Heather Dalager I love this office and the amazing staff!! I have been seeing Dr. Lahtinen for 25 plus years now. They have always shown my family respect and treated us with dignity. From the office manager Terri who always sorts out any problem I need help with, the billing manager David who has always kept an open line of communication with me, our fantastic nurse Shannon who never misses a beat and goes over and above whenever needed and treats me better than any nurse Ive had in my 50+ years, the front staff Skylar and Kristie that seem to always be able to answer my questions and are always helpful, and Dr. Lahtinen that has always had the utmost care and compassion for my family, I wouldnt trust another doctors office to take care of us as a whole family. I truly feel cared about with all the staff, even when I wasnt always at my best, they were! At no time have I ever felt that my concerns were falling on deaf ears or that they werent taking mine and my families health as a priority. I highly recommend this office if youre looking for amazing providers!

katie jarman I would absolutely recommend this office to anyone. I have been going to this office for about 15 years. My doctor is Dr Lahtien and he is the best! The reason I Stay is because we are not treated like a patient. We are treated like family. every time I come in there my nurse Shannon or Stacy is there with the friendliest smile the warmest greet into the door. I have been treated so well there everyone is so kind and very helpful. Any issues I have ever had it has been handled right away and with such Grace.

Amy Grant Wanted to give a shout out to the recently departed Zach Stiles . Would recommend him to anyone looking for a medical professional who actually listens to you. He was the greatest getting me through my ongoing health issues. Staff here is also lovely with the exception of a nurse I spoke to on the phone when concerned about antibiotic interactions and side effects...she was brusque and condescending. I was very ill and not at my best and she left me questioning my choice to call. I shouldnt have.

Amy Searls Shanan is our favorite ever! She is always happy to help, and listen. Dr Lahtinen and Shanan have gotten us through several difficult years recently. My daughter has a challenging diagnosis and I am always able to call and ask questions.

Xavier Atkins Love my doctor, styles, but these people have such a problem refilling my SEIZURE medication, clonazepam, which I get SEIZURES if I don’t take on time, I have to make it a public issue. Happened several times, had to make emergency room runs for it. Honestly save yourself trouble and find another primary.

Timothy Powell I am perplexed at 2 of the most negative and vehement reviews above and feel obligated to respond to the attack on my character. I invite future readers to do 2 things. Type “Timothy Powell MD Spokane Washington” into a web browser to see over 1000 reviews with a 4.9/5 rating over several physician review corporations. Then specifically look at the Providence Health webpage for nearly 100 written reviews on me and our Epilepsy practice. I have never written a comment on my own review page before, never ever, and hope to never again. I have asked Google to look at one specific review on this page, reporting it as harassment and offensive. They will be making a decision as to whether the one specific review stays on this site. Please understand that I could not let such a personal and hurtful attack go unaddressed. Thank you for understanding and allowing me to do this. It is deeply appreciated. Tim Powell, MD

Kaylin Burnette Dr.Atkins prescribed me medication without taking knowledge of how it could affect my heart condition. Resulting in giving me another heart condition and putting me in a dangerous spot. Dr.Chen loves to cancel your prescriptions if you miss your appointment which is so completely and utterly dangerous to do to someone with epilepsy it is not okay or safe to cold turkey epileptic medication. Even my primary is baffled she would ever do something like this to her patients knowing the dangers of it…..!!! Do not…!!! Trust these two doctors…. I have to go to my primary and get an emergency refill on my meds and a new referral to a new neurologist again.!!!

Elle K I have only seen Dr. Manek here. Bad communicator and dishonest. To his credit I believe Dr. Manek has a decent scientific background. However he was treating me for one condition for years before I found out that in his notes he was suggesting I had a completely different condition all along. Imagine my shock! His notes even said numerous times that he’d informed me and I’d said I understood. He had not. To add insult to injury I had asked about trying treatment for this condition years earlier to see if it might help and he had declined. I worry this borders on malpractice. Fast forward years to my condition reaching the point of disability, it was far too late to find out his notes didn’t match what we’d discussed for years and to find out he thought I might have a different condition than what he’d been treating me for and what I’d been led to believe was disabling me. I had to travel to see him too and he made me come for appointments regularly so it wasted so many years of time and money. He also suggested numerous times I try other specialized clinics, even the Mayo. However, he’d make me look them up myself and if they were full and not taking referrals or needed a detailed letter from him he would not put in the effort to advocate for me so I could not get in. Then in his notes he’d make it look like I hadn’t wanted to go so my insurance would think I was refusing treatment rather than the truth which is that he hadn’t done his part. When I needed disability paperwork completed, I was told other doctors at the practice do paperwork but he doesn’t and asks the patient’s GP to do so. He’s busy so I believed it and defended his stance with my insurance and kept seeing him. Fast forward a year or two and he said he actually does do disability paperwork, he just didn’t want to do mine because I have a rare condition and it would be difficult. I’m very glad they lied rather than filling it out badly or something, which is why I think he has some empathy, but I was too naïve and never imagined such complete dishonesty from medical professionals. Unfortunately his note keeping will probably negatively affect my medical care for the rest of my life.

Christine T I had the pleasure of receiving care from the midwife team throughout my pregnancy, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. They were incredibly attentive, supportive, and always took the time to address my concerns. I felt comfortable and confident in their care every step of the way. Highly recommend!

