Alexander Razlivanov Emergency room, the doctors are incompetent. I came in with a problem and waited in a line of only two people for 2.5 hours, surrounded by homeless people sleeping there, with noodles and other food on the floor. I explained the entire issue and requested specific tests, but they just shrugged, said they couldn’t do anything, and recommended ibuprofen. This whole experience, along with my pain and unresolved problem, cost over $200. Terrible service; complete unqualified staff.

Jenn A I have zero complaints and have received nothing but exemplary care and compassion at Swedish hospital. Never rushed into anything, always listened to and heard. I feel safe here and important!
5 /5
Dawn Abbott They charged me $4,000 to get 2 x-rays for my hand. Extremely simple and straightforward. But I was misdiagnosed and actually did have a fracture. I had to get more x-rays and it cost me even more money.

Wendy Harris Appreciate all the hard work the hospital is doing during this time. Jordan came to my mothers room to take blood, my mother does not do good getting her blood drawn. Jordan was wonderful he was patient with her and explained everything he was going to do. Best part, mom said she barely felt it. Thank you Jordan

Dr. Patrizia A Showell

Address: 904 7th Ave, Seattle, WA 98104

(11) Reviews Dr. Patrizia A Showell:

Myriam Alladen If I could give no stars then I would. I was referred to Dr Showell years ago when my mom was sick in the hospital and going through a lot. Dr Showell new nothing about that, and regardless she was rude and accusatory about my situation due to a car accident. She was no help and I still remember her looking at me up and down like she was being judgmental. Like I was beneath her and not good enough to be in her presence. This was about 10 years ago and I still have a bad taste in my mouth and do not hesitate to tell anyone! Worst attitude ever! I missed out on filling out the survey for her because I was too distraught sine my mom passed away. Then stumbled on other bad reviews about her! Good to know I am not the only one that thinks shes an awful doctor!!!

Michelle Dellino The reviews I see here shock me. I truly appreciate Dr. Showell. I have been to a lot of doctors over the years and Im happy to have found her. I have seen her a pretty considerable number of times over the past 4 years. She isnt warm and fuzzy (neither and I)( but she is friendly and cares. I am a professional woman who appreciates straight talk. She gives me that. She is also willing to dig into my issues and work with me on medications, problem solving, and making referrals when needed. She is also very quick to answer any messages, has encouraged me to contact her if needed, and has even responded to my inquiries in the evening in the past. I have also referred a close friend to her. I was really surprised to see so many negative reviews here and on Yelp. People are remarking on her demeanor a lot. I get that a lot in my job as well. I dont know, maybe people think that women who tell it like it is, do a good job, do not waste time, and dont want to hug you all the time are cold and uncaring -- if thats the case, it is their loss. I am 100% happy with Dr. Showell.
5 /5
Kathleen Duke I honestly cant fathom these reviews. Ive been seeing Dr. Showell as my PCP for at least 8 years. She has always listened carefully, provided excellent, coordinated care (*and* is thoughtful about prescription costs). She has a very professional manner - you wont confuse her with your therapist or best friend. And thats OK, folks, because your therapist and best friends can fill those roles. Dr. Showell is a highly competent and responsive internist, which is *exactly* what you want in an internist.
5 /5
Holien Alexandra (she/they) Absolutly horrible care. She really should not practicing medicine at all. I went to her looking to move some medication over from my psychiatric provider (Im 8 month postpartum) and she was the most unhelpful, judgmental and uncaring person I could encounter. She looked at her iPad the whole time and didnt listen to me at all. She would not even give me an IUD! Being a black women I am always trying to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I cant here. This is my health and I have never felt so ignored and betrayed by a doctor. I have already put a complaint in with her office manager and the polyclinic overall. She is not a competent doc.
1 /5
Yvette Watkins I am shocked by the reviews that are so negative. I have been Dr. Showells patient for over 10 years. She has been there for me through ups and downs with my health and weight. She doesnt sugarcoat things but she is not cruel. She has been beyond helpful to me and I cant imagine seeing anyone else for my care.

