J Calhoun A true hidden gem, Im so thankful to have found Kitsap Medical Group and Dr Bauer. Small friendly practice with an amazing staff. Super convenient having a lab corp on site, also plenty of parking in a good, safe location. They truly take good care of you here. Very thorough, and caring group of people. You guys are the best, thank you for having me as a patient.

Terri Vene I really like this place. Ive never had to wait at all. I see Dr Amkraut here and he is very thorough. I feel well taken care of.

Matthew Billings This doctors office I would highly recommend staying away from. The doctor my wife and I had failed to listen to concerns my wife had of a medication they had her taking. Turns out at the time my wife had been complaining that she was pregnant and it went unnoticed. This despite two appointments where blood and urine were taken. Had my wifes concerns and complaints about the medication been listened to then we likely would have known about the pregnancy earlier. Which then would have helped ensure it was a to term healthy pregnancy. Instead we learn at 20 weeks that she was pregnant when her water broke. If you want an office that pays attention to your medical concerns I would not suggest this office.

Carl and Marci Wiegand Low cost clinic that provides much needed care for people who are low income. Very professional and competent staff. Many locations in and around Kitsap county. After hours clinic available. They also provide dental services and all fees are based on a sliding scale. Pharmacy available on site. They get funding from state and federal government as well from low co-pays for services provided. Doctors are well trained and pay attention to what you say without making you feel rushed counseling services are also available to those in need.

Erika kisting Not a single staff member here cares about their job, or their patients. I have had the WORST time getting medical records requests done. I’ve been doing this since 12/6/24! It is well over the 30 day requirement, but no one will take responsibility for it. They told me on 1/23/25 that they sent my request, but on 2/9/25 my prior doctors said they still have not received anything. They lie to their patients because they don’t want to do the bare minimum of their jobs, like sending a simple fax that takes under 30 seconds. Dr Jose Garcia was fully committed to misunderstanding my health history. He did not properly record anything, and forgot to put my heart medications on my chart, and fill them, despite the appointment being 75% about my heart surgery. This clinic is simply terrible. You will not receive proper health care. You will not get ahold of anyone. Your medications will be forgotten. Everything you say will go in one ear and out the other to your provider. The front desk staff is disgustingly rude, and the clinic is dirty. I understand that this clinic services the homeless and low income populations, but we are people too. We deserve the most basic health care that this clinic simply refuses to give. If you don’t like servicing the low income community, if you don’t like being paid pennies on the dollar for your state subsidized patients, find another practice to work in. You don’t get to have a bias or opinion about the lives that your patients are living, to the point that you neglect their medical care, and prevent them from accessing necessary specialists and care. I have been BATTLING PCHS since December 6th of 2024. The second I can find a new PCP is the second I’m done with this mess of a clinic. I am disgusted by their practice, their behavior, and their woefully lacking in skill practitioners. If we can’t manage to properly record a verbal history, we need a new profession. If we can’t manage to send a simple fax, we need a new profession. I worked in medical, and I never let MRR or any important paperwork go like this. I have never disrespected the lives and health of my patients in such a way, nor have I ever been disrespected like this by a provider. If you want a real doctor who will listen to you, and staff that actually does their jobs, this is NOT the place for you. Find a better provider. It’s not worth the frustration and the absolutely idiocy of this poor excuse of a clinic. This is the poorest example I have ever seen of “health care,” and I come from the hood. I’ve had awful providers and been to terrible clinics in the ghetto, but PCHS takes the flippin’ cake of awful people to work with. Editing to add that their medical records department called me today. Joann was a pleasure, and personally handled the issue. Their medical records department is attentive and polite. She understood my frustration, and handled it perfectly. 5 stars for Joann. The rest of my review stands as 1 star, and doesn’t change my perception of the clinic.

DL Maita The staff of Peninsula Community Health (with an exception of a select few) bar none is mostly filled with a bunch of incompetents. Staff constantly messing up appointments and over scheduling, not having enough resources, canceling appointments with zero explanation, extracting my tooth and kicking me to the curb with zero plans yet of replacing it, and lack of call backs when you choose the call back option instead of waiting on hold for 30 minutes. I almost never give reviews but I couldn’t help myself. I have yet to have a positive experience in the several appointments I’ve had.

Rochelle T Hernandez I am highly upset. First of all, I came in to go to the extended hours. The clinic couldnt see me sent me to the emergency room. I was admitted. I was looking forward to my appointment on February 1st. I made this appointment almost a month and a half ago I get there and its with a mail provider when I stated clearly that I needed to see a female provider. Now they want to pushed my appointment off. They act as if no one but themselves are working and everyone else has to bend to their mistakes and their times. I think this is very unfortunate and I will not be coming back to this clinic

Tara Westfahl Ive received the worst care from pchs pharmacy. While Ive done all the footwork to get my insurance squared away, and have repeatedly talked to every necessary outlet to get solutions, Ive been ultimately told that the pharmacy is just not wanting to look further because they wont give me different answers no matter how many other places (Molina insurance, provider one, wa state health plan finder) tell me my insurance is active, the pchs pharmacy staff just tells me "its terminated". And unless they actually call Molina or confirm with provider one or apple health, which Ive already done twice and have even called pchs to relay that, then I wont receive my nerve medication. My carpal tunnel is unbearable and I cry every day from the pain and discomfort and all that I can conclude is that they just dont feel like calling the places I was told that they are supposed to call to confirm my medical. I have been told that the client isnt supposed to go through all of this but Ive done the footwork for them!! I am currently on the phone waiting to speak to a supervisor with Molina to find out how to get my prescriptions because the pchs pharmacy hasnt even called me back to update me on the technician who was supposed to call and look into it. Its been an hour and I know they havent been on lunch.

