She didn’t know what she was doing gel all over my hand her hands. In the background they are talking in their language. Bottom line i paid $75 for a terrible gelX experience.

P A ***Update 5/29 - Owner of the salon reached out and offered to redo my nails, major PROPS to him for trying to make it right and owning this review! I’ll give it to him for running an ethical and respectable business when customers provide less than stellar reviews/concerns!!! Thank you! Upped my review from 2* to 3*!*** Nail tech I had was mediocre at best. Asked 3x for oval shaped nails, she still shaped them square. Shellac doesn’t even reach the edges or near my cuticles and when I asked to fix it, she just shook her head in acknowledgment but didn’t fix it, so essentially I’ll need a fill in 2-weeks or less vs normally getting by every 3-weeks. I opted for a matte top coat, had to have her fix it on a couple fingers where the edges were still shiny, not matte. Her quality of work/attention to detail is seriously lacking. Not sure if her eyesight was poor or didn’t quite understand, English isn’t her native language. Ombré of 2-different colors wasn’t an option. Definitely didn’t feel welcomed by her, but the receptionist Crystal was outstanding…the hospitality stopped there. The customer next to me was engaging and sweet, they could’ve taken some tips from her. As a new client, you’d think the staff would want to get to know you, especially since I was the only customer in the salon at 3pm, on a Wednesday afternoon, for an hour…loss opportunity of a potential new regular clientele. Total was $72+$10 tip for a gel fill and 6-finger unique design, forget hybrid gel. Nail art was not her strength, nor did anyone else offer to help/do it for her or her asking for help. By the time she was on the second finger design, I gave up and just settled to get out of there. I have an appt with my daughter for a spa pedi on Monday, 6/3, reconsidering and going elsewhere. Was in search of a new nail tech that can do unique designs, quality work and I’m willing to pay for it ($140+$30 tip for a fill regularly, but was hoping for something more conveniently located near home, guess I’m headed back to downtown Bellevue) when the work is well done and in an establishment that was welcoming. Nelson Meissner I have been going to Paulines for awhile. I always have good service and I think they do a good job on the basic mani/pedi. Just a couple things to be aware of. You cannot get anything in writing regarding prices. It is not posted and they cannot show you anything. I recently asked and was told I needed to "ask Pauline"...but she was busy....and always ask up front when making an appointment what the price is because if you just call and say that you want to make an appointment for a pedicure they will make the assumption that you want their most expensive service. I have forgotten to say "basic pedicure" and I ended up paying for the most expensive "spa" experience.

Elizabeth Evelyn Guidos MY NAILS CAME OFF THE DAY AFTER. Staff was polite but rushing themselves. I’d never go back and spend $100+ on these nails had i known 3 nails would break the day after. I searched a video of the proper way to do silk nails, they are not doing them correctly. Save yourself the money!

Elena Hlavaty-Laposa I came the first time for a pedicure. It was nice and relaxing. The second time I came I asked to get my nails done and provided with a picture for exactly what I wanted. I was told that they can do it The inspo picture had flowers in it on two fingers. My nails were finished and they didn’t look anything like the w picture. The flowers were specifically told needed to be blue but the nail tech lady said no it looks better white. I was very disappointed that I paid $50 for something that they said they can do and couldn’t. Update: 3 days after my nails were done. They are bubbling up and a lot of texture is showing up from when my nails were filed. If you are particular about your nails, you will not be happy about this place.

Jasmine My go-to place to get my nails done! They go above and beyond to make you feel relaxed (ie. complimentary tea and biscuits). I almost fell asleep with the foot massage and lovely scents that came with the pedicure. The gel polish lasts a long time too! Highly recommend!

