Felicia D Doing an experiment and trying out all the salons here in dupont, so far this one would be my 2nd choice, they are open Sundays which was convenient but a little bit of a rushed atmosphere...nails are good....and cleaning could be kept up better.

E Aunger I really like this place! I went all out and they were all for it. She was accommodating to me even though they were really busy. I’ve been here before this visit and they were also awesome. Great price for using 4 colors, $30. Also, they have really cool color changing nail polish as well. However, since they were busy they didn’t do the finishing touches on the nails like the usually do but it’s okay, I can probably do that myself! Anyway, overall great experiences here and I will definitely be coming here regularly.

aisha moody Usually good but this time not. My cousin and I both got pedicures and she got a nail polish change and I got a fill. I MADE a 12 noon appointment to avoid crowdiness. Two people worked on my cousin at the same time. One did the polish change and one did her pedicure while I got my fill which took a total of 20 minutes. Did I mention there was no one in the salon so why the rush. She didn’t even get her feet to soak. I didn’t even get my feet to soak this time either. It was just a rush job and u can tell by my nails. I will go somewhere else to get them polished. I won’t Come here again for a pedicure and I will make an appointment with the person I want specifically for my nails. Nails are normally good but I got a new person.

Emily A This salon did a great job for a reasonable price. I got acrylic nails with gel polish. Kim was fast, but efficient. She asked for feedback about nail shape, length, etc throughout the manicure which i appreciated because at other salons they just rush through it and assume that they did what you wanted - communication is everything. I will be coming back!

Little D My nails came out great! Theyre rated lower but the quality of the look is fantastic compared to what I saw on the other 2 shops in dupont. 4 stars only because the lady I got didnt even try to look for a simple pink clear or offer at least a pink acrylic nor did she talk but its ok they were packed.

Talia Parrish I was so excited to take my mom out for a girls day, I thought Kayla’s was the perfect place to go as I’ve been a costumer in the past, and never had an issue in quality. Well, I was very wrong. Our 3 pm appointment started 30 minutes late, and my moms nails turned out messy, splotchy, and poorly filed. The technicians insensitivity about my skin picking disorder in front of others was embarrassing. For $120, the service was far below expectations. Formerly a fan of Kaylas Nails, the decline in quality is disheartening. A frustrating two hours in the salon resulted in nails I now have to redo myself. Highly disappointed with the overall service and outcome. Additionally, despite my mother expressing concerns about the quality and imperfections multiple times, the nail technician continued with the subpar job not even attempting to fix the issues my mother pointed out to her. Its disheartening that they allowed my mom to leave with nails that were far from satisfactory, showing no remorse for the low-quality service. Excusing the messiness by blaming the dip powder used is unacceptable; investing in better-quality products should be a priority for a reputable salon. The overall experience left much to be desired, and the lack of accountability from the salon is disappointing. I will not be returning.

Myrna Andres I visit this salon for manicures and pedicures, and my stylist, Q, is excellent. However, i recently tried underarm waxing. Their sign says $15, which I found overpriced. Despite this, I went in for the service. But when I paid, I was shocked to be charged $30. Kayla explained that she charges $15 for each underarm, which I found ridiculous

Adrienne Scrappy I cant say enough good things about this place. You can tell these ladies all enjoy working with each other. Everyone was laughing and smiling. Quick service while still being incredibly thorough. Im a finger chewer and you can tell when you go to trim my nails. My tech spent extra time making sure my fingers looked amazing and didnt give me more hang nails than I already have, haha. I will be back many times and would recommend this place to anyone

Parris Wells They were quick, efficient, and kind. My nail tech wasted no time slaying my nails. She made sure i got what i wanted and executed perfectly. It was my first time going there so i was extremely nervous but their extensive website and welcoming shop eased my nerves. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Mai Nguyen I had a good time getting my nails done at this place. I usually get a basic manicure, gel nails, or gel nail removal (see pic with my bare nails). The only time I thought service was "meh" was when I had the color 219 done on my nails (see pic). Service will depends on which technician does yours nails.

Breanna Frizzell I’ve gone to this place 3 times hoping it’d work for me. They don’t know how to do design, but they are very patient and tried to do what I asked, which I’ll give them that. This last time I went they were so harsh on my nails, I had to pull away multiple times. They had the drill going on my nail & cut through my nail. So painful. I’ve NEVER had that happen and I’ve been getting my nails done for years. They were nice & gave me a discount and were very nice to my daughter. But overall not the best nail salon, I’ve never been satisfied with my nails from here.