Robert Mclaughlin I really do like the Naval Hospital, they have always been good to my family and very helpful. The family practice for us has been spot on for 40 years. I like the views and the comfort of the waiting rooms. I know that some think the wait is long for many things but if you consider the number of people they see it is really not bad. Coming on Saturday for pharmacy is really your best bet, lobby opens at 7:30 and windows open at 8:00. The parking is very good and they have great customer service. Just think if you dont like the provider and they are Military they will transfer soon.

Claudia Cady Out of all the military hospitals that weve been to, Bremerton Naval is the absolute worst. Been trying to get a referral a scan for a month now. Ive called four different times to check on the referral or to have the nurse practitioner call me back and she hasnt. Nobody seems to know whats going on, the communication over there is horrific. I give this Hospital an F-

Galaxy Kat Been going here since I was a kid. Started having periods issues at age 12 that cause passing out, extreme pain, and vomiting every month. I went in a few times and the doctor told me I should go get pregnant at age 14. Then when I insisted that something was wrong and that I was a teenager they gave me a sugar pill. Literally ended up in the ER in a different county showed them the "hormone control pill" and was told it wasnt a real medication and just a sugar pill. Didnt get birth control until age 17 from my new pcp at this hospital. Not to mention wait time are terrible.

Carmen Miller My providers: Mary Miller and Mr. Davis are amazing. I did have a bit of a hard time with one of the nurses when I went for mental health and she got all religious on me but Mary was very supportive and even helped me through the panic attack that followed. Both of my providers shared their long history of experience in the medical field and I feel very safe in their hands. My sons providers Standaert and Crezensi (sp) are also wonderful and very experienced and Crezensi has contributed a lot to the inclusion of autistic people and the education of others about autism. Apart from that one nurse, all my other nurses and clinicians have been helpful and kind. All of our referrals have been submitted in a timely manner. Im excited that weve got some good people on our side at this location. And what a location, the views from the waiting rooms are breath taking if you are into lakes and forests and mountains, which I am. Also, if you needing specialty care, dont hesitate to ask for a referral down to the Army Hospital at Tacoma, they have over 50 specialty clinics in their medical mall that we have access to as well. So four stars because of that one nurse, but other than that our experience has been good.

Kevin Went here a lot as a kid (naval brat). Not sure if I would recommend it, although it was cheap/free. When I got old enough and switched providers, I realized that this hospital isnt great. 1. When I was a teen, I was losing hair and my scalp was incredibly irritated. The doctor at the Naval Hospital basically told me it was nothing. When I went to my new provider, they instantly recognized it and they correctly diagnosed me with seb derm and gave me an Rx shampoo that completely resolved all my problems. 2. I had two ingrown toenails as a kid (I now realized they were caused by my shoes). Instead of telling me to get new shoes, they instead just removed the nail and cauterized the nailbed, so it wouldnt grow back. Not sure why that was recommended by the Naval Hospital.

Daniel Hallstrom Pulling my family out of here. Went in for annual well visits and had my family established. I had assurances from my insurance company and their billing department that it would be covered as an “annual checkup”. I started getting bills associated with these visits upwards of $250 each and that was after insurance paid their part. Good luck trying to talk to someone. Their customer service routes to a “business center”. I’d recommend staying far far away from Franciscan or any of their offices

Kendra Aquiningoc My daughter found out she is pregnant and was referred to this clinic. They said they will ask a few questions and tell the answers to the dr to see if she is a “good fit” for their clinic! 1st of all, they are already judging her (she’s 18) and this isn’t a job interview!!! They wouldn’t schedule her appointment either. So we will be going elsewhere. I will be calling and speaking to a manager.

V Drem I’ve been going to this clinic since just before it opened in this location and have really appreciated that the new doctors there for their residencies are well supported by their mentor doctors. It’s a “two for the price of one” idea— you are seen by new doctors who are up to date on the latest medical information and then double checked by seasoned doctors who make sure they aren’t missing anything. While there have been a couple of resident doctors and a nurse there that I didn’t really like and requested not to be seen by again, all of the other doctors I’ve seen have been exceptional and keep me coming back. I think patients just need to remember that it’s totally fine to request a different doctor if you aren’t meshing well with one. This clinic is clean, calming, state of the art and is in an easy to reach to location with ample parking. Front desk staff have been respectful, kind and attentive. Appointments are easy to schedule and they can usually find a way to get you in quickly if you really need. Initially labs were not done at this location, but now that they are in the same building it’s incredibly convenient. Lab staff are quick, thorough and make the experience very low stress. All in all, I recommend this clinic if your insurance accepts it.

Jared Cornish Don’t bother selecting any one here as your PCP. Front desk is rude, Doctors will rush you through appointments and act inconvenienced by your presence. I had asked for help filling out paper work that is supposed to be filled out with your Doctor, instead it was taken to the back room filled out incorrectly. When asked to be fixed I was told that I did not know what I was talking about and “That is what you requested “. Toxic environment the care providers act like they don’t want to be there. Save yourself some time and go somewhere else, I don’t leave reviews often but I felt even if I could prevent one person from experiencing the stress this place has given me I did my job .

Michelle Strickland I was seeing Dr. Weston, who unfortunately has left. He had tests done to make sure I was healthy enough for a major surgery and unfortunately found a spot in my left lung. He immediately called and told me he was sending me in to see a cancer specialist, Dr. Howington. Dr. Howington had to remove a large section of my upper left lung. Im very thankful to all the doctors at the residency. So far, I have been placed with 3 who moved on in their medical careers.
