edgar rivera Love this school. Running start, later returning and then Nursing program its been excellent . If you do things with time and are proactive, you’ll do great. Lots of great staff here. Even the small Grandview campus is excellent. Always clean and safe. Dorms are chill and for $350 a month, it’s hard to complain. VERY AFFORDABLE school. No need to go waste your time and money at a 4 yr when you can do your prereqs here, but do whatever you want with daddy’s money

Bryan Stout Is YVC a perfect school? No. Is it a pretty good school? Most of the time. During my time here, I found that if I accepted YVC for all its flaws and imperfections, it would do the same for me. More often than not, I felt supported by this college during my journey of academic and personal self-discovery which let me move on to bigger and better things away from Yakima and this college. Its not perfect, but if you put in the work, its a good enough college to get you to where you want to go in life. And at the end of the day, I think thats just about everything you could ask for in a community college.

J I graduated in December and have yet to receive my degree. It’s almost June, and nobody answers the phone. I had finally got through to somebody in March and they claimed the company they go through for the degrees printer was broken. I have been calling for a while and no luck. I don’t have time to go in person. Throughout my years here I’ve only gotten through to someone twice. Twice in two years that should tell you something. Also financial aid office is a nightmare. Good luck!

Rod Vilic I attended Bates in 2009 and earned my highschool diploma and an associates degree. Yesterday, I ran into an old friend who recently graduated from the welding program at Bates and now happens to work at the same company I am at. After catching up, he told me that he remembers me sharing my experience from Bates and how I told him I was struggling with math and almost did not graduate. He recalled that I told him one particular teacher mentored me, tutored me after class, and prepared me for the final math exam in which I passed because of her patience and relentless effort to support me and my learning challenges. He then shared of his experience and let me know that 15 years later, he had the same exact experience with that same exact teacher. I felt called to write this review because of the major impact this teacher has had on at least two people. I am so thankful for her help all these years later. If anyone gets the opportunity to attend this great school, you will be extremely pleased to have a class with Mary Ward.

Avery Schlatter I saw only 4 reviews on there and one that gave a 1 star review over 1 employee, which isnt fair to the instutution as a whole. So, after dealing with a handful of employees as a new student, I decided to give my own review. Everyone from Financial Aid, Admissions, Security, Enrollment and general staff I find to be highly competent, helpful, polite. They listen, dont talk over you, give solid advice and ultimately get you moving forward and fast and friendly as possible. Looking forward to finishing my Associates degree there.
