Theo Palmer I’m new to this doctors office of KVH but it has been the most positive experience of going to a doctor I’ve ever had (from Indiana to Texas to Florida and more), they’re so friendly and helpful and even fun. My doctor Kara Smith takes my concerns seriously and tackles them knowledgeably!

Kyle Howard Went for my child’s Drs appointment recently. We were 7 minutes late and they told us that we couldn’t be seen because we were more than 5 minutes late and they had taken a pt back that had come super early for their appointment. We asked if we could just trade times and they said that we could not because we were late. We said that no one told us that there was a 5 minute late cancellation policy and they forced us to reschedule. Very disappointed with the service and the lack of professionalism displayed during our attempts to resolve the issue.

Alexis Pappas I had a disappointing experience with Kittitas Valley Healthcare. Initially, I was billed incorrectly, and after contacting my insurance, they confirmed that the hospital had coded the claim improperly. The billing department was uncooperative and seemed unaware of how to resolve the issue. After explaining the situation, I specifically requested they add the code for an annual physical. The staff made a dismissive comment, stating it "probably wouldn’t change anything anyways," yet adding the code ultimately reduced my bill by half. Once I received the corrected paperwork from my insurance, I called KVH to inquire about a refund. I was told the refund would appear on my credit card. However, I would have expected them to notify me proactively, but it seemed the return only occurred because I initiated the call. In addition, I was very disappointed with the quality of care provided by my doctors. When I requested a medication appeal, the doctor submitted an inadequate response, using phrases like "I feel" rather than clear, evidence-based reasoning. This led to an easy denial from my insurance. A well-written appeal should focus on objective facts, not subjective statements. Furthermore, when I requested blood tests for celiac disease—especially after discovering that it runs in my family—I was told I would need to schedule an appointment before getting the requested blood test. This is an unnecessary attempt to charge for an additional visit when I just need to get my blood drawn at the lab. They also charge for every new doctor you see, as a new patient visit, FYI, even though it is in the same clinic. Given the poor customer service, billing errors, and requiring an appointment for a simple blood test to be done, I will not be returning to KVH and have already switched my insurance provider for the new year.

James Patrick Every time my wife and I have visited for our annual checkups, we get charged incorrectly and billed for both a primary care visited and an additional visit for literally no reason other to charge us money. We contact the office and insurance, and they both tell us that they coded the visit incorrectly and should fix it. Later they respond and say that there is nothing they can do to fix it, and we are charged over $100 for our supposedly covered annual checkup, due to improper coding of appointments by the office. This has happened multiple times, and there are other reviews here stating the same. Actually the worst, most scam filled doctor I have ever visited, and will not ever recommend this office to anyone unless theyre aware of and okay with getting scammed and paying for their annual checkups.

Nicole Loveless Zoe Birt is the best primary care physician I have ever had! Her manner is so kind and welcoming, and she takes time to really listen to the details of your issues and talk you through her thinking process for treatment. She makes you feel so seen and heard because she is so attentive to the specifics that you share, and works collaboratively with you to find the best solution. Would 1000% recommend her practice to anyone in Ellensburg.

Jamie Barton Kittitas Valley Healthcare has provided me with some of the best care I’ve ever experienced. The staff, from the front desk to the nurses and doctors, consistently go above and beyond to ensure every patient feels seen, heard, and cared for. Dr. Beard, in particular, is a standout. His expertise, compassion, and attention to detail are unmatched. He takes the time to thoroughly explain everything, answer questions, and make you feel comfortable, even in the most stressful situations. His genuine concern for his patients shines through in every interaction, and you can tell he’s deeply committed to his work and to the people he treats. The entire team at KVH is professional, kind, and patient-focused. They create an environment where you feel like more than just a number, and that personal touch makes all the difference. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kittitas Valley Healthcare to anyone in need of exceptional medical care!

M S Care is wonderful each time, but reception/billing will charge you with no notice, communication or even proof of a bill prior. Attached is the email from the receptionist stating that the clinic billed me without sending me any information, communication or my bill in any form. I had to call to get this information myself. They said they sent me a bill, but all I saw was a charge to the card I gave them at check in. Below you’ll see they did not follow whatever process they may have for sending me any charge or bill information. This didn’t have a negative affect on me, but if receptionists/billing doesn’t follow whatever system the clinic has had in place to *simply communicate charges with clients before taking funds from them* then I sure hope they’re in the process of creating and enforcing an effective one for the future.