J Rehm I have seen multiple providers here at multicare OBGYN and midwifery over the last 10 years and I have loved every single experience. From routine prenatal and postpartum care to yearly check ups I have never been disappointed. We recently moved father away and I will continue to make the drive to stay in their care!

Momofone Finally got a reason for the c section and they lied about what they did. These people cannot be trusted. Have been in contact with them since this last review and nothing has been done. They send me a letter monthly saying they are needing more time to look into it. All files are electronic so how much time does it take to pull up a file on the computer and have the doctor look at it? Would be very cautious with them. They took me on as a late addition. We had just moved here and I was due in 3 weeks. They told me they wanted me in a week early to induce. I went in expecting to be induced that morning only to sit in the room for 2 days with them trying nothing to pull me in for a C section the morning of day 3 saying that since I wasnt dilated the induction wouldnt work. I have since found out this was a lie and was used simply because they wanted another c section. They claimed in the OR the reason for it was failed induction. But how can you fail at something that you never even tried?

Tracy L I heard such great reviews.. in my visits never once did I get to hear the twins heart beats.. I told them about my gastric sleeve.. told to take aspirin , express my fears of epidural (this is my 3rd pregnancy) and I was told they place them just in case for a emergency c-section. Talked about natural or other ways then inductionand epiduralbut fell on deaf ears.... talk about not listening to your patient... I am trying to gain weight but so far 21 weeks 3 days in and only 6 pounds gain but babies measuring great... lectures on that need... I wont be back ... I will either find a new doctor or just wont have one .. but wont be this place ..

David Lewis I came here for a follow up on a heart procedure that I had at sacred heart medical center the week before. I was greeted quickly and asked to fill out paperwork . The staff was courteous and asked me to sit down and I would be seen shortly. They were true to their word. I was called in about three minutes. My vitals were taken and recorded and the doctor was in the room within 5 minutes. He treated me as if I was his only patient for the day. He answered every question and asked if I had additional concerns. You could not ask for better care. Thank you doctor Appel and your entire staff. Wish I could give you 10 stars. Thank you for having the huge American flag in your lobby area.

Mike Mohondro Great group of professionals and friendly staff. Though I am very appreciative I would comment that they are real slow on following up with test results. I’m still waiting on results of a Holter Monitor and it creates stress I don’t need.

Jean Linghor-Pittsenbarger They are the friendliest staff I have experienced. Kept us informed the whole time, worked hard to be sure my husband was comfortable before and after his procedure. I thank them very much. Dr Lubbe deserves a medal he worked tirelessly through many patients scheduled and emergent with no break. He still took the time to answer questions with great bedside manner.

Hilary Smith I really disliked Dr. Nancy Nichols. I’ve asked for a new doctor before I give up. The place really looks bad. I don’t know if it’s clean but it’s very shabby. There’s a huge pull in the rug right by the elevator that will trip someone. Good thing that elevator rarely works. Old hand written signs are taped everywhere. It does not look professional or cared for. The staff in the lab is fabulous.

Hannah Huggins Disappointed with the Lack of Care and Compassion I had a really disappointing experience with Spokane OBGYN. I was experiencing bleeding along with a positive pregnancy test and wasn’t sure what to do. Not feeling like it was an emergency, I called their office three separate times in one day in hopes of speaking with a nurse and did not hear back until much later in the afternoon. When they finally returned my call, I explained my situation, expecting some guidance or reassurance. Instead, I was told to go to urgent care just for a pregnancy test—something I could have done on my own. I asked if I could at least schedule an appointment in case things progressed or changed, but the person on the phone first said yes, then retracted the offer, saying they “wouldn’t know what to schedule it under” since my pregnancy status was uncertain. This was incredibly frustrating—why not just get me on the books and figure it out later? Even if it was just for peace of mind, some level of care and support would have made a huge difference. I had hoped this office would be a place I could turn to for questions, concerns, and guidance, especially since I had never experienced a possible miscarriage before. But instead of feeling supported, I felt brushed off and disregarded. Even though this wasn’t an emergency and I was still in very early pregnancy, I did not feel like I was treated with care, concern, or compassion—which is the bare minimum I would expect from an OBGYN office. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone looking for a provider who genuinely listens and supports their patients.

K B Made an appointment for an annual exam for 1:40 and was told to arrive at 1:25, which I did. I was called back around my appointment time, the nurse checked me in and was told to strip down to wait for my NP. It wasnt until 2:18pm that a different NP came in and said she would do my exam and then my regular NP would come in after. I had to pick my kid up from school at 2:40 and it is almost a 20 minute drive. The NP that saw me only did a breast exam (not sure why I had to be completely naked for this) and no pelvic exam, then my usual NP came in to ask if I had questions which I had ZERO time to ask at this point since I was already very late to pick up my kid. I scheduled this appointment with plenty of time to be seen and get to my childs school on time. I find it very unprofessional to ask your patients to come in 15 minutes early but your providers to be so behind that I wasnt seen until almost an hour had passed from my original arrival time. If you expect your patients to be early or at least timely, I expect the same professional courtesy. Im sure I was charged an upwards of $200 for this annual exam turned breast exam. I am overall very disappointed in the lack of care I received today, how late my NP was, and there being no communication about the long wait.

swilli4441 I can not say enough good things about my experience. Dr. Hechtman was my main Doctor but Dr. Ruth delivered our baby and they were both amazing. The nurses during and after delivery were so wonderful. I would recommend this practice to everyone.

