Wendy Wright This Salon is so conveniently located with such a relaxing environment and with some pretty talented artists. Leah is my absolute favorite and at 57 Ive had a lot of hairdressers but I think I finally found just the perfect one. She is absolutely an amazing hair stylist. Shes truly worth every visit and the budget Ive got to work with. I could not be happier with Leah. See for yourself. Shes an artist with class and darn good color knowledge. Talent is abundant at Concepts Hair Salon.

Kate I came to Concepts to get a balayage as a new client to the area. I scheduled with Leah and she was AMAZING! I am relieved to find my local stylist after a very disappointing experience at another salon (see before and after photo, along with inspiration photo.) I was immediately put at ease by her reaching out before the appointment to learn more about what I was working with now and looking to get. She is an excellent communicator throughout the process and values your input. She did a GORGEOUS job getting my pink to where I wanted it. 10/10 recommend!

Trina Terrill I needed some advice. My hair was cut a bit shorter than I was looking to have at another salon. I was reassured, made to feel comfortable, and they helped me that day. The salon is warm and friendly. Great Staff! I am looking forward to my future appointments.

Romina My daughter and I had our hair cut by Elvia today who is the sweetest! We had the most amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, she made us feel welcomed and comfortable. She was not only highly skilled but also genuinely passionate about what she does. She is so sweet! My daughter and I absolutely love our haircuts. She also made her feel so comfortable and gave her the big girl treatment. The end result was beyond my expectations. des go I had an appointment with Elvia and will definitely be going back to see her. She was so welcoming and sweet, I loved the products she used (they made my hair feel so soft and they smelled good, too) and she did a fantastic job. The salon is also beautiful and comfortable. I highly recommend this salon.

TRACY OHARE My 12 year old will only go to Anchor! They listen to what he asks for and make it look great. He likes it so much I decided to get my hair done there too and BEST haircut I have ever gotten.

Amanda Wells I love this shop! My husband and I both see Johnny for our haircuts and he is phenomenal. The shop is clean and stylish, all of the staff members are friendly, and their online booking system is easy to use. I highly recommend this shop.

Alicia Gaston Been a client for a couple years. My husband went for barber services and mentioned they are also a salon. Im a woman and I get washed, cut, blown/styled, facial and color services. I see Hallie and will continue to see her. I feel like she takes the time to listen, clarify, advise and listen again before she picks up shears. Shes especially great at razor cuts & texture. Highly recommend.

Erika Hernadez I got my hair done by Briana & did not like as it wasn’t as the picture I provided. I asked for fix or refund & the girl got mad she can’t refund me but fix as I didn’t want it to get more ruined she made the situation worse. She wanted to charge me for “fixing” as I had to go to another salon to get it fixed. Over charged & did not understand client. She lost a client as she comes out rude & doesn’t fix her error. Never again going & don’t recommend for the price she charges!

RieRie Lorena is an amazing stylist! She has an eye for detail and wont leave you disappointed! I have had my hair colored and cut by her over 10 times and have never left not loving it! She is a master at coloring! I am sad to see Lorena has moved on from here. So glad to be able to continue my services with her and to see her growth! Go see her on College Way at The Hair Republic

J MeetMe I moved here in 2022 and finding a new hairstylist was so difficult. One of my coworkers recommended Shelli to me last year when I was having a hard time finding a stylist I could trust. She always listens to make sure I get exactly what I want and asks questions if my explanation isn’t the best. I have loved every single cut and color she has done for me. She is also a great listener when it comes to personal matters; it’s like a free therapy session. I always feel like a million dollars when I leave. The clothes in the boutique are so trendy and definitely worth going in and looking at even if you don’t need a salon service. I urge you to check out the new location on 1st Street! Thank you Shelli for everything and for making me feel beautiful inside and out.

Willa Johnson I’ve been going to Shelli for my hair since I’ve been in Middle school, and I’ve got to say that as a 25 year old now—she is still the only person I trust to do it! Chique Boutique is always an inviting atmosphere, and Shelli is wonderful at listening to what you want and not only giving you that style but also educating and providing input. I really recommend heading on down to cute old town Mount Vernon and checking out the Chique Boutique as soon as you can!