Betty Nuggz Staff was very nice and welcoming and treated me with respect. The doctor was above and beyond phenomenal. Very informative and compassionate. Treated me like a human being not just another case walking in the door. I did not feel rushed and got the answers I needed. Thank you all for a wonderful experience in a time of stress and anxiety. I am grateful and appreciate you all for your kindness, time, and patience! Thank you - B. Crombie

Jennifer W The care received was fine, but the experience with the billing department (if it exists) has been terrible. We received a bill in the mail after insurance adjustments were made and promptly paid it, but 30 days later received another invoice indicating payment had not been recorded for our account. Im unable to reach a human to resolve this issue and have left unreturned voicemails. I have proof of payment on my end but Im unable to provide it to anyone who can fix their clerical error. Beware of questionable billing practices and a total lack of customer service after the visit.

Leslie Stankiewicz Usually we have great experiences at urgent care and prefer their services over going to our pcp. However, this last experience was not satisfactory. My child has been sick for 3 weeks, most likely a viral infection and no treatment except for symptoms, which I know. After 3 weeks I thought it was time to go because symptoms were worsening and I suspected a bacterial infection and wanted to get antibiotics on board. I clearly said I’m sure it’s a virus and know there is nothing you can do, but suspect a bacterial infection. Perhaps a sinus infection. The provider stated that children sinus aren’t developed enough to get sinus infections…what?! The provider refused to prescribe antibiotics until the culture came back. Ok fine, I get it, science doesn’t lie. They swabbed my child’s nose for viruses and bacteria. The culture came back with the flu (duh) and a colonizing bacterial infection (double duh). I requested antibiotics and the provider denied my request. Stating it’s not our practice to prescribe antibiotics to children this age. While understand letting the child’s immune system work, my child has been sick for 3 weeks with no improvement. Her immune system isn’t doing what it should! I sent the lab results and time frame of illness to 3 providers and all agreed she should have been treated. I believe the provider made a decision based on Her own bias. The second denial even with positive labs for bacterial infection was a clear power play from the provider. Another provider immediately prescribed antibiotics and in 24 hours she is herself again. The provider we saw is Jennifer Simmons.

Kayla Gribble Literally the worst experience Ive ever had in my entire life. I have never felt so unheard or disrespected from supposed professionals. I recently moved to Ellensburg from near Seattle to be closer to family. My daughter has Spina Bifida, and I was told many times over and over again that if she ever got a fever paired with projectile vomiting to immediately take her in. Which is what I did once her fever hit 100 and she puked. Upon coming into the office and checking her in, I instantly felt dismissed or like my worry for my daughter was unnecessary. After waiting a while and then questioning how much longer it would be to bring her back the receptionist responded with "Well if she was crying or seemed in distress shed prolly be taken back quicker." Keep in mind Im holding a 9 month old child who is burning up and literally passing out in my hands with a rapid heart rate - but she wasnt upset so it wasnt urgent I guess. When I make it back to the room I made it clear it wasnt necessarily the fever I was concerned about, but the potential for pressure in her brain to be occuring. Even asked if we should do an MRI. They doctors and nurses refused to listen and focused solely on the fever. During this time I had multiple nurses come in and try to repeat procedures that other nurses, or the doctor, had done - numerous times over. Like within minutes someone would try to come in and do something another nurse had done just a second ago. Not only this but when her temp was taken a second time to see if it went down the nurse argued with me when I said it got higher. She said "No its the same as before." Which it definitely was not. She leaves to check, and comes back and comfirms that it did raise. It was clear there was NO communication, or genuine care. All they wanted to do was continue to give her tylenol and ibuprofen back to back. I asked to be discharged so I could follow up care through her provider at Seattle Childrens and when I tried to explain why, I was quickly dismissed. So I leave, call Seattle Childrens, and guess what they want. A CT scan. Something to check her brain like I had mentioned time and time again. Seattle reaches out to the ER, lets them know what I need, and I head back to the ER for the scan. Upon arriving, once again communication doesnt seem to be their strong point, as once I get there they seem unsure of why I am there. We get back, get the scan, and I tell the nurse Id just prefer the scan to be sent to Seattle so they can appropriately review it. They take me over to a table in the hallway in a corner and have me sit there with no communication AGAIN on whats going on. I see the doctor I spoke with earlier pass by, and told him it was my understanding that the scan was getting sent over and that we just wanted to leave. So I walk to the front where another doctor hands me a dismissal paper to sign, and he very blatantly and rudely said to me "Have you considered moving?" I kinda laughed it off and said "Yeah, Id love to." To which he replies "Yeah, you should probably do that." Im sorry that youre uneducated about her Spina Bifida, and have no comminucatuon in your establishment, but I fail to see how its my fault for wanting suitable care for my child with a very serious condition. Id rather drive the pass in a winter storm than ever set foot in this place again. You guys should really work on listening to your patients. Now I have to follow up with Seattle and figure out whats going on, all because this hospital wouldnt listen or take anything seriously. EDIT - I have been at Seattle Childrens since yesterday afternoon. They reviewed the CT scan and did a urine analysis. Turns out not only does my daughter have a urinary tract infection, but she is also developing hydro and is needing surgery. My next appointment at Seattle wasnt until April, and this ER would have sent me home knowing nothing because they refused to listen. Which could have caused major problems for my daughter. Im not surprised at the sheer number of horrendous reviews.

