ashley hernandez From the friendly front desk, to the amazing medical assistant Haley and the provider Amanda! We couldn’t be happier with care we received today. Haley was so personable and patient with my girls. She is an amazing medical assistant and I can tell she loves what she does! Amanda was personable and easy to talk to, she was honest and thorough and my girls loved her as well. I love that family care network still has the personal touch that the bigger corporation physicians don’t.

Lisa Howard Last week I brought my Mother in to see her Provider and we had the most AMAZING MA, Michelle. She was very patient with the concerns we had and listened rather then rushing us for answers. When she was done with my Moms vitals she left us with a VERY sincere good bye and wishing us an AMAZING holiday and for good things with my Moms health. Michelle is an amazing women and North Cascade is lucky to have her.

Whitney Gates David Benson is one of the most caring and attentive doctors our family has ever had. We highly recommend him for OBGYN and family care! He delivered my two boys and during that time we had exceptional care from him and his team.

Alicia Jackson Dr. Gamson was amazing among the original doctors to this establishment. However, after 38 years of being ablet to be seen, they stopped taking UHC. The CFO was rude and made me feel like I meant nothing when I asked why they were removing UHC.

Jillian Rhone Love Dr. Benson & Mrs. Duperron are the best providers! I see Benson and my kids see Mrs. Duperron. They are the best docs in the valley! Nurse Lynn is always the best nurse in the building! We love her to pieces and are so thankful for her.

Jenna Perry Waited 6 hours in the waiting room with my daughter and her broken finger. Unfortunately with my husband on deployment I am a single mom who only just moved here with my 3 children two weeks ago and have not yet established childcare so my toddlers were also with me. I witnessed a man brought in by EMTs on a stretcher be dumped into the waiting room with the rest of us which I have never encountered before. Once called back the staff was very nice but seemed rushed to get us in and out of the room so they could bring someone else in. The drawers in the room were unlocked and had both syringes and needles in them which is not safe for children or those experiencing a mental health crisis. Overall not a wonderful experience and had I known the area better I probably wouldve opted for a more efficient emergency department.

Julia McNeill My visit to the ER was, fortunately, uneventful. All of the emploees were knowledgeable, kind, efficient and nice. As usual it was too cold. I was also under an air vent (that was dusty) so I really could not get warm. Also, typically, very noisy. Was there overnight, so resting was difficult, sleep impossible. Over all, not an unpleasant experience.

Maria Anastario My son has autism. He went to the ER for lower right abdominal pain. It is difficult enough to bring someone you love into the ER less alone someone that doesnt understand what is happening. The ER staff went above and beyond to comfort my son; help with his fears and anxiety; and provide the best care I could ask for. They have my deepest gratitude.

Leo I would say this place has come a long ways from the horrible mistakes they use to make. The nurses were awesome and the doctors were good to. The two thing I will say is one they were asking me questions while I was on pain medication. I dont remember all what they asked but I dont know what I answered. I think thats bullshit. Second one is the delay in doctors getting back to me with whats wrong. I never heard from the doctor just the nurses what was wrong with me. That was disappointing. One more thing Jesus Christ 4 hours to check out once they diagnosed me and said i can go home. Bottom line the hospital is night and day better than it was, but still needs improvement at the doctors level. Instead of requesting for the ambulance to take me to Bellingham I said Skagit Valley hospital. And sure enough I lived to give this review. Shout out to the incredible nurses they were so fantastic and great.