M G Shelli is amazing with everything, but what I really wanted to give her kudos with is her work on my eye lashes! They are amazing! Shellis Salon is clean, warm, and inviting! She took her time with me and always made sure that I was comfortable :-) I will always be getting my lashes done by Shelli at Chique Boutique Salon from now on!!! Ive had them done before by others and one of the biggest complaints I had was that they did not glue each eyelash on to each of my individual eyelashes and so when one would get loose it would take out 3 to 5 of my natural eyelashes. Thank you Shelli!

She took my wrecked hair color and walked me through a restoring process "takes talent" to do this, and made it absolutely natural and beautiful again. Katie Bondar Came in for a balayage and the stylist did foils instead. Ruined my hair because she overbleached it and burned my scalp in the process. My hair still didnt turn out the way I wanted it, but different tones of yellow and orange. Its been over 2 months now since this happened, but Im still paying for the crappy service I got.

Elinor & Xena I am not really a review writer but I had such a wonderful experience with this salon that it needed to be shared. Melissa was my stylist and she gave me a hair cut and protein treatment today. I am self admittedly a hard to please customer and have been burned so badly by other hair experiences in the past so having a great experience here goes a long way. Melissa is very educated in healthy curls. I am a curly girl with fragile curls and specific needs for products, cuts, and styling types. Melissa gave me the first good haircut, for my curly hair, that I think I have ever received. I completely stopped getting my hair cut more than 5 years ago (I am 30) because every time I was horrified by the results. Melissa gave me the opposite experience, I left with healthier bouncier softer, more defined curls, and she gave me a trim without taking too much of my length. I am so happy and impressed with her knowledge, grace and professionalism but also balanced with being totally personable and friendly. I will definitely be going back.

Chelsea L Finally found a wonderful hair stylist! I recently booked a full highlight/cut with Colleen and I was so impressed. Coming from Whidbey Island, the basic pricing for highlights is absolutely outrageous. I was paying upwards of $500 every three months to get my hair highlighted and cut. I was so tired of going to a hair salon where it felt like the owner of the hair salon was side-eyeing and judging everyone, on top of the prices they were charging. I was really going out on a limb when I decided to book with Colleen at Genesis and I am so glad I did. Though I am sad I didnt find her sooner!! She was SO kind and SO nice to talk to. I felt like she was truly genuine when it came to talking to me about the integrity of my hair and I was in awe with the end result. She is amazing and Ive already spread her name around work, so Im hoping everyone takes the leap of faith and books with her soon :)

Domino’s Pizza Edited to include my response to the worker: I saw what I saw and heard what I heard. This isn’t a new account you just can’t see the reviews I’ve done because I have it set up that way! I’m sure that person went on their way and continued working with no problem. I’m sure they wouldn’t have taken the order if they didn’t want to, I’m just saying it was rude and and uncalled for to laugh and make jokes about someone doing a service for you. Don’t you work for tips as well? Then you should know better. But to each their own. Believe what you want. I spoke on it and that’s all. Good luck with your business. Today I saw something I don’t think will ever allow me to return to this salon again! The salon worker got an Instacart order while I was there and it was a rather large order. 6 cases of water and more!! She made jokes and laughed about how the poor young girl struggled to get everything inside and then made fun of the fact that she only tipped her $8 dollars for all that hard work! I felt so bad for this young girl delivering the order! This was absolutely unacceptable and uncalled for! Today was the last day I step foot inside this building! The salon worker should be ashamed of her actions and behavior! They lost a customer today!

Linda Ramsdell If you arent getting your hair done here or even eyebrows... you arent doing it right! Just come see Sonia. Trust me. Im picky about hair on levels you wont believe. Sonia is the best! Extensions? She can do an amazing job. Color? Yesss!!!! Cuts? Yesssss! Just stop wasting your money on the meh and get yourself right the first time!

Wren Perry I have always just had my mom cut my hair so I didnt really know how to describe what I wanted other than pictures. Emily was AMAZING and asked all the right questions and she made me feel like a brand new person. Not only did she cut it but she styled it PERFECTLY. She was really sweet and I dont think it could have been any better. The place was so clean and they offered refreshments!! If you want your hair done Id definitely come here!

The vibe of the salon was not for me, and for the cut I got I found the price to be expensive. I arrived 10 minutes early and was finally called for service 15 minutes later than my appointment time.

