Steven The University of Washington is one of the best Universities around. I did not attend the school but have gone there to listen to lectures on how to become a Physician Assistant (PA). I also attended the Washington Motorcycle Safety Training on the campus parking lot. The university is huge and beautiful! The university has a nice stadium on the southeast corner of the campus. In addition, the Liberal Arts Quadrangle, better known as the Quad, is my favorite place to visit at the University. There are beautiful tall buildings there surrounding Cherry Blossoms trees. What else? Peaceful, beautiful scenery of the students walking. I love the University of Washington.

Maxwell Brooke I know we love the cherry blossoms, but everyone please remember, THIS IS AN ACTIVE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS. People are going to need to go to class. So I would encourage you to come later in the day, so students are not needing to get past you. You can also enjoy the sunset with the cherry blossoms if you do! -One of the students.

Raunak Mahalik We visited the quad during the cherry blossom bloom. It was a pretty sight to see and I would definitely recommend folks to visit this place at least once. They have decent parking available and it’s not very far from the light rail station so commuting isn’t that difficult.

Ryan Ratliff Returning to school was one of the best decisions I’ve made, and I’m so glad I chose Pima Medical Institute. From the start, the enrollment process was smooth and accommodating—I was able to sign up for morning classes that fit perfectly with my full-time work schedule. The instructors and staff have been incredibly welcoming and supportive throughout my journey. The instructors are not only knowledgeable, but they also bring real-life experience into the classroom, which adds a lot of value to the learning process. Pima offers a variety of tools and resources to help students succeed, and I’ve felt well-supported every step of the way. I’m excited to take my first steps toward becoming a medical assistant after graduation, and I truly feel I will be prepared thanks to the education and guidance I’ve received here.

G J I’ve had a lot of issues with the staff and faculty at this school. I am taking it because I have to but if you have a choice I would not recommend this school to anyone. After coming from a different amazing community college the stark contrast is appalling. The lack of community here is very sad and hard to be apart of.

Tony Bouta Many teachers, with some notable exceptions, dont care about their students or their jobs. Complaint issues with students is handled incompetently in my experience, I dont personally feel safe trusting my academic career in the hands of some of the staff that works here. Figure out professionalism. Had interpersonal issues with another Vet there, who I debate to name, and she reported me to the school. What she told them exactly, I was never told. They handled it by trying to tell me not to make use of the veterans lounge resource and essentially ostracizing me from the veterans community there. I live alone and have few connections to family so the lounge was one of the few places I could have social interaction in a given day and the whole, needless to say, added some serious undue psychological stress to my studies. I walked on eggshells at all times while on campus, stayed away from that area for multiple quarters out of fear of academic consequences. I was unable to attend some regular events and interact with some clubs and communities to the depth I would have liked because of these issues for fear of running into her by mistake and my degree being in danger. Even after it was shown that she falsely reported me, the damage was done to my life and the 2nd half of my time there was much worse than the 1st. They rewarded her by giving her a job. I dont claim to be perfect in the situation, but I know that I dis my best to treat everyone with respect and particularly in the vet lounge, to try to treat people in a way they could feel safe and welcome, not only because many vets end their own lives due to not being able to connect to others but also because I know what its like to not to have that. Advisors are great though in my experience. Couple professors here for some important math classes are pretty bad which puts a big hamper on meeting grad requirements due to either a gatekeeping attitude or just pure apathy, not sure what it is but they need to figure it out. This is a community college, where people with jobs and real lives come. You need to get your head out of the clouds. Pretty decent gym, get some bumper plates in there. 2 stars because at leat they gave me my degree in the end, after no small amount of obstacles. Edit: updating this 5/21/25 to add details

Alice Lee I took CS classes here and was fortunate to have great professors. The CS program is still small and relatively new, but the professors and the support team genuinely care about students and do their best to help you succeed. The class quality is excellent. Some of my classmates are here to start a new career journey, while others had to pause their studies due to financial or family reasons and are now restarting their path. Some have already achieved success in certain areas, and others are carrying heavy burdens as they pursue their dreams. I feel truly grateful for all the support and help I’ve received here. That said, if you’re looking for a traditional college experience—making lots of friends, joining clubs, or dating—this might not be the best fit. However, if you work during the day and want to learn new skills to start a new career, it’s a great place to begin. If you have rich parents and are expecting a “dream college life,” you might want to look elsewhere.

