Kobe JBui Hello everyone, I can truly say that this is one of the best salon in town, their prices are just right. I have tried all 3 techs, they all do a phenomenal job. There are mixed reviews, but I have never had any issues with Star Nails. My advice is to give them a try, if you dont like it, dont come back...but I have been coming here for the past 10 years.

Daleth Pacheco-Del Valle From the moment I walked in the place was really dirty. The chairs they have to sit on while you wait have huge black spots on them from not being cleaned. I came in to get my eyebrows waxed and when I walked into the room, they expected me to lie down on a table that had hairs from previous customers on it. They didn’t have the paper to lie down on like they have at other places I have gone to. They also asked me to wear a head band to keep the hair away from the wax. I asked the lady if it had been sanitized and she said that next time I should bring my own if I’m afraid of using theirs. When it was time to pay, the lady took my card, looked into my eyes and asked, “how much do you want to tip?” The tips are usually a private matter and here they ask you straight up how much you’re going to tip them. Worst place ever. I’m never going back to this place.

Shana Roark Awful place. Very dirty. I have been to nicer places and have been charged less for a full set and pedicure. Not to mention my nail technician was very rude to me when I tried to make small conversation with her. I wanted to leave during the middle of my nails being done. It was also weird she asked me how much I wanted to tip? Just a weird feeling overall.

Cathy Leasure Ive been going here for over 4 years. Helen and Lynn are the best!! The quality is amazing, my nails dont break or crack, even if I wait to long lol, and not overly thick. They are not over priced and very efficient!! I recently moved to Puyallup and will continue to make the drive because the quality cant be beat elsewhere!

Jeanineitsme I had a great experience! My nail tech, Helen, was so sweet and attentive and I was very happy with the attention she paid to my nails. She took her time and never made me feel rushed. Ive had many compliments on my nails and I tell everyone where i got them done. Im driving 2 towns over to go here, and I plan on continuing to do so! ❤

B This place is amazing, Im new to the area and this is my new home nail shop!!! Great service fixed my bad set from another shop and great hot stone pedicure for $25 soooooo with it!!!!I actually really like the fact the gal that did my pedicure wore gloves!!! Cleanliness and hygiene and important to me!!! And they line their pedicure bowls with disposable liners, totally hygienic!!! Call ahead so you dont have to wait!!

Teshaida Hammer I had an appointment for acrylic set only and it still took 2 hrs.. after all that time I was expecting perfection, nope, they left a noticeable portion of my cuticle showing.. I assume to make me return for a fill sooner.. the sign says 50 and up. that became 63. do not recommend. will not return

vruh When i sat down the lady started cleaning up my eyebrows, i asked her to make them a little thinner and she seemed bothered and got an attitude. I asked her twice and all she did was cleaned them up. She also took forever to charge me, i couldve just walked out.

nishitha cr This is my go-to parlor for eyebrows and waxing. Every time they do a great job. However, this time eyebrows was good but waxing was a disaster. I do not have sensitive skin and have been doing waxing for more than 15 years and this is the first time I left the parlor with scars on my skin. It was totally painful. The reason behind this is that the management has changed the waxing sheets from white to brown paper. And those brown papers does a horrible job as they are less powerful than the white ones. So they ended up doing multiple times in the same place to take off the hair which was not coming off easily as it would in the white paper. I generally don’t write reviews but I just wanted the people to know about it as my entire skin has turned red in color with lot of scars and have an upcoming trip which is just spoiling it.

Annabella Tantzen I put off going back to school for 5 years, and it was incredibly tough for me to go back. The wait was well worth it to be in Gabis class. Gabi is so sweet and energetic and really puts all of her heart into teaching us everything and more. She has helped me feel comfortable, confident, and proud of my work, and no teacher has ever done that for me. She makes me want to come to school each day. Thank you, Gabi, you are amazing!

Susan A. I was very impressed with the Paul Mitchell Academy in Federal Way. As soon as I walked through the door I noticed how clean and organized the place is. I was acknowledged and received help with signing in by a friendly person. I was introduced to my stylist, Miley and we walked to her station. She listened to what I had in mind for highlights and Abbey (her instructor) introduced herself and we all went over what I wanted. Even tho I had signed up to have a full head of highlights done, it was explained that because I had booked my appt. online for 12:45, there wouldn’t be enough time. So we all agreed that a partial would be a better idea. What I appreciated was that they both were straightforward so I didn’t have any unrealistic expectations. Miley did a beautiful job. She took her time to get it right. And Abbey was always available and came over to oversee how she was doing. Abbey had a lot of great tips and Miley took Abbeys suggestions in a positive light. The results were above and beyond my expectations and look forward to going back again after the New Year. I have been to Paul Mitchell Academy’s in CA, ID and now WA. I highly recommend you checking out their services.

