C.J.M Dr Solari/Island Health first initial visit with me coming from a new state- he allowed me to tell him a brief history in my own words and how I wanted to apply my goals for the future. We agreed on the plan and checked to see what I needed now and in future. I felt well taken care of better than my primary who I had come from for the last 8 yrs. Dr Solari is a nice friendly man and his staff were efficient and friendly on all levels. I will recommend him to others.

Mandee Carrillo Dr. Ali Salari is an exceptional physician who truly stands out in his field. From the moment you step into his office, it’s clear that patient care is his top priority. He takes the time to listen to my concerns, ensuring I feel heard and understood. His approachable demeanor makes it easy to discuss even the most sensitive issues, and his expertise instills confidence in his recommendations. I genuinely appreciate his thoroughness and the personalized attention he provides. I highly recommend Dr. Salari to anyone seeking a compassionate and attentive doctor who provides top tier healthcare. My teenager was in his care and I have a recommended him to my colleagues, one of whom is now in his care.

Jessica-Anna Turner Dr. Peterson office here is top tier. First office where he truly sat and spoke with me, he even told me stuff about his life and we really connected. When I needed a PA on a med his office started the appeal process! I didn’t have to do a thing. I’ve NEVER seen that, honestly I didn’t even know the doctors office could do that.

Benjamin Kierulff Come here if you like your time being wasted. I arrived for my 9:30 am appointment. Only to be told my doctor was in a meeting until 11am, and I “should” have been rescheduled. I even received an email reminder for the appointment a week previous. A very frustrating experience.

Mark Borden This is a very smoothly run primary care practice. Dr. PETERSON is excellent, and I will be recommending him to my friends and fellow Physicians. He addressed my acute concerns after spending the time to understand them, and also covered the basic needs of a patient’s health maintenance in a primary care setting. He is obviously a fan of team sports, and a University of Washington affiliate. He brings the same solid organized approach to his medical care that he would bring to a sports team…A winning team!

C Tid Incompetent is too high of a rating. I worked in the medical field for 30 years. By far the worst experience Ive ever had. It used to be the best in the valley. Not anymore

Katie Hernandez I am so disappointed in Dr. Susan Jordan and who I spoke to on the phone this past week. I have never been treated so horribly until now. The lady I spoke to was honestly rude, right off the bat, before I could even get a word in edge wise. I was very polite. When she continued to be rude, I corrected her and nicely told her to please not tell me she knows what my circumstances are, and what my insurance does and doesnt cover; when I have spoken to my insurance, surgeons, and all the whole nine yards, about my circumstances for a long time now. My insurance will cover what I need done according to them, surgeons, documentation and everything else. It really boggles my mind that this lady I spoke to, was so rude to me every time I talked to her about things. It really was awful. I have NEVER been a bad patient, rude, or anything like to that to any of them. so for her to just drop me as a patient, it just doesnt make sense. I literally will never recommend anyone to go here ever again! Dr. Jordan, also, gave me a medication at the highest one a day dose, without even asking if i had worked up to that dose or even stopped taking that medication for any period of time. That was so careless on her part, as I as a patient, had NO idea I had to work up to that dose. It put me in a pretty deep depression for 3 weeks or so and had to stop taking the medication all together. It really boggles my mind, that, that happened. I would think, a Dr. would ask those questions without hesitation. She knew and knows that its not a medication I took all the time and or needed all the time. She knew it was a medication where I only took it as I needed it when I was dealing with some things in life and needed that extra help, so to speak. Anyways, I am really appalled by how I was treated all these times and am SO GLAD i switched Drs now.

jim guy I spent 10 years as an ambulance EMT, walk-in clinic medical assistant. I helped a large clinic in Bend, Oregon build a walk-in clinic from scratch. Id like to say that the clinics in which I worked were as good as Island Hospitals walk-in clinic, but I dont think we were. This facility is extremely professional, friendly and efficient. Ive never felt so well taken care of as I do as a patient there. It gives me great peace of mind to know my health is so important to such a wonderful group of people.

Barbara Gaffney My new pcp Andrea Riley took 8 months to get to see. I liked her a lot, but when I had some medical issues on 2 occasions, I could not see her and saw 2 different providers. Having inconsistent providers does not establish quality medical care. Because I did not feel heard or that my concerns were taken seriously enough I chose to go urgent care, once in Anacortes and another time in Mount Vernon. I am now looking for a different medical team where I am a person, not a number and where my pcp actually gets to know me.

Heather Bush Switched to Dr. Greene with my almost 5 year old and were content (annual well check visits). Now have a 10 month old son and have been really disappointed with his care. He doesnt do circumcisions - no big deal but he seems judgmental with every visit in regards to it. Ive ignored it. More recently I have been given information from him in direct conflict of what he has told me the appointment prior. Im also not interested in his limited training in lactation. If I would have listened to him I would have tanked my milk supply by now. Finding a practitioner who does a better job of listening. I dont expect to be special and remembered but maybe take a look at the chart before you enter the room to review the prior visit. Thats what I do with my patients in the ED and ICU. It helps.