Brenda Harjala My first time at Pauline’s and definitely won’t be the last! Lovely ambience, amenities, and care. Very calm environment even though it was very busy. It did not feel like any nail salon I’ve ever been to - no long line and crowded door of folks trying to get a chair, but small rooms and privacy. It’s a whole vibe in there! From the smell of the incense, to the tea soak and rose petals, to the complementary tea and wafer cookies, it was hands-down my best pedicure before even commenting on the pedicure. As someone with sensitive feet, the tech was cognizant of that and didn’t over do it with the scrubbing, but gave a lovely and firm massage on my legs and feet. But the quality of the polishing is better than my favorite person at Sola (you know her!). With my round and weird nails, I often have unpolished edges and sides, and uneven coverage. This is pretty flawless, and I’ve been a regular at Lovely Nails and Sola for years. The mood was lovely, peaceful, even with some pretty lively customers that all seemed to be regulars and knew each other. I loved it! I expected to pay a bit more than other places, and I did. But with the different products, the special soak that appears to be standard… rather than upcharge for a deluxe, they seem to put a lot of those extras in the standard pedicure for about $55. Totally reasonable for the experience and quality of service!

Tanya Varela I have tried all the salons in Renton. This is by far the best quality and service . The prices are competitive and worth every cent. The owner Haley and her staff are sweet and professional. I got a manicure 4 days ago and it looks fresh as the first day. I take my father once a month now and they treat him like a king and make him feel special. I also get my lashes done (but that’s my beauty secret, so no photos, haha). I will say Haley is a perfectionist and in this line of work that quality is gold, and I don’t skimp. Give Haven a try you won’t regret.

LC Amazing experience!! I used to come here as haven nails from time to time and was surprised to see it is now Golden Beauty Bar! Love the updated wax room…. The services from Tracy and Kim were great! Such a luxury and relaxing time. The new owners were so nice and has a welcoming environment. I was also surprised that they have seasonal pedicures so I opted for the winter package which included a complimentary drink,steam, paraffin, and was pepperminty:) they added during the fall they had a pumpkin as well. I’ve been taking a break from coming to salons but this seems worth the price! Will be coming back The photo I added is for the golden manicure definitely recommended for a little extra TLC for the hands

Lusciously Doinme Be Aware: I honestly wouldnt recommend. You dont leave with the rediculously over priced nails and service you paid for!! Only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the nail tech was nice and its more so whoever owns it/makes the prices, than her fault. Otherwise, I left a bit unsatisfied and without way more money than expected. They dont have any signage for pricing/offered services. Which I get why because they are overly priced. Had I known it was different owners and basically a totally different nail salon than before I would not have gone or stayed. I paid $135 plus tip for a pedicure and gel full set. Didnt get all the services that was apart of the pedicure. Lady told me my toes was dry and I was good to put my shoes on. Which they should have been due to me getting nails done after the subpar pedicure. Got home and my toes were messed up day one. Then EVERY style or color I wanted I was told would be $5-$15 more on top of the price listed above. I am highly taken aback and a bit unhappy. I feel taken advantage and kind of robbed to be honest. My nails are so thick underneath. The only thing I like about them is the shape. Summary: Paid too much, left with chipped toes the same day 10 min later, not the full pedicure (no hot stone massage) no foot or leg massage just rubbing of lotions and salt on them but should have been included. Basic gel nails was $70. No designs, no thrills. Thats extra money if you want even less nail polish being used. I am a simple person I never get jewels or over the top nails so what I wanted could have easily been done with gel polish and at the same price but I was denied due to not being willing to pay more. Just find a different salon would be your best bet.

t d I had a wonderful experience at Golden Beauty Bar. The establishment is both pleasant and clean. Haley did my nails, and she is thorough at her work. I have followed her from Kent to this location. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a touch of luxury time.

Wes Feighner This is fun house to visit during October and December. They decorate the house and yard for the season and have the lights synced to music. If you feel so inclined you can bring canned food for a food drive. The owners are really nice and a pleasure to speak with. Go when it is dusk to dark to get the full effect of the decorations.

