Internal Medicine at PeaceHealth Cordata Main Clinic - Bellingham (WA)

4 /5 Woody D: I have been going to Peace Health Cordata for close to five years. It can be a little challenging at first, but once you are established with the organization the experience is pretty good. My wife and I have a primary care physician (Mohammed Mohiddin) who I would rate as one of the best doctors I have had in my 65 years on the planet. If I need to get in to see him it will take a little time, but he and his staff respond pretty quickly to emails through the PH portal on the My Chart app. If I have a pressing problem, I go to the walk-in clinic on the first floor. I have always gotten in quickly and the care has been excellent. Question Diagnostics has two locations in the building. If they were like my Kaiser in SoCal and had a pharmacy on site, it would be a one stop shop. They do have a good coffee place on the second floor of Cordata though, which is great for getting a caffeine fix after a fasting blood test. Those dreaming of the days when you could get right in with their doctor must be older. Being one of those people, I can say…those days are gone EVERYWHERE! The U.S. has one of the most expensive, yet underperforming medical systems in the world. To top it off, very few new doctors want to be family doctors because the pay is lower than specialist and like most reviewers here, patients tend to be unsatisfied….at least that is what the three doctors in my family tell me. Peace Health Cordata does a pretty good job, particularly when compared to specialists like cardiology. They are booking appointments three months out.

1 /5 Margot Schwamb: I cant even schedule a first appointment as a new patient. Verizon wireless answers stating that the phone lines are busy. I guess all my research on those particular physicians was a waste of my time. Looking elsewhere...

1 /5 Phoenician Beaux champ: No customer service. My mother developed a UTI after her back surgery and needed to provide a sample for testing. Unable to travel for 2 weeks—Dr. Garo’s office NP called to let us know that I could come by to p/u a collection kit. When I arrived, one front desk woman was sitting at the computer and told me to wait, that someone would be with me and went back to typing on her computer. Another woman came from behind the wall and asked what I needed. I explained the phone call to her, she replied; “…we don’t do that here. No NP would tell you that. Take your Mom to Quest and they will help you.” After explaining to her my mother just had back surgery and doesn’t travel for another week, she said “then it’s going to be hard to get a sample from her.” I took a chance and went downstairs to Quest, and they gave me a collection kit. What has happened to customer service?

4 /5 Gary Lindsay: There are about 20 internists at this location. They are understaffed with regard to answering calls and messages to the medical team, sometimes taking 45 minutes to answer the phone and weeks to reply to non-urgent secure messaging questions, but do their best once you have their attention, and the doctors are friendly and as competent as one can expect.