Kari Geiger Unfortunately cannot speak to their quality of care; the scheduler was actively hostile to me about their lack of availability to establish care at any of their clinics. I’m not a proponent of the 1 star review life but wow, she was too mean and dismissive to even begin to enumerate. Hopefully you have found a provider you enjoy, if you’re new to the area or seeking a PCP, don’t even bother contacting this clinic.

Kevin Larson Poor communications, lack of follow through leave me looking for a new primary care. my experience has been particularly with Dr Eastman. Never felt like I was getting care to help me truly improve health just look for a new reason to write a new perscription that they wouldnt fill. I am definitely warning off those I know.

Kaitlyn Tom I’ve never had issues with this place until my 9 month old daughter got sick this week. I’ve been going here since I got pregnant and loved everything about the place. I called on Tuesday (she got sick Monday night. 102.9 fever, threw up 3x in the span of an hour, inconsolable crying, congested and coughing) trying to get my daughter in to see her doctor. I was transferred to a nurse who told me on the phone as long as she still had wet diapers and her fever didn’t get up to 105 to just keep giving her Tylenol. I called back more than once because I knew something wasn’t right only to get the same answers. Today is Thursday, I took her into urgent care this morning and she has a bad upper respiratory infection that caused BOTH her ears to get infected. I’m glad now that I didn’t listen and took her in anyway, I’m angry though that I was brushed off by the nurses when she could have gone in and been diagnosed within 10 mins. It would have saved her a lot of pain. I called to make a follow up appointment for next week to make sure her ears are healing and the nurse this time told me “If she doesn’t have a fever now, we usually don’t follow up.” I had her make the appointment anyway.

nina Kidd Dr. Young is a wonderful physician. She takes her time to listen to concerns and is incredibly knowledgeable about a wide range of health matters. Clearly she keeps very up to date on her research. I have never felt rushed at this office. Messages are responded to promptly. Front office staff and nurses/PAs are also very friendly.

sandra bennett I have been seeing Erin Mallory for some time as my primary care person and appreciate her thoroughness and the genuine concern she displays. An added bonus for patients needing to visit is how pleasant everyone is at this medical facility.

Eileen Robinson We have gone to Island Internal Medicine for more than 20 years. Since Everett Clinic took them over its horrible. Wait weeks and months for a visit. Yesterday my husband, who is sick, showed up for an appointment hed waited for weeks for, and had been canceled once already by the clinic. AS HE STOOD THERE THEY CANCELLED HIS APPOINTMENT!!! They said they no longer take his insurance! They knew his insurance as hes used it there for years. They didnt bother to tell us they stopped taking his insurance. He signed a waiver to pay out of pocket but they still canceled his appointment! They cant keep PAs on staff so its someone new quite often. So, his appointment yesterday would have been a "new intake" visit because of their need to assign him another PA, and charge him $495 for the visit! There are over 20 years of chart notes available for any new provider to review before seeing him. He did not ask for a new provider so why should we pay for a new one? It seems like a racket to get extra money. It also seems like there should be a review into why they have so many PAs leaving. Its a problem thats being passed down to the patients. A new intake visit is not normally one that addresses problems. He needed to be seen for problems. The management was notified to contact me about this but guess what? No call!! Surprise! Looking for new healthcare provider is causing needless delay in getting the help my husband desperately needs. Thanks Everett Clinic soon to be Optum. (Id change my name too so people will be confused as to who you are!

Todd H. Normally I don’t review things like medical clinics but I was very disappointed with this office and the supervisor has not returned calls to hear my concerns despite several messages. Most staff were great but the doctor I had was not good and borderline unethical. Aside from the jeans and a tee shirt which just caught me off guard (normally expect a doctor to dress nicer than the patient), I was very disappointed in the lack of bedside manner. In fact, this annual physical was so brief (incomplete) when he walked out of the office without so much as a “thank you” “good bye” or “have a nice day”, I wasn’t sure if he was coming back to finish. So when I reviewed the charts/notes after my visit, and his comments indicated he performed exams that he simply did not perform I was pretty shocked and disappointed. Time to find a new doctor.

Allison Lowber The check in desk staff was super friendly and commuted kindly. The med assistant was clearly a hard worker and very thorough. And my PAC was also very thorough and kind. Taking care of things for me that I had no idea needed to be addressed. I love having access to this kind of care on the island (away from where I work) and think its a great facility.

Darren Guth No room that sick people haven’t been in. Why not two rooms. One for flu symptoms one for non. But no. Also I couldn’t stand right outside med room while waiting for doctor. Had to sit in germ room and she closes door. Rude and obnoxious. I said so non sick people have to be in a room where you just had flu people so you’re spreading the flu and she says it doesn’t work that way. That’s EXACTLY how it works. Ridiculous!!!