Tanya Jallo I was terrified. They took me straight back and prepared me for whatever Dr wanted. So great and kind to me which helped so very much.i would give it 100 stars if it wasnt for the girl who tried to draw my blood on my right arm. She should never have been given a needle. In all my years, I have never witnessed the needle poked in, then turn almost 90 degree and jammed into a tendon then she swung over to the opposite side again poking me in what I guess would be a tendon. After tears came to my eyes and I turned colors with my eyes wide open, she told the other guy to do it and just walked away from my arm with the needle in it. The guy jumped in and easily took my blood. My fiance and I are both in medical... definitely a shaking head moment. Can someone please tell me when my tendons will stop hurting when I use my right arm??? Can someone call me about this? Thank you all, hope you had a very Merry Christmas

Kilee Samora After being purchased by skagit regional health I scheduled both of my children for their first wellness visits following the buy out. I then received a bill for an additional copay and office visit at the same time as their fully covered wellness exam. I spoke with billing and they proceeded to tell me that due to me answering the questions about his past historical medical concerns, “that I brought up,” it was then considered an office visit regarding a problem and therefore is an office call fee on top of the wellness visit charge. Safe to say after six years with this office, I will be looking for a new pediatricians office. Very unfortunate given the circumstances.

Mystery Ember “Ember” Update: they fixed the issue. It has been much better. Thank you for following up with us! Old review: I cannot get thru to talk to my daughters doctor since the change over . Today I have left the call back number after a long wait and still not return call. They arent approving my daughters lifesaving medicine which is very annoying . I cant figure out another way to get thru to them. What if my daughter needed nurse advice? We sure wouldnt be able to get it .

Alysha Monroe Ever since its changed to little mountain Skagit regional health their service has declined even more. When my kid has a fractured foot how is it helpful to get an appointment in a week. It’s joke. Go elsewhere if you can.

Rhianna Camacho The call center takes forever so you cant get help like you used to. Before as Skagit Peds, you could call and reach someone right away. Before, requesting an appointment was easy online, contacting your doc/nurse was easy. Now its difficult and much less personal. They also highly advertise/post for mental health as if its a promotion or invitation rather than a disease that needs mental help which is disappointing considering it is a childs facility.

Mark Hartman Skagit pediatrics doesnt respect our time. We were told to show up for a Saturday appointment at 8:15. So we we got there 15 min early at 8:00. Turns out the place doesnt open til 8:30. The receptionist lied to us about the appointment time. So we wont come early anymore...

Sara I was a patient at this clinic in 2021 while pregnant with my 1st child. I didn’t realize until now, being pregnant with my 2nd child, and under the care of a Virginia Mason clinic, what terrible care I received here. At the time, I had nothing to compare the experience to, but now, looking back, I realize I was treated so poorly by Dr. Allam. I was around 200lbs when I got pregnant with my daughter, and like most people in Washington state, I was a recreational cannabis user, but stopped as soon as I found out I was pregnant. Those 2 things automatically put me in the “high risk” category, and between that classification, and the fact that I was a Medicaid patient, I ultimately received the bare bones treatment, and was given little to no consent on the type of care I received. (I am around the same BMI now, and my midwife at my new clinic is not classifying me as high risk) At my 1st ultrasound appt, Dr. Allam assumed she would not be able to see my baby with a transabdominal US, and automatically shoved the vaginal probe inside of me with very little warning or care. At my new clinic, the tech told me she would only do transvaginal if absolutely necessary, and it turned out she had a perfectly clear view of the baby through the transabdominal scan. I was given limited information at every appt, and basically made to feel like a fat POS who was risking my unborn child at every appt, despite the fact that I had a completely uncomplicated pregnancy— no adverse symptoms, no preeclampsia, no gestational diabetes— and delivered a healthy, full term baby at 39 weeks vaginally. Post partum care was a joke. The doctors at Sea Mar really don’t seem to care about their patients well-being or preferences at all. And as I go through the clinical notes for all my appts for that pregnancy, I see several times where they blatantly lied, like in my after birth visit where I told them I was struggling with milk production, and the doctor wrote “no issues with breast feeding.” I am so glad to have double insurance coverage and was able to select better OB care this time around, because looking back, my experience with Sea Mar was terrible.