Rachel Klinkatsis You will get medically gaslit at this emergency room. My primary docs suggest I never come here again. They do not listen to symptoms and the ER doc interrupted while I was trying to explain my symptoms saying thats not it and invalidated my feelings every turn. I was forced to come here because my primary care deemed me severe. But they told me never to go here again and just go to Swedish hospital. Do you health a favor never come here.

Lynn I went to this location fairly recently. Please, for the sake of your sanity, dont go here. I was "lucky" enough to hear many nurses and doctors talking loudly about their patients, and I dont recall any comment being positive. I have mental health conditions, and at the time was experiencing severe sleep deprivation which tends to make me confused and almost in a dreamlike state. So I wasnt exactly in the best state of mind, and I did try telling them this. At first they seemed nice and had urgency, and I appreciated it since I was feeling extremely anxious and started to believe I really had the condition they thought I had. When they found nothing on the test results the attitude shift was immediate. They had no sympathy and flagged me as a crazy person who was likely homeless, calling me a faker and "machine stealer" and mocked me right outside my door; despite the fact I still had some issues. They just assumed I was lying. I felt like I was being watched and judged for every little thing the whole time, and due to my high anxiety I eventually broke down - which was also mocked in a manner that suggested that I was expecting to be treated like royalty. After I thought I heard them accusing me of drug use I responded in an upset way, which seemed to trigger more insults and the attitude of "well we work here and gotta talk and have fun somehow." After that they really treated me like I was a homeless druggie just looking for a place to sleep. Even if I was, what a horrible way to look at things and treat others! When it was time to leave I couldnt wait, as much as they acted like I wanted to stay and "pretend I was in a 4 star hotel." Absolute disregard to how they may be affecting others. Please dont go here, most of them only care about cycling through beds and patients to get through the day, gossip, and making fun of the people theyre supposed to care for. The good things Ill say is that my doctor who took care of my heart ultrasound later on was a great patient lady who seemed to care and I enjoyed chatting with her, my initial doctor who tested me for the potential condition seemed really sweet, and one nurse seemed to actually be engaged without feeling fake on the second day - he made me feel a bit better after all the things that had been going on. Oh, and the wonderful person who helped me outside after discharging was delightful. I wish I remembered their names. They deserve the star that Im giving. Have a good day, and get well soon if youre on the lookout for a place right now.

Sp Small Wow I’ve had many heart conditions and many other things vmmc. Is by far the worst!!!! 4. And a half hour wait this shows how much trouble our medical system is in America With is obvious abuse. I know I have rsv which is contagious but they don’t care who gets it now it’s been 6 hours. We need to strike against this treatment. Unbelievably so bad I’m losing all faith in them. How can we trust such bad treatment I want to form a boycott and strike outside this horrible emergency room. That’s the only way they will change. They should not have the right to treat people the way they do. Can’t even blame insurance companies for this

J VK Apparently how high a temperature someone has doesnt matter to the doctors at Virginia Mason. I was told to not worry about it, even though 104 starts to cook a persons organs. I was asking for guidance about when/if to come and back was told only if you cant breathe or eat/drink. I was also told that I didnt have a fever, when 30 mins before it was 103.6. I went home and used an oral thermometer what do you know I have a fever of 101.8, while being on Tylenol... Truly incompetent and going to get sued if they advise patients that the number of a fever doesnt matter.

D David (Dae) I come here EXCLUSIVELY for emergency care. All staff are friendly helpful and informative. This evening Nurse Kim and Dr Casey took EXCELLENT care of my partner. I would let anyone know if your NOT on deaths door you come here. They will get u in and out with a quickness. Update 2/9/25 A week ago to the date 2/2/25 I myself personally was in the ER for pain in the neck and was treated fairly quickly and given meds excellent care once again. Fast forward to 2/9/25 and now I was experiencing numbness and loss of sensation in my arm and I knew it was time to go to VM ER. I was fortunate to have the same provider in the and she remembered me, right away she got into action and let me tell you I’m glad she did! I came in for my numbness and discovered something much more urgent. A benign tumor on my brain now as much panic as this has caused I am still keeping a positive attitude and cannot thank the team at VM for alerting me to something I wouldn’t have ever known about. These are the reasons I trust myself and my loved ones in their care they are truly dedicated to their patients and even follow up with you post care to make sure you have gotten what you needed and are doing better. Shoutout to the overnight and AM crew today. You are all the real MVP this Super Bowl Sunday.