Karissa Harris Do not go here, I would never recommend here for anyone, I was going to Dr. Ruth, I do not recommend, she’s neglectful, doesn’t care about her patients or their baby(s). She’s never available or they call you last minute to reschedule because she’s not available. Her CMA is also horrible, I’ve never had extreme low blood pressure and get my blood pressure taken every day by professionals in a clinic and I know my body she’s not accurate and very rude. If you have any previous medical issues I would stay very far away from here and this Dr.
1 /5
Heather Davis The absolute worst experience I have ever had at a doctor’s office. My first appointment I waited 20 minutes to be told my doctor (Dr. Ruth) was gone in surgery and to reschedule to a new day after taking PTO and almost 2 h off in total to be there. I waited an hour for a Pap smear the next Time. I then waited 55 minutes in the office past my appointment time just to sign a consent form for surgery. But she seemed good so I didn’t complain. Her incompetence and practice of care below standard were soon to follow that I will not detail at this time. RUN

Shiloh Reynolds I called at 10 AM and was seen same day. Upon arrival parking was not too bad and plenty of overflow. I entered the clinic and was greeted by the Covid checker who was nice and cool about it all. Receptionist/desk staff were more than helpful and answered my questions and directed me to where I was supposed to go and when without being rude or taking to me like I had an extra head or something. Intake/triage nurse was awesome and the doctor I saw was outstanding as well. They treated me with respect at all times. Had a biopsy done on my leg and it went smoothly. Doctor and nurses bed side manner was excellent as well. Really hard to complain when you are treated so well. I would recommend this clinic to anyone needing to see a Primary Care doctor or N.P. Ect. Always cool to see the parking lot security/attendants being deer.

Jay Dee The STAFF have been great for 6 years. No cancelled Appts, no mixed up prescriptions, no long waits. Dr. Meghann Stenersen has been my PCP for 6 years. She is the BEST DOCTOR I have ever had in my 64 years on earth. Dr. Meghann is kind, compassionate, calm and very easy to talk to and understand. She has helped me with a number of different issues and always respects my opinion and wishes regarding any type of treatment. I recently have been experiencing groin pain and other related problems. The initial thought was prostate or bladder cancer, but after blood work and a urinalysis, it turned out to be a Urinary Tract Infection which are somewhat rare in MEN. Dr. Stenersen called me from her HOME on Sunday Afternoon as soon as she got my lab results and prescribed a specific antibiotic. Within 24 hours I felt better, and all symptoms had improved dramatically. This level of COMMITMENT and SERVICE from Dr. Stenersen is unheard of these days. I would give Dr. Meghann Stenersen 10 Stars if possible. Thank You, JD South Hill, Spokane

Denise Mclain I had an appointment with Dr. Stenersen to transfer my care from another facility and she was amazing at my first appointment. Unfortunately, thats where any quality care ended. The anxiety and stress this office has caused me had been overwhelming. Poor treatment for my mental health concerns, no call- backs from my doctor, overly frequent follow ups required, prescriptions not refilled or refilled incorrectly or extremely late, hundreds of dollars wasted, countless hours spent on the phone and messaging, and in the end I finally asked for the office manager to please call me to discuss this poor treatment and have heard nothing. This office clearly only cares about robbing you and your insurance company of money and time.

Keri Elkins Typical in office wait is 45 minutes to see a provider, and Providence seems to be losing providers right and left (this is my third PCP and my children are getting their fourth new pediatrician at the Manito office). Providence has really gone down hill in the last 5 years. My biggest frustration is the long waits in office to see providers. They ask that you arrive 15 minutes early for an appointment when the doctor doesn’t come in for 45-60 minutes later.

Velieve Creations USA I left a message for a call back they don’t call. They claim I never called. The new primary residence doctors just refer you out they cannot even order standards blood tests or blood thinners. Waste of time to go here. Why bother going to school that long to get referrals for literally everything. With low white blood count they cannot even monitor that for long enough so I can feel comfortable getting a COVID-19 shot. Worthless

N M Three stars only due to the wait but understood because every person who came in beside us asked for a Covid test. Heather at the front was so kind and warm, she offered my partner warm blankets for her pain and water for both of us while we waited. She also kept updating us. Once we were brought back the nurse was less than warm, but under the staff shortages and pandemic I don’t blame her. The only sad part was my partner was in a significant amount of pain so a little kindness would have been appreciated. Once the dr came in he was fast and thorough, and sent us directly to Valley hospital due to the dire nature. The nurse who took my partner out to the car was very nurturing and kind. We appreciate the care.

Kayla Baroch Dont bother making an appointment because it doesnt mean anything at all. They claim its to "reserve your spot" but it doesnt. Their receptionist stated that if other people check-in before you, they get seen first. Which literally defeats the purpose of even saving a spot or making an appointment. This place is unorganized, slow and rife with incompetence. You know what they do send out timely? Your overinflated bill for garbage service.

