4 /5 Lhorna: I like to shop at Safeway, but what I do not like is the digital downloads. I also do not like it when I am treated poorly in response to insisting on the sale price of items..
In regards to the digital download sale coupons:
When I spend the time required to hunt down a store’s digital download coupons and scan them in, then and getting them entered into the store’s required application on my personal device only to have the scanner at the register not scan the sale price it causes me to become flustered and turns a pleasant shopping trip into an experience marinated in pure frustration. .
I wish stores like you, Safeway, would just have all of your sale prices in one spot. Like if you have a rewards program, and all of you chain grocers do, then just put all of your coupons for goods on sale in the same one spot and attained in one single forma (clipped is nice) because I do not feel like going on an entire treasure hunt for fifty cents off. of anything and I dont have the budget for surprise sales once I am already in your store. So I have to have a plan and a set budget if I spend the gas and time to get there —which makes it difficult to budget and maximize the shopping trip —since I do not know what the total is going to be.
In any case, During my shopping trip at this specific Safeway on Friday the cashier almost over charged me for 4 out of my eight things before I caught the fact that the items did not ring up the sale prices correctly. This led the cashier to behave as if she were extremely put out when I had to insist she ring me up with the sale price. Even after correcting my own order she managed to over charge me for one of the itrems I had pointed out to her. —which meant I had to drive back to the store as it was a five dollar difference. She was not very professional during this encounter as she kept apologizing to the people behind me as if was my job to program her register. I also feel as though she should familiarize herself with the sale prices her employer is offering. This way she can avoid potentially overcharging someone repeatedly like she did to me. I am still giving four stars, vut not to her —it is just that I have shopped at Safeway regularly for decades and this was the first time I got an overtly rude and quasi incompetent cashier…. all lot the other store staff I have encountered over the years really know their stuff and are super professional. or Safeway It makes it very difficult to be prepared in the store