Nadia Karimi I had a very disappointing experience at this emergency room. There were only a few patients waiting, but the wait time was extremely long. The reception staff and security were laughing so loudly, it was very disturbing for patients who were in pain. The nurses called patients’ names very quietly from far away, without any clear instructions, so many patients didn’t hear their names. The staff also seemed tired and unfriendly, treating patients like a burden instead of people in pain. This is not how patients should be treated in an emergency room. I hope they improve their care and communication.

Angela Collins A big “thank you,” to the staff, nurses and doctors working the evening of November 12, 2024. It was clearly a busy night for the ER team. I was fortunately not as critical as some cases coming through the doors, so that meant I had to wait. I understand a triage system and I realize that more critical cases will appropriately be bumped ahead of me. 6 hrs for an exam, bloodwork, a CT and discussion of results is completely understandable on a busy evening. I left with discharge notes and an explanation of findings. The entire UW team was working diligently in a building undergoing renovations. My husband and I appreciate you all!

LaChina Acissej Rosie Athena & Sosomos really nice people, although we came around 5:30pm & left at 11:30pm. Athena the medical assistant was really nice, made a lot of jokes, she made my partner feel comfortable and happy even though he was in pain. she was quick with it, smart w it &’ an expert. thank you for keeping us with joy while waiting for results.

Tian Shi I had an amazing experience at the ER here today. Everyone I met was extremely nice and helpful, the frontdesk, nurse, doctor, lab technician, everyone was professional. I was a little nervous before going because of the bad reviews, but was treated very well and the wait time is also completely reasonable.

Jackson Ludwig Completely understaffed. I had a large gash on my head and went in to get it cleaned up and stitches or staples done. We came in at 10pm and didnt leave until 5 AM! Several people in the lobby were really sick and throwing up and were just ignored by staff. Once I finally made it behind the doors we waited hours while medical staff just walked by at a snails pace. The only beds available were some spare ones in the hallway. There was no urgency at all and we had to remind staff that we were there and needed help more than once. Doctors also had conversations about other patients right in front of us, while nurses spent time in the break area gossiping while many people were not receiving care or attention. I really used to have faith that UW was a good place to go, but they have clearly cut budgets, staffing, and their attention to giving quality care. Eventually I did receive care, and they took the time to answer my questions and address the wound. This isnt a fault of the doctors, more the bureaucracy of UW as a whole. Im not sure any other ERs would be much better, but Ive never waited that long to be seen. Next time I probably will go to Swedish or VM instead. Do better UW.

Garvita Rai I was disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding the charges for services. They billed my annual visit with tons of extra, unnecessary charges, and didnt inform me during my visit. Make sure you dont ask your doctor any questions, because each question will cost you $400, even if there were no medical services given! The medical care was honestly subpar, and the visit was full of hidden charges! Do not recommend Dr Nguyethang Pham!

K Rock I have had a great experience with all the docs here. However, now that Optum has taken over their new overlords are running a scam. If you go in for your annual physical, which is free on my insurance, they bill another line item for discussing any of your medical conditions. WTH, is not that what a physical is for? Nope, it is for just looking at you without discussing anything. It is a scam to get extra from the insurance, which translates to a copay for the patient. They even have a sign explaining this!!!

Real Seattle Reviews Lazy, incompetent, holistically dont care about their clients, and probably their staff team since their turnover rate in every department is sky high... They dont answer their phones. Ive had 3 Doctors quit in the last 6 months, two from Internal/Family Medicine, one from Dermatology. Each time theyve made me come into the office to pick out a new doctor and compensate for their lack of employee retention. My most recent experience, I sat down with the manager and a gentleman who told me they could no longer service myself and child as they no longer treat children period…and “they only have Five doctors remaining who are at capacity”, because they can’t keep a staff team ... My last Doctor was overly opinionated, unprofessional and highly aggressive on pushing COVID vaccines on my little boy, AFTER I REPEATEDLY TOLD HER WE HAD RELIGIOUS BOUNDARIES. Disrespecting me and disregarding me in front of my son to push her agenda was the last straw and then magically she no longer works here…. I was forced to go with my child to another location …that location I left a five star rating. This particular branch, I’ve sat down with their Manager and I’m very convinced it’s a management issue. Try one of their other locations you’ll be pleasantly shocked and surprised at the contrast.