Britt Elaine I would like to start off saying the doctors and nurses here are always amazing and super helpful. I feel the need to say this though because it made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I was going to the urgent care today and walked up to the front desk smiling and the lady working there looked at me with an angry expression and then looked away. So I walked up and she said something so I assumed she was speaking to me so I answered her not realizing she was talking to someone else through headphones. She then looked at me and said, “I am not talking to you and you need to take a step back, now.” Mind you, I am here because I don’t feel good and her attitude for this entire interaction was so rude. So I took a step back and another lady came over who was extremely kind and helpful. I believe customer service is super important (especially at a doctor’s office) and the interaction honestly just ruined my entire experience. Otherwise this has always been a fantastic place and I’ve never had any issues till this.

Tj I was trying to go to the other urgent care here in the valley and it was completely full so I decided to go to the providence one, the staff in the front were amazing, super nice and quick! Then I went into the waiting room. They started calling people back and then I noticed that they were now calling people back that came after me with just simple cold symptoms, now I crushed my finger in between a 20lb turkey and the bottom of my freezer… so hard that it broke a slash into my freezer. I was quite literally bleeding through my gauze sitting there trying not to think about the pain I was in. So someone finally comes out and says “tanka” and I asked her to repeat herself because sometimes my names hard to say but that is so far from my name considering there’s no “k” in it. Then the gentleman in the front let me know it was in fact me she was out there for, like come on man did you even actually try to pronounce it correctly. Then I get back there and she’s cutting off the bandage and she’s telling me I might have to take off my polish, at that point I let her know it was gel and that it only soaks off and she still told me to try rubbing these nail remover pads on my busted open bleeding finger and yes yes it did get into my cut, I went in for X-rays after that and came back to the next nurse bringing me Tylenol for my pain and she said it’s all they could give me, then when I started getting pissed due to the crap lack of care they then told me “oh and we also have Motrin” good to know they we’re purposely giving me crappy care at that point. After that all they said they were gonna do is rewrap it. I asked for a bandaid instead and as she was putting it on she squeezed my thumb, why would you ever do that I literally jumped up off the bed it was so unnecessary. After that I left with my discharge papers because i can offer myself better care at home. Oh and y’all’s sign that says “for when a bandaid isn’t enough” when you are driving in you should change it to “wasting your money and time to offer you worst care than you can offer yourself” lol will never be recommending this place even if it’s life or death I’d rather take the chance of losing someone to get actual care.

Jimmy Frando I had surgery earlier this year in March. I was scared and nervous but Dr. Horn and her staff provided such great care and made me feel safe and comfortable the whole way through, from consultation to post-op recovery. Dr. Horn was very professional, explained the entire process for me, and was very patient with answering my many questions. She did such an amazing job and I now feel so much better than I did before my surgery. Her staff were also very caring and very efficient with getting me checked in and going over my medical history and allergies. I am so thankful for everyone there and I would not hesitate to ask for their help again in the future if need be. Thank you again Dr. Horn and staff for your timely and professional service. Sadie Whitehouse I have had multiple surgeries at different hospitals, and my tonsillectomy at Columbia Surgery Center is by far the worst experience I have ever had. The lack of empathy, customer care, pain management skills, after care, literally everything was awful. I did not interact with a single medical worker in my time of over the phone scheduling to surgery to after care that was any help or showed any sort of care for patients.

Lindsay Hernandez All 3 of my kids just had their tonsils removed here, and though I will say the surgeon was amazing and the after care was amazing, I have to give a 1 star because the anesthesiologist traumatized 2 of my kids. They wouldn’t let me go back when they took my kids to give them gas to put them to sleep. I trusted that my young children would be in good hands and that the adults in charge would make my children feel comfortable. I was wrong. When 2 of my kids woke up the first thing they told me was that they got scared and tried to take the mask off and the “guy” (anesthesiologist) held the mask down on their face until they fell asleep. Now my children are traumatized, they will never forget that! How horrible and unprofessional! I’m absolutely disgusted that anyone would do that, and I can only imagine how many kids that happens to. Make sure you insist on going back with your children, don’t make the same mistake I did!

Chrissy Scott My daughter had horrible after care experience when she had serious complications. She was experiencing significant pain and bleeding. When we called the emergency phone number they stated “I don’t know what to tell you.” We took her to the ER and she had 2 ruptured arteries and 200 ml of blood in her stomach. She had to have emergency surgery to stitch both arteries, cauterize them and remove the blood from her stomach. When I called Dr. Malone’s nurse, Tonya, the following day, she was rude and downplayed the complication stating that my daughter did not have surgery, that it was a procedure. She would not prescribe more meds that the ER doctor recommended. A little kindness and compassion would have been appreciated. She was so out out that I called. Dr. Cruz the emergency surgeon that came to the hospital to perform the surgery was kind and continued to check on my daughter to make sure the pain was under control before going home Dr. Malone prescribed 3 ml of OxyCodone that didn’t touch the pain. I called Tonya a number of times to see how to help with the pain. Dr. Cruz made sure she was not going to be in pain once leaving the hospital. Please consider other surgery centers before going to Columbia.

C I recently had two hernias repaired by Dr. Horn, and I am so grateful for the incredible job she did, alongside the entire care team. The whole process a breeze, I recovered quickly, and Dr. Horn’s obvious knowledge and skill put me at ease from start to finish. Thank you!

Andrew Brasser I live in the tri-cities area but when I found out I had to have a triple bypass I sought out a second opinion. When they got me in right away to see a cardiac surgeon for the second opinion, I was put at ease and made to feel important. So when it turned out that I did indeed need to get the surgery I chose to go with Sacred Heart for my operation. I highly recommend them they are truly one of the best in the country.