MP Benedict-Shattuck THIS GROUP IS DEPLORABLE! I recommend avoiding their services if at all possible. On the two occasions I booked an appointment, the doctor did not show up. While I can understand the Dr needs to be present at the birth of newborns, I cannot fathom why the clinic could not even bother to call (on the second occasion) and save me an hours driving time, the cost of fuel, and the time arranged from away from work. Think of it this way: if a group of people cannot even understand how to use a phone, or comprehend the impact of their cavalier attitudes towards other peoples time and expense, then I can only conclude they cannot be trusted to handle important matters such as lab results, lab sample protocols, let alone diagnostic interpretations. My conclusion is simply logical. Again, I do not recommend this facility.

Hannah H I had to reschedule 3 different times then when I went there, I was waiting a half an hour before a receptionist told me the Dr was 2 hrs behind. I scheduled with a different doctor they had. He was very quick, straight to the point, and I was out quickly.

Hart Douglass Mount Vernon, WA Community-based Outpatient Clinic (MV CBOC) has some of THE BEST service I have experienced in healthcare and I want to specifically give a shout out to the newer gal in labs as well as the entire Sequoia Team. These folks really do try to meet and exceed the same sorts of expectations I felt we all tried to meet or exceed in the Navy which were rooted in the premise that, whatever it is, we "leave it better than we found it." Add to that philosophy a general approach of compassion, curiosity, persistence and kindness and you get a wonderful mix I wish all Skagitonians could feel in all pursuits of better health for themselves. I do not typically write reviews or post publicly and I want to share this mostly because people doing superb work are not always seen for their hard work because they are also people who push boundaries and tend to establish new standards in doing so. Some folks dont like it when standards change because they have to up their game. I am VERY fortunate to benefit directly from the VAs overall Continuous Improvement Measures and I am EXTREMELY PROUD to have SUCH PROFESSIONALS providing this five-star service direct to our communitys veterans and THANK YOU MVCBOC for not stopping at getting the job done, but for pushing to show us all what quality healthcare COULD be. Thank you to you all!

rick segal Im grateful for the outstanding service/support from this VA clinic. They were helpful, has some in clinic medical items, and were happy to provide additional information on the medical care that I was entitled to. They have an excellent process to resolve issues on the spot as I watched them do it for a few people. Super clinic and an excellent part of my benefits.

Tyller Boomgaarden I have never once had a problem at the VA, I dont even pay co-pays since they have my second insurance on file. The VA does right by me and Mt. Vernon is no different. Walk in, no appointments for X-rays are available. Blood draws are always fast and hardly and waiting. Nurses and doctors, and front desk workers have all been encouraging, helpful and responsive. Always offering information they might have and insights into the VA.

J Anerson Fell on ice in my driveway at 8:00 p.m. taken in by ambulance. The care was good the exray tech and Dr B.and nurse was good. They diagnosed a pelvic fracture. My pain was unbearable. At 3:00 a.m. they said you gotta go. My wife and I explained that our steep drive was frozen over and wed parked up on the road which caused all this. We asked can I at least stay until morning when we can have our driveway plowed. The nurse said Nope. Were not a motel. So my wife got a motel and helped me get in the hallway to the room. Shes tiny compared to me. So We feel they treated us like homeless folks looking for a place for the night. We live 10 minutes from the hospital but next time we wont go back to Island Hospital. I called in today. Ive been trying to see an orthopedic surgeon since last Thursday. Bellingham said the 18th. I asked why so far out. They said Island reported on my check out I didnt have to much problem putting weight on my hip. B.S. my pain was A 10+ out of 10. The Dr .and aid knew that. My next step is getting the check out report. Im adding to my original review from my February 5th ER visit. 2 days in a motel as our driveway was frozen over, we got our driveway plowed. Called a couple orthopedic surgeons who said there 9-14 days out. No pain medicine left and no one would refill without seeing me. 3 days at home and back to the ER. Not Island. They redid my scan. Verified I had a pelvic fracture. And know pneumonia. They were appalled that I was sent home at 3:30 in the morning. 3 days in hospital physical therapy already started and any after care set up. All Island health responds with is, call our quality number. Im not done reporting there negligence.