Jocelyn Aguirre I’m so sad to say I had a horrible experience this last appointment considering my previous ones were so good. I usually only get my toes done but this time I decided to get my nails done too which was a huge mistake. I thought making an appointment would ensure they had time for me and not have to squeeze me in or rush anything, wrong. They rushed the work and kept hurting my skin with their electric nail filers. I’m in so much pain from today’s appointment. My nails are crooked because of how rushed they did the work. Not to mention I did not the design I asked for, not even close. I will add photos to reference what I wanted vs what I got. I will not be coming back:(

Luna If I could give 0 stars, I would. If you are considering going here please read this first. This was easily one of the worst, overpriced nail services I have ever had. I went in with nothing on my nails and asked for overlay with gel. I didnt consider taking a picture, but I should have so you can see how badly they were done. She absolutely butchered my nails. She rushed the entire time, mind you, they werent busy, I was the only one there. There was no shape, just the overlay clumped onto my skin and nails. The gel color was TERRIBLE. All over my skin and not painted on half of the nails. She still had the audacity to charge me $60. I just went to CK Nails to have them fix the hack job this lady did. They were shocked by how bad it was and asked me if I had tried to do them myself. They were so bad the lady who fixed them didnt even charge me for removal of the old overlay. Please please please do not go here! Dont waste your money. CK Nails is 5 minutes away and they do a phenomenal job every time.

Can only speak to my own 2 times walking through door, but there are way better local nail salons that are at least pretending to be happy to see non binary folk.

I dont think this business needs money and customers allow it to do this for no reason. The coating is gel, the manicure is only three days old, but it is already breaking, the polish is uneven

Em V I am never going back here ever again. First of all, I had an appointment set for 5:30, they were busy with walk ins that came right before me and didnt start getting ready for me until 5:45. Thats fine, i understand running behind so that didnt bother me. Another walk in comes in after im checked in for my appointment so the owner stops preparing for me and takes the walk in because “her appointment will be faster”. Now it’s almost 6 PM and my feet are soaking in cold water and im getting uncomfortable. Finally around 6 PM some very young girl who doesnt even look old enough to be licensed starts to work on me… she is very shaky and nervous and you can tell she has no idea what she is doing. She was hurting me trying to “file” my toenails and completely ripping my skin off with this super long file that she doesnt know how to control. And then she starts clipping my toenails, and clips them so short it is painful for me to walk - and im still experiencing pain to this day by the way, this happened a few weeks ago. Anyways, i was super uncomfortable and very politely asked if she could fix the jagged edge on my nail she created that was poking me ( i told her it was feeling like an ingrown when it was not doing that before ) She said she could not and went to grab Lisa. Lisa then very grumpily cleans out my nails the rest of the way while trying to fix the jaggedness, quickly paints them with NO top coat and doesnt even let me dry, just told me i was done and sent me up front to pay. It wasnt even 6:15 yet and they close at 7….there was no one else at this point so they were not busy they were just in a rush to get me out. The owner then had the audacity to charge me full price even tho they royally messed up my feet and caused me a ton of pain that will not go away and no one will touch them with how short the young girl clipped them, I just have to wait it out and hope my nails go back to normal, they kept me waiting for 30 minutes after my appointment time to take walk ins that came in after me, and they did a half done job with painting my nails and only worked maybe 15 minutes on me from start to finish when they didnt even do half the things listed on the menu that is included with the pedicure. I was so polite, and they treated me so awful. I had a poor experience the previous time i went and decided to give them another chance, but now I know it wasnt just a bad day and they are just really a terrible salon and not very nice people. I would not recommend this place to even my worst enemy.

Carissa Lawrence Felt extremely rushed not professional. My nails looks horrible :( I have never had such a bad experience at a nail salon. High prices for the quality that you are getting. We even complained at the end and the manager just shrugged her arms. My nails are already chipping and they look bumpy. My nail polish was still stuck to my skin at the end. Will Never go here again.. If you guys are looking in the area for a nail salon just go around the building there is another nail salon on the other side, I had a much better experience there. Oh and for Covid happening it was very unsanitary. :( very disappointing....