Wendy Pritchard This portion of this review is for Dr Justin Reeves cardio thoracic surgeon. I will rate the hospital after. We cannot thank Dr Reeves enough for his dedication skill, professionalism and care. Dr Reeves is the utmost humble dedicated and talented surgeon in our experience. My husband had a complex case valve repair and Dr Reeves saved him from having a replacement and sternotomy at a young age which is not as good option if possible to avoid. He had his surgery and was able to leave within a couple of days feeling better than before his surgery. His recovery was very swift Dr Reeves checked on him daily and spent time to explain what he did step by step answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns with professionalism care and compassion. We owe a lot to Dr Reeves and his expertise and dedication. I would not hesitate to have Dr Reeves take care of anyone I love. The ICU nurses were outstanding in their standard of care and competence. We felt we were treated with kindness and utmost competent care from the team.

Richard Ragen This review is for my stay in the hospital and NOT the emergency room. While like probably most everyone, there are many places Id love to go before a hospital! With that said, the doctors, nurses, and assistants were ALL outstanding. They were respectful, kind and very knowledgeable. A special shout out goes to nurse Cathy on the 7th floor. She made me feel like a part of her own family from day one. While I hope to never return, if needed, this is where I will go back to. Thank you, Sacred Heart family! God Bless you all.

Isabelle Bledsoe Seriously I’ve been on hold for 30 minutes for the third day in a row. No one is answering the phones and no option to leave a voicemail. Providence you are failing our community with subpar medical services. Doctors are leaving right and left and clinics have long hold times on the phones. The office wait times can be up to two hours for a simple appointment. Our choices are limited here in Spokane, but considering I’ve been trying to contact your heart office for three days now regarding an appointment I could have easily driven to Seattle seen a doctor and been home by now! Negative star ratings should be an option.

Michelle Sablik These people are TERRIBLE! I was referred to them for a heart issue and instead of them contacting me for an appointment set up for referral, they wait a month and then send me a letter telling me to contact them and stating that they will hold my referral for 30 days before destroying it I attempted to call their number multiple times and they NEVER answer their phone. I sat on hold for over 20 minutes each time. I Googled attempting to find other possible numbers to call and there were none. I tried to email them at corporate, and filled out a contact request per their their website. NOTHING. Then I finally got ahold of a person in Renton only to find out that a) there was nothing she could do to help and b) they went ahead and cancelled my referral for no reason (per her and the notes) and to not schedule me. THEY are HORRID. God help you if you have a heart issue, they literally DO NOT CARE and WILL NOT HELP YOU!!!

Monique Ive had incredible experiences with Dr. Klein and his OR team. From start to finish I was kept up-to-date on what was happening and each person showed care. It couldnt have been better. However, attempts to contact anyone at the office is a nightmare. I have left numerous messages which Ive waited more than 5 days for a response only to have to wait again when the response doesnt completely address my questions. Ive also been calling throughout the day to try to reach a human. My provider has sent 3 faxes over the course of weeks and has gotten no response. Ive waited on hold for more than 10 minutes at a time for the past few days. Im annoyed to think that I have to physically go to their office to speak to someone about something that should have been able to have been handled with one fax to my provider. Exhausting. So unprofessional.

Cinny Considine This is the most unprofessional encounter I have ever experienced. After FIVE long phone call attempts to arrange a cardioversion for my fiancé with atrial fibrillation, NOTHING has been done. Shuffled around on the phone for almost an hour only to consistently be told “we’ll call you back”. I highly suggest finding another cardiology group possibly outside of Spokane because this group DOES NOT CARE

Faedra Hernandez My senior citizen mother was admitted to Providence Medical Center for syncopal episodes & discharged w/ an order for a Holter Monitor by a Hospitalist. It was important that she receive her cardiac monitoring right away, they were concerned she may have a prolonged QT interval. My mother called Providence Spokane Cardiology 2-3 times a week for 2 months to get an appt but noone at Providence Spok Cardiology called her back to get her scheduled, as an RN I investigated all missed calls she had, there were zero return calls from Providence Spok Cardiology. Imagine how scary & frustrating this is for a senior citizen. In the first dishonest action my mother experienced, they sent a letter stating they had been calling her & they had not heard from her, a complete lie that can be proven by record. I witnessed her call multiple times a week & I personally checked every missed call, the few missed, not them. I had to call & complain for them to get her in. Not only is it dangerous they did not get her in right away but this has pushed her so far back she may not receive needed cardiac clearance for upcoming surgery for her foot she can barely walk on. Joe whom never gave us his title, stated that if we received the Holter monitor with PSC, instead of Multicare Pulse Heart Institute, they would ensure she had her monitoring stopped with enough time for her to receive her End of Study report & for her to receive cardiac clearance for her surgery, no later than the day before her surgery, with a Providence Orthopedic Surgeon no less. We stated that if this could not be coordinated for her we would go elsewhere. Joe said it would not at all be a problem for staff at Providence Spokane Cardiology to assist my elderly mother in completing her monitoring early & they would ensure the coordination arranged. Since Prov claims to provide World Class Care, I assumed this would not be hard for them & that they were now making the situation right for never calling her to schedule her for 2 months to begin with, but I was highly skeptical & we should have left. The day after Joe placed the monitor on my mother he changed what he told both myself & my mother in front of a doctor in training. Joe stated to me, an RN, it is not his job to notify the ordering hospitalist of changes needed for my mother to be cleared for her surgery, that it was my job and he had no responsibility to assist us. She then developed a blister with her skin peeling off due to the adhesive, urgent care directed her not to put any adhesives back on at that time, so she had to remove the monitor early anyway. My mother was done with the poor experience all around & deeply upset by all of the negligence, dishonesty and blatant inconsideration. My Mom had to remove the monitor & go to urgent care on a Sunday. Both my mother & I called the next day on Monday to inform Providence Spokane Cardiology she had to remove the monitor, she was completing the monitoring then & wanted the EOS report processed in an expedited manner, so that she could receive cardiac clearance for her surgery, based on the days of monitoring she was able to complete. The people we both spoke to at Prov Spok Cardiology again provided false promises stating they would complete the monitoring with Preventis and ensure the EOS report was being processed in an expedited manner. Preventis called me 3 days later asking why the monitoring was off, Prov Spok Cardiology again dropped the ball as they never took any action to complete the monitoring by notifying Preventis to process/expedite the EOS.This would be the third negligent action involving a unethical tier inconsiderate dishonesty and serious inconvenience to both my mother & myself regarding vital care & coordination of care. 5 days before her surgery & at this point I honestly feel like they are providing negligent & zero coordination regarding her surgery schedule on purpose as I have a very hard time as a Healthcare prof believing their recept/sched/nursing staff are incompetent, they just play CYA, are unethical & unprofessional