Etepa Maines I’ve been in and out of the ER multiple times due to severe hypotension in my pregnancy. I’ve hated going in every single time because our entire trip takes about 3-4 hours for the same spiel. Vitals, fluids, do these things to help at home. But the staff have NEVER made me feel like an inconvenience for getting fluids and have taken the time to talk to me every time. They never assume that’s what I’m here for and take the time to access me every time. Now I regularly get fluids at the infusion center so no more late night ER visits. The staff at the infusion center are always happy to help and they ask about my toddler who sometimes accompanies me. Some of the nurses remember me from the ER visits and ask me how I’m doing now. I barely remember them but the fact that they remember me really shows how much they care about their patients.

Star Reed Dr. Brittany Whitaker is a wonderful provider! She is very thorough and has consistently shown compassion and truly listened to all of my concerns. As a healthcare provider myself, I can attest that Dr. Whitaker is well rounded and demonstrates superior medical expertise and experience. She also recognizes the importance in continuity of care. When concerns arise, she never hesitates to make referrals when needed. Her approach is clearly patient centered. I feel heard and respected during every visit. I cannot praise her enough! Thank you Dr. Whitaker! Additionally, through Dr. Whitakers referrals, I have also seen Dr. Sara Weeks and Dr. Stephen Horras and both providers are wonderful!

George Hatfield My experience with the Island Hospital ER was excellent. I was admitted to the ER quickly, and the care was excellent. Maybe it was a slow night, but there seemed to be adequate staff and I was frequently monitored and kept informed during my stay. In short, I was impressed.

Sierra Olivier Cindy over in the laboratory was AMAZING! Everyone there had always told me I have small veins or they were in hard to reach places. This made my Lab experience a lot more painful and dreadful. Cindy though was so good at her job, she said I didn’t have small veins and she basically flicked the needle into the vein so quick I didn’t feel anything!

Beau Anderson Ive had good visits with this hospital.there is a triage nurse there named crystal that is hands down the best ive ever seen but this time is absolutly unbelievable.my friend and i came here on xmas eve for a laceration on his finger,it was bad.we sat out in the waiting room for 3+ hours when i finaly went up and asked about how much longer till he was seen(he had blead thru his bandage and was bleeding onto the floor).the receptionist informed us that his name was not on there list(he had been thru triage and everything, had a wristband)she tells us that we must have left when they called our name(we never left)and wanted to put him thru the intake process all over again.he was pissed so we left.i was gonna take care of it at my house but found out it was beyond my scope so we returned and the same receptionist started off by telling us that we were wrong for leaving like they did nothing wrong.(its xmas eve,i didnot want to waste 3+ hours sitting in the waiting room for my health). Extremely unprofessional in my oppinion.there was a huge ball dropped on there end and they did nothing to try to correct this besides dumb it down like it was no big deal to save there ass. Well bet you this we will be speaking to a lawyer after the holidays.and save your reply about contacting your patient relations department, thats like a signature on a stamp.its just an insult to people when you respond with the same response with no intention on actually doing anything about your incompitence in patient care and relations. Something like this heads should roll over this kind off error but they wont. Doctors and nurses get a 5 star but the front desk and admin dept of this hospital get 1 star because this is not the first nor the last of these kind of complaints but nothing will change. Update-went back later this evening and my friends finger was so bad he needed 17 stitches.and he was sent home with nothing for his pain.he was miserable for the next 2 days.gross incompitence

Cake Sweetie Terrible experience. Was taken to the ER due to an concussion a while back, some of the ER nurses lacked professionalism, and general health safety. After being taken back to an exam room, I needed assistance walking to and from the restroom, and was told that the nurse would wait for me outside the door to walk me back. Was in the bathroom for approx. 2 minutes, opened the door and realized i was left alone with no explanation, risking falling inside of the ER,due to my wooziness from the concussion, the nurses were no where in sight. So I had to walk back to my room by myself. Nurse didnt apologize or get someone else to assist me, yall are lucky I didnt fall in your care. I will never go back here again. The doctor was wonderful I will say that, but some of the nurses need serious training.