During my appointment, the staff engaged in loud conversations in their language, making jokes at the expense of customers, including myself and my mother (thanks to translator apps). This behavior was not only unprofessional but also discriminatory and made us feel incredibly uncomfortable and disrespected. As a healthcare professional, I understand the importance of respect and inclusivity, qualities that were sorely lacking in this establishment. I had hoped to be a repeat customer, but the disrespectful atmosphere and lack of professionalism make it clear that this salon is not worth visiting. My hope is that this review serves as a warning to others seeking a welcoming and respectful environment or inform the owners that they will lose customers if this approach continues.

China Jones Shaping inconsistent from one hand to other. Lady who did my pedicure used the scraper on my bone dry feet didn’t let them soak at all frfr. For $70 I expected a better experience! Then I’m so tired of these salons charging $15 extra for gel polish! You’re not using builder gel to do my nails! So stop charging like you are. This was my second time at this establishment and totally disappointed! Won’t be back!

Crystal I have been coming here for years. This place does an amazing job on nails and toes. The best pedicures that are not rushed and nice massages and details to any ingrowns you may have.the pedicures are actually 45-hr and include everything from wax to hotstone and towel and that’s the basic one. They also offer deluxe pedicures with longer massages and products. I highly recommended coming here if you want your nails and toes to last and have good experience. All of the employees are super nice and I have a great time laughing and enjoying myself. Great prices as well. Usually cost about $90-100 for pedicure and full set. Price vary on length and designs. The prices here are better than others for a way better experience with great quality. Please make sure to check them out and don’t forget to tip.

Since I’ve been coming here, another one of my favorites is whatever he does he does something special so my nails do not lift after a few days I can go four weeks without having to get my nails filled!

Shaylyn Karan Called in to make 2 appointments for gel manicures. Came in and was seated immediately. I chose a color while my nails were started. A little while later I was told the color was out of stock. It was slightly annoying having to scramble and find a similar color which I was told wasn’t available as a polish only dip. I told her she could get started with the second person since they knew what color they wanted. The tech then said she would mix a color to get it close to what I originally wanted but ended up just painting on a translucent pink when I initially wanted a solid light pink. I felt rushed and it was a bit annoying dealing with the color changes but service was okay. I would recommend going through inventory and removing the colors no longer in stock or at least not rushing people when they need to choose another color especially when the salon wasn’t that busy. After 2 days my nails have already started to chip. Will probably not be back.

The technician who did my nails was rough, rushed, and did not seem skilled. The manicure was uneven, and within a day, my polish started chipping. The salon itself felt unclean, and the tools didn’t seem properly sanitized, which made me really uncomfortable. Overall, it was a waste of money, and I definitely won’t be coming back.”

Aramayis Harandi My sister and I purchased the Groupon deals offered by this salon - A full set acrylic and pedicure for myself and a mani-pedi for her. We were vacationing in Seattle and were super excited to see that this salon offered a great price for these services on Groupon, however we quickly realized that you get what you pay for. It was clear that the nail tech that worked on my nails - seemed to be the owner - didn’t have any intention on taking her time with them to make sure they turned out well. The nails on one of my hands were clearly longer than the other and I had to vocalize that before she made them the same length - I’ve never had any other nail tech not measure each finger side by side to make sure they’re all the same length for both hands. The acrylic was also not smoothed down so the gel polish on my nails looks bumpy and uneven. This was clearly noticeable and my nail tech let me walk out of the salon with no attempt to fix them. As for our pedicures, they were done pretty well and our pedicurist (a different employee) was attentive to detail and took her time to make sure they turned out good. Beware of visiting this salon to get acrylic nails done. The Groupon deal might seem great but that comes at a price.

Joleen Williams I got a pedicure foot detox. They put a machine in the water and let your feet soak for 30 minutes. It was awesome! I will definitely be going back. You can get a foot detox without getting everything done.