Anthony P Unless youre dying, theyll treat you like youre a total inconvenience and/or making things up. I came in for an issue that very well could have been a medical emergency. Although I wouldnt have known had I not come in, thats kind of the point. I was given derogatory remarks coming in and on the way out. I know they probably get a lot of people who come in with nothing wrong, but its still your job. An ER isnt a place to make assumptions.

Tamera Lundgren Dr Berthan Ghetmay is dangerous because he prescribed me a medication I TOLD him I was allergic to. Of course I developed a dangerous reaction that landed me in the hospital. All because he ARGUED with me and didn’t respect me, the patient . Refuse his opinion!

Kelsey Both my husband and I have recently gone into the ER at KVH for different, but serious issues and have had a wonderful experience! My husband had to have emergency surgery when he went in, while I was seen for a possible heart attack, turns out it was a severe panic attack. Though they took the full preconsions as is runs in my family and didnt make me feel like a fool or a burden for coming in for such a thing. In both experiences, the front desk, all the nurses, doctors, EMT, imaging staff, etc, were so friendly and kind, knowledgeable and attentive. Apologizing to me for having a hard time getting an IV started in my tiny veins. It only took them 3 tries when other offices normally take a dozen or so. Not sure why so many people have had bad experiences, but I do think if you show them kindness they will always show you kindness in return. So thankful to know if I have to go back (heaven forbid) Im in good hands.

Faith Kruse I cannot stress this enough: do NOT go to this hospital. I dont care if you are on deaths door; make the drive to Wenatchee. Your odds of survival will be much higher than if you go here. On August 6th, I went in for severe flank pain and blood in the urine. Was left in a room for about an hour, curled up in agony, while the nurses pointed and stared at me (and did nothing to help). I was 99% sure I had a kidney stone, as Ive had them before and the pain was nearly identical to my past experiences. Got a CT scan done, the doctors said there was no stone but I had an ovarian cyst, and that was probably the issue. I was sent home with no pain medication and a recommendation to follow up with my PCP. I get a referral to urology in Wenatchee, and I call KVH 3-4 times to ask them to send the CT images over there. They only sent the reports despite me clearly asking for the images multiple times (and twice, they didnt even answer the phone!) For the next few weeks, the pain comes and goes with varying intensity, along with my other symptoms. Finally, I go to the emergency room in Wenatchee, where they do an ultrasound and see that my left kidney is swollen. I see a urologist a week later, who looks at the CT images that KVH did and who knew? There was a 5mm kidney stone that was clearly visible, and yet they "somehow" missed it. Its been a month and Ive been in complete agony, missing work and other important events. I have to pay thousands of dollars for a medical bill that gave me the wrong diagnosis, and I have to have surgery that shouldve been done a month ago if KVH actually did their jobs and properly looked at the CT images. The craziest part? This isnt the first time KVH has misdiagnosed me. Ive been to this ER twice in the past, and each time, I was misdiagnosed or told my pain was "normal" (before later discovering there was something seriously wrong). Most of my friends whove been here have had the same story. The doctors at KVH will not take your concerns seriously, and more often than not, theyll accuse you of just looking for pain pills. Its extremely disheartening, especially when the closest other hospitals are 45 minutes and 1.5 hours away respectively. Dont waste your time and money here. Go to Wenatchee or Seattle, where theyll actually give you answers and treat the issue. Its become very clear to me that the doctors at KVH couldnt care less about your health. They just want to make money.

Daniel Garcia I was there last night and they totally racist. My lungs haven’t been the same after Covid. I’ve been going to the ER after that a lot went to Ellensburg Hospital center there for hours with lots of pain. They just didn’t care. I drive 40 minutes just to be told, I wasn’t important. I needed to wait For other patients patients that were there for 10 minutes or 30 minutes cussing faster than I did I told him more than two times of my pain and brushed it off. People need to stay away from this hospital

Caila L I want to thank a nurse that was there today. She was traveling from Montana. I was in so much pain, panic attacks, couldn’t sleep and she really listened to me. It felt like I had a mom comforting me. I think it was the first time coming out as an autistic woman, and there was no judgment, only understanding and she calmed me down so much and made sure I had my pain down a lot. She is what I like to call an angel nurse. I don’t remember her name, I wish I could to show her the recognition she truly deserves. The doctor was very kind, too and the other nurse who swabbed my nose. I’m battling severe stomach pains from a viral bug, and their empathy and care has helped me through this mentally, and emotionally. God bless you. I hope your daughters know that they have an amazing mom.
