Crysss Dr. Nicole Johnson is by far the best pediatrician we’ve seen. My kids have gone with her for 5+ years now and we are not planning on changing that anytime soon. She’s caring, informative, helpful and always treats us amazing. Her assistant Shatoya … hands down one of the greatest, it’s always a pleasure going in and being treated by these ladies. They excel at their job, you can tell they love what they do by the way they treat us. Great teamwork from them. Sometimes the wait time can go for a little longer but it’s totally worth it ! 10/10

Grey Banana The staff are nice. The location is convenient. Unfortunately, I took my daughter here recently and they checked us in on time but left us in the room for over 45 minutes with no communication. Had to leave because I couldn’t wait there indefinitely. I was disappointed because to get an appointment with them takes ages. Next time I will have to budget for an additional hour after the scheduled appointment time in case they forget about us again.

William A. Smallis My visit went smoothly. My assigned medical team carried out my exam with perfect coordination and timing. There was no waiting between the various aspects of the exam. My records were updated, my questions answered and given advice was understandable. I was pleased and reassured by the visit.

Stephanie Abken The nurses get 5 stars and a certain doctor gets 1 star after telling me Im too hypersensitive after a gun shot when I have tunes coming out everywhere. I have a few surgeries lined up because of the gun shot and this doctor refused a pain management specialist! Also didnt give any bed sore bandages after I told him leave the large one on please. He didnt listen and took all of them off. My surgeons told me to go to my PCP for a referral for pain management bur instead all I got was Im to hypersensitive!

Love Juanè I hate to leave this review but I’ve seen Dr. Joel Carey 3 times, and each time, I was subject to discrimination and what I believe is a mixture of confirmation, perception, and gender bias. The reason for me actually leaving this review is because I’m truly concerned for other patients and the complaints against him need to be taken serious and truly investigated.
Dr. Carey has been beyond judge mental and he is the type to make your decision for you or leave you with no choice.
Two of the 3 times I have seen him, he has literally refused treatment to me due to his personal beliefs.
His mental health seems off to me. I do believe he knows medicine but I don’t think he knows how to separate his personal opinions and beliefs from work, which is NOT OKAY. His practice is unethical. I filed a complaint with Patient Relations but who knows what or if any steps will be taken to address his behavior.
*UPDATE/RESPONSE FROM CLINICAL CHIEF*
I received a letter from the Clinic Chief, basically confirming what I expected. The letter consisted of them pointing out my wrongdoings, addressing clinical policies, and warning me failure to comply with the policies will end up with them dismissing me from UW clinics. They never addressed my concerns (NO SURPRISE!). Nowhere in the letter did they provide explanation to the serious allegations I brought forth. I have researched patient reviews of this provider and again, I’m not shocked by the reviews patients have left. I’m not the only person that believes this doctor is unethical.
I will say this, the way I reacted during my appointment was a natural reaction. However, I do apologize for my behavior. I should’ve just walked out and left. My behavior was unprofessional but not to the point of being disruptive, as the letter falsely stated. Since I have the time now, I will not leave this matter alone. UW has shown me that serious allegations brought forth aren’t taken seriously, and they will not questions their provider’s behavior, patient care, and integrity.