Sheila Ann This is the only place I will go for pedi’s. Every time I’ve gone anywhere else I end up with ingrown toe nails. They do an excellent job here, my feet look beautiful and don’t hurt, Revision 3/1/2024, since Covid I have been going closer to home to get my pedicures. I was very pleased to come back here and have my nails thoroughly cleaned, cuticles trimmed at nails perfectly shaped and polished. I do not understand the negative reviews. The places I have gone to locally have not cut my nail cuticles, They were a mess, lesson learned the drive is worth it.

M Graham Walk in,and I appreciate how quick I was seated, requested mani pedi. The quality of this place has gone down, dirty chairs and table, needs a good cleaning. A horrible job on feet, misshapen and cut way too short and painful, no time giving to the removal of calluses or foot massage. The mani was a little better, shape good but gave a 15 second hand massage. Not worth the price. I hope it changes. I think I will try going to a spot that does Russian mani pedi.

everlyn velasquez I called in ahead of time to ask how much do they charge for underarm wax & they said $15 or $20 if it’s a lot. I walked in and after waxing my underarm they charged me $29. I asked why? She said because it was a lot. Even though they had said $20 then she said she added the tip on there!! What the hell I didn’t know you could tip yourself! STAY AWAY FROM HERE!! On top of that they burned my armpit !

Callie Clark Okay so think about the worst nail place ever…and then times that by one thousand. I had been to this place before and my nails chipped immediately. This time I was completely desperate, I was going on vacation the next day and the other Milton nail places all had a long wait. So anyways I go there, the lady is rude and does a terrible job on my nails. It’s day 5 and the shellac is already chipped. If you go to this place it’s literally just throwing your money away!

Meagan Kowalski Ive been going here for about a year and they are the sweetest people. Every person who has done my nails has done a very very very good job. They take their time to make sure that they are perfect. I work in retail so Im hard on my hands and my nails still last a long time. The salon is really clean and they use brand new files & bands when doing your nails. I love them and I always tell my coworkers about them when they ask to see my nails

Mary Cortez Cosmetically the place looks beautiful. I recently had a fire in my apartment and I went in to get my acrylics taken off which by the way were already cut all the way down and three of them were already completely off. I also needed a pedi. Instead of taking the time to do each individually they had me Twisted in a chair as they were doing my pedi they had me twisted like a pretzel doing my nails at the same time. They charged me $45 FOR TAKING ACRYLICS OFF! Again there was hardly anything to take off. When I asked at the register she said well it was a manicure. It was not. I wasnt comfortable they didnt massage my hands they didnt do anything close to a manicure. I thought I would try them out I would never go back. They gave me 20% off because of their grand opening but what they do is they charge you ridiculous amounts for services so they still make money. I gave them a tip before I went to the register. Even though I was so uncomfortable. Just for their time. I should have just let them split the $30 that they charged me for nothing. They could have gotten their tip there. Im very disappointed I will never go back and I will never recommend them to anyone. Buyer beware. I dont mind paying high prices for the services rendered they did nothing close to a manicure. Awful! I am more stressed and sore than when I went in. Ive attached the photos of my fingernails. I paid $45 for this. Like I said I dont mind paying for a service. But this was ridiculous. Never again. I noticed that anybody that doesnt give a good review they dont reply to. They only reply to the good reviews thats who they care about. How sad. It wont be long. More people will be disappointed. Im especially upset since when I came in I explained that I had just lost everything in a fire and that was why I wasnt getting my acrylics done but that I would be back. I wont be back here thats for sure. Zero Stars if I could.

Rebecca Ramshaw 10/10 recommend! I get the eyelash lift and tint which I love because I don’t have time to do my makeup every day. This lasts about 4-5 weeks before needing a touch up. I’ve previously gotten eyebrow tint and lamination as well. The work always comes out flawless! The studio is clean and very professional!

I was a little nervous because it was my first time getting a lash lift, but Hyunas professionalism and superb skills put me at ease, and I absolutely love how it turned out. Jasvir Ghuman I got my eye lashes extensions and they were super good looking. I think this is the best place Ive gotten mine done by far. Rekha helped me out with it, she was very nice. I will definitely be coming back next time.