T B I have never experienced a more horrible incompetence than this. We were asked to admit my husband via phone. Then to sit and wait. After five and a half hours later no word from anyone. Pacing and waiting in the cold open waiting area. They would call people back for EKGs or to have an IV in place only to be placed back in the waiting area for hours, some were there for more than 6 hours., coughing, bent over in pain, waiting for an open bed in the ER! It was pathetic and irresponsible to say the least. What has become of our medical system?

Willow Rose UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE STAFF!! i would give this hospital a ZERO if i could! my grandma is extreamly ill and in the ICU, she is scared, very sick and just had a major surgery. she does not need the staff and nurses here making her feel worse than she already is! The nurses have been complaining about her right infront of her door, where she can still hear! one of them denied her water while she was on the phone with my aunt and proceeded to hang up on my aunt so she couldn’t hear what was happening! i demand for this hospital to find out the staff that did this and hope that they get some kind of consequence for treating not only an elderly patient like this, BUT A HUMAN. the staff at this hospital has done so much more but i won’t get into it all. This experience for new young parents has been horrible. If a woman who has a c section has met all the protocols of displaying she can stand well and is able to see her baby is kept from her new baby for over 9 hours, then this hospital it’s the crappiest level of care I have ever seen for new parents. Train your nurses better or hire more compassionate and competent staff staff . Labor and delivery nurses here get a one star review . Do better !

Maddy Kessack Brought my grandson in for the second time in 4 days. Hes only 8 months old. Positive for flu, and a couple other issues. Hes severely dehydrated. I had to BEG for them to give fluids. They said they needed to check a test to determine dehydration when anyone with eyes could see how lethargic he was. It took 4 emergency room nurses and 2 ICU nurses to successfully be able to find a vein to administer fluids. 11 hours in, 9 pokes with a needle and awful bedside manner. Will not be returning

Jordan Twiggs I have to say with how many time I have been to secret heart for my child they have never changed my mind no one here cares about children or family only their pay checks I am so disappointed with the care I have received for my child one of the reason I did NOT have my children here and will not if you get a room in the picu you can’t use the bathrooms provided in the rooms but they will not put a sign up they rather come at you with an attitude telling you that you will have to leave the room your child is in to go down the hall to use the bathroom it is beyond help at this facility the nurses act like they know what is better for you child and they have all the answers but believe me when I say Spokane needs to have better standards for our children if we don’t stand up for them who will!!! Worst children care but sadly the only children hospitals

McRicks McRicks Communication needs to be better between the nurses and staff. Also, most of the nurses were awesome, but some were super rude. Bill, you made my daughter and I laugh like no one else-YOU ROCK. I can’t remember everyone’s names, but the nurse who worked the night my daughter had serotonin syndrome from zofran, and then an allergic reaction to Benadryl. Thank you. You had a clip in your hair.. and you helped my daughter through that awful experience… it was also traumatic for me, and you helped me too. I bet it’s hard to calm a parent down and also calm a child down, but you did it… and that takes skill. I have two stars for the lack of communication and for the nurses who need to up their game. My daughter was given meds, by the nurses, when a doctor wanted to hold meds. So communication needs to be better. Some of You made me feel like I was an idiot. My daughter noticed your rude behavior towards me as well. She didn’t need that drama. Please do better. Doctors who had many years of experience behind them were amazing and agreed with what I was thinking. And the nurses were mostly great, but some need to remember when you’re rude to a child’s parent, that child can tell and they don’t need that when they’re sick. They acted like my daughter had PTSD when really she was still recovering from the serotonin syndrome. She’s fine now. After having antibiotics, and potassium. Once she had the right meds… magically her “panic attacks” disappeared….. her shaking episodes stopped after she was given the right meds. My daughter, (who is 15). Even said she didn’t think they were panic attacks. I’d love to go into more detail, but I’m limited on my words here….basically, some of the nurses acted like they knew my child better than I did and weren’t accepting my ideas on what might be wrong with her. Instead they argued and gaslit. Luckily, the seasoned doctors agreed and my daughter got the help she needed, finally.