Carina Lewis Really disappointed in my nails. The gel polish is all over my cuticles and not fully curred on the edges and not a smooth polish application. Its going to lift in less than a week. When I asked to have it fixed she just took cuticle nippers to some of the areas and didnt really fix the problem. Ill be filling them around the cuticles as they grow which I should have to do. She just stopped trying at a point and walked away. Will not be returning. My pedicure was good and the lady took her time and did a great job. The only reason for any stars at all. Update: my polish chipped with the first few days and it was supposed to be gel. Another nail salon had to repaint them. While that was happening, they said they did such a bad job there was water that got into the acrylic and was starting to form fungus. They said it looked like they used regular polish and just covered it with gel. Never again.

LOL LOL I called for an appointment but it wasnt necessary as they take walk-ins. Within minutes I was seated and being worked on. Although I only got a pedi (without nail polish) they did an excellent job. My feet are extremely sensitive and she did a very thorough job without causing me any pain or issues. Appreciative

Paula Marcella I would give this place negative stars if I could. Went there today and as my nails were being painted I pointed out that she colored outside the lines. She just smiled like she didnt understand English. After she was done I told her again that they looked horrible. She got a really sharp tool and tried to chip extra polish away .I now have several hang nails and she chipped part of the polish off on the nail itself. I finally told her to stop (Im sure, just before she drew blood). I was still charged full price!!!!! I made sure before I left that it was understood that not only would I not be back, but, I would spread the word to anyone who will listen DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS!!!!! There are plenty of good nail salons in Lakrwood, dont waste your time or money on these hacks.

S L I went here on a whim, hoping to find a better nail salon than the one up the street. Good friendly service from the older lady but not the pedicure service I usually receive from other nail salons. Color choice not so broad, gel manicure not good like the others either. I wouldn’t recommend if you expect the full pedicure service, color choice and the look of gel polish. 5bucks cheaper but I think She caters more to the older generation.

Brittnie Philpot I was getting my gel removed from my toes via drill and it was too high. I asked them to turn it down because it was uncomfortable and they said ok and ignored me. Once I told them that it was getting painful and hot they fussed about it being slower and kept going on about how slow it was now. I told them I’d rather it take longer than hurt and they got more upset. Ended up walking out and not even finishing because im not paying to be in unnecessary pain. Pic for proof.

Melony Rose If you even think about coming here do NOT. First of all super unprofessional. A lady was in the lobby praying on the floor no mat or nothing coughing with no mask on just a mess. The man who does nails is rude and a real disgusting human. Messed up my godmother nail it looked like a kid did it. I asked for a fill and because I asked one question about the color acrylic powder he literally shood me away like a dog and told me to go back to where I got them done. If you want something cheap and at least decent go across the street but do not come here. Thank me later!

L Flanagan Tommy and Kim used to do my nails for years, starting in the early 2000s. I moved away for 9 years and just returned to the area. After 2 disappointing nail jobs in the Lacey and Tacoma area, I suddenly remembered Tommys. So much time passed but they remembered me as if no time passed at all. Tommy redeemed my struggling nails. I couldnt be more happy. I will make the 20 mile trek every two weeks. Beside my nails being gorgeous, they do not overcharge and they are good to their customers. Thanks Tommy & Kim for being so awesome.

Nicole Henderson I have been getting my nails done by Kim for a couple years now and she is the absolute best!!! The quality and durability of the nails she does is amazing. She also waxes my eyebrows and I won’t let anyone else touch them. Tommy does my pedicures and I won’t go anywhere else. This is by far the best nail place!!

Valerie Schmalerie Tommy and Kim are beyond AMAZING!! Ive been a regular since 2007 and absolutely love them. Its the only nail salon Ive been to that the acrylic doesnt lift. And while I usually do pink with white tips (a brighter version of a french manicure) Kim has been finishing my crazy color requests without protest. They are busy, primarily because they have VERY loyal customers like me but I promise you...its worth the wait!! Manicures, pedicures, waxing and more. THIS is my place! And if you have little ones, both Kim & Tommy are great with them!!