Mystique Vaughn She doesnt wash her hands before doing my lashes and she just got done throwing somebodys eye lashes. She used tape under and over my eye. And the next day a piece of my lash came off. She had a baby crawling around everywhere getting into stuff. I was so shocked. Place was super ghetto

Abiyu Tamirat Im really disappointed with the service Henna Beauty Salon. I brought my wife for our special occasion to get her hands and feet done, but it was bad. The lady working there didnt take our requests seriously and was pretty rude. We ended up paying $70, but the quality of the work was more like a $20 work. The henna on her hands and feet was uneven, which really ruined the whole experience for us. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

Nurzat Alimbabaeva I visited the salon with my friend just to accompany her and wait. Even though I wasn’t a client, the staff was incredibly polite, respectful, and very attentive. They offered me coffee with dessert, which was such a nice touch—and the coffee was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere in the salon is fantastic: it’s beautiful, cozy, and very clean. I also want to give a special mention to the girl who helped us—I think her name is Nastya. She’s such a sweetheart! She treated us with so much care and kindness that it made me want to come back again. Thank you for creating such a wonderful atmosphere and providing excellent service!

Оля Ханейчук Recently visited the Beauty spot This is one of the best salons in Washington As soon as I entered the, I was happily greeted by the administrators and offered coffee A couple of minutes later the master took me to do a manicure, I just liked how everything was arranged, a hanger for a bag, a stand for a phone, a foot massage and gel pads under the eyes, service 10/10. The master did everything to make me comfortable. When she finished her work, I was amazed at how beautiful my nails were. This salon is not only engaged in nail extensions, but also much more, you can go to the page and check everything you need. I want to note that the salon has a lot of cosmetics for skin, hair, face. Jennifer Loynd My first visit to Beauty Spot was fantastic. The space is bright and pretty. The staff is kind and attentive. I loved the ambiance and the calming but upbeat music they picked. And the Russian Manicure I had was excellent! Already booked my next visit.

Ally Kondratyev I saw Oksana for a facial and absolutely loved it!! She was so knowledgeable and educated me on my skin while also customizing the steps of my facial on what my skin needed that day. I didn’t break out after my facial which was awesome since I have broken out before from others. Will definitely be back to see her! The salon was also very beautiful and welcoming and I would recommend this to others as well!

Gabrielle Phillips-Waller My first time coming here I got a cute white French tip my nail tech let me know before hand what the price is and there’s a check in so you can gain rewards I told her I was going on a trip out of country for two weeks & THEY LASTED 4 weeks ! I’ve never had that strong of nails and I’m guilty of being a nervous picker on my nail beds . I went back today and got a fill with Dan he is the best noticed the growth from last time took great care of me and gave me the cutest decoration & artwork on this fill & only $70 !! Amazing nails - wonderful staff ✨

Mele Vehikite Bella did an amazing job! Such a sweet soul to have a conversation with! She was also super fast. I came into the shop not realizing they were closing soon, and she took me in right away and even stayed an hr later just to get me in.

Reann braunschweig $125 on a pedicure and dip powder manicure to treat myself for my birthday (this included a $20 tip). Pros: very friendly staff, salon was clean and professional, the woman who did my pedicure was very thorough. Cons: only 6/10 of finger nails are the same shape. Finger nails were buffed too thin in the middle of the nail which caused a “curved up” look. Multiple finger nail tips are not glued down and are not completely covered in dip powder on the sides. I Was rushed out of the chair before my toes could dry so some polish was wiped off when the woman put my shoes back on. See photos. Disappointed… honestly would like a refund for my hands and to have my toes repainted where polish is missing.

Veggyhead1 Amazing service every time! Every time I come in with a design request the deliver! This time Kim was able to do my nails exactly how I wanted and I am very happy with them! The pedicure I got with a stone massage was super relaxing and one of my favorite services. Very accommodating to walk ins as well. Universal nails is one of my favorite nail salons in the area.

Deanna Green I love Universal Nails! I’ve been going to this salon for years for my manicures and pedicures! Whether I’m getting a gel or dip powder manicure, they’re always consistently great! I used to go to salons where only one or two of the technicians were consistent, but you don’t have to worry about that here! I’m a neutral girl as you can tell from my pictures, but I love their color selection as well. The salon is sanitary and well maintained. They’re all so nice! The owners are very attentive to all customers; Kim is so kind! Definitely recommend visiting this salon!