Alex Pelham They use predatory billing practices and are not transparent about what treatments they are "providing". I went in as a new patient needing a primary care physician because they said they were taking new patients and in my network. I expected to pay zero dollars because of my good insurance. I received a VERY large bill for two reasons: 1. They were not in my network 2. They use EM billing codes with the modifier 25 in excess, which allows them to bill for multiple consultations under one visit. I was billed for a primary care visit checkup, new patient intake evaluation, and diagnosis for a condition I went in knowing I have had my entire life needing physician for. I was also billed for smoking cessation counseling - not something I wanted or needed - which entails the doctor spending exactly 180 seconds explaining why smoking is bad and that you should quit. All of this was billed out of network. Using EM billing code modifiers is common, but this was intentionally deceptive. Upon protesting the $474 I had to pay in addition to my insurance company, they generously lowered the billing rate for the new patient evaluation by 80 bucks (sarcasm). Quality of the doctors service was not bad, except that he intentionally tacked on as many things as could be slipped into a bill for an annual checkup so it is hard to respect a health care provider in that case. The second star is because most people dont take bitter one star reviews seriously (myself included).

Irene Gammon Relatively few reviews here and most are several years old, so Im compelled to share my recent experiences. I find the Providence system, in general, to be forthright and fair. My experience with them spans two states and about 7 years. At Providence Family Medicine North I was able to establish care as a new patient in a reasonable time frame - this was something that I found surprisingly challenging when moving to the Spokane area a few years ago. My provider is Dr. Ryan Massoud; my experiences with him and his support team have all been positive. Fortunately I have few doctor visits annually, so when I do, I go in with a list of concerns. Both my intake nurse and Dr. Massoud address each item on my list thoroughly. I dont feel rushed and my questions are addressed until I feel ready to move on. The vibe is one of kindness and respect. Between appointments I have had great success in communicating with the team via the MyChart portal. Responses are quick and comprehensive. Wait times have been reasonable. I feel comfortable with and well-cared-for by this practice.

DAngelo Smith Never met a doctor so delusional as Dr. Klopsch. While he makes probably triple or even more of what I make (someone who is in the working class). he has the audacity to tell me to quit my job after I asked about the possibilities of being on limited duty because of my anxiety and migraines due to me putting between 70-100+ hrs a week (forgot to mention my pancreatic attacks as well). I love my job itself and the fact that my job includes benefits/pension…it’s my career but I need protection for my mental health as well as physical and safety. He rushed me out as soon as he could after making me wait 45 min for my appt, he didn’t care to see me he just wanted to talk about my anxiety meds. When I brought up this concern about my health and work he went on a tirade about how he was uncomfortable and that I just need to put my notice in and explained where the exit of his office was. It was so disheartening and made my wife cry after the appt. I do want to mention that Kelly Greives has been a blessing to other family members and I hope her outlook on health isn’t spoiled by the pompous and soulless doctors in that hospital.

Bobbie Schwartzenberger I am rather disappointed after my moms last appointment. We brought up a couple things to the doctor, and we got snapped at because of it. He could have said the exact same words in a different tone and it would have been better. Unfortunately, because we were snapped at and because the doctor and staff never responded to the message I sent afterwards, my mom doesnt want to go back anymore. I can only imagine the stress that doctors are under with Covid, and he may have been just as exhausted as the rest of us, but he should check the attitude at the door when he goes into work.

Christi Raunig My mom has been a patient here for years...unfortunately, her previous doctor at this office allowed her to get whatever medications she desired resulting in her being on 10 different medications. Weve gotten her off of all but one of those, but now she has dementia and managing her care with this team is close to impossible as they refuse to communicate with me regarding her care even though I have a medical power of attorney from her. They are also surprisingly naive about dealing with dementia patients, as they seem to think that they can just communicate with her and that she can manage her own care. I live in another state, so I cannot attend every appointment with her nor would she let me even if I was there as she is now adamant that she has nothing wrong with her despite two neurologists saying that she has Alzheimers disease. So, were in the process of moving her care to another doctors office that has assured us that they will communicate with me after each visit.

Janet Gillespie I have been a happy patient here for over 8 years, through good-to-horrible health. The entire staff has provided me with outstanding healthcare, follow-through, courtesy and kindness, in spite of my occasional poor health and accompanying bad moods. I am incredibly lucky to have Dr. Ulloa as my PCP, and her nurse Christina is excellent. The office has evolved over time to meet patient needs, in spite of the challenging healthcare industry and electronic reliance on record keeping. My close friend is also a patient, I referred her to Dr. Ulloa, and she is also quite complimentary of the practice. "Know me, see me" is one of the mottos PIM goes by, and they do. Thank God for this excellent influence in my life!!!