Marlissa Bonete They do good work and I like the atmosphere bc it is usually pretty quiet so I tip well when I go there. However, my biggest problem with them is that their practices are less than desirable. While its important to provide good service in a businesses performance, I think its just as important to have moral character and integrity. Unfortunately, they do not. I recently visit their shoppe. I always get the same color on my nails so I told them the number of the color and asked them for the book to confirm bc theyve put the wrong color on me before. The color is a gel with top and polish. I saw that the color was purple looking but very close to the color I usually get so I told the lady to bring the book the book did not match the color so I pointed out the color although it said the same number. So I didnt argue w her but after she put it on when I got in the sunlight I was correct. It was not my usual color but very close except for the purple twinge. Im assuming they were all out of the right color and substituted it with the number label. I was not very happy afterwards but didnt complain. But this is the 2nd time, this has happened. *Also the workers uniforms are never clean no matter what time you go into the shop, so I have to now question their equipment sanitation and tools as well. I figured if they dont take the time to clean their uniforms, then it is highly likely that they are either not properly cleaning those or simply skipping that part to make the money faster. Im going to likely find a new place to go bc Id rather pay and tip service workers who care about their clients more than making money. Health, sanitation practices, and integrity are very critical to caring for yourself as well as your clients for a very successful business.

Lovely Nails are the only ones that did my nails. First nail place didnt carry acrylics nail polish second one told me appointment only third one asked what I need and said can you come back tomorrow instead of telling me theyre busy. I came to Lovely Nails, and it was my next stop on the Google Map. I showed them what I needed, and it took them less than 20 minutes to redo my color. Thank you so much. Ill come back again.

Heather Carter I stopped by for a pedicure without an appointment and was able to get right in. The staff were all very sweet and attentive. they have an impressive selection of gel nail colors, which was great. My feet havent looked this great in months! I will definitely return again.

Anise Stitnizky Walked in picked out my color purse was in the chair was told to let my water out and had to wait and hour, due to others coming in with a “appt” but why seat me if you knew you had appointments! This was all in a 5 min time frame! Stated I took to long picking colors, when he told me to take my time, but what was the difference of 5 mins, would you have stopped in the middle of my service, knowing you had appointments. He never was transparent about incoming appointments and wasted my time. Really bad customer service. Colors are old and separated, with poor selection.

Mo Riah When someone walks in after you, they suddenly rush their work and then expect you to pay to correct it. Looks like a 5 year old painted my nails. Spoke up and said how awful and messy these were, and they sent the same nail tech back to "correct" it.. Definitely wont be coming back. Save yourself a headache and money and go somewhere else...

melody kiernan They took me and my friend in as walk ins with no wait wich was cool but it seemed like they didnt know what shape was what unless you had a picture and one of my points fell off on the 1st freaking day they also grinded my cuticles to were they bled after so yeah definitely not going back. I gave a 2 star because the guy who did my nails at least knew more than the lady doing my friends nails cause she messed up bad they are so crooked.

Anna Cohen Worst set Ive ever gotten. Not one nail was the same length, not one nail bed the same size, several are crooked as hell, and the overlay acrylic started lifting off the nail bed within 12 hours. Id like to say they did well on my toenails but between them being filed into points and then sealed to my skin with excess gel, I just cant.

Desiree Campos Honestly the nail salon I used to go to before was absolutely bad compared to Monstera nails because they take their time to perfect and clean up your nails here. They make them so perfect, they are really nice and patient with you and they even offer you drinks when you first arrive. They aren’t as pricey either, they make me realize I was getting overcharged back at my old salon. Overall great place to get your nails done!

Teresa Anderson First off let me say I would recommend! Today was my first visit and I will be back. I was able to make a same day appointment. I got dip pink with chrome finish. I was greeted with great hospitality and a beverage. Julie was fantastic! She gave me exactly what I wanted. She even did a sample nail so I could see what it would look like, they didn’t already have my combination in their sample. I thought that was above and beyond. I only paid $65 for my nails not including tip.

E J I have to say that the nail tech took her time making sure the shape was on point. The only thing that bothered me is walking in and not seeing any prices. Everyone should be able know before sitting down what you’re paying. That’s just my opinion inflation is real. But the way she took her time I would still go back. $60 for this full set.

They accommodate whatever you ask for they don’t get mad when you ask them to fix a mistake you make on your nails. They offer tea and coffee. They do amazing and the environment is so peaceful.

Kellie Renae Hjelmstad A friend and I decided to go here because it looked like a really nice salon inside and the reviews seemed nice… we wanted a pedicure and a manicure, both with gel. Which isn’t hard at all as she and i both have gone to school for it. But we were in the pedicure chairs for 3 hours. She and i both have cuts on our toes from the lady cutting our cuticles. When we finally got our manicures they rushed it and finished within 5 minutes. They missed spots on our nails, gave them odd shapes and left bubbles in our nails. We both have natural nails. We paid for the deluxe of everything and really didn’t get anything special done. They used some type of scrub and mask on our legs that left me with a horrible rash and scratches all over my legs and feet. I have bruises on the top of my feet from it all and my toes hurt. It was the worst experience. The staff were very nice overall, but that was the only upside. I usually do not leave reviews, bit this was just not ok.