Yuleiny Oviol Ceci is an incredible artist, any design improves, she has a human quality like no other and she is witty, she has everything you can expect from a service and more! My nails always look beautiful, they are durable and the cuticle cleaning goes without saying. I recommend it for $1000

Madeline Jagger Ive been disappointed in the quality the past few times. My dip nails two months ago were not done right. The gal actually said it would look better if they were longer. I think maybe she was new but I really was put off the wrong way by that. Im like I come to get gorgeous shorter nails and have to keep them short thats why i get them done. I left questioning if they looked good and for sure felt some deceit going on. The quality did not match the price. The last time I thought OK Ill try gel maybe I just need a dip break.... but those were coming off within two days and not the quality Ive been used to. I also realized she charged me $45 for gel when it actually felt more like regular polish once I started taking it off. Also on capitol hill the gals there were very fast with quality still. Might need to find a new place. Although Im not sure if its the shop or the customers that go there making it this way. Everytime I also hear someone arguing about the price to get it down. One customer tried using the language barrier as her bartering tool trying to say no thats not what the other girl said on price. Then another lady was like well I get it normally for a lower price. Then shes like going back and forth negotiator style and Im like I cant even with all this. Wheres set prices explained before you start. So annoying.

Navaya Gayles Everyone there was so nice and the place is beautiful! The women who did my nails was very precise in what she was doing and constantly asked if she was doing what I wanted without pain and my reply each time was “it’s perfect”. She was even nice enough to help me move my stuff when my nails were wet. Overall very happy with how everything turned out❤️

The stations are spacious, clean, and well-organized, comfortable, and modern space for clients. The spa-like experience made us feel like we was getting pampered at a luxury retreat. Diana Bidna Irina’s nail work is a true masterpiece, I have been working with her for over 5 years. True professional with the best possible, results every time! She truly cares about her clients by using best materials, always creating comfortable space, and addressing all the needs/wants. After I started working with her I never went to any other nails specialist EVER again, once you try something that good you will never want to waste your time and money on anyone else’s work!

I met Irina about 3 years ago, when I moved to OR and was looking for a good nail tech. Despite the drive to WA, for the passed 3 years, never have I regret it. She really gives you quite the experience. I highly highly recommend. You will not regret.

Silvia Robles These are the nails I asked for vs the ones I got I did ask for them to be shorter but I did not expect everything else I should have read the reviews I did not want the color I asked for a more nude color I got bubblegum pink and the lady was looking at the picture I showed I did not like the flower and she did not fill in the whole glitter into the nail she left space even after she saw they cost me 80$ will not Be coming back here ever again I the lady asked if I liked them I couldn’t say I didn’t but I absolutely hate them do not come here if u want these type of nails I can’t write how mad I am 80$!! It was even bumpy

Venita Chandra I used to come here for 10 years They have a new owner and the new employees are the worst nail techs I ever had service provided from. After receiving a pedicure the lady did not wash my feet in clean water. Than she arguing with me that she did and the other nail tech said she washed my feet. I was very dissapointed with the pedicure she cut the inside of my skin of my toe and it hurts to touch and didnt hardly file my nails. Its all crooked. I just couldnt wait to get out of there Than they kept asking for a tip. I will never go back again. Worst place

Glennalynn Muna Honestly the worst place I’ve been to. The lady rushed my nails. I had nail polish all over my fingers. 3 of the nails were super crooked. I told her about them she said they were okay. While paying she asked why I didn’t tip. Like seriously? I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Rhema Eagles I was a walk in appointment which was good they could take me but the young lady that did my nails was slow and not very professional and I asked for square and got a semi flat curves and nails were not buffed well.

Jessika Nanquilada Lynn and her staff took great care of me! They did my nails exactly as I asked and went above and beyond to have me happy and out in a timely manner. Prices are great also! Highly recommend!

KiALaNi Thumbs up to Lee and Lynn for servicing me VERY last minute. They are kind friendly and know their customers by name. I did not feel rushed even though I overheard that Lee has not even taken her lunch!!! Manicured Shellac was decent...the manicure was well done... the polish has a few bubbles and needs more attention/time but is wearable under the circumstances. Plus their hospitality makes up for it. Pedicure was well done. Lynn saw some polish on my skin and not only fixed it but added another coat and top coat to fill in some of the color. Overall they provided great service with a decent quality end product, attention to detail with sincere ability to listen to what the customer wants. They have been in business for 17 years and it shows through their exceptional service.

Susan Martin I don’t get manicure all the time but after I got Russian manicure, I am hooked! You can wear it up to 4 weeks and it never breaks nor cracks! Natalie is very professional, she’s good at what she does!