Bryan Smith All these shared experiences from Vets that have gone here throughout the years, extremely displeased with their encounter the Dr Oliver. Your repeated response is that you’ll take it into account and open an investigation. And yet, this man is still the examiner there, or at least he was when I went through in March. What does it take for your company to actually do something about it? I’ve had multiple exams with the same physician, so yielding results in my favor, some not. My experiences with other C&P exam contractors have been a much more pleasant experiences, and better outcomes because of the time, care, sincerity and effort the examiners from those contractors have put into the evaluations.

Gabriella Drake Im being generous with the 2 stars only because one of my evaluations went well and I felt heard. When I did my general exam I immediately felt degraded and uncomfortable. The man who did my exam wasnt just rude but completely ignored everything I was telling him. I provided documentation of a diagnosis given to me by a rheumatologist and he completely ignored it and failed to add it to my evaluation. This is just wrong and unacceptable. I didnt serve my country to be disrespected and invalidated by a rude old man. As an active duty service member I shouldve been treated better and given an accurate depiction of my health issues considering I had all the documentation to back it up. This place needs new examiners.

crazyeyecarl (crazyeyecarl) UPDATE: Went a 3rd time. Guess what happened? The doctor acted like the whole thing was below him and he was wasting his time. He blew off my answers to his questions multiple times, he asked questions that were completely unrelated to why I was there, then when I called him out he would claim he asked something else. This place is a joke. Ill be calling the VA, leaving some choice emails with a senator, practically anything I can to get this company stripped of a contract. These people arent here for Vets, they arent even here to be a decent doctor. Theyre there to make money off the government. This group is contracted through the VA to handle compensation appointments. They treat you as a number. Ive had 2 appointments, and neither were more than 10 minutes. Not only did they hardly go over the issues that the appointments were about, but they completely ignored any extra piece of information i tried to give them. Already started the appeal process.

Rae Will HR needs to do a much better job at the hiring process of physicians. I was met by a grumpy Dr who seemed as he had a “let’s hurry and get this over with” attitude Some of these people clearly are not here for veterans. I had a provider completely be so RUDE to me, show no compassion. This was a complete waste of my time. I have only had 1 physician be rude to me and this place I had a second. My Google name listed is exactly what QTC needs! Horrible place. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone my thoughts and prayers go out to future veterans who have to come here. I truly am sorry for you. I saw a similar review about a Dr and I believe 3 years later I got the same Dr because the same energy was given to me. Complete and utter disregard for my claims and respect. Didn’t care to listen when I tried explaining , questions barely were relatable, it was all about tHe Dr and only them is really what it seemed. I may as well did a virtual if that’s the care because I barley BARELY actually got to speak about my claims, so how are you going to know and rate my compensation claim properly?????? Horrible horrible horrible place !!! Drive the extra miles to go elsewhere, hopefully you will be treated with some respect and compassion. This place offers none of the above. I am most definitely prepared to APPEAL. Again I do not recommend if you can help it.

Nik B I had a fantastic provider (Dr ZHAO) here who, unfortunately isnt seeing patients full time any longer. I was asked to select a new provider and chose a female, DR VOLSKY! I showed up for my first, meet up appt. Filled out the iPad information, which included "anything currently bothering you/issues" I answered the question with a couple of insignificant things, e.g. sinus pressure, back pain/spasms since surgery. The first words out of her mouth, when she walked into the room "I dont have time for your laundry list of complaints. You need to pick the most important complaint and Ill take it from there." SHOCKED! I tried to explain that I simply answered the questions on the iPad! She didnt even look my way, continued to look at the computer. "Did you purchase anything at the drug store for the sinus pressure? Do you know how to use nasal spray? Go purchase something behind the counter at the drug store." "You shouldve been going to physical therapy this entire time" ok the surgeon said 6 weeks. "go back to physical therapy" She has disabled/locked ACTIVE prescriptions in my profile on MyChart so that I cannot request a refill! Since my visit with her. If youre considering going to this Clinic, Ive had great experiences with the hospital, same day clinic, Imaging and same day procedures. The family clinic (suite 200) is very nice. I do not recommend Dr VOLSKY! Do your homework before you select a provider.

