this nail salon for pedicure, spa and manicure. Jennie is wonderful and does a fantastic job each time I go here. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing! They have the option of regular polish, shellac and dip powder. Broad selections of colors. The location have plenty of parking as well. Finally found my go to nail salon!

Lyudmila Zaytsev Came in today to get remove my full set and ask him to clean my nails and cut cuticle. Charge me $35 for manicure. I wish I can post pictures. Not happy with todays experience wont come back.

Noel Michelle Jeannie and Chi are both great! Chi is exceptionally talented technically, and her pedis are the best! Jeannie is highly skilled and artistic as well. I dont know the mans name, but Ill pass on him if I have a chance at one of the girls.