Branigan Perkins As I was in the waiting room, an elderly man walked in and was working on putting his mask on. The front desk lady(Laura) got very agressive with him about his mask. She practically yelled at him and told him to put his mask on before she would check him in...he was obviously hard of hearing and asked her to repeat what she said she again raised her voice in a very unprofessional and rude tone stating he needed his mask on because she didnt want to get covid. I felt very uncomfortable even sitting in the waiting room at this point. As he was talking his mask slipped off of his nose and she raised her voice again telling him it belonged over his nose...and told him she could refuse to help him if he didnt fix it. I know covid is a serious situation...but I think she could have handled it a lot better. All in all, I felt like she was out of line the way she was speaking(yelling) at this poor man. I will also note, they didnt have their mask rules stated very clear on any of their signs.

Little boy Doctors and nurses are very dismissive. When asked about whats going on with my health, the nurses always put in the wrong information on the computer, and then when my doctor walks in, I have to re-explain everything. And of course, when I do explain, theyre very dismissive and ALWAYS try to blame it on my diet. I tend not to get sick very often, but when I do, its very painful and abnormal in different ways each time. My doctor is always dismissive of my pain and has never prescribed me antibiotics once. She gets me to give her a review of my diet and then critiques it. Id say my diet is healthy, besides occasional snacks, but my doctor treats me like Im overweight (when Im definitely not. I weigh 120 lbs.) I am growing incredibly frustrated, and this makes me never want to go here again.

They act like everyone is there drug seeking and treat everyone with absolute disgust. The nurses are aweful, careless and outright in humane! the rooms were filthy. There was blood on the floor in my room and no paper on table I was to sit on. My gown did not have ties or snaps and there were stains on it as if it was worn by the last patient. Dr Smith was so short with me and his hands were dirty his stethoscope had blood splatters on it and was so rude to me I said excuse me, then he just left the room without finishing the exam. Nurses came in and told me I had 2 minutes to get dressed and leave the room. I wish i had gotten nurses names, it was straight up abusive the way they all treated me. This hospital and staff are terrible and should be shut down!

I watched them put their bare hands all over someone who warned them they had an active herpes outbreak. Dont know who the nurse was that wanted to tell me "if youre going to interrupt me I wont read these discharge papers to you" as if I was inconveniencing her over MY CARE. I watched you kick trash underneath a stretcher with no care. These people should not be in the business of "helping" others. Theyre careless, rude, incompetent. Ill just die at home instead.

Not only did they work hard to get me stable and prevent any lasting damage, they were all courteous, kind, respectful and very helpful. My privacy and various requests were honored, any questions I had were asked, and everyone - from the doctor on duty, to nurses, room service, janitorial, and just passing specialists would check in to see if I needed anything above and beyond the scope of their duty. This is my first time as a patient here, but I would trust them to look after me again.

Jenny S. If you want to be dismissed and treated like youre crazy for an invisible illness go here! Oh and dont forget the disrespectful, rude and condescending lazy medical assistant named Leah, shes a real winner! I will say that Dr. Fix had a kind and gentle bedside manner. At first, she seemed liked she genuinely wanted to help me. I have a very complicated case and moved out of state at the advice of my previous internist. I was treated in an acceptable manner (given the current state of our health industry) for the first few months until I was honest about my mental health and how I was feeling. I then was made to seem like I was "asking too much" and "this is the best we can do". They involved a social worker like it was a good thing. Sadly I only experienced more medical dismissal/gaslighting after that at a major hospital in the area. I then was forced to worry and wait for a "STAT MRI" because said hospital was down a machine. I had to endure five months of not feeling safe in my body waiting for my continuum of care after leaving the practice. Our Doctors are held to metrics like a retail store....fix the system by writing your local congresspeople and senators. Also, you dont have to stay anywhere as a patient, you deserve to be treated like a human being, not a number or made to feel crazy for having a hard time coping with your disABILITIES. Jennifer Daniels If I could give them zero stars I would. I understand that they are busy, but I went in with a very painful, swollen and distended abdomen. I was called back and put in a chair. That wasn’t even the worst part. It was a room with 4 other patients, and the poor woman next to me, that was only separated from the other patients with a thin curtain, was talking to a social worker about all the ways she wanted to end her life. When you have to talk to a patient about that heavy of a topic, you find a private place. That woman had to talk about it basically in front of 4 other patients and a number of other people in and out of the room. The complete lack of empathy and compassion was too much for me. I left without being treated because I just couldn’t believe they would be that insensitive. I will never go back there again. And on top of that, the bathroom was filthy.

Taylor Kensbock This facility is an absolute disgrace. My friend, who suffers from severe Type 1 diabetes, was admitted here for 4-5 days with no signs of improvement or proper care. During my visit, a social worker assured him that they wouldn’t abandon him and promised to provide the tools he needed to survive outside. Yet, the very next day, they discharged him with no support or assistance—leaving him to fend for himself, despite his pleas for help. To make matters worse, they falsely claimed they arranged transportation for him but instead left him sitting in a chair, helpless and vulnerable. The lack of compassion, communication, and basic human decency from the staff is absolutely shocking. This place is a complete failure and a blatant embarrassment to the medical profession.

Once I get my ultrasound done after 3 hours of waiting in the hallway in tremendous amounts of pain they told me I was dehydrated and sent me home. If I wasn’t being ignored or tended to for the 5 minute increments I was graciously given I was sitting there sobbing my eyes out. Found out the next day after having a feaver of over 100 degrees and crying to myself all night due to the pain that I had a kidney infection, it only took this new hospital/ER doctor 2 hours to properly diagnose me and give me the care that was necessary and the comfort to help my baby and I.