S D “animalover” HORRIBLE. DONT BOTHER. On a Sunday, I called to find out how busy it was, could I make an appointment, and are Sundays worse than Monday. A 30 second call. I was slammed on hold - 12 minute wait. Called back - 10 minutes on hold. . Called a 3rd time, yelled NO before she could slam me on hold - didnt work. Called back a 4th time- yelled NO again - she said "Maam, Im the ONLY ONE HERE AND HAVE A LINE OF PEOPLE". ONLY ONE PERSON ON A SUNDAY?? Obviously, staffing is BADLY handled. Obviously, she couldnt figure out how to ALTER TAKING ONE PERSON IN LINE, THEN ANSWERING A PHONE LINE. CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT KIND OF CARE YOUD GET? In conclusion - it is NOT an E.R., they dont have emergencies coming in, and someone with a cold can wait for a couple of minutes.

Riley Logan THIS IS NOT AN URGENT CARE! Even though it is listed as one, it is not. The front desk was lovely. I had to wait a while despite only 1 person ahead of me, but I give a star for the front desk and that there are separate waiting areas depending on illness and whatnot. The medical assistant I had, Tiffany, was very nice too. The issue comes with the doctor I had (Carlisle? Something like that). I went in because I’ve had a headache for 8 days that is much different than my other headaches, and I started having dizziness spells. She did not listen at all and did not seem to read the notes the medical assistant took at all either. She didn’t seem to believe much I said and pretty much didn’t listen to me about my symptoms. No empathy at all. She told me that because they aren’t an urgent care, there’s not much they can do because “walk ins are meant for colds and sore throats, not much else” (which is true, but how she said it wasn’t so nice lol). I also received no summary after, no information about a shot they decided to give me, etc. and then because I had no information about the shot, I feel god awful from it and spent a while trying to find it on the internet to figure out what was happening. I hope other doctors, PAs, or NPs that maybe work there are a little more compassionate. I understand the system is broken and doctors are often overworked, but dang, girl. You still have to do your job well.

Susan Hosmer 30 yrs chronic sinus infections, 2 surgeries, numerous ENT visits. She didnt hear a word I said about my aching teeth for 3 weeks, facial pain, head ache, and cracking voice. Had I waited 10-14 days as the recommended length for a sinus infection I would have sinus swollen shut and no voice. We were both angry when I left, she issued 5 days of antibiotics my normal is 10-14 days. Very unsatisfied.

Ness I was seen Friday morning 7/12 and the medical assistant was nice but she was the one trying to diagnose me and order tests. The nurse practitioner spent less than 5 minutes in the room and told me she would call with my test results (may take up to an hour). I didn’t receive a call that day, and called back the next day. The person who answered said a nurse would call me back with the results. I never received a call about my results and just checked the portal online. I would not come back here for any care again.

Casey Wilson Well to have a doctor question a patient what do you want from us , what do you want us to do, this is an emergency room and what you have isn’t an emergency-Especially before running any tests that were needed to rule out any “emergency” speaks volumes on how non compassionate this doctor is. Doc, please work on your approach and try to listen instead of interrogating your patients like they are drug seeking or not worthy of medical care. It’s not even the doctor in you, it’s the person in you. I don’t know your mother but I think she forgot to teach you that kindness is free! Maybe try some care and compassion to go with your MD…

Alysse Mills Rude staff and horrible wait time! I couldn’t ask one question without attitude!! How can you call yourself and emergency room and make the urgent patients wait over 5 hours! Do not recommend, the only way you’ll see a doctor is if you get an ambulance ride.

Marcus Turner Less than one star. As a medication technician I am embarrassed to send people here. M.S. patient sent home within hours of arrival. PT and I expressed concerns of neurological changes at check in. This is not acceptable. Do not send people here!

Tay Pretty disappointed. Ive been here twice now because of issues with my heart; I fit all the symptoms of a heart attack and they just look at me like Im imagining everything. They ask me, "what do you think we can do for you?" You spent 10 years becoming a doctor for me to have to tell you what I need as someone with debilitating chest pain, fainting, and palpitations? At the very least Id expect some concern or reassurance- I didnt even get a blanket, and the tech took off my blood pressure cuff and forgot to put it back on. If I died at home from a heart attack, theyd probably end up saying "if only she had come to the emergency room with those symptoms", yet when I get here they look at me like Im just an inconvenience (Im one of two patients).

Cathy Williams I had an awful experience at this ER, multiple tests done without my consent. No diagnosis. Admitted without my consent. Advised to go to inpatient psychiatric treatment for what later turned out to be a medication interaction issue. It was the 1st and only time Ive ever left a hospital AMA. I see most of the responses on here advise people to contact the quality dept I was told the same thing. I called them and got their voicemail, left a message and never received a call back. Thank goodness I live on Whidbey so if anything happens to me the ambulance will take me to Whidbey General where I have been before and received excellent care. I love my primary care Dr. at Island Health but wil never go to the ER there again. 0 stars do NOT recommend!