Audrey Temes There are hair stylists, and then there’s Brenda. She’s a true artist; just check out her instagram! I have gone to some of the finest salons in Seattle in search of a good haircut for my fine, thin hair and then found this gem of a salon in Mount Vernon. Brenda is not only warm and personable, she is knowledgeable and talented. She gave me a lot of pointers on how to maintain my new style and I have received a lot of compliments on my hair cut. This was my first appointment at The Experience salon and I have already booked my next haircut. Highly recommend.

Nina Zerbo Toby, Brenda and the entire team at the Experience Salon are who you should be calling for current trends and technical superiority. I drive from downtown Seattle up to Mount Vernon just to have Toby do my hair and I have been going to him for the past 8 years...and I have no intention to go anywhere else. Toby takes great pride in having highly educated and trained professionals on his team. They look to each other for inspiration and trendsetting. Dont be fooled by the quaint town location. They are doing amazing work at the Experience Salon and would give any Seattle salon a run for their money!

Justin Martin Im not sure whats going on, but no one ever answers the phone. You get a voicemail saying they only take calls Tuesday-Thursday, to leave a message. You do, and no one ever calls you back. I then tried calling back every day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and same deal, right to voicemail and no returned call. Is this place even still in business? I ended up having to cut my own hair. 3 out of 5 stars for my own hair cut, though.

Charles Royal Jerry was very friendly and did a great job. This was my first visit and would recommend it to anyone looking for an old fashioned haircut. Reasonable prices too.

Alex Eby My first time going into Kens Hairstyling was a couple of days ago, and they did a great job! Saturdays are walk-in days and even with a couple people ahead of me the wait wasnt too bad. Jerry did a wonderful job cutting my hair and I will definitely be back. I would recommend checking them out!

Grace Wydur Chantel did my hair today and I was SHOCKED at how soft and lightweight my hair felt after she was done! We did a full foil and not only was that done amazingly but so is her overall service. She offers you snacks and water, makes sure you’re always comfortable, and really takes her time to make sure that it’s perfect.

He is well known in the valley for providing exceptional haircuts. Highly recommend! And if you dont like your haircut all you have to do is calmly talk to him and hell fix it for you.

J Schae It had been over a year since I’d had my hair cut due to moving away from my previous stylist. I had an appointment with Stephanie at Spero. I am very pleased with how refreshed my hair looks and feels. Stephanie really listened to what I wanted, checked in to make sure it looked right, and took the time to refine everything so it was just so. She was very personable and friendly and I enjoyed chatting with her. The salon itself is impressive and offers a multitude of services. Tamera was lovely and gave me a tour after I’d inquired about some of their other offerings. I’ll definitely be back.

Management horribly managed the key co.ponents of my daughters wedding and told hair/makeup person to not show up at ate venue even though I confirmed with salon day before wedding. Hair/.makeup did not show up at agreed upon time on my daughters most important day. I had to call salon and ask staff to please get to venue site so the bride could get hair and makeup done. Management will promise you the royal treatment and will take care of everything. Owner never took responsibility and even apologize for what disaster of decisions that owner had made. Do not sign up with this salon if you want to make certain that you have the hair and makeup team to show up on your big day. Totally disappointed with this salons Management.

Kevin Meenaghan I had a great visit to the Spero Salon. I had a mens pedicure and manicure. Stephanie N. was fabulous...great conversation, no pain and I look & feel MUCH better. The salon is a spacious 4,500 square feet and very comfortable. The price was very reasonable (I thought a little low for what I received, actually). I will definitely go back.

Cristal Was very happy with my cut on Sunday when it was nice and styled, until i straightened it today and realized its supper choppy on one side. No wonder it was curled, so it would actually look good. Theres even a part in the back that looks like theres a chunk of hair missing.Now i have to wait to let it grow out so that it can be fixed since I definitely dont want more length cut off.

Jessica Breckenridge Lauren at Trendz is absolutely amazing. She took what I wanted and ran with it. We ended up doing two sessions so I could get exactly what I wanted. My hair is gorgeous, so soft and no damage. Great conversation and well worth ever penny! Highly highly recommend.

BROOKE CRAWFORD I’ve been here before and hadn’t experienced this before. I saw a new girl and when I booked online I knew what I was needing to pay. When my appt was over I was given my amount and it was double the price. All I had was Color placed. I did call the salon back and am waiting to hear something. I was very displeased in this.