Dunia Alrabadi I visited this place twice now, and both times I’ve felt even worse after meeting with someone there. Nurses and front desk people are very nice. Doctors are not as much, They just want to get you in and out quickly and in the process they don’t really listen to your concerns and they make you feel stupid. Like you pay them to go in and get help instead you end up paying to walk out with zero new information and just feeling stupid for going in there with concerns. I did feel that Jenna does care about her patients and she does response to emails and questions and I really appreciate that, but appointments there are very rushed and I feel like they just want you out quickly to get the next person

Jamey Nelson Billing issues, people on the billing phone are helpless. No supervisors or anyone with knowledge other than saying "its already been billed correctly, I cannot look at it again. Its not eligible for supervisor review or code review" ... Optum has a history of issues, and more even causing lawsuits in other states, one of the latest in California. I urge you to read up on this before deciding to have your care here.

Frelima Dixon This place is Awesome, maybe not the newest facility but VERY Good people working in there who are sensitive to the family nature and have whats best in mind for the patients. They dont play no messy back and forth. If wayward family members are in there, causing disturbances and wanting to pull the plug over their patients, they will restrict that in order to continue to heal the patient and only deal with the spouse or if no spouse is present the next closest member. They will not allow childish family disturbances, which is a Peace of Mind they are so Awesome. This is not Palative Care, so there are no dying patients who are not expected to recover, they are very attentive with patients and skilled in their treatments, with patience.

Kenneth Stewart Ive been coming to visit my brother every single day and have had the pleasure of getting to know many of the staff on a personal level. Whether they are security, admin, cleaning, cafeteria, or medical staff, I must say I am overall pleased with the level of professionalism, care, cleanliness, and bedside manner that has been provided for my brother. There are always ways we can all improve and my only constructive criticism would be to allow for overnight visitors, as everyone deserves to have someone by their side when recovering so they dont wake up scared, or confused. In the time that he has been here at Kindred, he has made huge strides in his recovery journey. He is forging new neural pathways and relearning how to move his extremities and even recently he began tracking with his eyes following visitors and staff from left to right. He has begun squeezing our hand and moving his leg in reaction to getting his feet washed since he has ticklish feet. At the end of the day The Most High has the final say over my brothers life, but without the dedicated and professional staff here at Kindred, and those of us that love him, who are advocating for him, and are choosing to speak life into him, rather than death over him, his recovery journey would be much harder. If it be The Most Highs will that my brother lives, there is nothing that anyone can say or do to stop it. Thank you for your continued care of my beloved brother, may The Most High bless you for your labours in love.

Kameisha P Dont send your family here if you love them! My dad suffered cardiac arrest on 12/12/24. He was without oxygen for over 10 minutes and unfortunately suffered a stroke on his entire brain leaving him in a permanent vegetative state. He was transferred from ICU to Kindred on 1/19/2025. Ive been visiting my dad every week and on my last visit 2/27/2025 while I was literally crying over my dads body, I was verbally told by Jessica, the Director of Quality, that my dads wife restricted my visitation rights to see my dad. When I asked why, I was told that the wife doesnt want any medical information shared with me. Kindred threatened to call the police on me if I did not leave. I left very sad and confused. My dads wife has no reason to restrict me and is abusing her right as POA. My dad is now isolated from seeing his child and if he could talk he wouldnt allow this. Unfortunately he has a trach and cannot talk. Everytime I visited, his health is declining. His only movements are blinking which are involuntary as he is in a permanent vegetative state. He isnt responding to any commands. Its so sad. My dad isnt getting better and his wife has been lying to the family acting like his health is getting better when the only thing keeping him alive is his trach which helps him breathe and a feeding tube. Its sad seeing my dad withering away as hes lost so much muscle mass and is practically bones. Im devastated. My dads wife and Kindred didnt restrict anyone elses visitation ONLY MINE. This is selfish and unjust. How are strangers allowed to visit but not a daughter?? My dad is literally lying in his own feces with bed sores and with feeding tubes in his stomach, a permanent trach his throat and various infections including pneumonia and worse of all, he is in a permanent vegetative state. The doctor told me the chances of recovering are "slim to none"and he can die any day. All I wanted was to be by his side, now I cant see him and I dont know why. This WRONG! I think my dads wife restricted me for personal reasons and retaliation because Ive asked her friend Ken to leave while I visit my dad. While my dad was in ICU, my dads wife allowed this man to take showers in my dads hospital room and I thought that was weird and didnt feel comfortable with that while visiting my dad in a critical condition. Kindred isnt even providing me with updates on my dads health. This institution is awful for allowing my dads wife to restrict me for her own bias reasons.