Eric Le Being a veteran I do not feel this school cared about my needs to go back to school. Staff never once emailed me back when they said they would. I even went in person to submit my transcripts and I still haven’t heard a peep from anyone. I get that the state is a liberal state but wow that’s how you treat veterans around here?

I live on their campus with many trees and plants, especially their beautiful and gorgeous Arboretum and Seattle Chinese Garden. I would recommend these two famous locations to anyone

Hanny Nikawa I dont understand the housing rule, if you live near Campus you should be automatically exempt from campus housing, but no. You have to apply for exemption and take few weeks for housing committee to decide. What a waist of time.

Viktor Nikiforov If you are considering attending here full-time and on campus, PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO A DIFFERENT SCHOOL! This school has truly lost any and all qualities that originally drew me into picking it in the first place. Professors are extremely hit or miss- some absolutely ruin a class for you, not caring at all if you pass or not. Some do not even use the platform dedicated for all of the coursework, and are unreachable by email or take a week to respond. Throughout the entire time that Ive been here, they have raised tuition every year, and by 8.44% in the past 2 years alone. There are continuous budget cuts in every department and club, and lowered student meal plans by over $200 per quarter. Facilities are often left broken for weeks without repair, even ones that are necessary for physical accessibility. If you have housing accommodations or need to be in contact with their department for any reason, forget it. They will string you around and redirect you back and forth until you give up. The financial aid department is also notorious for not giving a damn about any students financial hardships, even allowing some to drop out because they were a couple hundred short for that quarter. They tried and failed to cover up the major flooding in the Murphy apartments due to faulty water pipes/insulation. Students that were relocated for almost 3 months were given extra MEAL PLAN allowance that wasnt even usable since it expires at the end of every quarter. The on-campus security is just decorative at this point, there are a bunch of homeless people that loiter around campus and even harass students sometimes. The only parking garage has carjackings every month, it is entirely open without any regulation or security managing it. But do feel free to attend this school if you dont care about the following: price, safety, campus life, visibility, internet access, professors, dining options, facilities, or education quality.

George Hennen Red Flags to Note: 97 percent success rate. (means they kick people out) It takes too many clicks to find the tuition (that is 55k a year) They let you sign up for some other sight to "calculate price" which is abnormal. Almost every other review here is a reflection of the school and its quality. Note: I have not gone here, but I looked into going here. It feels like a giant trap that I bet parents push their kids into. School should cost at most 5k a year for just the learning.

Imani - not only is this school cutting out many majors but they’re not letting students finish their degree’s, and have yet to explain why we are unable to finish them. This is leaving many students flustered with no where to turn, we haven’t heard back how much longer they will allow us to study here under our intended majors with very little time to apply for Fall classes at any other university. highly unprofessional on the dean and board of trustees behalf. i would not recommend to ANY future students you never know how much longer your major will last at this school. 0/5

JJ Schwitters I graduated from SPC (SPU) in 1974 and the cost was $3300/year included room and board. God provided for me. The costs of SPU today is sinful and full of glut. All endowments should reveal their expenditures every year as a public statement showing HOW it helped individual students. Higher Education has to change from top down. Consider less costly online courses to fulfill requirements. In the school of nursing, consider a years long specialty course which gives certification. Make changes and make education affordable, trimming off all unnecessary glut.

Nam Nguyen I just got accepted into Seattle Pacific University for Computer Science staring Autumn 2025. Id like to say that I personally chose this school over others precisely because of the Christian Faith. I was never a fan of UW Seattle despite it being in the top 10 CS rank of USA. This is because I believe that education first and foremost should answer the innate human desire for purpose. I believe that this faith is necessary to foster national unity and progress. Theres a value of the spirit that transcends the material value and the result of any endeavor isnt decided by the material value alone.