What is usually a $40 appointment was $87. That seemed excessive. But they are very skilled at their craft! They deserve the payment it just caught me off guard.

weeding song Dissipointed, once again. Its been about 5 yrs since I last came back .Just thought Id give them another try. Nope. Never coming back. My whole" very expensive " service was not even 40min long. No massage, cold water from the get go. I brought 2 friends and one didnt even get service until my nails were getting painted, though I had made appointments for all 3 of us. So disappointed. Was supposed to be a treat for us and to be honest Im embarrassed that I invited my guests here. Right now as I write this my server is melting the professional gel polish that I provided from my own salon (I have a license in cosmetology) on my nail. This was over priced. The spot is beautiful inside but not at all worth it. And she filed my nails after the gel polish was all set.

Ali Gee I absolutely LOVE every visit to Comfort Nails! I’m always happy with how my nails turn out and all the ladies do such a great job! The last few times I’ve had hand-drawn designs on my nails and they are always so pretty!! Definitely recommend!!

Their gel pedicure is terrific, they pay meticulous attention to their work. My feet always feel refreshed. Will continue to give them my business.

Leyna Nguyen I went there yesterday, and only me , no rush - I even didn’t talk so she could focus on it , less than 24 hrs , I have hang nails, color on all nails uneven. Second time there and for sure I will not come back. And if you pay by card ( even debit ), they will charge $1.00 fee on top doesn’t matter what, there was no sign or note about that- just verbal infor when you pay. It made me feel like be forced to use another method for my payment.

Elina Mitchell The girls here are always great. Ive been coming here for a little over a year now and dont like going anywhere else. This is the only salon I have gone to that doesnt cause lifting nails early. I do not recommend going on sat as the wait can be crazy and they can rush. Danisha Harris Nails are horrible, it took the lady two hours to do this. A simple full set and my nails are lumpy, all type of shapes. There is acrylic all under my nails and she couldnt even paint them nicely like come on. I have never had my nails look this bad, EVER. Im a person who ignores reviews usually because I get simple nails so I usually have no issues. But I should have NEVER come here. Dont do it, youll regret it. If I could give negative stars, I would. Because I dont even know how these people have a shop when they cant even paint nails without bubbles.

sm ms very pricey. staff memeber seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing. customer service was not great. nail file was turned all the way up to where it was hurting. she nicked me multiple times causing my fingers to bleed. wasn’t not satisfied at all.

Jeanny Jackson My experience at a particular nail salon was extremely unsatisfactory. The technicians removal of my fake nails was not only painful but also performed with a lack of care. Their unprofessional behavior, including speaking in Vietnamese, was unappreciated. The owner, who provided my nail service, did not take the time necessary to ensure a satisfactory result. The work was unprofessional, heavy-handed, and lacking in quality. Despite my concerns regarding the unevenness of my nails, the issue remains unresolved. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service and strongly believe that the salon requires significant improvement.

NyJarae Jackson lemme tell yall, first when we got there it was all cool, i showed her the picture & she said she got it but as she started my nails she just started rushing, when it came to shaping n sizing she didn’t check to make she my nails where the same size she just sniped & moved on. my full set only took 45 minutes & then charged 80 & kinda forced a tip from us. 2 weeks later my toe nail polished was chipping & took my layers from my natural nail. i do NOT recommend here & hollywood nails.. COUNT YOUR DAYS

Sonia Sohal Regret coming to this place. It’s cheap and dirty, service is mediocre. They rush through you trying to get to the next person. I mean might as well throw my money in the trash. I went in for a fill and left with horrible looking nails. Not clean, sharp edges even after I asked to round them off, not buffed for a smooth finish and cuticles are left dusty. Older lady was rushing me, I didn’t even want to ask her to fix anything. I mean this should be the least they can do. At least make the nail look presentable. I could have said something, but when you’re flying out of your chair trying to get me out, I doubt you will make it better.

During my appointment, the nail technician applied the product incorrectly on one of my fingers, and when I asked her to fix it, she dismissed my concern. Instead of offering a solution, she told me to go to a different spa if I didnt like it. This lack of professionalism and unwillingness to correct mistakes left me feeling very frustrated. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for attentive and respectful service."