Crystal & the staff at Trendz Hair Salon were just so amazing for many reasons! Each of them were caring & sweet even though only Crystal was my stylist. Crystal went out of her way to make me feel safe and comfortable today. She had A-LOT of work ahead of her as my hair is naturally SUPER CURLY. She worked for 7 hours on my hair and I could not be happier. I will be coming back to her & will be recommending her to others, as I have never been happier with a hair service. The balayage was amazing and dimensional. She achieved my wanted outcome for the day. She even gave me a BEAUTIFUL blowout. The salon was clean, friendly, inviting, and comfortable. They offered different beverages & it smelled fantastic in there! Normally 7 hours seems like a long time, but this staff & environment made it so relaxing! Make your appointment asap as I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Melissa Anderson Ive see Debra and Crystal, and they do such fabulous work! Debra has helped me understand my hair and what it needs to look its best, and Crystal gives a killer head massage while washing your hair. Highly recommend them both!!

Rachel S I usually get my hair cut at cheap places since I have a pretty low-maintenance hairstyle, but I thought I’d try a nicer place this time. Awful experience. The worst haircut of my life from Debbie. Went home crying. I have (or did before this haircut) super long, healthy hair. I’ve never colored it and just go in once or twice a year for a trim. I somehow got a terrible mullet-like set of “bangs” in the front and just so choppy, short, and awful in the back. I came back and Charlotte did a better job fixing it, resolving that it will just need to grow back out. But when I tried to express my disappointment in my haircut, she kept reminding me that, “I’m only as good as my canvas”. I even told her at the end, “I don’t think it was my fault she gave me a bad haircut...” and she said, “of course! It’s just my motto that we’re only as good as our canvas.” Never once got an, “I’m so sorry this happened to you”. Just a lecture about how I’m supposed to guide my stylist on how to cut hair. Very low-accountability motto, taking the responsibility off them and onto you. So if you don’t like your haircut it’s because you’re not a good “canvas”. Walked out of there feeling so awful. Waste of $$, going back to great clips.

Cherry Daniels I was able to get an appointment for a partial foil pretty quick. Went in and Brandy did an amazing job! The pink was perfect. I also wanted a cut and she had time for that as well. It was great cause Im trying to grow out my hair and she didnt chop a bunch off like most people do. I will be coming back for my refresher soon. Great atmosphere, clean and friendly.

Shirley Schwab Worse haircut ever!! My hair was 5" on top, told her shape it, to take off less than 1/2 inch, I now have a spot on the crown of my head that is only 1 inch long!! its like a 3 year got hold of a pair of scissors and cut my hair. The left side of my head is about 3" long the left side is only 1 1/2" long. This is not a hair salon, its a butcher shop!!!

Kai Birchler I normally go to a different place to get my haircut, but they couldnt get me in for the next week. I decided to try Supercut on a whim, got in within 25 minutes and got matched with Dianna. She was wonderful, made sure to explain to me how the style I showed would have to be changed to work with my hair. Usually the stylists at my other place do a cut and I walk out with a completely different cut than I asked and have to fix at home. This time, Dianna did it exactly how I asked. She took her time to make sure it looked good and was even! 10/10!!!

Ches C We went in on Saturday for a cut.. I wish I got a different stylist, the lady I got was not nice from the get go. Just didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. Tried small talk and that didn’t work out much.. I told her I wanted the long wolf cut, mind you I tried showing her what I wanted and she just didn’t care to look at the picture. My hair WAS long, like to my behind long and I wanted to keep that length, she asked me where I wanted the first layer and I told her my cheek bone (I don’t know I’ve never had this cut before) she said “are you sure?” which made me second guess and I skeptically said yes.. instead of giving me advice, knowing I wanted to keep my length she went ahead started razor blading it all off while constantly saying “are you sure?”... inches and inches going away.. each drop of hair on my lap made me instantly regret my decision on where I wanted the first layer. She was not making me feel confident and made my experience entirely overwhelming and I wanted to cry. I’m a non confrontational person so I walked away with 6-10 INCHES of my length gone. And before anyone says well why didn’t you stop her.. I couldn’t see behind my head until she said “now this is the back” *razor razor* gone.. I was left with pretty much what looked like a manta rays top view (like body and tail) that I was forced to cut off what was left of the length or it would look very weird… The more I mess with it the more it is growing on me I guess.. I’ll have to wait another year for it to grow back but I think I’ll go to another place from now on… I put my trust in the hands of a stranger when she knew I’ve been growing my hair out for two years….