Brandon Grout I received my MS in Project Management, and my experience was great. The teachers and staff were understanding and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this school to anyone.

Savanna Kraft Save your money and find somewhere else to take classes. My first class wasnt awful but second class is a bloody disaster. Im transferring out ASAP. Ive had to complain and complain and email and email more than I should ever have to get the right information, its been a complete disaster. I cannot believe that I paid over $2,000 for this crap excuse for a class. I could have done just as much good learning on my own by reading the book and doing all of the quizzes in the book.

J W I was apart of this program in 2016 so take my review and be sure to ask the right questions. I came into this program with enough of a Computer Science background to get by but, from what I saw, it doesnt matter. This school is COMPLETELY unprepared and during the time I was there everything was unorganized. 1: My Discreet Math and Data Structures course was taught by two gentlemen and, by all appearances, appeared that they were friends of "so and so" and were asked before the semester started, "hey, do you wanna teach this class?" Halfway through the course, they switched things up because more than half of the class wasnt doing well. At the end of the semester, the two teachers basically gave everybody As and Bs. How do I know this? They announced it before the final. What a joke. 2: This school isnt a full blown University but just a sister location with the same name as the college in Boston. Its a two story building. I personally enjoyed the building as there are plenty of places to sit and code with wall to wall white boards. Theres definitely plenty of room for students to interact and code. 3: I honestly feel bad for anybody who is at this school now and wasnt there for one of the teachers named Theo. He was, by far, the greatest teacher and mentor Ive ever known. He knew exactly what he was teaching, how to teach it, and every day was planned and well thought out. He was tough, direct, and could be a little intimidating, but I found him to be amazing and the only reason I stayed as long as I did was because of him. I honestly felt that he genuinely cared about his students and if you were one of the ones trying your hardest (like me), then he would do the same for you. His methodology for teaching and how he would hammer into us the idea that you shouldnt just write code, you should design it, influences how I code today and Im so thankful that I was able to meet him and enjoy two grueling classes with him. I hear hes not there any more and again, I feel bad for any students taking the program that wont be able to benefit from his teaching. 4: Parking isnt fun and when I was there they didnt have a section for you to park if you were a student. Im a veteran and they didnt even have any sort of hook up for me in the parking department. Either you got there early (like me), you got lucky, or you lived in the area and you just rode a bus. 5: For transparency, I ended up leaving the program because I knew I wouldnt be able to complete it. The material goes by so fast and I just wasnt ready to handle it all. Theres a huge vibe in MSCS program to "get you in and get you out to a job" and I didnt like the idea of be churned in and out like a bunch of robots on a factory belt. I wanted to actually understand and know how to do well in my field....not just get experience and a piece of paper. Most of the other students were either a lot smarter than me or didnt care about that aspect. When I left, the school tried to put on the transcript that I was kicked off the program...probably for tax reasons as veterans give colleges special perks. All in all, I left the school mentally exhausted, displeased, and feeling like the entire thing was a scam. I was kind of happy to find out that Theo had left the program and I sincerely hope hes doing well as well as the classmates I left behind. If you were to ask me, "Should I do this program?" I would tell you no.