Bud Bateman If I could give negative stars I would. I was a patient here last summer. My first feeling when I arrived on day 1 was "Im going to get killed in this place." The staff seemed very incompetent. Most of the staff was hired from overseas and barely spoke English. This is very frustrating to a patient with a trach who cannot talk. If it werent for my wife constantly by my side, I honestly feel like I would have died at Kindred- First Hill. Fast-forward to today. Now I am dealing with rude billing staff. I have paid in full the bills that my insurance has advised me to pay. However, the billing department is trying to strong arm payment. They have sent my account to collections despite my insurance telling them it is not my financial responsibility. I have been hung up on, yelled at, and been spoken over to the point that I cannot get a word in before they hang up. They have been screening my calls also. I have filed a complaint with the Washington State Attorney Generals Consumer Protection Division. I will never recommend anyone be sent here. I do not wish to receive your cut and paste response, but would rather someone from Senior Management reach out to me. My information is on file with the hospital. Ask Cindy since she wants to screen my calls.

Megan Mendel My mom stayed here for a couple of months and when I asked her, she said she would rate it 4 stars. In her opinion, one star is removed because night shift can be a bit slow to respond to call lights. But otherwise, the staff was very kind and attentive to her and she felt taken care of. The food was also pretty good. I agree with a 4 star rating and only removed a star on my end because doctors/providers can be slow to communicate with family members. Otherwise the staff is amazing and took good care of her.

Rosalind Marinou I have loved Dr Dao and her staff -- everyone in the office -- and made sure she and the office were in network for my insurance. She listens closely and treats causes as well as symptoms. She knows that I am not a fan of unnecessary procedures or medications and focused on exactly what Ive needed - not more or less. Im giving them 5 stars easily.

Karen Alvarez DO NOT GO HERE. Doctor Minh H Dao is sweet but takes advantage of you. I went it for a wellness exam and got billed an insane amount for a visit that should’ve been covered by my insurance. They misclassified my wellness exam. See other reviews about the same issue. They will try to suck as much money from you as possible.

Andrew Mak Extremely shady and dishonest. Avoid at all costs. I have full health insurance coverage and went in for a routine exam that went normally. I was shocked to learn their billing team billed me twice for a single visit with doctors Id never met. After escalating this issue, it took over 8 months for them to admit fault and they only slightly reduced their rate. Do yourself a favor and find an honest provider. Read other reviews as well. Im reporting this to Seattles Consumer Protection Agencies.

Anjali V I went to visit Minh Hang Deo for what was supposed to be my annual checkup and was surprisingly charged over $200. After weeks of contact with the billing department, I learned that the provider manipulatively went beyond the scope of the annual checkup without my permission (by discussing topics such as diet), which led to these charges. I will no longer be visiting this office and will be careful selecting PCPs going forward. There are other reviews here citing similar experiences and the legality of these business practices is questionable.

H F I just completed a GI procedure at the Polyclinic on Broadway and had terrific care. From reception, to nurse(s), to anesthesiologist, to doctor everyone was professional, kind and helpful. Everything from making the appointment, getting prescription, preparation/post procedure information went smoothly. My regular Swedish doc referred me here because he had good experience with them, and I can tell him mine was great as well.