Shebra Norris I have been going to mina for over 8 years and I have never had a time where my nails are not looking good. I trust them to always do my nails great. When I break a nail they fix them for me. Very nice people. I will always co E back to them for my nails and feet and eyebrows.

So I was hesitant to come here bc of the rating itself but I was desperate needing to get my nails done on a Sunday and my girl is closed and so many other places…. I HAD to get my nails done for photos this evening! This place so they had available while the others with better ratings were booked. So I said fingers crossed & y’all I can’t not understand what the 3.6 is for!!! Jasmine Jasmine Jasmine! So kind so sweet and so talented! She gave me the classy sweet fire engine red nails I wanted and they came out perfect, she didn’t rush took her time and was so absolutely pleasantly. I mean y’all let’s be positive and post positive reviewers as well. If you don’t have a nail girl or need a nail salon in town that’s affordable and pleasant come to Sky! L Went to have gel nail polish removed and a new manicure with regular polish. Gel wasn’t even completely removed - nails were rough and bumpy and she proceeded to paint my nails. I asked for the polish to just be removed because it looked terrible. The only other thing done was cuticle clipping. She charged me for gel removal and a manicure anyway and this was what my nails looked like when I left. You can still see the areas of gel attached to my nails. My daughter had the same experience but left the pink polish on. This was their “manicure.” Thumb nails filed different shapes and terrible polish application. What a disgusting waste of money. They charged us $55 total to partially remove gel polish, clip cuticles only, and apply the worst polish job I’ve ever seen. :(

Maya za If I could rate zero I would!! Worse customer service! Disrespectful, dishonest and extremely rude!! I did a full set, and my nails were uneven I mentioned politely and she was extremely rude and raising her voice on me! They cut my skin they didnt even apologize. The tools looked very dirty!! I hope I don’t get infection on my open cut which they did on my index finger. They told me that I’m tooo picky and I’m not welcomed there anymore! How rude!!!!! I usually tip %20 but I’m so glad I didn’t even tip them. Be careful and be aware!

Lauren Hitchcock I have been coming to this salon since we moved to Washington, and I absolutely love it. Jen is the absolute best and does amazing work! Not only is she so sweet, but I always come in with different designs, some complex, and she always delivers. I never leave disappointed! The pedicures are great too, I love the massages some of the ladies give! Overall, friendly atmosphere & all the ladies are so welcoming. I definitely recommend this salon. Derricka McGriff I love my nails!! But I came in to get pampered and relax and left with my back HURTING. it’s so uncomfortable getting a manicure and pedicure at the same time. I literally had to twist my body for her to reach my other hand. There’s no need to rush.

Megan Garry Every time I come here I’m impressed with my nails. I’ve gone to 3 different nail techs (I usually just come as a walk in instead of making appointments) and each time I get quality work and everyone is nice. Pricing is pretty good also. I will definitely continue to come back here

Whitney Mason I really thought Id found my pedicure place. Id come here every 2 weeks for several months last year, for gel nails and regular pedicure. The first time I came, I asked if the scrub they used for their pedicures was sugar or salt. Im allergic to sugar scrubs. It makes my skin burn and itch, even after washing it off. One of the ladies told me it was salt. Great! I got that first pedicure, and they had a loyal customer. Today, I went in for a gel full set and a pedicure. I hadnt been since before the holidays (becuase of scheduling). They did the pedicure first, and after the scrub, my legs started burning immediately. I asked (in a confirmatory tone), "this scrub is salt, right? Not sugar?" Thats when they told me that the scrub is sugar. They said theyd never used salt scrub. That the salt they use is bath salt for the tub. I explained that there was a lady who told me was salt, and that Ive never had an issue before today. At first, their response to that was that the lady doesnt work there anymore and that theres new management. Then they changed to say that the woman never worked there. Either way, they still charged me the full amount of the pedicure without apology. The only thing they did to remedy the situation was to clean off my legs with hand soap. (It didnt help: 20 min later, and my legs are still burning.) I felt bad for the girl who provided the service, and I was too exhausted (after working 12 hours last night as a nurse) to put up a fight, so thats why I still paid. But I will not be returning.