Steve Court I recently graduated from Northeastern University - Seattle, with an MSCS. I was in the first ALIGN cohort for the computer science program, which began in the Fall 2013 semester. The ALIGN program is tailored for individuals with non-CS undergraduate majors. In my case, I was a mechanical engineer with a background in the aerospace industry. The Seattle graduate campus encompasses two buildings in the South Lake Union neighborhood of the city so does not have the traditional large university feel. However, for me, the relatively small size promoted a friendly, almost family atmosphere between the staff and the students, which I really enjoyed. The staff were always incredibly responsive and helpful throughout my time there. Having been part of the first cohort, I witnessed some initial teething problems with our program and also how the university addressed those problems. Northeastern listened to student feedback and made improvements in every area while I was studying. Those initial issues mainly surrounded transitioning to a greater number of onsite faculty and TAs (i.e. a reduction in the reliance on Boston based resources), and improvements in the scope and focus of the ALIGN foundation courses. At this point, most, if not all classes are taught by an "on-the-ground" faculty member in Seattle. To be clear, this was mostly the case at the start but the situation has only improved. On the other hand, having the Boston campus as a resource benefitted several courses that I took, as there was a lot of mature, well developed material available from existing Boston classes. I should also mention that the breadth of availability of classes is also constantly growing. The faculty in general are mostly, but not exclusively, professionals from industry (there are also classes taught by full-time faculty) and are typically highly qualified (often PhD) and abreast of current trends. The downside to this, at times, was access to the instructors but they generally put in a major effort to make time for office hours and to help students online. I believe that, as more TAs, become available as the program matures, that issue is easing. The quality of education I received was very high and Im very satisfied with what I learned. If the small campus feel is for you, Id certainly recommend considering Northeastern in Seattle.

Do not donate money unless it is contractually protected to be spent on EXACTLY what you want. Scholarship and fellowship money is generally protected but check. My info comes from experience through Boeings dealings with UW and from a family member who is an alumnus.

Branden Security at this building at 7pm on 1/31 treated my fiancee with disrespect and disregard of the universitys values. She felt unsafe in his presence while on campus. My fiancee, a student at Antioch went to campus to study with with a peer around 6:30pm. They continued to study for an hour until they were met with security, stating they were 30 minutes past close and needed to leave. They acknowledged it and security left the room. After that interaction my fiancee went to the antioch seattle campus info website, and found that the "Regular Building Hours (Weeks 1-10 of each quarter)" listed for Fridays are from "8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.". In fall term she had a class that did not conclude until 9:30pm, and even then the security was kind and accommodating to them when they remained later than 9:30pm. With this information she went back to security desk to confirm the hours that the facility is open to. After she brought this up with security, she was immediately with the comment of "how long have you been a student at Antioch" and "this is just what antoich is like, welcome to Antioch". He then follows up with, "i was only scheduled until 7pm, im already here 30 minutes later, the building closes at 7pm, you need to leave". So my fiancee wished him to have a better evening and returned to the study room to pack up her bag. This is where security decided to escalate the situation. He followed my fiancee to the study room, opened the door and stated, "you need to check your privilege, this is Antioch, Im the poor oppressed employee, you need to leave because campus is closed" and proceeded to show them the time on his phone. My fiancee was taken aback by this comment because it was unnecessary and irrelevant to the situation. After that he proceeded to accuse her of refusing to leave while they were packing their bags. During this interaction she reassured him that they were actively leaving. He then proceeded to mock her during all of this by raising the pitch of his voice and stating, "your smirk is adorable, is this some kind of character that Im supposed to know". This was another comment that she didnt really know what to do with. So she decided to say, "we dont know each other, so why dont we as adults leave the conflict here, and we will take our things and leave". At this point their bags were packed and ready to go, and he repeats that "youre refusing to leave". At this point my fiancee felt incredibly unsettled, and felt as if the security officer was seeking a reason to escalate the situation. At that point my fiancee decides to leave for her safety. He continued to follow them to the elevators watching very closely while still antagozing them. And then states, "we need a march for the poor oppressed white man". This interaction, and especially this comment, was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional, the antithesis of what Antioch stands for and values. After this my fiancee and her peer took the elevators down. He proceeded to follow them again, down the stairs to usher them out the door. Once they were out he stood in the doorway to ensure they didnt try to enter again. This was intimidation on a large scale for two students who just wanted to study. Two students who were by no means a danger to the campus, and have never ran into security that treats people like this. My fiancee feels completely uncomfortable and unsafe going back to campus now and does not wish to return. This man should not be working here as hes displayed unprofessional, erratic, dangerous, and provoking behavior. As stated before, he also does not align with antoichs mission and values with the comments he made about oppression. Im not sure if antoich hires their own security or goes through a third party, but they need to do better.