Marissa Biggs Unprepared and rude. This has been a bad experience from the consultation, to the surgery, to post op. I’m experiencing an issue after surgery and my outpatient paperwork says that I can call my doctor at any time to speak to my surgeon or another one on staff. I called, and when I reached the Polyclinic, the operator was rude. They told me I did not have permission to speak to my surgeon and told me to just message on MyChart. I told them I have no available recipients on mychart so I’m not able to and they said they don’t have access to it and don’t have a number for me to call. Why give a 24 hour number on the paperwork if you “don’t have permission” to talk to your provider? They said they would leave a message with the surgeon but if I don’t hear anything by the end of the day I’m just going to urgent care and seeing another provider. This place is not worth it. And this is all just the tip of the iceberg.

Sarah Daniels I see Dr Han at the GI clinic and gosh, she is just the nicest and most thorough. Her nurse Angela is SO friendly! I’m really lucky to have found this office immediately upon moving to Seattle! The whole staff at Polyclinic has been wonderful for me. Dr Gladstone did my hemorrhoidectomy and was super friendly and attentive as well. Lab testing has always been quick and efficient with very experienced nurses. Zero complaints from me!

Records not processed at VM was told previously it was all shared digitally will not need to fill out anything, so they have my entire patient history. Not a true statement, so back to filling out paperwork. Finally taken back to room 40 minutes later. At 1130 told Were running late currently. Finally at noon I asked and told the Dr. is in a meeting and will be longer. I got up and walked out. Expect us to be punctual but they ate not. Sure did not have this issue at swedish think I will be staying there. 5+ hours of wasted time.

Amberley Deeds Like every department at Virginia Mason now, it took two months to get an appointment. I was supposed to see audiologist for a hearing test then ENT immediately after. Apparently when the scheduler booked it “immediately after” actually mean two hours later. So I never got to see an ENT. The audiologist told me the feedback I was getting from my hearing aid was my hair - I’ve had a hearing aid for six years, anyone who wears one knows the difference between your hair sounds and microphone feedback screeching in your ear. At the end of the hearing test I realized there was a second person in the audiologist booth and I was not told. Weird. Cut to regrouping with the scheduler and telling her I couldn’t wait two hours and needed to get to work: “are your ears not bothering you right now?” Well scheduler that is actually not something you ask me and especially not in a super condescending tone. I declined the reschedule and left. Finding any of the other ENT offices I’m calling can get me in in a timely manner and none of the receptionists are going rude. Bye VM, it’s been real but waiting 2-4 months for appointments is crazy.

Mary Allenbach Dr. Erickson is very thorough with examinations. I would definitely recommend her to others. I saw her last year and my son who is 26 saw her last week. One complaint - She scheduled him for surgery on his xmas break and asked us to call to verify the time Monday so we could buy a plane ticket from college. I called 3 times on Monday and the scheduler never returned my call. I am very concerned because it is the only break where he can leave college until summer and this is an urgent procedure he is having trouble breathing.

Chris Very amateurish. My new primary doctor referred me here. I have ringing in the ears. They had me take a hearing test and then to a Nurse Practitioner. They would not allow me to see a doctor. The first thing the NP said was that 8/10 people have ringing and that there isnt anything that can done to get rid of it...only to manage it. I had to ask if there was a possibility of one of my meds being the cause. She never asked. I asked if they had a list of meds that are known to have tinnitus as a side effect. She said she did not. I asked if any of my meds could be the cause. She said she didnt know and that she couldnt possibly memorize all the drugs that can cause tinnitus...that I would have to Google them. I questioned why they wouldnt have a list already. She got upset and said "alright, give them to me". She grumpily rushed through and found two of mine on her computer that have this known side affect. She made me feel like I was being unreasonable. Really? An experienced doctor would never handle this the same way. I asked to see a doctor and she said she was a sleep specialist....very unprofessional. My wife just went to Swedish for the same thing and after a hearing test, their protocol is to see an MD. I am going to Swedish from now on.

Meltem Aksu They gave me an appointment for a Dr confirming that she accepts new patients. 48 hrs before the appointment I got a "silenced" phone call that quickly went to voicemail that says the Dr is actually not accepting new patients and I need to find another dr. They didnt even apologize in their voicemail, now I dont have an appointment, have to wait for more than a month to maybe book an appt. with a dr that I dont prefer.