Vaesen Pastry The wonderful people at My Nail Spa were amazing. They were extremely friendly and so nice. I have never had a better visit, and I have never had a time where I didnt get hurt while getting my nails done. They did custom nails for me, and it was so beautifully done. It was me and my friends friend-aversary, and so we got manicures and pedicures. It was amazing. I highly recommend this place!!! Note: NEW UPDATE 2022, I brought my manager, and she Loves this place.

Jamie Lee Been in the spa industry 20 years, I come here for the great service from Nancy and clean salon and implements. Very conveniently located, always find parking on the side of building. I enjoy the paraffin pedicures here, hot stone foot massage, and color selection.

Sorya Karimi Very unprofessional behaviour and unprofessional work. First we I went, there was a guy, he behaved me in very rude way. I asked if the nail worker draw a little star in one of my nails, he asked me for 10$ more, I told him why you charged this much a little work, he told me that we have enough customers we do not need you to come in our salon or not, than he behaved in very very bad way! I just was about to cry! At the end this their work! They ruined my nails, their work are not clean, they are very unprofessional, never go there and I won’t too!

Mary Booth Terrible experience. In what world are these square crooked Barbie pink nails I left with the same as the photo she looked at for two and a half hours that I tried to kindly correct multiple times. By the end she was just laughing and saying no it’s fine. When I asked her to change things. Completely unacceptable. I don’t think I have ever left a review before but it can be so frustrating to leave with the wrong thing so don’t go here.

LanaMarie Hauschild I would not name this place “Honest”. Went in for a fill, & they asked “how much did you spend last time?”. I said I don’t remember, then charged me $80! For THICK streaky basic fill. They’re not honest with pricing. A new set doesn’t even cost that much. Such a shame, been coming here for years but now I’ll never go again. Expect to pay more than you anticipate

Polish coming off after five days and definatly was not capable of doing a ombre set . Took advantage of someone that was visually impaired attached is picture of what was to be performed and what was received dont go to either location most likely will get same quality of work

Nelya N If I could leave negative stats I would leave -10. Never come here at end of day, and quite frankly probably just don’t come here. Asked for dip manicure and my mom did manicure shellac. They were done with her entire process within 20 minutes and her color had bumps, infilled spots and uneven layering. My 5 year old niece would have done a better job coloring in the lines. Staff was rude, sat around looking and laughing completely unprofessional. I have never been to such a salon before I felt like I was in middle school. For my dip, I chose a blue color, she totally screwed it up and the blue had a bunch of white dots in it. When I showed it to her, she said it happens, sorry!. I managed to get a 6 dollar discount for the messed up nails nails that I’ll be redoing tomorrow elsewhere. Worst experience ever, do not recommend! Also charged for manicure but there was no manicure.

F. Small shop. They didnt have the color combo I wanted for my nails so I decided to just get a manicure and the manicurist did the bare minimum. I still have some shellac residue, my corners are sharp, and the top of my nails were left rough.

Louise R. Luxury Nails is such a great salon. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Ive been going here for 5ish years now, Khoi is the one that usually does my nails. He does such a perfect job. He is very gentle and detailed. He also has great ideals that match what I like. Love going to this place.

Alexandria Robinson My new favorite nail salon!! This is the cutest my nails have ever been. The prices were very very reasonable and the staff was amazingly friendly. I got a full set acrylic nails and my mom got a pedicure. We had a little bit of a wait because we didn’t make appointments but it was not long at all. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and I will now only go to them when I come into town from Oregon!

june muthee DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! I am extremely disappointed at their work and service. I have come here a total of 3 times and each time with the hopes that they will do better than before. I must admit the second time was not bad so I figured I’ll come back a third time. It’s supposed to be a simple removal of the dip I had and buffing/shining and do a neat manicure so my nails can take a breather. Instead I received an impatient lady who didn’t bother asking what it is I wanted and when I finally asked her before she started applying my “neat polish” she got upset and buffed the living hell out of my skin. All in all, I will not be returning to this establishment. Granted the 2 gentlemen are great but I am not sure what training the ladies have, especially when it comes to what the clients need and expectations.