Cassie M Absolutely horrible trying to get ahold of anyone in this building. Anytime I try to call, nobody answers and when they do finally answer they hang up the phone immediately even though I’ve been on hold forever. They literally purposely hang up so they don’t have to take your call. I shouldn’t have to drive over there and walk into the building just to schedule an appointment.

Mikel Peabody A V O I D this group! Sadly - excellent patient experience but the WORST billing dept & policies we have dealt w/ in years. We were contacted by phone ONE time, at which time I was hoslitalized. The secondary number they had, my husband’s, was actually INCORRECT. They called that wrong # ONE time. They proceeded to send bills via mail, we had told them we do not receive our mail and have reported that often; and we had told them upfront repeatedly: we need paperless only. Their response to that reminder, AFTER they sent us to collection LOL: “we don’t do email, and we only call once.” They could’ve told us that upfront when we asked for paperless. They could have confirmed our ph #s under such stringent policies. The bill was for $16. And they sent it to collections without trying to contact us a second time. LAAAZY billing department. And despite being polite when I called to resolve - as it was THEIR oversight to not contact us as we’d discussed - we were smugly and flippantly dismissed. So. If you PAY your bills - you are STILL at risk of getting reported to collections w this group. AVOID!

Kyle Snavely Unlike just about every other medical service, they won’t work with you to reduce their horrendously high fees. They push a payment plan, but that’s doesn’t address how much they overcharge for 5 minutes in the office dealing with rude staff

Brenda Cole Please dont sign up for the payment plan. Its screwed me over not once, not twice, but three times. I got the sheet in the mail asking how many payments, when in the month, and how much. My bill was for 150$. I sign up for $76 for 2 payments on the 20th of the month. 8/15 $76 was taken out. 8/20 $76 was taken out again and then on 9/20 they took out another $76. When I called the gal was sweet and I was very nice about the mistake that had been made but then she told me the check for my refund wasnt going to be cut until Friday the 28th!! I didnt get mean or angry with her because I dont know who is responsible for everything that happened. Horrible experience! Not only was my first payment date mixed up, then 5 days later they draw out more money instead of waiting for the next month, just to come around and take it out again. Then tell me I wont received a refund for over a week. I didnt make a fuss when they took it out on the 15th or the 20th last month because I figured "oh well, its paid off now" but then Im having to cut myself short on groceries. Im disgusted with the way this whole thing has been handled.

Megan and Andrew Boyd Recently witnessed how this organization treats their employees. Let me just say it’s shocking. I will never return for my yearly mammograms. I’ll take my time and my $ elsewhere.

Freeman Nate (Nate) For 7 different years i went to sea mar. I dont recommend it for anyone 11+ The first year was great, but i was 9 so of course i thought it was. Good for little ones but not so much for adults and definitely not for teenagers.

Dustin Hillis This place has its ups and downs. Dont give up hope! I stuck with Sea Mar through a lot of rough patches. I didnt think Id get anywhere with them. I kept losing counselors and starting over. Finally, I found a new counselor that I decided to give a chance to, and I liked. I made a breakthrough and am making real progress now. I am hopeful for the future with all the help I am receiving.

Lyla Cornish This place is a joke. It was okay until they fired people and changed doctors. They cant get scheduling handled properly. They have zero communication between them and the cdp counselor. This place is suppose to help people struggling witg addiction but all that seems to be their concern is getting my peracriptions through sea mar when i was already established aat safeway. I would not recommend this place if your looking for stable and lind treatment.

Brianna Shinners SeaMar is completely underfunded and as such, is irresponsibly run. I’d your loved one needs help, search elsewhere