Sherrick Thuesmunn Unethical. My insurance (ambetter) scammed me by telling me this location has in-network primary providers. I went to this location to see my primary provider, and then got a $700 bill. When I called PMC to get some help, they just tell me theres nothing they can do and they arent contracted to provide primary care under Ambetter. They accepted me as a patient knowing this and gladly took my money. They got theirs, insurance doesnt have to pay a dime on an in-network office visit, and I get stuck with a $700 bill. What a joke and what a scam.

Julie Extremely difficult to get ahold of anyone to help you. The doctor that replaced Dr. Carlin is all business and doesn’t really seem to care about you as a person. When trying to refill a prescription it takes weeks or even a month even if your pharmacy contacts them directly. It is very frustrating to have to call again and again.

Jovany Johnson Horrible customer service. My name is Jovany Johnson and I tried to have my mother take care of some billing and other information for me since I work 14+ hours a day trying to get my own company off the ground and they told her they couldn’t tell her anything even though they had full written consent to disclose information regarding my visits since I don’t have time to do that anymore. I do not recommend them one bit. Horrible horrible horrible customer experience. They talked down to both of us making my mother cry over the phone. If you have to go anywhere, don’t go here.

Amy S An absolutely nightmare to work with the GI department at Virgina Mason. I saw Dr. Brandler and he hardly listens to you and touts that most GI problems are psychological in nature. He refuted that I dont have the symptoms of other diagnosis Ive gotten from medical professionals. He hardly let me speak enough to voice that I needed to be checked for a possible Hernia. His physical exam wasn’t more than 30 seconds. I also asked him to wear a mask in-office and while he said he would do this, the mask was off his nose most of the time. I was told I would get an MRI called in for me on Feb 3rd and after non-stop back and forth over something relatively simple, it’s now Feb 24th and I’ve gotten no response to my multiple follow-ups via my chart and phone. The front desk is unhelpful at best. The two times I called them a team lead or nurse was unavailable and I didn’t get any call-backs. I was told Dr. Brandlers supervisor was contacted and I still wasnt promised a call-back regarding the issues. I’m not sure how the GI department is even in business at this point, with how poorly things are handled and mis-managed.

M V So frustrating I have been calling once a week for the last three weeks just to have somebody call me back to schedule downtown. Apparently nobody knows how to schedule downtown or know how to call a patient back! So if you’re dying do not risk your life waiting on gastroenterology Virginia Mason !

Josef Blanc-Ridings They do not reach out and patients are required to prompt the hospital in order to start prescription renewals - including for critical, life saving medicine that may stop working if not renewed on time. Patient services will make sure that it is the patient responsibility to manage their own care, by blaming the patient. Additionally, Virginia Mason does not have a visible ethics board to report to, and patient services will not respond via phone. They will also not respond to requests to document this on patient health charts. This lack of service is incredibly dangerous for a hospital specialized in diseases that are oftentimes life-threatening. Do not trust Virginia Mason GI.

Sandra Benitez I have been trying to get scheduled for MONTHS now. I am considered a follow-up patient and each year it’s been a constant hassle to get me scheduled in, but this year is the worst. I leave messages, my PCP leaves messages and they do not respond back. I understand that a prior authorization is required for insurance, but when I call insurance I am told they haven’t submitted anything or they are missing supporting documentation. Dr Siddique’s staff lacks communication skills given I leave constant messages to which I NEVER get a call back. If they can’t/wont see me, then let me know and stop playing with my health so I can look for a new DR which at this point is what I should do.

Dan Arnett 20 Feb 2023 - 5 Stars I have numerous health issues, including 8 transplants. Ive had 35 operations in the past 15 years. The intake, pre-op, and my awake time in two procedure rooms today, as well as post-op care, was all excellent. The staff, nurses, and surgeon explained all accpect of what was going to occur. They listened to my questions and explained how the two procedures today would adjust to my unique health isdues. Ive had great, good, and bad experiences having major procedures and surgeries in the past. Todays experience was excellent.
